Fantastic experience: I sadly fractured a premolar that required extraction and implant placement. I am embarrassed to admit that I have a bit of dental anxiety despite being a dentist myself, but Dr. Fruen and his staff were so kind and wonderful. The whole implant process was excellent! I could not recommend them more.

Fantastic experience: Got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, I chose to have anesthesia so I wouldn't be awake for the procedure. The whole process was great: before when they informed me of the surgery, during when they were prepping me, and after when I woke up. After I woke up a bit they wheeled me out to get picked up at a separate area designated for picking up. They shared all the important info with my fiancée on how to best take care of me, and it was a great experience. Cheaper then the quote I got over the phone too! The woman over the phone setting my appointment was incredibly nice, too.

Fantastic experience: On time. Communication on the procedure was good. Pain was well controlled. Suggest Dr use some Vaseline at corners of mouth for comfort and prevent chaffing, left with a couple sore spots.

Fantastic experience: My son recently had his wisdom teeth removed at this clinic. Tracy was friendly, the assistants made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The oral surgeon took the time to explain the procedure and answer our questions.

Fantastic experience: We asked to be placed on a cancellation list and they had an opening the very next day!! Dr Baird was great. Our 15yo son had to have his wisdom teeth removed and one of them had an abscess forming. Dr Baird made our son feel at ease by explaining everything and addressing any concerns he had. The surgery went amazingly well. He didn’t require any pain medication aside from just plain Ibuprofen. It was so wonderful that he did so well. The staff were very kind and the office is warm & inviting. We give this place a solid 10/10!!! We will always recommend our friends and loved ones, to this office!

Everyone went out of their way to way to make sure the procedure was done the day we came in for a consult. He had a great outcome and appreciate everyone’s help in assisting with the procedure. Fantastic experience: I really like the way the office is run. People are very helpful and friendly. I appreciate being treated so nicely and kindly. I really wanted to receive the dental treatment for my teeth but unfortunately my insurance did not cover the cost of the procedure. One really nice service is you can be put to sleep if you need or want to. The dental assistants were very thorough while gathering my information for the procedure I needed. Being treated so kindly by Dr. Hauck and the dental assistants and staff was impressive to me because of my age . 75 yr and being disabled. It’s a really positive experience.

Negative experience: I bet they are great but sometimes being late to appointments cant be avoided because of accidents, life, etc. Im not interested in a business who is so into numbers and filling spots that they really dont offer any grace to those who have situations beyond their control. Its funny because I really didn't need a consultation appointment anyways as I'd just been seen by my regular DM dr and had radiography. They sent all notes, etc and it was a simple extraction they could of scheduled to have me come in to have performed not generate another examination fee so their numbers look good and they make more $. I lived about 45 minutes from their office and got stuck on Mullinix road in Cheney at a train crossing. The train was sitting there and not moving for 20 minutes so not sure how I could avoid this. Im just disappointed as it took forever to get in and if they were more efficient they wouldn't separate out procedures and exams and be able to get more people taken care of in a timely manner. I waited 6 months to get an appointment.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr. Hauck and his team AJ, Riki, and Dylan for the extraction of my remaining 16 awful teeth followed by alveoplasty for upper and lower immediate dentures. Dr. Hauck also installed two bone grafts and implants for the lower denture. I was given IV sedation for the roughly 90 minute procedure (I'm no fool). He injected Exparel which kept me pain free for 72 hours, so I did not need opioids. It went very smoothly and the whole team put me at ease. I am over 80 and Dr. Hauck had previously extracted several of my bad teeth over the years. He always did a pain-free professional job, so I trusted him for this big job. So, here I am on day 6 after the surgery getting used to the dentures with very little pain (Advil and Tylenol take care of it). I have been able to eat some soft foods and smoothies. I am over the moon about the whole experience. Very happy with the outcome. I will recommend Spokane Oral Surgery to everyone I know.

Positive experience: Staff were friendly and efficient. However they sent my prescription to an entirely wrong location and pharmacy. Some confusion on how many teeth were being removed by a staff member but the doctor was 100% up to speed. All in all I highly recommended them. They really did give great care and instructions so I wasn’t as scared to go under for the procedure.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Spokane Oral Surgery for two surgeries now. The first time was to get my last wisdom tooth taken out and the second was for a bone graft on my jaw. For every visit I have gone to, the entire team has been so caring and accommodating. I was really nervous about the bone graft and everyone took such great care of me. From getting really good advice leading up to the procedure, to the considerate care during my surgery. Despite my own anxiety they really did everything to make sure things were as relaxing as possible. Dr. Hauck even talked me through a small panic attack over the phone on his day off. His kindness and calmness was very reassuring and helped me through my healing process. Spokane oral surgery has my trust and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have oral surgery.

Negative experience: I called Spokane Oral Surgery on 7/30/2025 at 10:30 AM after my son's orthodontist referred us for follow-up on chin trauma. When I tried to make an appointment, the woman on the phone refused to schedule us. She said their doctors don’t get paid as much from our insurance (state insurance) and pushed me to call the Sacred Heart oral surgeon who was on call the day of the injury instead. I left that call shaking and in tears. I’m just a parent trying to get my child the care he needs, and I’m sorry I can’t afford better insurance. We were referred here for a reason, and to be turned away like that was deeply upsetting and felt incredibly unfair. No family should be made to feel this way when seeking care for their child.

Positive experience: The initial visit seemed good! The only drawback were the extensive pages of questions one had to complete before scheduling. Some aren't able to access a computer to do this and when I tried to complete it at work on break, the pages kept timing out.

Fantastic experience: Flawless care for my son's wisdom removal. All of the staff are friendly, educated, and well trained. For sedation they have ACLS, conscious sedation certified, RN's. We were given the option for a non narcotic block that lasts for two days, for at home pain relief! Same day consultation and surgery, with appropriate medical history reviewed ahead of time. We were in and out in under two hours, safely!! Thank you for taking good care of my baby. As a 24 year ER nurse, I absolutely could tell he was in good hands. Sent home with a swag bag of healing supplies, we are set.

Fantastic experience: I entered the office to a very warm greeting and was not kept waiting but a few minutes. I was taken back to X-ray which was thorough and quick. Then on to a exam room where my medical history was gone over thoroughly and with warmth and comfort. The doctor then came in and was VERY knowledgeable about all the options that could be done for me. It was one of the best dentists visits I have ever had. ALL staff was very respectful and kind.

I was so scared as I’ve never had any form of surgery before and they went above and beyond to make sure I knew everything was going to be okay. Fantastic experience: Getting implants with bone graft and now gum graft. I was very scared to go with local injection and was so pleased with the time Dr Hauck took to inject the novacaine. Using some local anesthetic and letting it sit for a bit before injecting. He is compassionate and highly skilled, funny and engaging. The office staff is knowledgeable, compassionate and very good at working as a team. Office is clean, lots of hand washing and pts comfort is really important! Highly recommend Dr Hauck. He also teaches Advanced life support ( how to intubate and save a life if you have a bad reaction to anesthesia) to other oral surgeons and dentists. I know I am in competent hands in this office.

Fantastic experience: Had my wisdom teeth taken out, And my experience here was very good. initially I was very scared and I wanted to find a place that would treat me right, and make the experience more comfortable, and this is it. Every single person i’ve interacted with here are extremely nice. Especially the front desk, i’ve never experienced kindness to this degree at any facility before. Another important thing to note is they make sure you have all your post surgery supplies and if anything you can always call and ask for advice or help. ( in my experience I was able to talk to the doctor about my concerns post surgery and also received another syringe 2 weeks later after mine broke.) So if you are in need of getting any type of oral surgery I highly recommend this place. ( if considering- don’t make the mistake of going to sleeping dentistry like my sibling did. she had a terrible experience. which only makes me feel so much more grateful for mine.) The people here treat you with kindness and respect!! and that’s what everyone deserves! Thanks to them i had a good experience. And I hope anyone who reads this and decides on going here, does too!

Negative experience: This is the most disrespectful group I have ever dealt. So disorganized. Kept me waiting and over an hour for my surgery with no explanation. I was starving and freezing in the procedure room before he came in and spent another 15 min deciding if I needed a bone graft. After 3 sets of X-rays the day before he couldn’t figure that out before. They literally had to untie my wrist so could I could sign another consent. I don’t even know the price. My ride was super upset after being told it would be an he 10 min. And it was 2 1/2. Poorest service ever.

Fantastic experience: I took my 10 year old here on a referral from the orthodontics. She had a tooth on either top side of the gums that was almost completely sideways and causing root damage to her permenant teeth. This place rocked it! The initial consult, and the actual surgery (took place this morning) went very well. The oral surgereons immediately had a game plan, provided excellent pain and anxiety management, and were very compassionate. Even the older gentleman at the front desk this morning was incredible. I personally hate going to the dentists, much less making my kids go through oral surgery- but this place really kept it compassionate with top notch care.

Eli was AMAZING. i have a major phobia of the dentist but he made me feel so comfortable and like it was no big deal. he was super funny and sweet. they talked me through the whole procedure and eli was super flexible with me. would recommend! they also got me in when they didn’t think they’d be able to when i originally called. everything about this place wow’d me!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Fruen and his staff was above and beyond first class service. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and and with one of the teeth, Dr. Fruen told me it was the most difficult extraction of a root he has ever performed. The root served as a tunnel for the nerve. Since I never lost any feeling, that tells me he didn't damage the nerve. Later, I fractured my jaw. Not knowing why I had pain in my jaw, I went to the ER department of a local hospital and their images showed no fractures or cracks in my jaw. I made an appointment with Dr. Fruen, and he clearly saw a fracture in his images. He immediately wired my jaw shut, which sounded intimidating at the time, but was quite manageable. Dr. Fruen's nurse, Shelby, gave me recipes for my liquid diet and showed me techniques for taking certain meds and vitamins. During the next six weeks with each follow up appointment, Dr. Fruen reminded me of what to do and not to do to help the fracture heal. I am now wireless and doing great. I can't say enough to express my gratitude for Dr. Fruen, Shelby and the entire staff of SOS.
