Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Colorado Kids Pediatric Dentistry! Both of my kids have been going there since their first birthday, and every visit has been a great experience. The entire team always makes them feel so welcome and comfortable, and they are incredibly patient and caring with children. Dr. Mike and his staff are amazing—they take the time to make each visit positive and stress-free for both kids and parents. And, of course, one of my kids’ favorite parts is getting to choose a toy after their appointment! They have such a fun selection, and it’s the perfect way to end the visit. I highly recommend Colorado Kids Pediatric Dentistry to any family looking for a wonderful pediatric dentist!

Negative experience: We have visited this clinic four times, and while our previous experience with Dr. Wags was excellent, our most recent visit was incredibly disappointing. After being rescheduled twice, we were seen by a different team that seemed to lack experience with toddlers. The hygienist did not introduce herself and spent ten minutes asking my son for permission for every step rather than leading the appointment. This created unnecessary confusion and hesitancy for him. When he became understandably resistant, she offered ultimatums—telling me we’d have to leave and come back—which is not a viable solution for a parent of multiple children who has already been rescheduled twice. There was zero communication with me as a parent, and when I finally asked for the dentist to step in, the hygienist reacted unprofessionally and walked out. The dentist also failed to introduce herself or provide a summary of the exam. We left feeling ignored and uncomfortable. We will not be returning to this practice.

Positive experience: We have been going to CKPD for about 18 years, twice a year, and we have always had a good experience. This last time was not so great. The hygienist who treated my daughter today barely spoke to her and was extremely rough with her mouth. It was very painful and she left with her gums bleeding. That has never happened before. The quality of service and the friendly welcome that we have come to expect was not there.We love this place and this one incident is not indicative of the whole facility itself. Negative experience: Updated 12/23/25: Unfortunately, after coming to CKPD for years (the only dentistry my 7 and 10 year olds have gone to), we had an absolutely awful experience yesterday. My kids were to have back-to-back appointments (this allows me to be present when they're being seen so I'm aware of how things are looking and any concerns). Unfortunately, about 5 minutes into my daughter's appointment, the hygienist comes and takes my 10 year old son without letting me know (I only knew because he handed me my phone back as he was right outside the door of the room I was in with my daughter). I figure this is fine - we weren't seeing our regular hygienist anyway, so it'd be ok. Little did I know that in the middle of his cleaning, the original hygienist tells him she can't scrape anymore and they switched hygienists in the middle (I found out only after he told me). Then my son is seen by the dentist without me being present - I didn't even know she was looking at him till she comes walking into my daughter's room to tell me my son didn't have any cavities. I've never seen this dentist before, she doesn't introduce herself, and she doesn't explain why we aren't seeing Dr. Wags who we were scheduled to see. Then she looks at my daughter for less than 30 seconds, tells me she has no cavities. Then asks me who my son sees for his ortho then proceeds to tell me my daughter needs an ortho consult - with no explanation as to why an ortho consult is needed. I then have to ask her why the ortho consult is needed (I guessed why in my question and she got very offended when I didn't use the correct terminology) and she gives me a curt answer and then leaves. Both kids were in and out in less than 30 minutes - this included x-rays for my son and my son starting 5-10 minutes after my daughter. I felt like they did not care one bit and that the only important thing was to get us out as quickly as possible. I also came to find out our regular hygienist has now left which is disappointing and worrisome as we had been with her for years - she was very friendly and explained what she was doing to both the kids and myself. I will be reaching out to the office manager to let them know what occurred here and will be reaching out to Dr. Wags to get a proper assessment of my daughter and to find out the next steps with her since the dentist we saw was too inconvenienced by us. Original review from a couple years ago: We've been coming here for the last 3 years with my son and now just brought my daughter for her first check up. Theresa has been wonderful and patient/caring with both kids. She doesn't push the kids too hard and makes it an enjoyable experience for them. We met Dr. Wags this time and she was wonderful with the kids and took the time to listen to my concerns and explain certain conditions. Overall, very happy with our experiences here.

Negative experience: I took my kids here for an appointment today and the intake forms were insanity. Half the questions weren’t medically necessary and some weren’t legal yet they were require. They wouldn’t see my kids without me answering them. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Dr. Wag really cares about the kids and every staff member cares and makes sure my kids are taken care of and feel good about going to the dentist. I have been taking my boys here for 8 years and I have only had amazing experiences!! I am a mom that is very protective over her boys and this office answers every question of mine and never makes me feel like a bother. I highly recommend this dentist if you want your kids to like going to the dentist and to feel reassured as a parent that they are getting the best possible care.

They see all three of my kids at once and make it so easy. Their front desk is also very good and competent we have never received a surprise bill. My kids love coming here. We love this place!

Negative experience: Dr. Wags and the rest of the dental staff here have been great, but Peg who answers the phone is so condescending and rude. Literally every time I've had to call in she's been awful to deal with. She seems to be delighted when something doesn't work out for you too, which is a sick mentality working for a children's practice. She's is a nasty person that needs help. Monitor her phonecalls and you'll see what I mean.. The insurance person, who doesn't work in their office and takes phone calls with her children screaming in the background isn't much better. Very rude. Talks down to you when you ask insurance questions. Very unkind and unprofessional. It's because of these two people that I will no longer be bringing my three children to this practice and we will be finding a new practice. They're horrid. I'll be letting my friends and family know too how the administrative staff acts here. Plenty of my childrens elementary school friends either go here or ask where my kids go. I'll have a lot to say about this place going forward. Don't take you're children here unless you want to be treated like dirt by their staff!

When Dr Waguespack bought the practice from Dr Norwood she agreed to keep the 5 adults with disabilities on as patients.(she is a children’s dentist). Our 53 year old autistic nonverbal son was one of the 5. She has been amazing to make sure he gets all the extra help he has needed through all the years she has had him as a patient and continues to do so! She has a special way with our son and he responds so well.to her. We, as his parents, are very grateful to her for her caring ways and treatment of our son. He just had a cleaning there yesterday, which, as always, went well!

Fantastic experience: My 3.5 year old had never been to the dentist and I was so nervous it would be a train wreck but CKPD was amazing! They have games and kid friendly shows, a fish tank, and the dental hygienist was great with my kiddo! It went so smoothly! We came home and she begged to floss her teeth and show her dad everything that happened at the dentist!

Fantastic experience: We had an appointment at this dentistry this past Monday, and it was a truly wonderful experience. This was my son's first visit to a dentist, and thanks to the warm atmosphere and exceptional team, he felt completely at ease. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a welcoming and fun environment, complete with a Pac-Man game, books to read, and a movie playing. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. The dental hygienist who brought us to the chair was equally fantastic. As she reclined him back, he was delighted to find a TV on the ceiling playing Bluey, which kept him happily distracted throughout the cleaning. He remained comfortable the entire time and genuinely enjoyed the experience. At the end of the visit, he was thrilled to choose two prizes, which he’s proudly taken to school every day this week. Thank you so much for making his first dental visit such a positive and memorable one.

Now at age 5 he loves going to the dentist! The set up works well, with a show on the ceiling screen, cool sunglasses, the playful kid-friendly staff personalities and prizes at the end. Fantastic experience: Both of our girls had various issues to get checked out and they both had a phenomenal experiences. They both loved their unique experiences. My youngest had a private room with Disney+ while my oldest got Bluetooth headphones. She was zoned out in the best way, making for a super comfortable appointment.

Positive experience: We love the clinical staff. Dr. Wags is kind and informative. All the assistants and hygienists are absolutely lovely too. The office is spacious and clean. The waiting area is cute and has games and a movie to keep your littles busy. They have the best prized for kids too! My son is always excited to go to the dentist to watch a movie, get cool prizes and play the games. My only issue is the front office team is very cold and seems bored. The insurance coordinator is rude, aggressive and cold. Every interaction I have with her is negative. We definitely don't come here for the front office.

Our daughter has several disabilities and struggles immensely at the dentist. The staff today took great care of her and made it as pleasant as possible for her (and therefore myself). 5 stars!

Negative experience: We've been going here for about 5 or 6 years, and it's always been a pretty good practice. The front desk staff and techs have always been pleasant and the space is clean and welcoming. We've noticed a lot of turnover in the dentists, however, and we don't even know them by name since they don't stay long. On our last visit, the dentist (another new dentist to us) was very abrasive. Making snarky comments about our son's surgery boot to him, and rolling her eyes when she told me that my sons don't brush well because they are "boys". My son was taken aback by his interactions with her, and I felt she was rude and unprofessional. Sadly, we're moving on from this practice as a result.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience. We have been taking our kiddo here for about a year now. We are always greeted warmly, the dental assistants are so friendly and are great with kids. We see Dr. Bland for regular check ups. He's so gentle and kind. Our daughter had to have some teeth pulled for orthodontic prep, and Dr. Bland performed that as well. The entire experience couldn't have gone better. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Dr. Wags and the current orthodontist are great. The front desk and insurance/billing is disorganized and unfriendly and do not work fluidly as a team creating issues for long time patients. They have also had four different orthodontists in four years, which has led to a longer than planned treatment for my daughter. We have been patients for 15 years and will be finding a new practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been bringing my four kids to this dentist for over 17 years. The staff here are masters of distraction and use movies, sunglasses, conversation and prizes to keep the kids relaxed and unconcerned about cleanings and fillings. The dentistry is excellent. We've never had a billing issue or single problem. The lobby has video games, movies and toys. My kids actually enjoyed going to the dentist. I just wish they'd take adults!

Both my kids have had a lot of problem teeth (extra teeth, missing teeth, you name it) and I feel confident in CKPD, so much so that we stay rooted here even though they are not covered by our dental plan.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy with our experience here! Our pediatrician recommended we schedule our son’s first dentist appointment at his 2 year check up. This was the first office I found under our insurance so I went ahead and requested an appointment. I heard back probably within 10 minutes to get an appointment scheduled. The woman on the phone was so kind and helped me confirm my insurance did accept their office and get set up on their portal. When we arrived, it was such a fast check-in since I already completed the necessary forms and all they needed was our insurance information. While you wait, there’s a seating area for both adults and kids as well as a little arcade machine and a tv for them to watch while they wait. When we were called back, the dental assistant (I believe that is her title, if not I apologize!) showed our son their beautiful fish tank and he LOVED it. Then we were taken to our room where she began showing him all of the different instruments and let him hold them and play with them. She was absolutely awesome with him and helping him get comfortable with everything and the atmosphere. When the doctor came in, we tried to have him lay on us in the chair but he didn’t like that, so then we sat him in our lap and laid him backwards so she could look in his mouth and he did FANTASTIC! It was so fast that they looked at his teeth. Both the doctor and assistant were so wonderful with him. And then the front desk ladies were so sweet and kind with him! We are truly so happy with our experience here especially since this was his first ever visit. I would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic experience: We love Colorado Kids Pediatric! We've been taking our 7 and 9 year old boys to the HR location for many years. Dr. Waguespack and the staff are very friendly and kind. They make it fun for the kids with prizes, games, movies, etc. Our boys look forward to 'the movie on the ceiling' when they get their teeth cleaned. We have had a great experience every time we visit.

Negative experience: My kids were patients here for about 3 years. That was probably 2 years too long. Our first bad encounter was when my neurodivergent son was shushed during a tooth extraction. He had multiple teeth pulled but we was not put into a procedure room, he was left in the cleaning area for the procedure. The doctor shushed him and told him not to scare the other kids. It was his first major medical/dental procedure at 6 years old. He did not need to be shamed for being scared. This office has been through 3 different orthodontists since we have been here. I think that amount of turn over speaks for itself. We were sent a VERY informal and unprofessional email regarding a balance, and then did not receive an actual bill for months. The account was then sent to collections over the matter and my child's appointment canceled with zero warning or courtesy of a phone call regarding the issue. We arrived at the appointment and upon learning of this I asked to speak to the office manager. They were too busy in a "doctors" meeting to speak with me. I was told I would receive a phone call when they were available. That was weeks ago and i waited to give them the opportunity to make this right or to allow the opportunityto addressthese concerns privately. I have still not received that phone call.

Fantastic experience: Warm and friendly staff. My son loves coming here because they have Pac-Man in the waiting room, a huge tropical fish tank, and they get to pick a prize when they’re done. Not to mention, everyone seems to truly care about the kids here.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this pediatric dentistry! They always are patient and kind to my kids who are 3.5 and almost 2. They do a great job of not making them uncomfortable and easing them into the whole dentist visit. They also get a little gift/prize at the end to pick out. I highly recommend! In the past with another dentist, I had issues with them scolding me for what my kid eats, come on they’re kids and it made me super uncomfortable, and wasn’t comforting to my kiddo.
