Fantastic experience: We had a very pleasant visit with Dr. Heller and his staff. The cost of the procedures that we needed were printed out so we could decide what we want to have done, and he even did a scan on my husband who brought me in because I knew he also needed a dental work. They managed to work with my schedule and my finances to get done what we need done and plan for any future work we need so that we both have functioning teeth, which we do not right now. Fantastic experience: I've been coming here since I was in my 20's and now am 67. I have an implant from here that is over 40 years old and still going strong. Got a few more in the past few years and was impressed as always with the cutting edge knowledge and professionalism during my visits. I have also moved many times through the years so have seen my share of dentists and oral surgeons across the country, as sadly I inherited tooth problems from my dad's side of the family. No other dental office has ever been as wonderful as this one. It's always a pleasure to visit yearly to check up on how my implants are doing and getting a good report.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Heller preformed three dental implants for me back in 2014.. he went above and beyond.. he saw how imperfect my bite was, he ordered a mouth guard for me and told me that he's not going to charge me for it.. this is something I will never forget.. I drove over two hours for each appointment.. I have so much trust in Dr. Heller.. I am back ten years later so he can address a new issue I have with my Gums.

He gave me a new lower jaw and the most beautiful teeth anyone could ask for, not to mention I can bit and chew healthy wholesome foods again... and his staff is unbeatable, kind caring and very good at what they do. We drove 7 hours for Dr Heller to do my reconstruction and implants of my lower jaw and it was worth every minute of every hour. Fantastic experience: Approximately 45 years ago, I had the founder of this practice, Duke Heller, install an implant in my mouth. Approximately one month ago the tooth came loose. I went to my dentist and learned after having an xray that the implant was fine, but my dentist had never seen an implant like mine (understandable given that my implant is older than my dentist) and she wasn’t sure how to reconnect the tooth to the implant. She sent me to an establishment that specializes in implants—that also had never seen an implant like mine. I assumed Dr Heller was retired (he is) but made an appointment at the office he had established, hoping someone would recognize my implant. As Iit turns out Duke’s son, Dr Rob Heller, now works there. Dr Heller immediately recognized the problem (the adhesive holding my tooth to the implant had failed) and immediately resolved my problem that same day. I have no doubt Duke Heller is rightfully proud of the service his son provides and for providing this service in such an exemplary manner. In fact, starting with my initial conversation with the receptionist to schedule an appointment, to my interactions with the various assistants that helped with my situation (turns out gluing that tooth back on involves several steps) , to my conversations with Dr. Heller-every thing and everyone was extraordinary. This is what I call “old school customer service “ but in a modern setting.!

Fantastic experience: Admittedly, I haven't yet had the work done. But so far, my experience with this organization has been amazing. I’ve had a ton of dental work due to a childhood accident. Many root canals and crowns, so I know a good dentist! Dr. Heller was by far the most thorough dental professional ive ever seen. He walked me through my X-rays in much detail and patiently answers every question I had. We were planing on a 4/16 surgical tooth extraction with a temporary affixed bridge when I was told a 4/2 opening came about. Initially, they couldn’t make it happen as the manufacturer who makes the bridge needed at least a week. So I left and went on my marry way. On my way home, the office called. The has another conversation with the bridge provider and somehow got them to turn it around by Thursday (usually takes 2-3 weeks!). I was elated as A. I’m a singer and my teeth are critical to my singing but B. This infection is getting worse and worse (delays getting in for options everywhere). So the thought of waiting another 2 weeks for the surgery was rally stressful. We will see how everything else goes but this far, super impressed and confident I chose the right oral surgeon.

Fantastic experience: The entry desk staff were prepared for me without giving my name. All staffers treat each other with kindness and respect. What they are doing to serve their patients is difficult to do and to have done. They are careful ,accommodating and optimistic about positive reconstruction of a failing mouth from the first visit. They believe they can get the job done successfully or they don’t offer assistance. If a procedure doesn’t go as planned for the patient they go back to work and get it done until it is successful for the patient.

Negative experience: In the first place, reviewing a dentist for the experience of getting one implant, vs. the complicated and much more advanced situation I had, is quite different. Because of a bike accident from years ago, followed by incorrectly placed implants, I needed to have the four infected implants across the front of my mouth removed, and after lengthy healing, my mouth needed to have layers of bone surgically added to my sunken upper jaw before installing six prosthetic teeth. No one told me that doing this would require that I wear a (fake teeth) device (Essix) which would make me unable to eat while wearing it. (I would have to just eat at home, alone, since I would not want to take off my front six teeth in a restaurant.) I discovered this by doing some Internet research. I called their office to explore more. I was fobbed off onto a surgical assistant who obviously did not care that I would be paying over $40k for the complete procedure - I did not deserve compassion or courtesy. She screamed at me! Interrupted me! I could not get a word in edgewise and could not calm her down so I could ask some questions. Her boss, Dr. Heller, and her other boss, his daughter/ office manager named Samantha, backed her up! Said she was great! Finally, after much back and forth, Samantha claimed responsibility for this omission (which to me was the fault of Dr. Heller). Ultimately, I decided my $40k+ and I could go elsewhere, rather than dealing with these people for the next two years! Also, Dr. Heller had scheduled my surgeries (yes, multiples) so that I and my driver (you cannot drive yourself) had to get up at 5 am because he would be having dental students observing the surgery on Saturdays (he did not ask me to agree to this), and this surgery time was best for them - for each of the surgeries. At one point Samantha said I should just trust them. Trust them? They barely made time to talk to me about my $40k+ worth of activities! I found someone better through University of Cincinnati. Nobody I've talked to has heard of Heller. He's not fabulous or wonderful. Never trust a handsome millionaire. They don't care about pleasing you.

He's everything that you can imagine, personable, friendly but most importantly is he is dam good at what he does. He Keeps things simple and easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: I found a warm and welcoming environment where I felt relaxed and cared for. I have had one other implant a few years ago, which was a very different experience. The staff there was sterile, robot like and did not make me feel even close to comfortable. I am thankful I have found this environment that is competent, yet personable.

Now I have the pleasure of Dr. Heller's son is working diligently on a new one. Staff and Dr. Heller himself is in process of working on this new one same tooth. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Heller for 4 years. All of the staff especially Dr. Heller, Samantha and Karen are wonderful! Bedside manner is fabulous! I have had a bone graft, 2 implants placed, gum grafting done, and working on tmj treatments at this office. I drive 1 hour each way but it is worth it! I have had periodontal issues for years and they have helped me improve my oral health significantly! They explain treatment plans preop and postoperative care thoroughly! The office is equipped with advanced technology. They offer many different treatment options. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: The staff is nice enough but I feel like they were not truthful with me about my treatment. I was referred by my dentist, who had put in a crown onto an implant, which was placed by an oral surgeon. The crown failed so my dentist referred me to this office. I was first told by this office that the device implanted in my mouth is not what was documented by the oral surgeon. They removed the original crown and tried to determine what device was used. This took nearly 3 months to determine what was used. When I asked questions about what happened, I was given very vague answers and little information. No cost estimates for the care were ever provided to me. When this office finally determined what was needed to correct my issue, which took 3 months, during which time I was missing my front tooth, they insisted that I pay $3,200 before they could complete treatment. Again, this was the first time I heard about any amount that I would need to pay. I asked for documentation to go back to the oral surgeon to show how their error caused me so many issues, but this office said that nothing was done incorrectly and it just needed to be re-done, which was incredibly frustrating. After I paid and received the treatment, my primary dentist advised that they would have re-done it for free. When I called to speak with the office manager, Sam, or asked to speak with her when I was in the office, she was never available. On top of all of this, this office doesn't accept any form of dental insurance, so you have to navigate the claims process by yourself, which is not straightforward. I am glad that I now have a tooth, but am very frustrated and angry with how I could never get straight answers, my treatment plan was never discussed, costs were never provided before treatment, and now I have paid for the same treatment twice, which was very expensive. Again, the staff is nice enough, but be warned that you will be bamboozled and end up paying a fortune out of pocket, with little to no hope of being reimbursed by your insurance plan.

Fantastic experience: Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience here. I really appreciate Dr. Heller taking on my complicated case and giving me a wonderful result. I thank him and his staff for their patience and always treating me with kindness. Having 3 missing teeth while in my 20’s was definitely not easy, but Dr. Heller and his staff always reassured me and gave me confidence that my end results would look exceptional, and they do. My permanent denture is a work of art. Every aspect is considered - not just “fit” and color, but my smile, my speech, my chewing - the dentist and staff are not satisfied until everything is JUST RIGHT. Fantastic experience: Great service. I use to be very nervous when I had my teeth cleaned. I even had to use gas for me nerves. Today I did not use the gas. This is because over the last year the dental assistance has been working with me to soove my nerves during the cleaning. This saved me $ 300.00 because the thay was the cost of the gas.

Fantastic experience: I don't like going to the dentist, and I dreaded the fact that I had to get an implant. But Dr. Heller's team helped me to feel confident that the procedure would go smoothly, and it did go really well. He did the entire procedure in 1 hour and I had zero pain without being sedated. If you have to endure this procedure, choose this guy, he is really good.

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough great things about this practice. Dr Heller, Dr D. and the team all have exceptional bedside manner top notch client service. I have horrible dental anxiety and they have always been extremely empathetic and calming. Dr Heller took care of me a few years back for a raging infection that OSU neglected and made worse. The practice then took amazing care of me through the entire implant process. My smile is beautiful again and I will always recommend them to anything in the Ohio area.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Rob Heller for the first time in March 1992. That’s 32 years ago, need I say more. I drive 2 hours one way for my appointment. I will be 82 years old next month and Dr. Rob has done many procedures over the years and I have received the best care possible. Due to health conditions, I was on my way to losing all of my teeth when my dentist sent me to see Dr. Heller. He said if anyone could help me, he could. Fantastic experience: Odessa, Dr. Heller, and the super friendly and professional support staff have placed me on a path to full dental restoration with a treatment plan that respects my desire to save as many of my natural teeth as possible. Their innovative and compassionate restoration strategy involving laser treatment to destroy bacteria and help rebuild tissue allowed me to overcome my “buyers premorse” as a result of previous implants with another provider that failed.
