Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here to Pomona Valley Dental with Dr. Anthony for 6 years and 7 months. I must say this is the best dental office I have been too. I feel I’m in good hands like family and feel 100% confident in Dr. Anthony’s work. The team this office has is the greatest. Everything goes smooth, from working with your schedule, answering and explaining every question and doubt you might have. Every business starts at the front desk and Fabiola sure makes you feel welcome. Elvia is the BEST EVER!! She has the greatest patience ever, she’ll work with you till she makes it work and is so dedicated to her job and cares about her patients. If you don’t answer your phone she’ll keep calling till you answer. This office also has pretty great assistants from Maria, Samantha and Abby. They are very nice and make you feel welcome. They are knowledgeable in their work they do and do it with a smile. I feel very at home when I come here without a doubt. If you’re looking for a new dentist I highly recommend this office. You won’t regret it.

Then, one of my co-workers recommended Dr. Anthony Nguyen. I am so happy I came to see him before returning to the previous dentist. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are very friendly but most of all, honest. Turns out I didn’t need half of what I was told from the previous dentist. I have now also brought both my daughters here and we are so grateful to have found a new dentist. His staff is very professional. Starting with the ladies at the front desk to his dental assistants. Fantastic experience: Came here 2 times once 2020 (covid) and now! Honestly great, you tell them your in the slightest pain they do whatever they can for you! Even during crazy covid they got me in last minute! The staff are sweet even when your freaking out, they do there best with insurance trying to get you financed. Would recommend.

Negative experience: BEWARE OF STAFF. Receptionist does not help she just puts you on hold and transfers your call to the manager. Manager Elva is RUDE. She hangs up on patients. They do not care about there patients.

Fantastic experience: I came across this place while looking for a surgeon that specializes on removal of high risk nerve damage on wisdom teeth. Nowhere else would take me, but Dr. Anthony did. While the surgery was going on he would explain what he was doing and asking how I was feeling, always making sure I was okay. I’m so grateful I found such a great surgeon that took care of me while I was in such pain. The staff is great all around from the front desk Elvia that went through the process of explaining the cost & procedure; to the assistants, Jasie Tran that later removed my stitches! Ever since the extraction of my wisdom tooth I’ve been coming here to get all my work done. I highly recommend them! Update 4/3/2023 I got my another wisdom tooth taken out! Like I mentioned before this is a great place, it’s clean and the staff is friendly. Elvia and the front staff are awesome people. Dr. Nguyen and his right hand assistant Ms.Vans are Amazing. I was awake during the removal of my bottom wisdom tooth. It’s was Huge, yes there was some tugging and pulling and everyone’s recovery is different. I know by now after having 4 dental surgeries done here that my face swells up a lot. That is how my body reacts and how it recovers. I was back to work after four days of recovery. Update 2/20/24 Another wisdom tooth got taken out, 3 out of 4. This one was a top one and it was close to my nasal glad. Before the dental surgery I was getting ear infections, headaches around my eye and neck were hurting. My face started to get numb that’s when I decided to go to the dentist because I had already been treated at the doctors for my ear infection and it would not go away. My tooth wouldn’t really hurt since my wisdom tooth never came out, but I just knew it was that darn tooth. Dr.Nguyen is really the best and I really trust him and his team. Whenever I need a dental surgery he is the man!

Negative experience: BEWARE: The old lady lied. She said if I pay for the x-ray then I will get a copy of it so that I can use it somewhere else if I decide to go to another place for consultation. After they took the scan and gave extremely pricey quotes I decided not to proceed with them. Then the receptionist refused to give me a copy and also refused to email it to another dentist. I feel scammed! It sucks that most dental places are money hungry and will do anything for greed.

My mom's teeth was never straight as she had overcrowded teeth. With Doctor magic hand, in a short period of time, she was able to perfectly aligned teeth. I get my cleaning here with Ms. Banh, she is very gentle with her work. I like that she is informative and cares for her patient. We love the staff here, they are friendly and make you feel welcome. Fantastic experience: I was experiencing severe pain, unable to sleep and migraines due to my body rejection of an implant. I called the office, described my issues and I was asked to come in immediately. Dr Anthony could have simply removed the implant and that would have been the end of it, however, Dr. Anthony tried to save the implant. Unfortunately my body rejected the implant. Today I was reminded why Dr. Anthony has been my dentist for 10+ years, his care for his patients, and staffs reflection of his care. I’m grateful for his care and concerns. Negative experience: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. You will leave with lost money, more dental problems and probably high blood pressure from the incompetency of this office. We took our mom to this office for consultation for dental work. They recommended few things to get done so we took their recommendations and pricing to do some research. Few months later we went back to get some work done with the office. We lost the pricing paper and did not remember the exact pricing. However, we were willing to pay whatever the amount to get our mom’s tooth fixed trusting they are reliable. They gave us the price, said the treatment can be completed with one visit, so we paid in full with no complaints. When we came back to pick up our mom, they said she needs to come back for two more times because they couldn’t get it done in one day. Fine, no big deal, THEN they said they will need another $500 dollars because they made a mistake on the pricing and now it’s more. Now things are starting to look sketchy with this office. We said that’s not acceptable because that’s the price we agreed and now they said they made a mistake and charging us more ?! Then they went and said they never change the price and we are supposed to know the price and double check the document we signed regarding pricing ? They take no accountability with their mistakes and will put the blame on you when the person who gave us the pricing the same day we paid in full is the manager ? If their manager cannot managed to get pricing correctly, then how competent can this office be ? We decided to paid the extra $500 hoping as long as the doctor do good work, although very disappointed the way management is handling this. Once the treatment is done, the doctor said her tooth won’t get reinfected again and she’s good to go. IT LASTED ROUGHLY TWO MONTHS! Her teeth got reinfected again just like before. We brought her in and they said the treatment failed and now she has to do extraction. This was never mentioned as a potential risk when Dr. Nguyen suggested the treatment and he also said at that time her tooth doesn’t need extraction. They offered to refund half the cost of the first treatment but we will need to pay for the extraction. HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE ? It was not acceptable as the office has gave us nothing but lies! Their words change every time we come to the office! We asked for a full refund and will take our mom somewhere else because at this point we cannot trust this office any longer and even the doctor who we thought we could. Of course as greedy as they are, they did not give us our full refund and so we left. Money isn’t a problem with us but the honesty of this office is the biggest problem. They do not provide HONEST full disclosure to you regarding your treatment. They will make it sound wonderful to get your money and will not take any responsibility thereafter. We do not want anyone to have to go through the same frustration, experience , and losing their hard earn money to this office like we did. So beware if you decided to come here for service. We will be filing a complaint to the DCA regarding the matter and are looking into a lawyer because I cannot tolerate the unethical practices of this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient for 2 year’s now and i can say all of them treat you like family. i got my braces done here in December 2021 and out May 1st 2022 . The results we’re incredible and i was grateful to have such straight teeth . I definitely recommend this dentist place very professional and clean . I love the people here working with great attitude :)

Fantastic experience: I have a very long history of problems with dentists. Some of it sensitivity, but often enough bad work. I just moved from NC where my dentist installed a poorly-made crown over bone recession. Last time I saw him he "did not recognize" an abscess there. When I moved to Pomona I went to Dr. Anthony. He cleaned it up, did a root canal (I know, I know) and 2 new crowns. I never felt a thing!!! Glory!!! His staff is very caring and friendly. It's been way too many years since I recommended a dentist. You gotta go there!!!

His office staff is top notch, courteous and attentive. Put it this way, I moved to Northern California 9 years ago and have not changed dentist, they are worth every mile of that 350 mile drive to their dental office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anthony and everyone in the office are very professional and caring for their patients. My mom needed a wisdom tooth removal after she had been in pain over a month. A separate dentist/office was unable to remove them, and on the same day Dr. Anthony examined her he was able to do the procedure. She is recovering and doing better thank you to everyone. I also had my braces and extractions done here I highly recommend this dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I recently came in for by 6 month cleaning. I recently moved close by so I t was my first visit at this office. I was greeted when I walked in by a tech, I believe her name was Fabiola. She was very professional and nice! I had a good experience with all of the staff. It is also a very clean office (you would be surprised how some clinics maintain their “cleanliness”)

Fantastic experience: The right place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. I had to do periodontal root cleaning and Dr. Anthony did a great job, I felt that I was in good hands. They explained very well what was going on. Beside American English, they can speak Vietnamese and Spanish as well. Professional, courteous, and friendly team. Highly recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I was a bit weary going back to the dentist after a year of chaos. The office is clean during the pandemic. Everyone was protected. I felt very safe going into the office. All the staff was kind. Quyen was very courteous. I would continue to come here again.
