Negative experience: Horrible, stay away as much you can the front desk are unprofessional they even don’t know how to send a pre authorization form I don’t know how they got this job with their zero communication skills .besides that ,this clinic is practicing a discrimination on medicaid patient they will treat patient so disrespectfully and give too long appointment and I’m going to file a claim about that.

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of dental drama! ALOT! Even at my worst-in pain and hopeless-Dr. Mehlman and his staff have rescued me. Every single person in that office-from the ladies at the front of the house to all the ladies that make all the dental suites hum with activity-they are all compassionate and skilled. And of course, they say it comes from the top-I would go anywhere that Dr. Mehlman practiced. Thanks to Dr Mehlman I have any teeth left at all lol I will be forever grateful. Thank you all so much!

Negative experience: Do not book with this place , i should have listened to the reviews. I needed a root canal for and infection that i got over a month ago no one called me to say i got approved . I called in and was told there it’s no appt until Nov and the only person that handles the root canal left the country and don’t know when they will be back .

Negative experience: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! It takes a minimum of 6 months just for a cleaning!!! For a root canal, forget it! Also a minimum of 6 months. You will wait so long on hold anytime you call the office. They will pick up and immediately say "please hold" and then leave you waiting forever. The front desk staff are incredibly rude as well. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE!!! I have switched practices to Eastern Dental and am extremely satisfied!

Check in and check out ladies don’t know what they’re doing… even with the patient chart in their hands… it seems like the communication is lacking in this place . overall it’s a complete mess.

Fantastic experience: We have been searching for a place that would extract a tooth. We found plenty but they all pushed for other things before and after extraction. We came here and it was honest, straightforward and knowledgeable staff. The surgeon wasn't pushing anything and gave my husband all his options without pushing for anything more than the other. He was quick with extraction, he paid attention to when he was able to feel pain and made sure it didn't happen again. We were in and out within an hour and hubby is doing great. The tooth was removed without issue and he was back to himself within a few hrs.

Negative experience: This dental office is horrible from the greeting to the dentists terrible attitudes miserable employees treat customers horribly dentist's are a bunch of liars charge your insurance for procedures thst weren't done. Negative experience: I came as a new patient to my appointment at 9am and they told me because I was a new patient they were short a doctor and couldn’t see me and would not accommodate me at all. Negative experience: Absolutely horrible, I used to be a patient here and switched dentist offices after getting new insurance. Unfortunately due to another change, I had no choice but to come back here for a dentist. I had an emergency appointment 4 weeks ago due to severe pain on the left side of my mouth, I couldn’t eat or drink without excruciating pain. When I went in for my appointment I was told by the dentist that I had a large hole in one of my teeth on the top left side and it was located in between the teeth. I was told that although severe, the tooth could be saved as long as I have a root canal asap. I was told by the dental assistant and dentist that the office did not have a root canal specialist and I’d be referred out, I was also told that they would submit the prior authorization for the root canal to my insurance due to needing one. 2 weeks go by and I still heard nothing, I called the office back and spoke to I believe her name was Brittany, she checked and notified me that the prior authorization was never submitted and that she would do so while we were on the phone. She assured me that it was done and advised me to call back in 1-2 weeks to check on the status. It’s been 2 weeks since I called - 4 weeks total since my appointment and I am once again in excruciating pain and cannot eat nor drink, the pain has me nauseous and dizzy. I called my insurance company today 2/9/26 whom informed me that they still never received a prior authorization for a root canal but instead received a claim for a dental cleaning which I NEVER received at their office the day of my appointment. My husband called the dental office to see if there was any way to get me back in for another emergency appointment to see if there is possibly anything they can do to help with the pain as Tylenol and orajel are no longer working - the woman my husband spoke to was extremely nasty and unhelpful. She snapped at my husband that only the root canal will help which no kidding and I should’ve been able to either have it scheduled or done already but due to the incompetence and complete negligence of the staff and facility, I have to continue to sit in extreme pain until either they submit my prior authorization or I can find another dentist whom can get me in immediately. Do not come here

Negative experience: I called the other day to ask about my options for rescheduling due to the potential inclement weather next week. I was told the next available appointment was in August and was assured they would remain open despite the storm, and that notices would be sent if they did close. Today, however, I received a call stating that I need to call them Monday morning, and if no one answers, it means that they are close and my appointment has been canceled since they do not send courtesy notices. I was also told the next available appointment would be too far out, and that I would need to call again once they reopen to reschedule—likely near the end of next year. Wow like January and end of next year are just a couple days apart. This is a business with zero customer service.

Negative experience: Let's face it...not everyone is happy about going to the dentist but, if you take care of your teeth it shouldn't be an issue. The staff at Shore Family Dental are all awesome...from check in to check out. I look forward to my next 6 month check up. Update ..after going there for several years, service has gone downhill. Two appointments cancelled with very little notice by them for not having a hygienist . Very annoying after scheduling and waiting for the appointments.

Fantastic experience: Dr Melnahn is the greatest dentist I've ever had. He makes you feel so comfortable and he is really great at what he does. With my old dentist I dreaded coming to the dentist and he always shamed me about my teeth. But I feel totally different with Dr Melnahn as my dentist. I would highly recommend Shore Family dental and Dr Melnahn. You couldn't ask for a better dentist. And the technicians are really great as we'll. An all around great experience at Shore Family dental!

Negative experience: there schedulers are horrible, super rude, shouldn't even have jobs, not to mention they lie about leaving customers voicemails when the customer doesn't even have a voice mailbox. So how was that possible?? Don't even try asking for a manager because you will get laughed at and told "NO". This office is the definition of malpractice at its finest!

Positive experience: Dr Sarni and the assistant are always nice. Bad news is expected at the dentist office, but they deliver it nicely. Hopefully that universal health care will come soon!

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous at first as it is the first time to this office since the merge with my previous dentist practice and when I first walked in they seemed so over busy and overwhelmed but they managed to help everyone as efficiently as possible. Then when I was brought back I was informed what I thought I was there for was not what was put in and they managed to quickly fix and help take care of the matter. Very happy to still see Michelle for hygiene cleaning and my Dr.

Negative experience: I went to this practice strictly to have 2 crowns put on because my fillings were old. I had no cavities and no pain or problems. Both teeth Dr.Sarni drilled he traumatized both teeth by drilling too far and drilled into the nerves and killed both teeth. Both teeth he touched the crowns feel off in 2 months, he damaged the nerves and after all the money spent and multiple appointments I was left with both teeth now needing root canals because of the HORRIBLE drilling damaging the nerves by Dr.Sarni and because of that I then needed 2 root canals and 2 crowns because both of the ones he put on fell off in 2 months. The practice would not let me be treated by any other doctor and there was no way Dr.Sarni was touching my teeth I went else where. This place is a disgrace they wouldn't tell my why I had pain all around the perimeter of both teeth after Dr.Sarni took a drill to them. I had to find a good dentist elsewhere who took the time to explain the damage Dr.Sarni did to my teeth. Beware. Be aware Don't go here. And they post fake reviews "and she cleaned my teeth and I cried tears of joy" Please get real.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever in a dentist. Had a 1 pm appointment. Was early and waited patiently in waiting room. I was put into a room not long after to be left in there for and hour and half alone. No exaggeration and hour and a half!! I ended up getting up and leaving since I had to be home for my kids to get off the bus. They never even called to see what happened

Fantastic experience: A very patient set of doctors and nurses all explained to me the process of a complicated crown insertion. Plenty of forewarning whenever anything would be uncomfortable and are all about treatment with maximum importance surrounding both patient comfortability and communication.

Fantastic experience: I had changed insurances and had to change dentist. I was really nervous about the whole thing because I have been with my previous dentist for so long. I have to say it was a very good experience. They were very professional and they were very nice about everything. I would definitely recommend them!

Negative experience: This was my first and last appointment. I would not recommend this practice at all. In a nutshell, I waited for close to an hour to be seen. When I inquired as to why, I was met with some attitude and an "I'll check". Obviously they forgot about me because within minutes I was back in the room where I was informed that they couldn't do the cleaning because it was too late since my appointment was for 3:00 and it was already 4:00 and they had others waiting. I guess my wait didn't count. Of course I won't go back. What a waste of my time don't waste yours.

Negative experience: Worst dentist I’ve ever been to and they do not care about their patients at all. The woman that work at the front desk are nasty. I’ve had an infection for months just for them to give me a hard time to get the root canal I need. The insurance denied the claim because they didn’t put in enough information when I call to talk about it they talk over me and are just nasty. They do not care. The office is disgusting and overcrowded. I still have the infection and the woman was disrespectful because I asked for them to try again with the insurance. Isn’t that part of their job?

Negative experience: I went there for a dental cleaning and they said because I couldn’t take x- ray’s that they weren’t going to see me. I’m disabled and in a wheelchair. I never had to do X-ray’s and they claimed that I had X-ray’s done before at Amara dental which is in the same network as them. Which I never had done.

Positive experience: I had to wait a bit to get in but was well cared for with attention to my infection and pain. Communication and a plan to treat and recover was prepared along with a fair payment plan.

Negative experience: They do not care about their patients. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The place is a joke. They called me to move my appointment from 12:00 to 11:30, I said okay. It is now 12:15 and I’m sitting in the lobby waiting still. They want to charge you if you are late or need to reschedule but they feel it is perfectly fine to overbook themselves and make you wait. I have a schedule to keep as does everyone else. Go anywhere else if you value your time, this place couldn’t care less.

Negative experience: Up until now had very positive experiences but my granddaughter had a toothache since Friday, I called Monday morning and they can get her in next Monday. She’s 16, still young, they have no emergency services. I guess they don’t know anything about toothaches to think it’s ok to wait a week.

Negative experience: Got my root canal done here 2 yrs ago and have another took almost 3 weeks to get an appointment for the root canal and the day of the root canal appointment they call me and say my claim was denied so I need to come back for more X-rays I go get the rays done and they say they see another tooth that needs to be treated. Wait for a reply never got one so called today and front desk lady is trying to give me a lesson in manners because I called and said is my claim denied or do I need to go somewhere else BC it’s been 2 months now dealing with this prior authorizations the front desk lady I wish I remembered her name is trying to say the way I’m coming off is I’m blaming her for my denial and honestly she says they notify when the claim is denied by insurance and it’s been denied yet no one even called me or said anything. Charged my insurance for repeat xrays I didn’t even need because I got my X-rays at my own office and then denied twice don’t even say anything while I’m here suffering with my tooth. Could’ve called so I could find another place instead want to lecture me on how I’m on the phone well yes I’m pissed bc this office is so unorganized and the front desk wants to make you seem like the bad guy instead of trying to resolve the issue never in my life have i had an office front desk try to put me in my place which is incredible because your office sucks in the first place and now you want to go on about phone manners like is that a joke? Now I have an infection for a tooth that should’ve been treated months ago. Great job. Great service. Great desk!! the doctors are ok and the people who do the X-rays but they need training at the front desk on how to talk to patients and potential ones there’s no need to make it seem like it’s my fault that my claims are rejected and I’m literally pulling teeth for a reply. Hope they record the calls because I’d like someone to go over my call with that receptionist. No wonder this doctor office has horrible reviews. God bless my root canal was denied TWICE don’t want to go there now. They turn away patients as well because when I was there for the x rays the front desk is lecturing AGAIN a patient that they are no longer allowed in the office. Horrible experience would never recommend this place to anyone. The rudeness and lack of care of patients is crazy. The lady should’ve just kept it pushing tryna give me a lesson for what??? Because your office is bad at communication to begin with and then I have to get lectured on how to speak Bold attitude for no reason at all.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place. The secretary was very rude and wanted to give me an appointment for two months from now. I asked if they could give me an appointment closer to that time because I had a tooth emergency, and she was rude. I am giving them two stars because the dental assistant was kind during the checkup.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this practice for years for a range of services including root canal fill ins cleanings etc . These people are so kind and so helpful, I have had nothing but positive experiences thankfully and my most recent visit was the end of March for a root canal in which both Dr Sarni and Dr Nick did such an amazing job that I had no tenderness or pain after ! My next appointment is for my permanent next week and I’m looking forward to crossing the end of the finishing line as far as my teeth go and it’s all because of these wonderful people and the hard work they do each and every day ! I would recommend this practice any day ! Ps . Carolyn works along side Dr Nick I believe and she is truly amazing as far as information goes on what is going to happen with the procedure you have ,so comforting to see people so passionate about their work and actually care for their patients well being , love this women and these people

Negative experience: Awful experience with the staff. They are rude on the phone and even worse in person. Lack of clear communication. No dental hygienist currently and that was not explained. It truly felt like they dont care for the business or the patients. They are overwhelmed with the amount of patients they have and it trickles down to the staff, who clearly operates how they want without accountability or oversite. They will be losing my business as well as my wife's solely due to the office staff actions.

Positive experience: Quick friendly check in. Dentist and assistant were great. Check out was a bit sketchy. I was charged $98 when I pointed out there was a huge sign on the window about six feet tall saying new pts pay $80. She was rather curt and said oh no dear it’s $98. When I pushed further she said I had an emergency appt. I said emergency??? It took me 2 weeks to get an appt! Again she said $98. There is also a sign that says emergency walk ins welcome. Clearly you can not walk in. They need to take those signs down.

Fantastic experience: Christine the dental hygienist is the best! So thorough, thoughtful, and kind. A true professional who cares to educate her patients. Dr Murgoles is also amazing! He knows best and has my full trust. He took care of a tooth problem I had and I’ve never been happier with it. 10/10 would recommend these two.

Fantastic experience: My name is Zachary and I've been going to Shore Family Dental for over 9 years starting 2016. Dr. Nik Gavrilis and Dr. Sarni have done my entire mouth of teeth with significant problems and they worked wonders. They are the most gentle, caring, patient, accommodating, understanding professionals I've experienced yet, and together they are a dream team. Dr. Nik does the root canals and Dr. Sarni takes the handoff and does the rest, and does immaculate, precision work, very gently. They are very relaxing to be around and their bedside manner is gentle and kind. The quality of this practice and the staff is self evident. They will work with you on price. The office staff is patient and professional even during high volume days. They try to be personable and patient and have a lot of experience and this makes them knowledgeable with answers ready to go. I would recommend 10/10. They are responsible for completely removing my fear of needles and dentists. It's actually a fun experience I look forward to now and I've been transformed. Fantastic experience: My appt went very well no wait time an all the lady's in the office were amazing ,the dental assistance was fabulous and as always Dr. Sarni was fantastic. I never have an issue with anything and I leave happy an smiling . Shore family dental is my favorite dentist!!
