He is highly knowledgeable, caring and recommends appropriate procedures. He treated my 94 and 95 year old parents with extreme caring and gentle handling. I recommend him to patients of any age.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the most professional, yet warm and friendly, dental office I've experienced and I've had a lot of experience in the dental chair. Dr. Smith and his staff are the greatest. I recently got two front crowns replaced and they look amazing. There was literally no pain and they were extremely careful to meet all my needs. My wife and I travel from Carrollton to Newnan to receive our dental care here at Southern Rivers. The drive is worth it. Trust me.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Newnan from N. Atlanta 11 years ago and I switched my Buckhead dentist ( been going for 20 yrs) because of traffic time, parking fees, etc and tried Dr. Smith since my fiance goes there and said to give him a try. It's a very professional office, everyone is friendly, they play good background music and I had a great first time experience. BTW: I went in 5-21-26 for a Xray and tooth cleaning since I was a new patient and Bree was the best! I also really like Dr. Smith.

So the assistant put temporary glue on it until my appointment the next week. Very happy with the dentist and the good people that work there

Fantastic experience: Every visit I have ever made to Southern Rivers Dental has always had a good experience. The front desk staff are professional but always friendly. My appointments are on time or close to on time. I am reminded days before about my appointment. I love that I can have a discount on the dental services because I pay cash or with a check. I don’t have dental insurance so that discount helps. Dr. Charles Smith is a big reason why I have stayed with this dental office. Dr. Charles Smith saved my cap on the tooth without having to remove it to do a root canal. My tooth sensitivity went away when he tweaked my dental cap. The Dental hygienist was not rough with my cleaning. Thankfully, I can request to have my chart flagged to request appointments with Dr. Charles Smith and Brie without having the office book me as next available appointments with other doctors or hygienists. Southern Rivers Dental will be the dental office I will refer to my friends and family, especially if there is a dental emergency!!!!

Fantastic experience: Not only the kindest most genuine staff you’ll ever meet, but they actually care for you as a person and not the $$$. I got a second opinion appointment after going to Amazing Smiles (on the same road). AS was trying to charge me for $2k worth of work- only to find out it’s NOT necessary. They told me that I had decaying teeth and cavities that I didn’t actually have. But the staff at Southern Rivers was so kind, progressive, gentle, and took me in as one of their own. I’m so happy I made the change to this dentist.

They made me feel calm and welcomed from the moment I walked through the door all the way until I left. From the ladies at the front desk to the rest of the staff who assisted me, they were all incredibly sweet and personable. The doctor is incredibly thorough and listens to your concerns unlike others and takes his time with the exam. Bonus points for being personally owned instead of a corporation!

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted, and this dentist was great. I was a new patient with a tooth ache. After I called 3 other dentist, I got one appointment but after reading their reviews, I cancelled. Then I made an appointment here for two days after I called. They said they would try to get me in earlier, and they actually did, for the same day I called. Dr Osborne, patiently explained my choices, the cost, and the entire process. I choose an implant. The next morning I had a second appointment and removed the bad tooth. Payment was actually a little less than estimate. Then she called the the following day just to check on me. The entire staff was awesome, from the first call on. I only waited in waiting room for about 5 minuets both times. Hygienist and Dentist were obviously well experienced and coordinated every move together. I wish I know each persons name, just to say Office staff was just as professional and courteous. You got to try them when you need a dentist. I will be back on a regular basis.
