Positive experience: The service is good. Price is standard. But they change plans and aim for the most expensive treatment first, because "is the best for thr patient" when is truly the easiest for the dentist and brings more money faster. Be aware about this.

Fantastic experience: Dr Escobar is a class act. Acurate, fast and gentle. Also she speaks different languages. Other the English, she can speak Colombian Spanish, Puerto Rican Spanish, Venezuelan Spanish, etc.

Service from this provider remains above and beyond. I highly recommend Nona Place Dental. Dr. Escobar is as fine a Dentist as you can find. I have had a very checkered dental history and Dr Escobar handles all my issues seamlessly. Now 4 years. Still very pleased. Great team of people providing dental care. Negative experience: The worst experience ever. At the last minute they called me that I needed to come earlier. First, the hygienist wanted me to pay 40 dollars for fluoride; I said no, and she got frustrated and keep insisting nonstop. I had to tell her more than 5 times No. My routine cleaning was done in less than 15 minutes. It was clear she was in a hurry to finish with me. What a horrible experience. I will never comeback to this place and I dont recommended to anyone.

Negative experience: I ended up paying over $400 and then received another unexpected bill because they said my insurance doesn’t cover the only type of filling they offer.My insurance told me the claim could be fixed if the office would email them, but despite emailing the office over five times, I have received zero response except for more billing emails. The procedure was painful, my mouth was held open for over an hour, and I left feeling like they only care about money. I paid for half the work and they’re still trying to charge me more. I will not be returning. They still call me to come back and do my other side but they don’t call to ever fix my problem.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: As a long-time patient here, I just have to say — reading some of these negative reviews makes me shake my head. This office runs on professionalism, respect, and quality care, and I’ve seen firsthand how they go above and beyond. But here’s the thing — if you are the type of person that wants to come in trying to dictate your own treatment, only want what insurance covers, or think you know more than the doctor and other providers without even listening to their diagnosis… spoiler alert : THAT'S NOT HOW HEALTHCARE WORKS. Also, being upset because you weren’t seen five minutes after walking in late? Or expecting them to bump another patient who showed up on time? That’s not fair to anyone. Quality care takes time, and they refuse to rush and compromise it — which is exactly what I want as a patient. I’ve also noticed people complaining about 'extras' or 'upselling' — but most of that is preventive care. It’s your choice to decline, but don’t call it shady just because you only want what insurance will cover. Insurance doesn’t determine what’s best for your health. And about turnover — people have lives, families, and careers. Sometimes they move, sometimes they grow into other roles. It doesn’t mean the office is unstable, it just means people are human. Lastly, if you refuse proper diagnostics like X-rays or expect them to be free just because you got them somewhere else on a different day or God forbid your insurance doesn't cover them… that’s not the office’s fault. There is something called 'STANDARD OF CARE", and a professional can’t diagnose without them, and they shouldn’t have to work for free because you’re 'shopping around.' From one patient to another —this is the place to go if you want good care, respect the team’s time, trust their expertise, and treat them how you’d want to be treated. This office deserves way more credit than some of these reviews give them. Dr Jenn Escobar and her team are the best! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: My review is a bit late, but I had a disappointing experience. I came in expecting a simple cleaning, but was hit with a surprise bill of around $200+ and a list of add-on things I wasn't interested in. I wasn’t told the cost upfront before being put into a panoramic X-ray, and then they said they might not even get to the cleaning that day and could only do an exam. I had booked the appointment a while ago, providing my insurance member ID number and I had waited for 30 minutes in the waiting room, so there was definitely time to give me information for costs. I chose to leave after the X-ray, and after reading other reviews, it seems others have had similar experiences. If you decide to go here, make sure to confirm what to expect and how much it will cost. It felt like the focus was more on upselling services than addressing the reason I came in, so I'd be careful. I’ll be finding a dentist elsewhere. Add on: addressing the other reviewer who noted that they always have a clipboard showing costs. That clipboard came for me after having already done the Panorama X-ray.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental facility that I have ever been to I actually look forward to my visits and I take cupcakes to them to enjoy and they enjoy my treats

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this office. I called to confirm my son’s appointment but was delayed due to traffic in Narcoossee. Despite being only four minutes late, our appointment was canceled, even though I had called to confirm. A few days later, I responded to a text confirming my daughter’s appointment, but the next morning, when I called to reconfirm, I was told her appointment had been given away because my response was outside business hours. When I spoke to the office manager about these issues, I felt my concerns were dismissed. Additionally, during my daughter’s previous visit, she sustained an injury when a dental instrument scratched her cheek. Considering these experiences, I regret making a return appointment.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Nona Place Dental are LOVELY. I’m surprised at reading another review where someone complained about not knowing before a procedure about the charges. The staff is always showing you a clipboard with the listing of the charges. Granted, it’s pricey! But that’s partly because of my insurance. I am impressed with the high tech gadgets they have for working on teeth. Much more sophisticated than my former dentist in Ohio. So far, the results in my teeth repairs have been excellent. (Maybe prices are higher because of the sophisticated equipment?) Anyway, yes, go to them!

Negative experience: I was not very happy with the service I received. The pricing was not explained to me beforehand, which I believe should be standard practice—especially before any procedures, tests, or exams are performed. After the X-rays and examination, I was informed that I needed a deeper cleaning and would have to come back for another appointment. This was not made clear at the beginning of the visit, and I felt unprepared for the costs and next steps. Overall, the experience left me feeling like the focus was more on money than on patient care. I hope this feedback can be used to improve transparency and communication for future patients.

Fantastic experience: I went to establish care since I am new to the area. I must say that from my first call I was impressed. The receptionist Karen was so pleasant and I could feel her smile and genuine nature through the phone. Setting up an appointment was quick and easy with lots of appointment times available. The office was clean with good hygienic practices The friendly staff lived up to the expectation. My dental Hygienist Yahaida was very through. She was warm and very pleasant. I was very satisfied with the work done to getting me back on track to clean healthy teeth. My dentist Dr. Escobar was very friendly and professional. Now I've been with the group for 5 years, excellence continues with impressive Dr Chon. During my May 2025 visit I've met Dr Escobar, who is professional and as impressive as DR Chon!

Positive experience: The cleaning was fine. I think she cleans very vigorously near my crowns. There is upsell with sealant and fluoride which is annoying. This time there were billing issues. They wanted me to pay what my insurance said was not my responsibility.

Negative experience: Dishonest and Deceitful – Avoid at All Costs! This office is a complete scam. I called multiple times and even confirmed in person before my appointment that they accepted my insurance. They lied. Weeks later, I got a huge bill because they don’t take my insurance at all. To make matters worse, they offered to treat my 9-year-old daughter, did absolutely nothing, and still tried to charge me! Now they’ve sent me to debt collectors instead of fixing their mistake. Do not trust this office—they will lie to you, overcharge you, and leave you in debt. Stay far away!

Negative experience: I feel scammed. Made a new patient appt. First time went for X-rays. They didn’t have time for cleaning. Returned for a cleaning and the hygienist didn’t even brush my teeth. She said i have to return in 4 weeks for the second part of a two part cleaning. Bogus. Never heard of this nonsense. I take very good care of my teeth and they’re out here trying to make money.

Negative experience: I recently visited this dental office as a new patient, referred by a family member, expecting a routine cleaning covered by my insurance. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing. After almost two hours spent on X-rays and an exam, I was told they would not provide the cleaning unless I paid over $400 out-of-pocket for an antibiotic treatment I did not want or need. I made it clear I only wanted the cleaning covered by my insurance, but they refused to move forward unless I agreed to the extra, uncovered treatment. I left without the cleaning and felt like my time was completely wasted. It’s disheartening that they’ll still collect from my insurance for the initial X-rays and exam without delivering the basic care I came in for. I was ready to be a long-term patient, committed to regular cleanings, but this experience left me feeling more like a revenue source than a valued patient. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone looking for straightforward, patient-centered care.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding customer service, all staff was super cordial, they were punctual, explained everything prior to doing it, and they had bilingual staff. They followed all CDC guidelines in regards to COVID to avoid any exposure. Most importantly, they ALWAYS make me feel like home. Both doctors are great, but Dr. Escobar is my absolute favorite, my son now loves coming to the dentist because of her. Recomendado 100%. Also, the office staff is always cheerful, it can't get better than that!

Negative experience: BEWARE! Lake Nona Dental Care is very dishonest. They said my wife had three cavities. When she went to my dentist I have been seeing for 10+ years, magically she had no cavities. They are crooks.

Positive experience: Not a very pleasant experience. Taking x-ray was very unpleasant because it hurt the jaw. While drilling water was running down my neck, felt like grit was left on my tooth it is still rough. Even though my insurance is on their list it did not cover the over priced

Fantastic experience: Found our forever Dentist. We moved from Colorado and tried 2 different dentist in Hunters Creek the area we live in. Doctor Escobar is amazing! She’s patient nice, kind and friendly. Our Dental Hygienist Suleica is awesome she’s so knowledgeable and very thorough. The office is clean organized !! The rest of the team is awesome as well. Thank you ladies for having such great customer service as well.

Negative experience: Watch for the "crown warranty". Had a situation, in which the crown fell off 2 years after it was cemented. They decided to charge again to examine the area and to re-cement the crown. By the way their contract doesn't mentioned that a charge will apply if the crown gets re-cemented, also unnecessary x-rays were taken to pump up the bill. Administration said that it was the Dentist Es. criteria (Dentitst can make up any criteria they want just to extra money charge) that charges have to be applied because 2 years had passed, before any attention was taken to honor the non-existence warranty. They just talked about the bill first without even taking a look at what happened to that crown piece. Also under the crown area cavities were found (most likely crown not cemented very well), which means a work not done professionally and a similar scenario happened in the past with another tooth. This place is money first then attention to the patient, not the best in the area. Just beware of their predatory practices. Plenty of places to choose besides this one in the Lake Nona area.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jennifer Escbar and her staff are the greatest. They made me feel great knowing that I am a baby about needles.

Positive experience: For the most part everything is ok there. The one thing I found that was not ok, telling me I have a “copay” when it wasn’t actually a “copay” you can opt out of each payment they are charging you for. One being the oral screening for cancer and second being the fluoride treatment. They do not explain the charges to you unless you ask. They were expecting me to sign and call it a day and pay the bill.

Negative experience: Dr Anne Chon was very disrespectful and rude, I had a 3:00 appointment and she came to see me 3:50 I took the time off from work without pay so I can waste it at her office. She’s very disrespectful of the patient time. I heard her chatting with the previous patient about her maternity and her bra and breastfeeding etc..while I was waiting for her

Fantastic experience: Dr Chon is an excellent dentist. Very knowledgeable and caring. Had a crown added and my night guard replaced. She provided noise canceling headsets so I listened to the sound of waves during the procedure. Really like her and her team.

Negative experience: Deceptive, price gouging tactics. Refused to release medical records to me. Despite the multiple releases they had me sign as a new patient. They were super friendly until I mentioned I was getting a second opinion, and then they began refusing to assist me, saying i needed to fill out another form in addition to the ones I had already completed for me to have my own medical records.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chon and the staff at Nona Place Dental are simply phenomenal. I originally used to live in Lake Nona however I purchased a home in Winter Park and refused to switch to a new dental office. As someone that has SEVERE anxiety when it comes to going to the Dentist, all of the staff took amazing care to me and made sure I was always comfortable. I severely chipped my front tooth from an injury and also was well overdue for numerous fillings. I spoke with the patient care/coordinator team and expressed my concerns and requested one long appointment to get everything done at once as I was so nervous I was going to request the nitrous gas. Upon arrival at the office I was shown back to the room I would be in and Skyler was my dental assistant who from the beginning was super kind and listened to my concerns with my anxiety. Dr. Chon came in to do an initial assessment before getting to work and from the moment she entered the room she simply has a smile and kindness to her that lights up a room. She listened attentively to me and my concerns with my anxiety with the procedures and assured me my comfort was her priority. I felt so much more comfortable after speaking with her that I went ahead without the nitrous gas! It was hours of work due to the extensive work I needed on my mouth but the two of them got the job done and I was comfortable the entire time. I truly think after today Dr. Chon has helped ease my dental anxiety and I have a renewed excitement in taking care of my teeth and regular dental checkups. Negative experience: You know, I really liked coming here, friendly, quick and have great technology. However, I get a new bill every couple of months, without explanation and with paying my co-pay AND insurance paying as well. All invoices seem made up, they come with no information on why (even though I only go for my 6months cleaning) I have a new bill. It makes no sense, VERY unclear on why there are random additional bills every so often when all I get is cleanings. STAY AWAY.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely happy and satisfied with the Dental work done at Nona Place Dental Care! I felt very comfortable and confident with the procedure being done and how they took care of me. I didn’t feel any discomfort and all went well. Fantastic experience: I had two crowns removed and replaced. The new crowns came in early and I was able to get an earlier appointment. Crowns fit perfectly. Very minimal discomfort when old crowns removed. I trust the dentists at this location.

Negative experience: AS you ignore my previous review, just adding that you will take a further look with absolute no consequences, here I am writing again... I will do it until you explicit respond to my complain. This is ALexandre Souza. I went to this dentist for an informal 2nd opinion if I would need a crown. I was specifically told but the attendant that there should be no charge or very small one for this second opinion. Arter 5-8minutes in the dentist office and no news, I was presented with a bill of USD 122. I tried to argue with the finance supervisor with no sucess, I called there many times and email with no response. This place is a scam business. Be aware. Dont go.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience today at Nona Place Dental, and I look forward to my next appointment! I went in for routine cleaning and an estimate on ortho care. The staff was absolutely fantastic, the facilities are very well maintained, they laid out all of my options and I had all of my questions and concerns answered. I couldn't ask for a better first impression. 10/10 recommended!
