Fantastic experience: Just left my first visit with this office and I am wonderfully pleased. This is the first time I’ve gone to the dentist and they’ve actually walked me through what they were seeing and explained things to me instead of just telling me what the plan of action was. Very accommodating and understanding staff. Looking forward to staying under their care!

Fantastic experience: Love this place!! Dr. Sanyk is patient and kind, and Jen is the best! They snuck me in for a last-minute filling, sent me a handwritten card when I had to cancel because of illness, and truly treat their patients like family. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment on 7/9/26 with Smile Hilliard and very happy with the results of my visit. What a fantastic group of caring individuals. Dr. Sanyk was very professional and explained the entire procedure before proceeding, including costs, so there would be no surprises. I cannot give enough praises to the entire staff for their caring professionalism. If you're looking for a great dentist, please add Smile Hilliard to your list. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Positive experience: The dentist was great. She was very thorough, took her time during the exam, and answered all of my questions. The office staff was also friendly and helpful. My frustration was with the billing. The office is upfront that they are an independent provider and accept all insurance and that you pay at the time of service and then submit to insurance for reimbursement. What wasn’t explained clearly is that insurance may only reimburse based on its allowed amount, which can be much less than what the office charges. That means you can still end up owing a significant amount even after insurance pays.

Fantastic experience: If you’re scrolling through reviews trying to find a quality dental practice like I was, take my advice, you can stop now. I am a newer patient and am so grateful to have found Smile Hilliard! I have some preexisting dental issues that require continuous dental work and it’s been so stressful trying to find a dental practice that doesn’t make you feel like just a business transaction. Dr. Sanyk and her team have been absolutely wonderful! I had a prior procedure done at another practice several years ago that caused discomfort from the get go, followed by being shuffled back and forth between dentists and medical doctors, resulting in nothing but frustration and no help. Thank you Smile Hilliard for caring enough listen and take the time to do some additional exam procedures—they saw what was wrong and I had a corrective procedure done yesterday. Today, I feel better than I have since this all started several years ago! I am beyond grateful. Again, if you’re scrolling reviews in search of the best dentist, you can STOP SCROLLING!! You just found them.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sanyk and team are always so prompt, thorough, and kind. I have been a patient since nearly the beginning and I continue to recommend people to their office.

Fantastic experience: I live out of town and had been experiencing a problem with the right upper molar for more than a year. At each six month exam, my dentist said the problem may be with my sinuses, because he couldn’t find any reason why I should be experiencing pain when biting down on something hard. He suggested I visit my physician, which I did. My physician prescribed an antibiotic twice, suggesting it may be a sinus infection. Each time some of the pain did leave. I also began to have sensitivity to hot, cold, and sweets. I wanted a second opinion. While I was in town visiting, I decided to go to my daughter‘s dentist for a review my situation and have my six month cleaning. They took all of the x-rays that were due annually. Dr. Sanyk reviewed the x-rays and talked with me, sharing with me a more detailed explanation of why I was having this issue. Dr. Sanyk devised a four-phase plan to help resolve my issue. Her office provided a breakdown of each phase and the cost. As of now phases 1, 2 and 3 have been completed with a much improved ability to chew on the right side. Unfortunately, if phase 4 has to be completed, it will need to be done at home since I will be leaving shortly. I thank Dr. Sanyk and her team at Smile Hilliard for such exceptional service and scheduling me in for the second opinion on such short notice.

Positive experience: easy appointment scheduling, nice front desk, billing is a little difficult if you don’t have a lot of money to spare, you have to pay the office directly, then insurance will reimburse you, which they are transparent about. I also thought i got a thorough exam, however, I was asked not to bring my toddler back, (which i’ve never had a problem with at any other dentist) at first it was because they had a time constraint and other patients, but then it was to give me a good experience and take care of me and she didn’t feel like she could work safely with a toddler around. It’s their right as an office but i just felt really awkward and tense for the rest of the visit. I cancelled my other kids appointments because it doesn’t fit my needs and it can’t fumble around the upfront billing with 2 other kids and I need an office that can accommodate families better, but other than that they really are a decent office. you would probably have a good experience.

Negative experience: I started going to this dentist when I was 11 years old and the first thing Dr. Sanyk said to me when she saw my teeth was “Euhh! You definitely need braces”. I was slightly insecure of my crooked smile already, but that comment made me hate my teeth more than you would imagine. Almost ten years and a set of braces later, I still feel discomfort when I know someone has to look at my teeth, out of fear that they are judging me the same way a “professional” was when I was just a little girl. At my second most recent appointment with them, I was told I had 4 cavities that needed filled and I was extremely alarmed. I forget the exact amount I was quoted, but it was over $400 so I decided not to get them filled. At my most recent appointment (I noticed a line on my tooth that I wanted to get checked), my copay was over $100 and I was later told over the phone that a cleaning would be $410. I asked them if they no longer took my insurance or something, and was informed that they no longer take ANY insurance. I was not made aware of this before my appointment and I had to ask to find that out. Pretty shady. I decided to switch to a different dental practice, got a cleaning and was told I had absolutely no cavities. Last I checked, cavities don’t just go away on their own. The front desk staff and hygienists are usually kind, but the lack of transparency with the financial aspect of things + the misdiagnosing is extremely concerning.

Fantastic experience: Smile Hilliard was fantastic! The team is full of energy, they are very knowledgeable, and they take the time to hear your voice as a patient. The work flow was efficient, their technology was advanced, and they took several measurements I had never had before at my other dentist office. My hygienist, Brooke, knocked it out of the park and Dr. Sanyk was very insightful. I am personally recommending this business to friends and family and decided to leave a review online as well. Give them a try!

As a first time patient, everyone was kind, helpful, and, as previously stated, thorough. I have never had a dentist sit with me as long as Dr. Sanyk did and go through my x-rays/pictures. Fabulous! Every detail of my little guy's visit was explained and the insurance (financial pieces) were detailed up front. My son was a little nervous going to someone new, but he loosened up right away! As we left, I scheduled our future appointments and they were very accommodating. I even received an email with our appointment confirmations and a direct link to add them to our calendars. Fantastic experience: I had my check-up the other day. Jenny took good care of me, as well as Dr. Henderson. My evaluation revealed I needed more treatment, possibly, and i was referred to a specialist. I am glad i came in, especially because I was made aware of a situation that could have gotten worse. Jenny cleaned my teeth, gently and thoroughly. The office staff informed me of the cost of future treatment, if I so needed it. Fantastic experience: This review is way overdue. I've been going to Smile Hilliard for about 6 years. When I first started seeing Dr. Sanyk, my teeth were a disaster. I was afraid of the dentist and hadn't been in a long time, so a lot of work needed to be done. Dr. Sanyk and her staff expertly fixed everything at a reasonable price, and they made me feel extremely comfortable every step of the way. I have never experienced any pain in her office and I haven't had any dental issues in several years now that they have cleaned everything up. The entire staff truly cares about you, patiently answers your questions and addresses any concerns you have. If you are located in the Columbus area and are seeking a dentist, look no further than Smile Hilliard.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at smile hilliard is wonderful. I love the clear communication about anticipated expenses so there are no surprises, and the guidance and education my family receives during our visits. They are all so good with my kids, who actually get really excited to go to the dentist! Dr. Henderson is smart and patient and I am so glad she is our dentist. Dr. Sanyk has seen me a few times as well and she is just as fantastic.

Fantastic experience: This is long, but you should listen to science vs podcast about dentistry. a good % of dentists suggest you need work you don't because they do not think you will come back and they want more $. This is NOT Dr. Sanyk and this is NOT Smile Hilliard. The team truly cares about you and your teeth. I had left the practice for a bit due to insurance and came back because I trust them. My first impression in 2019 - I was told at another practice in Dublin that I need a root canal and a crown and went to Dr. Sanyk for a 2nd opinion. The root canal and crown were not needed and the tooth is on a watch list, but I have had the tooth now for 5 years with no issues. While I know that tooth can use work in the future, I trust Dr. Sanyk whenever it is due. I was sad when the situation with Delta Dental insurance came up- it still works but you need to pay and then get refunded by Delta. I decided to try a different dublin dentist. At this other dentist, the visit took FOREVER (over an hour ). The dentist only looked in my mouth ( didn't touch any teeth) and said I had 2 teeth that needed fillings. I was wary of this, and decided to go back to Dr. Sanyk at Smile Hilliard again. Flash Forward to recent- I was welcomed back to Smile Hilliard with open arms, not needing cavity fillings as suspected, and tried out the delta dental insurance pay and get refunded. I am so happy to be back with a dentist and practice that I trust. Dr. Sanyk cares about your dental health and she is not dental work happy ( IE, you don't have a new cavity after time you go unless your dental hygiene is poor). I'm so mad at myself for even trying a different dentist. Smile Hilliard had me pay, submitted everything to Delta Dental and Delta Dental sent me a check in the mail within 2 weeks. I will continue to go to Smile Hilliard- the whole team is fantastic.

Fantastic experience: The dentists and staff at Smile Hilliard continue to take great care of me. Aside from giving me a lot of confidence in their ability over the years. They've also been just as friendly on every visit I've had in the last 6 years. Brooke did a great job as usual on my most recent visit yesterday. I'm really glad that this is the place taking care of me, I'm in good hands. Update from 3/15/23 Visit. Always on top of things they took care of a previous filling that was giving me trouble. Very smooth operation and they treat me like a family friend they really care about. I'm thankful I'm a Smile Hilliard patient. Update from 6/12/23. They support a really great customer experience and it seems everyone in their office are thinking about the customer and helping to fit their Dental health in with a schedule that can work with their financial situation. Thanks Brooke, Kaylee and Nick for helping me figure out the money part of my dental health. 12/2023 So easy to work with and I feel taken care of here.

The people that work in this office are unlike any other dentist office I’ve been to. They are personable while still being professional, and have taken away all my fears of coming to the dentist. Fantastic experience: I truly cannot recommend Smile Hilliard enough! Dr. Henderson, hygienists Tara and Brooke, and Kim and Kayla at the front desk are all absolutely wonderful. The whole staff is professional, kind, and communicative. I struggle with medical anxiety but feel so relaxed here. I appreciate that the doctor and hygienists frequently check on you and offer breaks during treatment, and they all work very gently. I had some fillings done today and didn’t feel a thing, not even the injections because they used a topical gel beforehand. It’s very clear that patient comfort is their goal, and they certainly achieve it! :)

Negative experience: Very deceiving office staff. We were instructed that our insurance was no longer in-network but that everything would still be covered at the same rate. This was a lie and now we're out several hundred dollars for a simple cleaning even after the insurance coverage. Not a great way to do business.

Fantastic experience: First time to this office and everybody was so kind and helpful! i went in for a cleaning and exam and Jen was absolutely wonderful! dr. Henderson was also wonderful! they both went over everything with me and all the work I would need done and advised me step by step what the process would be. Kim was also very kind and helpful, she advised me and talked to me about the breakdown of work id need done and that they would work with me even if it took multiple visits to complete. Fantastic experience: This is by far my favorite dentist office I’ve ever been to. It has a new modern, clean interior design that provides a comforting environment . I usually prefer to listen to the music that is playing overhead, but they do offer Netflix or tv in each room too. The hygienists, dentists, staff are always super friendly, welcoming, and energetic. They are easy to contact for scheduling purposes and if you schedule for your cleaning every 6 months on time, you will get 2 free whitening trays which is always a nice bonus. 10/10 recommend :)

Fantastic experience: I'm a new patient at Smile Hilliard. From the time I walked in to the time I left I was served great, and consistent, customer service. My needs were thoroughly explained to me, I was given multiple opportunities to ask questions, AND I got to watch Home Alone while getting my teeth cleaned. I reached out to a handful dentists in search of a new provider; Smile Hilliard was not only the first provider to contact me, but they did so quickly. Fantastic experience: My teeth were cleaned by Brooke and when she was done they where as white as snow. I would consider Brooke the GOAT of dental hygienists. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Brooke was sweet and is Happy fun person. Gentle touch for cleanings. the Dr's and the whole team are very friendly and helpful. the photos of the teeth are added bonus for any patient to see and know exactly what is going on in their dental care plan. office is super clean and update.

Negative experience: I had a cut on my gums and wanted to know if I needed stitches. I told the dentist I had terrible experiences with dentists and that I had gotten a cleaning a week before somewhere else (they were closed this day). I was basically yelled at about how I needed to get surgery for my receding gums and ended up paying $85 for a 10 minute exam to be told I did not in fact, need stitches. I also wasn't informed about how to care for this injury. I felt very uncomfortable.

Positive experience: My hygienist Jen was very sweet! I am bummed that I probably won’t go back, because the dentist explained that she does not like my Delta insurance, and we would have to pay for services upfront , and deal with getting payment from the insurance on our own, starting in January! Back to finding a dentist again!

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful dental office from the time you come in the office till you leave ... everyone is very friendly ... office staff, dental hygienist, and dentist. My hygienist has been with the office for 6 years, is knowledgeable, and always assures I am comfortable. The dentist and I even shared a couple quick stories, so takes time with her patients. I also appreciate the text message notifications reminding me of my appointment.

Fantastic experience: Updating a couple years later .... My insurance changed again and Smile Hilliard doesn't accept it. However, I love the office so much I decided to go self pay. They offer a great "club" for self pay. It's similar to what my insurance offered but better in some ways. Dr. Sanyk takes her time and makes sure not to miss anything. By taking a few extra minutes she found a questionable spot on my lip/gum. She took time to look it up while I was still there and is sending pictures to a pathologist. She always goes the extra step! ---- Original review: I have had a LOT of issues with my teeth, gums, and jaw that left me extremely anxious about going to the dentist. When my insurance changed, I put off finding a new one for WAY too long. A couple friends recommended Smile Hilliard so I gave them a try. It was REALLY easy to contact them online (which was really helpful with my anxiety). Not surprisingly my dental issues were still a problem. Dr. Sanyk and her staff are amazing. When I need them, they are always there. I walk in and feel like I am being helped, not talked down to. My insurance changed again, but this time I was able to stay thanks to their in-house program. I won't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: This is the perfect practice for anyone that has a fear of the dentist or trauma surrounding prior dental procedures. I had avoided going to the dentist for over 2 decades because of the multiple traumatic dental visits I had experienced in my late teens, early 20's. Over those years - I would only visit a dentist when I was in severe pain. I would only allow them to work on the painful area. It would be a different dentist each time because I never felt comfortable or heard when telling them of my fear and it just played into my anxiety even more. This roller coaster of dental visits finally stopped when I found Smile Hilliard. I can't even articulate how much this practice means to me. They just get it, get me - and their main concern is my well being above anything else. They remember conversations you have had with them from prior visits, they remember your prior trauma - they do everything they can to make you feel like you are their only priority that day - and they do it effortlessly. Recently, the practice became out of network for me. While in most cases - that could be the deal breaker - but I will continue to be a patient at the practice because I am convinced there is no other office out there that can help me overcome my fear and trauma like they have been helping me do.

Negative experience: Canceled my appointment without notifying me and stated they would not due business because I canceled a previous appointment due to a migraine which I explained I suffered from routine migraines when I started going. Staff can be very rude. Don’t waste you time.

Fantastic experience: Love this office. Have been coming here since they opened. My teeth have been and their best health since I've been coming here, partly because I feel I was encouraged and educated during my first few visits on how to improve my oral health.

Fantastic experience: Very accommodating. I had a new patient appointment for late in the month but ended up having some pain before hand. They got me in quickly and treated my issue the same day. The staff was friendly, Dr Sanyk & the hygienist were also very friendly, thorough, and efficient. I definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a great dentist/dental experience.

Negative experience: I love that they have TV you can watch while you go through your appointment. However, Saturday appointments are the reason I started going here and they no longer offer those. I know several people who have had problems missed that caused bigger problems later or something was messed up causing them a lot of pain. Every year they badger you to use up your dental benefits and it gets annoying. They've also been removed from my insurance network.

Fantastic experience: The name of this dental practice says it ALL! Dr. Sanyk, Kristin DeMain, RDH and the entire staff at Smile Hilliard make you feel welcome and valued. They really take the time to go over every detail of your visit. Front office staff are quick to acknowledge you and help you through providing information needed from medical history to insurance coverage. Kristin took her time with my initial exam and x-rays, explaining any issues along the way. Dr. Sanyk actually sat down and reviewed all the x-rays with me, providing details and options for next steps. I am glad I left Aspen Dental and found such a caring, friendly, professional dental practice at Smile Hilliard!

Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. Extremely professional, courteous, and professional staff. They numbed me for a filling today and I felt no pain at all. They let you pick a show to watch while they work. My kids have also had a great experience there; they like and respect Dr. Sanyk and are excited to brush and floss their teeth at night. The front desk staff is really great about trying to make things as convenient as possible for our whole family. I also love how streamlined and efficient everything is. Fantastic experience: Decided to visit Smile Hilliard due to a recommendation from a coworker. So glad I chose them! Very nice and professional staff. Brooke was wonderful to have as my hygienist for my routine checkup and cleaning. Super sweet and answered any questions I had regarding proper care. Dr.Sanyk addressed some concerns of mine regarding my smile/teeth health, and set up a pretty affordable treatment plan. I know I'll be in good hands when I go back for my treatment, and for my future routine visits!

Positive experience: Update: I no longer use this clinic because of some rude man employed there. Initial I had great experiences at the clinic dealing with the women there, they were very polite, professional and friendly. I had an interaction with a gentleman who works there via email over insurance information, that was was so disrespectful I decided to find another clinic for dental care. ✍First impression, it’s a hidden gem! Do not be fooled by the store front. This is a well ran, very professional, and efficient operation. The facility is clean, modern, technological up to date and the whole place has a clear, well thought out customer centric business plan. They have clearly embraced technology as far as communication, payment systems, top of the line dental tools and registration. Services: clear and articulate, financial plans were explained thoroughly, as well as expectations. The willingness to accommodate my needs on short notice was surprising. Staff: very pleasant, well versed, knowledgeable and upfront about insurance plans, pricing and information. I showed up 3 minutes before my appointment and was in a chair being seen very quickly. As a diversity champion I was surprised, delighted and impressed that it appeared to be majority women employed and operated. Bottom line‍: first impression is a lasting impression. I would recommend Smile Hilliard for to meet any dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Look, I haven’t been to the dentist for around 5 years because adulting is hard and it was never a priority. Recently, I broke a tooth and it’s caused some pain and there’s been some weird sensations going on in my mouth. I heard about Smile Hilliard from a friend, and I’m like seriously amazed! From the start, I was greeted by Darian by name as soon as I walked in the door, and she explained so well how to get checked in. From there, Jen came up and got me and helped ease any anxiety I had (which is more than I’d like to admit). She got to know me and my history both within the dental world and beyond, which was so comforting. She also took time and was thorough with everything she explained . Niki came in to help and was super friendly and helpful and I could tell she’s got a great sense of humor! Dr. Henderson was so welcoming and seems like and relaxed and calming person! While there, I also had an interaction with Ashley and Tera literally in passing and they were so pleasant as well! I finally ended my appointment with Zel and she took such great consideration in how she explained the treatment plan and financial options! This place is like a big family and welcomed me and made me feel so at home. It was easy to tell that there is so much care and passion within this office and I can’t wait to get back and get a smile that I’m really proud of! Thank you to everyone at Smile Hilliard!

Fantastic experience: I have a very extensive dental history and had been switching to Smile Hilliard after being with the same dentist since my teens. I was worried I would be judged based on my history but Dr. Sanyk and the wonderful technicians didn't bat an eye. They even squeezed me in when I was nervous I had cavities while pregnant and the staff is extremely helpful with paperwork and any billing questions. I feel blessed to have found this dentist!
