Fantastic experience: First time visiting and was pleasantly surprised! I recently left Power Ranch dental after being with them for years because they did my braces and didn’t give me a bottom retainer ever and my teeth shifted then they were trying to sell me veneers. Honestly had such a terrible experience with them and was nervous. I come to Higley park dental care today and they were kind, transparent, not pushy and most importantly caring for my actual teeth needs vs trying to make money. Looking forward to working with them moving forward.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from my appointment with Dr. Gerhardt and the rest of her staff and I am impressed. This office can truly get you in quicker than just about any other dentist in Gilbert. The interactions with staff were all extremely amiable and they answered all my questions. It is hard to see them being anything other than polite. I had a filling fall out that was causing some sensitivity and this practice was able to see me the same day to see if it was an emergency that needed to be taken care of immediately (thankfully it was not). They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day to complete the procedure. I'm most impressed with the quality of Dr. Gerhardt's work. She took out an old silver filling that I had had as a kid in the same area where my filling came out. The silver filling made my tooth look very discolored compared to my other teeth in the area and it was really bugging me. The new composite filling looks amazing and matches my teeth perfectly. While I can't say this was the best $460 I ever spent I would do it again without hesitation. I'm very happy with the outcome and that's all that matters Thank you guys.

Fantastic experience: Dr Eckman saved my husband’s life! He saw something on my husband’s imaging and referred my him to an ENT… as a result, my husband had a cardiology appointment in which they found narrowing in an artery and yesterday, my husband had stent put in. If not for Dr Eckman’s thoroughness and true care, my husband may not have had this life saving procedure. When I told him today about the update, he cried with me. What a kind, compassionate- and excellent doctor and man! His staff is equally amazing and caring. I highly recommend - we remain very loyal and grateful patients!

Ever since we have been going there. The staff is always friendly and caring and Dr. Eckman is an amazing dentist. I highly recommend going to Higley Park Dental

Fantastic experience: Had to make a last minute appointment to help figure out a terrible tooth ache. This was the only place in the east valley that would give me the time of day. Not only were they able to slot me in, they went the extra mile and did more than just take a couple pictures, prescribe me medicine, and send me on my way. They actually took the time to look into the issue and address it there and then, not to mention this was about 5pm the day before the 4th of July. The staff here is amazing, as well as the doctor who handled my issues. Will be returning.

Negative experience: I do really like Dr. Eckman and most of the hygenists are nice enough, but unfortunately the office staff interactions and the interactions with the new dentist I have had lately are having me find a different dental office. My whole family has been going to this office for the past six years, and I hate to start over with a new dentist, but this place is not what it used to be. The office manager was pretty rude to me at my last two visits. My adult daughter also had a very negative interaction with her a couple of months ago. I don't need to deal with people like that. So out of line...

Fantastic experience: I went here for the first time after meeting them at a local business event. I haven’t been to the dentist since 2023 and the process was so easy. Everyone was so nice and explained everything in such simple terms. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I was sent to Higley park dental through my Medicare advantage plan which provides me $3000 dental coverage. I had my teeth cleaned and then scheduled 2 cavities to be filled. On the day of my appointment, minutes before going in, I was presented with a treatment plan that required me to pay several hundred dollars. I refused and walked out. Later I called my insurance to complain and was told that the diagnostic codes for my treatment plan were 100% covered. This made me feel like I was being scammed by Higley park. With all the talk about medicare fraudvthese days, this transaction left me wondering....

Negative experience: I sent them an email over a year ago because they're in my neighborhood, In-Network with my insurance, and have good reviews. I was looking to have a wisdom tooth extraction set up but since they're not responding I just found a place in Maricopa that doesn't need the referral. I'm still looking for a place for routine dental cleanings that actually responds to their messages. This wasn't an issue in the South.

Negative experience: I have been going to this facility for years, I believe almost 10 to be honest. I have had nothing but great experiences with the dental staff but recently had an interaction with the manager and/or front desk that has left me with no choice but to find another dentist. I am heart broken it has come to this but it is what it is:

Fantastic experience: Had a long procedure done today. Dr. Eckman was wonderful. So patient with me through a couple of times that I was having some anxiety and when I needed to take a break he gave me a short break to calm down. I’m so grateful that my friend recommended me to him and I in return say that people who struggle with dental anxiety should go see Dr. Eckman!! Him and his staff are wonderful and super caring people.

Not only did they accommodate me immediately, but they also handled my situation with utmost care and professionalism. The staff was incredibly understanding and efficient, making sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. By the end of my appointment, my tooth was fixed, and my pain was completely gone. Negative experience: Dental work is fine. It's the attitude of the office manager that will be sending me elsewhere with my business. Patients, be aware that if you call in because you have a fever the morning of your appointment you'll still be charged a $50 cancellation fee. And, when you refuse to pay it - because you were protecting the staff from a contagious illness - you'll be harassed for the $50. You'll be passive aggressively reminded that you signed a policy (they'll be sure to show you your own signature) and told about signs in yellow throughout the office regarding the policy. Oh, and then when you still refuse, the office manager says "she'll have to see if it's okay with the dentist..." Forget it. I'll be taking my business and my family's, which is worth a lot more than $50 might I add, to a place that has more respect and understanding for a busy mom managing a household with young kids who love to share their germs.

Negative experience: This dentist is deceitful, greedy, and will surprise you with charges outside of your coverage for "examinations" that you never asked for or were warned about. I have been going to a dentist every 6 months for the past 20+ years and never once have I been charged for anything outside of what my insurance covers. To say that insurance doesn't dictate what they perform is understandable, but they should make a much clearer distinction between what constitutes a "cleaning" versus an "examination." Even if the standard practice suggests exams every 6 months, give your clients the option so they can cross check with the limitations of their insurance. If you're going to Higley Park Dental, make sure you know what you are getting before any work/examination/cleaning is performed. Otherwise, you'll get surprised with a bill for work you never asked to be done.

Fantastic experience: I found Higley Park Dental, and Dr Eckman, 4 years ago for my daughter who struggles with anxiety. She was immediately comfortable with him, which was surprising for her. Since then, my husband and I have become patients and I have confidently referred others to him. I recently took my 85 year old mother to see him and he was amazing with her. Very kind and considerate of her age as he came up with a treatment plan for her. He even took charge of helping her to her wheel chair and wheeled her to the car after her treatment. All of the people in his office are very kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Eckman and staff are kind, calm, and professional, and always do a great job working on my sensitive teeth. The office is spacious and comfortable, and they use the latest technology to make dental procedures a breeze.

Negative experience: I used to love this place. The Dentist and Dental Assistants are super friendly and informative but today I called at 10:30am and the front desk was RUDE. She was very short with me. I had missed my appointment due and was not able to call or text to cancel because I was in a different country so I emailed them to try to cancel because I have a cold sore and did not want my mouth being worked on due to it hurting and being very contagious. When I called to reschedule, I explained why I wasn't able to call or text to cancel and that I did send and email trying to explain why I could not show up. The front desk lady just said "Nope, still a $50 fee". If I had COVID would I still get a fee? This is ridiculous when I am trying to stop the spread of a cold sore which is oral herpes. I asked her to cancel my reschedule and she just said "Okay, bye." That was all. She was very rude and not understanding. A shame because again, I think they do great work but unfortunately I will not pay $50 because I missed my appointment due to being sick and not wanting to spread the germs to others and I will not be treated the way the front desk treated me.

From the moment you walk into the door, you feel welcomed and the back is amazing. From the dental hygienists, dentists and assistants; they are all amazing. Fantastic experience: Dr. Yana Gerhardt Is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, but what truly sets her apart is that she genuinely has the patients best interest in mind. After fracturing one of my molars, Dr. Gerhardt explained all of my options and the pros and cons of each along with her recommendation. There are dozens of good dentists MUCH closer to my house, but I choose to drive almost an hour across town to see Dr. Gerhardt, because I trust her that much. This was my first visit at her new location, and I must say that every member of Higley Park Dentals staff was just as wonderful as Dr. Gerhardt. If you’re’ looking for a new dentist, This is the place to go!!! The office is beautiful, their equipment is all state of the art, and the facility is immaculate.

Fantastic experience: In the year or two I’ve been going here, I’ve gone from someone who used to have panic attacks just calling to make a cleaning appointment to someone who is no longer scared to go to the dentist. Dr. Eckman and his staff are patient and very good. I never thought I’d be a person who is comfortable going to the dentist, but I absolutely am now. If you’re on the fence and/or scared to go, just do it. Have someone else make the appointment for you if you’re too nervous about it like I was. These are great people.

Fantastic experience: Two things that stood out at this office was the great communication between the dental hygienist (Melinda) and me. She described what she was doing and if there might be pain or not. She was gentle and respectful. The other thing that stood out was the level of detail Dr. Eckman had during the examination. I praised him because I can’t remember the last time I had an AZ dentist actually poke around with his dental tools.This “old school” method is surprisingly absent from other AZ dentists. After the exam he gave me sensible options for care. I will recommend this office to my family.

The flexible hours, my previous dental went under new ownership in Mesa near Brown and Power Road which I had for 20 plus years went to Monday thru Thursday hours 7 to 3. WOW such BAD hours. My wife had been so happy with Higley Park Dental Care and OMG great hours for working people. The move from the 20 years office to Higley was a GREAT move. I expressed to the old 20 year office their answer was sorry you do not like the new hours find another dental office. Higley Dental has been much better for the last two years. I should have made a move much sooner.

Fantastic experience: I went for a cleaning yesterday and the staff was friendly and the hygienist was thorough. Dr. Eckman was kind and shared with me a situation I have that requires a procedure. While explaining he was descriptive and offered me a treatment plan without being pushy. I recommend this office for your dental needs.

Negative experience: Well we have been going to this dental office for 9 years. My husband recently retired so we paid cash for last visit. For the upcoming visit I called to verify the cash price, which basically tripled from previous appt. When questioned the receptionist said it was because I was on a periodontal maintenance plan off which I did not know or sign up for. When asked to cancel the appt, they were going charge me 50.00. I spoke to the office manager who could care less and had no desire to provide customer service and/or keep a long time patient

Fantastic experience: This was the best experience I have ever had at a Dental office. Dr. Bailey did my initial exam. She was wonderful, she explained everything and made me feel comfortable. My cleaning was great with the hygienist and enjoyed our conversations. I had extractions done by Dr. Eckman and he did an amazing job!! I was very nervous but Dr. Eckman and his assistant Dre were so friendly, compassionate and explained everything through the whole procedure. Oh, don’t forget the front staff. Fantastic experience: I moved to this part of Gilbert and wanted a closer dental office. I went in today and so far I love it! I had a cleaning done by Brittni, and my teeth feel great and she took her time. I saw Dr Bailey, and she answered all my questions and was very thorough.

Negative experience: Office very clean and nice, hygienist was excellent. Happy with the cleanings. Dr. Eckman was also very nice. Nice ended there. My wife took two of my kids went to this dentist- came back with a estimates of $6348.00 including several root canals. Went to another dentist for an estimate and was told that most of the work was not necessary or not needed at this time. Did a root canal on my 15 year old daughter. Wondering if she even needed it. Feel betrayed by their dishonest or at the very least overly aggressive business practices. Sadly this review is buried under lots of positive reviews. Buyer beware. Get a second opinion before you have them do work.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience with Dr Eckman and assistant Tiffany yesterday. I cracked two teeth during labor (yay as if labor isn't fun enough) and ended up needing two crowns. The two of them were so nice but they had me cracking up laughing so many times. How many people can say they laughed their way through two crowns right ?! It made me much more relaxed as a patient. And today Dr Eckman personally called me to see how I was feeling. It's so rare to find that kind of personal care these days! I've gone in before for a cleaning and a cavity filling and those were also good experiences. Very clean office and was very impressed with all the technology they have.

Negative experience: I have been a patient here for a year. In the fall last year I had a filling in a back molar. When I when back for tooth sensitivity I was told I would need a root canal in December. I was told not to pull the tooth because you should keep the tooth over implants. I have had on/off tooth pain in the last 10 month since. When I went in today the dr looked at the notes provided by the endodontist in December that there is still a root issue. So they want to do more work on the same tooth. While I try to understand the more work can be needed on a tooth/problem area I am struggling to understand why they have note in the system that there is an issue. Is their business model for patients to pay to have their work fix 3+ times?

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Higley Park dental for YEARS and I absolutely love it! The staff and doctors (Dr. Eckman and Dr. Bailey) are warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I'm a current dental student in Michigan and I love this establishment so much that I still book my 6 month recalls here when I'm visiting family. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dental home!

As a kid I think I went to the dentist twice ever and I'm not the best with dental care but I truly have to thank Dr eckman and all the girls he works with, they have done so much work to get my teeth back to normal and I really have to thank Cheryl too, she has been so on it and helpful! Fantastic experience: I have severe dental phobia and today the doctor Nd hygienist were the nicest I'm ever experienced. The worked with the Torai that I have and didn't hurt me by taking x rays. It was amazing. Very kind and compassionate people!

Negative experience: I had high expectations from this place and really wanted to like the establishment. However, I cannot. I went in for a cleanup which they (the staff ) pleasantly conducted. Then informed me I needed a root canal. They outsourced me for this... Went to have a root canal and half way through, the doctor says “ I have to stop” why I asked. Doctor said “because your tooth is cracked”. Why could they not find this when performing evaluation at Higley? Next they did an extraction and bone graph, I was in serious pain and Higley Park Dental would not respond to my endless calls and texts to Doctor Bailey. Finally, on a Saturday I stormed in to have another Doctor( Dr. Egland) look at me. He gave me a custom rinse ,Vicodin, and a steroid. After that I was fine. Almost a week later I went in for follow up with Dr. Bailey. She gave me more antibiotics. Bad stuff, last night I went to urgent care and the attending physician said stop using that antibiotic it is bad for you!! I have been in a serious allergic breakout plus they about killed my wife. Best find a more thorough dental doctor... ***BEWARE*****

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bailey is very kind and have lots of patient. I really appreciate how caring how dedicating to make sure my Crown #19 will fit. She gave me options if I want to wait to make sure the root canal will not flare up. If I decide to go through the root canal treatment. She has a lot of patient with me. The last set of hers assistance were knowledgeable and very nice. For an old person whom health conditions tend to either stable or heading south, I have the right dental office. Thank you very much Dr.Bailey.

Fantastic experience: I’m very satisfied with Dr. Bailey and the two different hygienists that have done my cleanings. My first experience was an urgent dental issue. Staff and Dr. Bailey worked to get me in right away. Dr. Bailey worked with my regular dentist and my oral surgeon in Washington state to develop a plan of action. Dr. Bailey was very supportive, kept me informed and made sure I was comfortable. I have recommended Dr. Bailey to others. The above recommendation is a couple of years old. I have since moved full time to Gilbert and Higley Park Dental Care is now our primary dental care facility. I continue to be very happy with the care provided and continue to recommend Higley Park Dental Care to my friends who are looking for a dentist.

Negative experience: My father was a patient of this practice for years. Unfortunately I believe the practice took advantage of him towards the end of his life. My father Harold suffered with lung cancer for numerous years and towards the end of his life the cancer spread to his brain. During the last 3 months of his life the dentist performed a very painful and unnecessary removal of all his upper teeth to provide dentures which my father did not need as his upper teeth were healthy. The dentist knew he had stage IV cancer and had a short life expectancy, and if observant he would have noticed that his mental capacity was diminishing. I picked my father up from the procedure while blood was oozing from his mount and it seemed procedure was brutal. My father could have possibly enjoyed his last few months of food better if this procedure was not preformed.

Fantastic experience: The dentists and staff are top notch. They are taking the virus precautions seriously which should make the patients feel at ease. They are very professional, competent, and courteous. I highly recommend this dentist office.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time at this dentist office. I am always scared to go to the dentist, but everyone was so friendly and professional. The Hygienist Brittany was so wonderful and made me feel so comfortable! I usually feel very down on myself after a dentist visit, but not here!!! We have a plan to get my teeth/ mouth back to healthy. I saw Dr Bailey and she was so gentle and wonderful . I did not feel pressured about any decisions that had to be made. They also told me what I could expect to pay after insurance. I highly recommend this office. I am so glad this will be my new dentist office.

Fantastic experience: Cheryl and Melinda were the absolute best! Made it a very comfortable and pleasant experience from the moment I walked in. All COVID guidelines were in place and the office was very clean. Best dental experience I’ve had considering the typical pre dental visit anxiety I get. Melinda is the sweetest hygienist and made sure I was okay throughout the cleaning and provided some great info along the way! Would highly recommend and will certainly be back, the commute is well worth it for me!

Negative experience: Horrible service! I had two appointments scheduled that I couldn’t make it to. One because of an emergency and one I actually showed up to but there was confusion around the appointment time and even though I was only 15 minutes late, they refused to see me. I was charged $75 per appointment for missing which was perfectly fine. However, I show up for my next appointment on time at 7am only to be told that because I “didn’t show up” the last two times and because I didn’t pick up their confirmation call, they randomly canceled my appointment. They told me that they left “several voicemails”. They called ONCE the day before while I was on the clock at my job. Never in my life have I had an appointment canceled because I didn’t pick up a call. Then the office staff has the nerve to try and lecture me like a child about how I “didn’t show up” before and they have other patients waiting. I understand that things are different with covid but have some respect for your patients! I would never try to take an appointment away from someone else if that wasn’t the absolute only circumstance possible and I actually did show up for one of those appointments and they refused me so that’s not even accurate. I’m never coming here again.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to the dentist in roughly 2 years. Totally on me, and my wife had booked something and then covid hit. Of course then I broke a tooth. I went to another dentist locally, and I won't put them on blast here, but their quote and estimate for work, even with my fairly decent insurance, was absolutely ridiculous and astronomical. Instead, my parents recommended higley Park dental. I thought sure I'll get a second opinion. Suffice to say they arrived at the same conclusion as the previous dentist but the cost is coming in at almost a third of what the other dentist wanted to charge me. The office is very clean, very up to date and professional, and the staff was absolutely amazing. Kim and Stephanie in particular. And the dentist himself was awesome. Looks like we've found our family dentist.
