Negative experience: I want to share honest feedback about my recent visit, because my experience did not match the expectations your office set before I arrived. From the initial phone call through the reminder texts, your office gave the impression that patient care and listening were a priority. Unfortunately, once I was there, I felt like just another number moving through a system rather than a patient being heard. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly stated that my reason for coming in was concern about my gum health and bleeding gums. I repeated this again when I arrived and spoke with the dental assistant. Despite that, the visit felt rushed and impersonal. The dentist spoke very little to me, and the focus immediately shifted to crowns and future restorative work without addressing my primary concern. It wasn’t until I specifically said, “If my teeth aren’t hurting, I’d rather address my bleeding gums first,” that I was told I needed to be on the other side of the office to see a hygienist. This was frustrating, because if my reason for the visit had been acknowledged from the beginning, that’s where I should have been sent in the first place. I do want to make it clear that the hygienist was wonderful. She was the first person during the visit who made me feel like an actual patient instead of an inconvenience. The contrast was noticeable. After that, when pricing and treatment plans were discussed, the focus again shifted back to everything except my gums. I had to repeat that while I understand crowns may eventually be needed, my immediate concern is my gum health. That should not have required multiple clarifications. I’m sharing this because I believe patient concerns should guide the visit, not be overridden by a standard process. I came in for gum health, and I should have been treated accordingly from the start. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it’s taken as an opportunity to improve patient experience, especially for those coming in with specific concerns

Fantastic experience: Dr. Harris was my dentist for fixing an old crown that cracked. He was awesome. Never felt any pain or discomfort and they did everything to insure I was comfortable.

Negative experience: I have had nothing but bad experiences going there, from the receptionist to the assistants and the office manager. I had a partial made and almost 3 weeks later it broke, I was told it was going to take 3 weeks for it to be fixed after waiting for 2 weeks to come in. When it did come in they called me on Friday to make an appointment to come in but told me that I couldn’t come in until Monday. When missing a front tooth and waiting weeks for it to be fixed, waiting over the weekend is not what you want to hear especially since it’s because they are having a staff meeting. The only great experience I had was with the dentist himself. Too bad the staff isn’t as welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Was able to get an appointment really quick. Front office and staff were all on point as far as making me feel comfortable. The Dentist and assistant explained everything that needed to be done. Extracted 2 back teeth. Only slight pressure. Having no pain. Didn’t even have to take Tylenol.

Fantastic experience: The cleaning was done by a fantastic hygienist who used a water pic and I barely felt a thing. They were so very nice and quick! I had had to reschedule my first appointment due to a cold and they were accommodating and helpful. Great place and the dentist who saw me told me I was the picture of health!

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. David to fix a chip on the front of my veneers. A dental hygienist friend had told me it probably couldn’t be repaired and that I’d need everything replaced. But Dr. David repaired the chip so perfectly that you’d never even know it was there! He saved me from an $2000 replacement with a quick $100 repair. I’m incredibly grateful — thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was having wisdom tooth pain so I was searching for a dentist and I called Curtis Roy’s office and they had availability the same day for me to come in. All the staff was very nice and they even offered to pull my tooth the same day. I scheduled it for the following day and the whole procedure was quick and painless. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I had around 7 or so appointments here, all of which felt unorganised and busy. Kept me waiting in the room to be soon for nearly an hour more than once. Once I was seen, I felt like the procedures were always rushed and half-done-- and yet-- I never left the office in under 2.5 hours. Every appointment I re-explained my dental anxiety (not scared of dentists, I am just a hypochondriac), and I was never taken seriously. I once had concerns about teeth grinding and the sensitivity I was having because of it, when I told the Dr. that I was in pain and wanted to try a mouth guard, I was told (and I cannot make this shit up) to try yoga...Had a root canal done here which I regret. Not only was it painful (Not even sure how since half of my face was numb and I was on laughing gas?? I was in tears.. while on laughing gas???) but after the root canal I had problems with the temp crown, had to come back, same with the permanent crown that I have now, which even after fixing is... not right. Feels like a lego in my mouth. My gums are discoloured and receding around it, and its only two years old, while my 12 year old permanent crown that I got in B.F.E. has given me none of these problems. The last straw was when I returned for a cleaning. I was told I needed a *special* cleaning (SRP) that was not covered by my insurance (my insurance denied because I didn't meet the diagnostic criteria, not because my plan didnt cover it) I am NOT the poster child for perfect teeth... clearly.. BUT I felt like the diagnosis was extreme. When I asked for the normal cleaning, I was told they would not see me until I had the over $2000 cleaning. I got a second opinion, and I of course did not have periodontal disease. I barely met the criteria for gingivitis. Makes me wonder if any of the other procedures I had done here were even necessary. If you are questioning a procedure they recommended, ESPECIALLY something permanent like a root canal, or expensive like SRP , get. a. second. opinion. unless your teef real crazy I guess.

Negative experience: I pulled up and someone was out back smoking. I get inside and it's the prep person. She reeked of cigarettes. I cant stand that smell. The dentist came in and was not careful at all even though I explained I had a toothache, pointed out the tooth, and my entire jaw was hurting. Accidentally getting a hurting tooth bumped with a dental instrument is not ideal. I found it to be a rough experience. 10/10 would not recommend.

Dr. Harris is one of a kind with great bedside manners and will make you feel very comfortable. Sydney is an amazing hygienist and very gentle. She is very sweet and values her patients. I miss being their patient but very happy to see and read the great reviews about them. I promise you are in great care with them both.

Negative experience: I would love to give this place 0 stars but, it’s not an option. Cassie a dental assistant was rude and disrespectful loud enough for me to hear her outside of my room. Lacks professionalism and common sense. If you wanna talk about me at-least close the door dummy. 10 out of 10 don’t recommend. Go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Years ago, I had extensive work done to my mouth and Dr. Chambers and staff made my experience comfortable. The customer service was exceptional. I recently had an appointment with another dentist and his bed side manner was insensitive and it felt like just another transaction in the day of a busy dentist office. I left disappointed. The appointment was for 9, the dentist came in at 10 for a total of five minutes

Negative experience: Would not recommend. Called prior to appointment to explain procedure I would need completed and asked to be given a price. The price offered over the phone differed heavily from the price provided in person. Front office staff were both kind and professional, but the dental assistant that aided in taking my X-rays was very unprofessional. Loudly discussed my reason for being there in a disrespectful manner with fellow dental assistants. I would not recommend receiving services through this facility.

Negative experience: The dentists and staff are excellent, as they always have been. However, recently you have chosen not to be in network with my insurance blue cross blue shield of Tennessee. I have been a long time loyal customer but due to that reason my last visit will be the fillings you recommended. I spoke with the insurance provider and they explained this was a choice by your company. If you get in network I would love to keep visiting. Let me know.

Fantastic experience: I am so scared of dentist. Due to my fears, I neglected scheduling an appointment for a few years after my dentist retired. I went into the office terrified and left feeling so well taken care of. I need a procedure that was completed in two sessions. The dental hygienist (name began with an S) was so patient with me. She explained each step, gave me space to take breaks, talked to me to calm my anxiety and even got me a blanket to help with the jitters from the local anesthesia. I would give Dr. Curtis and associates 10 stars if possible.

Fantastic experience: I walked in here nervous as hell. I don’t have dental insurance and I get scared of the dentist… As soon as I was called to the back; they made me feel so comfortable. Gave me some options on what i needed to do when it came to my bad broken tooth. Took me straight to the back when I agreed on a root canal and did wonders! Dr Harris was amazing and hilarious we need more dentists like him and the staff was amazing as well!!!!

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist. Anxiety makes me cry and that irritates some people. The entire staff, from the receptionist to the hygienist (and especially the kind-heated assistant who seriously deserves a raise) to the soft-spoken and understanding dentist treated me with kindness, understanding, and respect. They listened to the things that I said and prepared a plan to get my smile back on track. So yes, I'm terrified of the dentist, but I'm not as scared to go back.

Fantastic experience: I had Shannon do a deep cleaning today and she was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Extremely through and took her time to explain the procedure. This lady is a tremendous asset to Dr. Curtis Roy's practice.

Negative experience: I’ve been going to them for a couple of years because my insurance *was* in network, but I went recently for what was suppose to be a free teeth cleaning and nobody bothered to inform me that my insurance is no longer in network with them, so now I’m stuck with a $100+ bill. I don’t believe they just didn’t know, it seems they just didn’t care to let me know. How am I supposed to just randomly know that? Especially considering I went 6 months prior and everything was fine then. Never got a call or letter stating otherwise. The staff is nice and all, but it’s safe to say I will NOT be coming back in the future, even if I end up having insurance in network again.
