They make sure I am comfortable, understand what is going around me and finances. I like Tish very much because I can understand her very clearly. She wants to make sure I understand.. I forgot the front desk name with red hair. She is great and being honest with me about finance plans . I would recommend them because they are good people. My deaf husband goes there too. He likes Nicole because she can communicate and can sign language with him. It is perfect for him. We have no complaints.

There was zero judgment, only professionalism and warmth. This was one of the best healthcare experiences I've ever had. Negative experience: Came in due to severe tooth pain. Let me say first the receptionist and dental assistant were both kind and tried to be helpful. Dentist came, poked around for a minute, and then just didn’t seem to care about my repeated complaints of severe pain as he sent me home with some ibuprofen. I suffered through the weekend before I was finally able to a visit a different dentist where I had to have emergency dental surgery to extract the cracked and infected tooth. The second dentist said “I can’t believe someone saw you Friday and just let you leave”. Just horrible. If you are reading this go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend this dental office. Everyone in the practice that I have encountered has been very pleasant. Dr. Gusbar has a great "chair side manner". He definitely takes the edge off of being at the dentist office. Megan his assistant is very personable. Which I like. She helps to take the edge off of waiting for Dr Gusbar. Negative experience: I was supposed to have a dentist appointment last Tuesday, December 2nd at 8:30 AM. Because of the weather, the office opened at 10:00 AM and my appointment was cancelled. However, no one followed up afterward to reschedule me. Last week, the office called about my husband’s upcoming appointment. Since my case is urgent, my husband switched his appointment date with me so I could be seen sooner. But when I arrived today, the hygienist who greeted me rolled her eyes at me, which left me shocked. She also assumed I was there for a cleaning even though I already had my cleaning last month. I explained that I was here to fix my tooth, not for a cleaning, and she then told me we needed to book my next cleaning instead. It was only then I realized that no one ever rescheduled my treatment appointment after the cancellation, and now I have to wait even longer to get my tooth fixed. I also want to mention a previous visit: when I came in to determine what was happening with this tooth, the receptionist came in for my signature for the X-ray. I felt rushed and pressured because I was still trying to decide whether I was getting the X-ray done that day. She spoke to me in a way that made me feel like I didn’t understand her, and it left me feeling terrible. This is especially disappointing because my husband and I have been patients at Afina Dental for over a decade from Eastgate to Cincinnati—and now even our child comes here. We’ve always been comfortable with this clinic, but lately I’m not so sure. The lack of communication and the way I’ve been treated sometimes makes me feel like I’m being treated differently, and I’ve experienced what feel like subtle microaggressions during my visits. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because I value respectful, consistent, and attentive care from a healthcare provider. I want to feel confident continuing my care here.

Negative experience: I went in because I lost a filling, and and there was zero pain. I just wanted to get a filling replacement. They tried to sell me on almost $6,000 of work for 2 crowns when all I needed was was a filling. I won't be going back to pay for all their expensive equipment.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience with this office. While the staff was very nice, I just went in for a regular cleaning and left with a huge bill, was told I had several cavities, and that my receding gums needed a (not covered) cleaning every 4 months. They took my money and then never called to schedule the fillings for my “cavities”. They also said they would not do one of the fillings until I did Invisalign(which I never said I was going to do). I would not recommend this place to anyone. They prey on the fear you may have about dental health and use fancy technology to get you to agree to unnecessary procedures.

Positive experience: Question everything! The hygienist will do an extra service you don't want. She is very pushy with services. I told her 3 x I only want services that insurance pays for. I ended up with a bill still. Not Happy.

Positive experience: Place of business was not bad or good. Upon scheduling, there was supposedly miscommunication, and I had to call twice to get it all cleared up and corrected in time for my appointment. Once in office, it was neat and clean for being on the end of the strip. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very helpful. The dental assistant, Maddie, was very personal, kind, and paid attention to my needs during x-rays. My dental hygienist, Amber, was very professional. She was gentle during examination and teeth cleaning, as I have a sensitive mouth due from trauma. Some things that were talked about I had denied service of or getting, and I felt a little pressure to get it still after. However, in the end, being in office was better than how it started over the phone.

Fantastic experience: Quick and painless extraction that was infected. No pain whatsoever. No surgery was needed so they reduced the price right there on the spot. I must recommend this place. Set me up with an appointment right away.

Negative experience: I went in for a cleaning and didn't see the Dentist, but was charged $100 when my insurance provides 4 free cleanings. Upon leaving he said it was coded that way because it was Periodontal Monitoring? Is it ok if I get a cleaning that my insurance covers? The Hygienist was great.

Negative experience: Very disappointed , waited 6 months to get my teeth cleaned , The dental hygienist Chelsea , took some pics with a new machine and said my gums are receding and she could not do a normal cleaning that I normally get every 6 months and had to get a deep cleaning every 3 months that would cost me out of pocket $700. A year just for the cleanings , seems like they are more interested in the loaning business than your teeth . I won’t be back and won’t recommend Dental Studio West to anyone !

Negative experience: If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went here years ago after a few years of not going to a dentist...due to fear of dentist... Well due to that, I needed to get 2 root canals done.. and some more cavities filled. It was THOUSANDS of dollars worth of work I needed done, So I had to open a care credit just to help pay for this. When I had my cavities filled, I chose to have them all filled at once and for them to knock me out with a pill. I of course had to pay for that before the day due to me being knocked out and THEY said it would be illegal for them to ask me for money.. Tell me why they MAGICALLY found another cavity in my mouth and took it upon themselves to fill it, then charge me after the fact... Who consented to that? Not me.... Then when I was switching dentist, I tried to ask for my records to be faxed to my new office (not even a year later) they told me they didn't have my records anymore...hmmmmm..... THEN most recently at my new dentist place... now mind you... I have been going here for a couple years... I have had ONE cavity... My now 2 previous root canals AFINIA did... WERE BOTH. NOT. DONE. PROPERLY. and I had to be referred to an endodontist where I now have to pay some more THOUSANDS of dollars for them to fix it!!!!!!!!! Because they are both infected! how it was explained to me is on your bottom teeth you have 2 canals I guess, and your top has 3... well they only killed 1 on BOTH my root canals on my bottom teeth leaving 1 in both of my teeth to I guess now get infected... So I do not recommend this place to anymore.

Fantastic experience: Staff is cohesive, prompt, accommodating, tech driven, excellent overall! This last session I got a crown an implant, 2 scripts for infection and pain. Pain (was/is slightly), WAY less than anticipated. Within a matter of hours 80% to 90% controlled :)

She listened to me with sincerity and was able to relay to Dr. Sauders my precise condition. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. absolutely love coming to this crew. 6-27-23: As a repeat patient, I continue to be pleasantly surprised at the overall atmosphere and willingness to make ME--the patient--happy and relaxed. I'm an older patient, which means I have dental fears from an early age,but have gotten completely over my 'fear of dentists'. I can attribute this to the staff at Affinia on Bridgetown Road. From the moment I was greeted by Michelle and Ashley to Chelsea to Kayla to Dr. Souders - they ALL were fantastic in their attitudes, camaraderie and ability to make me feel as part of their family. Yes, I enjoyed this visit, as the ones before and I look forward to future appointments. Wait - did I actually say I look forward to going to the dentist???.....

Negative experience: I had an emergency, office got me in. Then wanted $1300 to pull a tooth without insurance. Charged me $103 for visit & xray. I left of course & called around different offices and only paid $250 for everything! This dentist office is a ripoff, and not about the patient, it’s all about a corporation and making money. Even with insurance this office was more worried about everything wrong with the entire mouth then what the real problem was that I was there for! I will never be back nor refer anyone here.

Negative experience: This place is terrible! Don't use them. All they want is your money. They spend the whole time trying to run unnecessary test on your teeth/mouth that is not covered by insurance. By the time the dental hygienist got around to cleaning my teeth, it took her ten minutes and she never scrapped the tartar off my teeth. She did floss some of my teeth. By the time I left, they wanted to do over $3,000 worth of dental work. If I could give this place a negative rating I would.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go to if you haven't been to a dentist in a really long time and have financial concerns when it comes to getting your teeth worked on. This place doesn't judge nor try to get you to spend money you don't have. They provide you with options and cost and work on which option you want to go with without trying to sway your choice. The staff is friendly and understanding with any concerns you have and are willing to answer all of your questions. I look forward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I went to Afinia- Bridgetown for the first time the other day and I was extremely nervous to go. I thought about canceling several times because I haven’t been in about 3 years. The staff there was so great! They were very personable, compassionate, and understanding. They explained everything they were doing before they did it and checked several times with me to make sure I was doing ok. If it asked a question, they were very knowledgeable about it. The hygienist, Brittany, and Dr. Gusbar were great. While I am still nervous about the dentist, my anxiety has definitely been eased a bit.

Negative experience: I was a patient for years. I truly enjoyed and appreciated my dental experience with the Affinia dental family in Anderson. A lot has changed over time. My favorite two dentists stopped doing the work. One left the practice and the other started teaching only. I moved to the west side of town and decided to give Affinia Bridgetown a try. My daughter enjoyed her experience. I did not. I visited the office. I needed some dental work done and I was not satisfied with the work. I wrote a review and posted it. The dental office called me the next day‍♀️. They clearly didn't appreciate the review that I left. They asked me come back in to the office and make things right. I agreed to return. Craziness was my experience when I returned. First, EVERYONE in the office gave me dirty looks. That should have been my fist red flag to LEAVE. Next, one staff member hugged me and was overly acting concerned and happy to fix the problem. Next, They asked me to CHANGE /DELETE MY REVIEW..... ‍♀️‍♀️who does that. At any rate, I agreed and did so. I regret changing my review. My dentist made me an appointment for a gum cleaning. Regret. Regret. The female that performed my cleaning was the same girl that rolled her eyes at me when I initially came back to the office after I wrote my review. I didn't realize this until I was in the chair. She was SERIOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL. She took advantage of me while cleaning my gums. She dug dip into my gums. I screamed. I almost jumped out of the chair. She replied, "Ms. Dailey you really have to clean under your gums. Dig deep with your tooth brush while brushing. "I was in sooooo much pain during the ENTIRE PROCESS. When she was finished. I went to the front desk to check out. I caught the eye attention that she gave to others in the office. As if she was saying, yeah I sure got her back for that review. I NEVER RETURNED. I had a friend ask me about a dentists to recommend. I told her about my experience her. She asked me if I shared this experience on this platform. I told her that I couldn't remember. I simply couldn't remember. I know that this experience changed the way that I view people who have my body in their hands. In addition, people should be allowed to speak their peace and be honest about their experiences on this platform and not be pressured to change a review for the sack of STARS.... 1 or 5. Simply leave a review and allow others to either visit the office or NOT. I have found a new dentist that I am happy with and feel safe. Tears. I pray that no one ever has this experience. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I haven't been to a dentist in a long time and have had quite a few poor experiences over the last few years that put us off from even wanting to try to get help. We reached a point where he was on a lot of pain and we needed to do something, I called at least 10-15 dentists and afinia was the only one willing to see a new patient in less than 6 months. From the moment we showed up, everyone here has been absolutely amazing. At no point did we ever feel judged or shamed for the current condition of our oral health. Everyone was so friendly and it was very obvious how much they care about their patients. My husband was evaluated and had the teeth hurting him taken care of within 24 hours of us showing up. That experience was so great we went ahead and booked to get full evaluations and get our dental health back in order. Not only was it the easiest appointment I've ever scheduled, they even had an opportunity to see me sooner than scheduled and I was able to get an evaluation, plan of action, and the work they recommended being done on in less than 2 weeks. This was my first time ever having a filling done and Dr. Gusbar was very compassionate and knowledgeable about explaining the whole process to ensure I was comfortable the entire time. I also worked with Amber for my evaluation and deep cleaning and she was absolutely amazing! Everyone here is so friendly and compassionate, I will never go to another dentist.
