Fantastic experience: I had 3 fillings done on teeth in my lower jaw. The procedure was done with little discomfort and no pain. The numbing agent was gone 3 hours after the procedure with no soreness. I call that a win.

Fantastic experience: Drs. Toms and everyone at Uptown Dental has restored my faith in dentists. Not only is EVERYONE so kind and professional, the approach of the doctors is next level instructive and insightful. I never felt like they were trying to make money off me (sell or create charge opportunities to raise costs). Drs walked me through every picture and xray. Explained options and nothing was a required next step.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been visiting this practice for about five years now and they’re great. They provide specific feedback about any trouble spots and mitigation and always provide services with compassion and professionalism. Over that time, I haven’t noticed a lot of staff turnover, which is also great for continuity of care.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about both Dr. Toms (they’re a married couple) at Uptown Dental. I followed them from Audubon Dental about 10 years ago when they opened their practice, and it is such a calm environment with soothing art, spa music, and even essential oil diffusers to help keep you calm and not anxious. In all of the exam rooms, there’s a large tv with satellite cable so you watch whatever you want while they work. The exam chairs are also massage chairs! They’re also the first dentists to really understand TMJ and instead of just saying they could handle it themselves, they referred me to the TMJ clinic at LSU. My TMJ is basically entirely resolved and cleared up, although I still use my mouthguard daily. I also find them to be extremely honest, and they walk you through every step and show you your x-rays immediately if you do have a cavity or just spots they’re watching over time (I actually have only had them repair previous cavities, and have not had another cavity under their care). My kids even love them-they literally clapped and got really excited when I told them they have an appointment coming up. We love Uptown Dental!

Anytime I’ve gone in, they’ve asked how I was doing and made me feel at ease while I was there. One of those times involved me chipping my front tooth in half. They assured me they could handle it, and the new tooth looked just like the old one. Additionally, it didn’t cost an arm and a leg for the service! They are my forever dental home!

Fantastic experience: So far, so good. The office has a calming ambiance. Kate was diligent in scheduling an appt with my very busy schedule. My cleaning was thorough and gentle. I had molds done for a night guard and the process was pretty quick and efficient. The dentists carefully evaluated and explained, in detail, the course of treatment for each concern. I enjoyed the experiences and will definitely continue treating here.

Leslie was highly professional and her ability to complete my procedure without any pain was remarkable. I was reluctant to try their office because it’s a little far to travel to, but they are worth the drive for sure. I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: This has been my first dental experience since the 2020 shut down (not proud of it) - and it was a real treat! The chairs are now equipped with a back massager and 3 temperature settings - which I found relaxing and calming. All the dental and technical equipment also seemed very new and state of the art. The deep cleaning experience was very nice with the hygienist being very skilled and efficient. I really appreciated the clear explanations Dr. Daigle gave me about what was needed to catch me up. We decided to start with a first crown where most needed. Her expertise made the experience quite pain free and her craftsmanship with the different drills and maneuvers was evident. All in all this was the most pleasant dental experience I’ve ever had. Thank you Uptown Dental! If you are hesitant let this be your final push to go ahead :))

Negative experience: Had a very bad experience!!!..Did not like the final outcome of my dentures!!!..After saying so they left me in the exam room…The dentures are made of poor quality and they look like a 9 year old set of teeth!!!..Mind you I am 65yo so Medicare paid and if I wanted changes it would cost me 500 or more..I wouldn’t risk that..If I wasn’t satisfied with that outcome then what?..Will not recommend!!!..Will be reporting them to BBB !!!!

I’ve seen all 3 Dr’s in practice here, and they are all good! Finding the office is a bit tricky, but continue on St Charles ALMOST to River Road. It is right tgeee and has a good parking lot. Positive experience: Friendly, accommodating staff. Clean, modern facility. If you need anything more than a cleaning, go elsewhere. They have replaced the same filling on my tooth 3 times in 3 months because it keeps popping off. Previous dentist work on the same filling lasted over 10 years without incident

Fantastic experience: Just moved to the area, and saw that this practice came highly recommended online. They take all insurances, so that’s very helpful. I have a 12 year old and a 14 year old who went in for a cleaning. All of the staff were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I hovered a little at the beginning of their appointments just to be sure any of our concerns were voiced and that the kids were comfortable. The hygienists were super friendly, and made the x-ray and cleaning experience quick and easy for the kids. They had me back in the room while Dr. (Sammy) Tom did the kids’ exams. He took the time to talk in detail about their teeth and answer all of the questions I had. They also gave us referrals to a couple of great orthodontists. We’ll be back!
