Fantastic experience: Dr.Barnard Is The Absolute Best He’s So Kind & Attentive!!!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient for several years had no complaints up until my recent visit on 1/27/2026. Dr. Peña and the X-Ray technician was very professional and attentive; both of their customer service skills were spot on. HOWEVER, their colleague Ms. Freda showed poor customer service skills, acting as if she was in a rush, giving excuses as to why it took her forever to come to my room, expressing that she doesn’t have time to clean my teeth because she has someone scheduled at 12:30pm. I told her…. it’s 10:20am (more than enough time in my opinion). Her response was that I only scheduled for an exam and I “should have” did this and she don’t have the time to do this and the other. Ms. Freda treated me as if my needs wasn’t her priority, in fact she had the nerve to ask if I could come back tomorrow at 12:30pm. Mind you I was on time for my appointment at 9:30am, I received my x-rays and oral exam with no issue or delay. Dr. Peña assigned Ms.Freda the order to clean my teeth, which was overdue. Needless to say, I wasn’t valued as a customer and I didn’t receive the all services I needed on the day of my appointment all because the office employee felt she had better things to do than do her assigned task. If you assigned Ms. Freda, ask for someone else, she treat her patient as if you are wasting her time.

Fantastic experience: We love coming here! Dr Manny and Dr. Maria our dental hygenist are the best! I am sure the others are too but we can only speak for the ones we have seen. The staff are very friendly too and they are very clean. We highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My initial visit was with Dr. Michael Bernard he was very clear, precise, informative and educated me on my concerns and needs! The estimate for the dental work here is much more reasonable than other estimates I received. Dr. Bernard is very professional! On my second visit which was for a cleaning…Maria the hygienist was amazing! She didn’t rush through the cleaning she took her time and my teeth felt squeaky clean! The front desk receptionist was cordial and made sure I was seen in a timely manner i received good customer service today! Martha & Freda are always so caring!

Positive experience: I’m very disappointed with the service. I had a partial denture made in the office over two years ago that hasn’t been worn just sitting in a drawer at home because it just doesn’t fit. I’ve been to the office twice after I got it to have it adjusted but it still didn’t work. Recently, I decided to try again to get it adjusted and I was told I needed to pay for the adjustment for a job that was never done right from the start. Shame! Shame! Shame!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here almost 20 years and love the staff and doctors. Everyone from the front desk to the business manager (yay, Freda!) to hygienist Ms. Rodriguez to Drs. Barnard, Pena and Z. I have gotten bridgework, fillings, cleanings, extractions with them and they are great and very caring. They always fit me in if I have an emergency. And Freda handles the insurance claims like she works just for you, making sure everything goes smoothly and being awesome about explaining everything.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this office every 6 months for 3 years now. The doctors, hygienists, and assistants are kind. It's quite an impressive operation! They're honest and don't try to overcomplicate any issues. That seems quite rare. I've never had any major procedures needed or done here, so I can't address anything beyond a regular exam, x-rays and cleaning. Dr. Barnard should bottle and market his formula, because it makes for a stress-free experience.

Fantastic experience: Well my name is Glenn Davis, and I have been afraid of the dentist, all of my life At one point I would opt to get surgery rather than go to the dentist, but after my first trip to michael barnard office, I am no longer scared of the dentist.I have been there probably a dozen times and still have some work to be done.And it's the most pleasurable experience that i've ever had at a dentist's office. Negative experience: They charged me once.I had to pay out of pocket and they charged to my insurance too. I complained to the manager and they sent a check to my house.The second time I went just for a cleaning and they charged me for periapical X-rays” (o periapical radiographs) for no reason.I didn't have any problems with my molars or teeth, it was just a cleaning.I complained to the manager again and she said she would call me back with an answer, but she never called.They just want money.I'll never go back to that clinic.

Fantastic experience: Hello Google Family, I would like to take the time to share with you my most recent wonderful experience with the practicing DDS, PA Michael Barnard. It never ceases to amaze me how the mannerism of staff never waivers, which is unlike in most practices today. This office is a rare gem. Each visit is always the same. From the time you enter the building, it’s a very welcoming feeling. I can’t recall where I’ve had a bad experience of unprofessionalism nor unsatisfied dental treatment. The caring begins the moment you schedule your appointment. Follow up calls and texts are executed confirming appt. Staff and dental hygienist are the BOMB . Dental hygienist are ALL top class. It’s very hard to determine your favorite . Each excel at their job, knowledgeable, and take the time to inform the patient of the service being rendered. All you have to do is simply lay back and relax, you’re in good hand like All STATE . The cleaning is gentle and thorough. Here’s the twister everyone smiles there genuinely. Now last but not least, it’s Dr. B himself. Besides loving his professional (like no other), he loves hard on people. Years of serving the community. To “Us” he’s a professional of integrity, loyal, trustworthy. Solid he is! I stayed away for about couple years at no fault of staff nor Dr B. Can I tell you, the worst mistake of my life. We all know life is a learning lesson. I’m back and more than happy to be. My most recent visit on Friday Nov 7th, scored a 10, which isn’t surprising, like the previous appointments. Let me add, my children and grands attend the practice. That alone speaks volumes. That said, if you’re seeking a dental home, this certainly is the practice. Thank me later.

Fantastic experience: I love this establishment and when I say establishment I mean they are established by what they do for their patrons. I love Dr. Bernard because truly he is a man of God that deals with his patrons on a personal level he has no respect of person and he shows his love by delivering the best services possible. Negative experience: Horrible customer service lady named Fryda yelling around the office so rude to the employees waited a while to ask a simple question question about a bill I felt horribly for the employees everyone was welcoming and professional but this fryda needs to do better I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and never had an issue but this lady is bad for business something needs to change

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr Amandas yesterday. Dr Amanda sat and told me in detail everything that was going on with my tooth and it was a second opinion. Even though the news was not excellent, my experience with the doctor and staff was excellent. I left the office very happy with the plan that Dr Amanda recommended. Dr Amanda and the wonderful women that did my X-rays were incredibly patient with me. As I have never had any challenges with my teeth and was very nervous. I let my family know when I arrive home about how awesome the visit was and we are all now switching permanently to this office for our dental care.

Negative experience: I inquired about making an appointment for my Loved One and let the office know that they have Dementia. They gave me the appointment after the heads up. Doctor Nicole Pena had absolutely no patience or bedside manner and made a condescending comment because the patient wasn’t understanding how to comply. So I ended the visit immediately. No need for that, especially from a doctor.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Dr. Barnard’s Dental Practice for a while and have always appreciated the quality of care from the dental team. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a front desk representative I am not familiar with, Freyda, left a lot to be desired. Freyda came across as dismissive and impatient. When I had a simple question about my insurance coverage, her response was curt and unhelpful, almost as if I was inconveniencing her by asking. Overall, she made the check-in process feel rushed and uncomfortable. Front desk staff are the first point of contact and often set the tone for the whole visit. In this case, Freyda’s lack of professionalism and courtesy was disappointing and did not reflect the high standards I’ve come to expect from Dr. Barnard’s practice. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as a more welcoming and respectful approach at the front desk would make a world of difference.

Negative experience: Did not have a pleasant experience when I was informed upon checking in that I had a balance from 2 years ago which I was never made aware of and I was there 6 months prior for a check-up. Also the dental assistant barely spoke English so there was a communication barrier.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mike. On my recent visit to your dental clinic I had an excellent experience with Maria who took the X-rays and the hygienist (I forget her name) did a great job cleaning my teeth.

Negative experience: My dental crown fell off my implant. I came to the Michael Barnard DDS PA (1209 W Broward Blvd Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312) clinic to find out how much it would cost to fix the crown to the implant. The girls at the front desk said $110, I agreed and did the apointment the next day. The next day they confirmed to me again that fixing the crown would cost $110 and demanded that I pay this amount in advance. I paid this money. After that, they took an x-ray of this implant (it is in perfect condition) and forgot about me. I sat in the dentist's chair for more than two hours reading all the news and my email on my phone. After that, the doctor appeared, examined my implant and the fallen crown and said to re-cement it and also disappeared. After some time, a certain Freyda appeared and began to demand that I pay an additional $450 without any additional services, only because $110 in her opinion is too cheap a price, despite the signed contract and the money paid in advance. I refused to pay the additional money and she refused to provide me with a medical be service and refused to return my money. Only after I declared that I would not leave without money and demanded that the police be called, my money was returned to me. Moreover, Freyda called me names and humiliated me many times, said that I was the most greedy, the rudest, the most boorish of all the patients and that I should never appear in this clinic again in my life. Of course, I will never appear in this clinic again, where they make money not from providing dental services.

Fantastic experience: Due to the CPOVID-19 crisis I had not been treated by my dentist, Dr Barnard, in a full year. I had two crowns which had come off, which Dr Barnard, and his able staff, were able to refit t and paste these in place quickly and efficiently. They are able to respond quickly to patient needs when problems occur. Also they consistently provide high quality dental care while treating their patients and their needs respectfully.

Fantastic experience: Ah- mazing! I literally made my son an appointment this morning around 10am. He needed a cleaning and an exam. They made the appointment. When we got there, there was a slight misunderstanding as to why we were there. However, even with that little mixup, they were thee most professional, polite, and inviting staff I have ever encountered. I’d like to also mention that we were done within 30 minutes. I was in the waiting area and my son’s prescriptions were brought to me at least 15 minutes before he even came out. I have never experienced a dentist appointment like it. The office was immaculate. Clean with fresh smell. I would recommend this office on any day of the year!

Negative experience: I tried to find a way on your website to leave comments, but I didn't see one. Anyway, my experience was HORRIBLE! I was taken advantage of by over charging me $110.00!! I made the appointment for a CLEANING for $110.00. When I got there, they started taking x-rays. I told her I had x-rays less than a year ago. She took them anyway. Went to another room, another girl got more info. I told her when they do the cleaning I need the numbing liquid, she said not a problem. A few minutes later a dentist came in, not Dr Barnard and examined my mouth. She said it looked good. I told her I needed the numbing liquid for cleaning. She said not a problem. Let me see if I can find someone to do the cleaning, which I thought was a strange statement. I waited. The office manager came in a little later and I told her I needed numbing. She said ok. Let's set you up for an appointment. I said no. My appointment is for today, now. She said, no. This was just a consultation. A cleaning will be ANOTHER $110.00!!!!!!!!!! I WAS FURIOUS!! That is what I was there for. I need the cleaning so paid AGAIN! When the girl came in, it was late. I don't know if she wanted to go home, but IT WAS THE WORST CLEANING I HAVE EVER HAD! She started without numbing me, she didn't disinfect my partials like I asked and EVERY other dentist has always done. THEN she handed me my bags and said have a good day. I wanted to get out of there. MY TEETH DID NOT EVEN FEEL CLEAN! After i left i realized she didn't even give me back my partials!!! I had to leave work early the next day and go and get them!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Fantastic experience: This office staff make me feel comfortable as I have had a couple of really bad situations in other dentist office in these last years. This office is welcoming, kind and not just to get you in the door. They are sincere on their care for your dental needs and explain everything. They don't run up for a bill you can't pay and blind side you. They explain and print out in advance what the plans are and they will work with you to help you with your pay methods and insurance filing. They don't bring you in there to try to sell you on services that are not necessary and run up bills! Dr. Bernard is very efficient and kind, he explains everything he's doing, he keeps you comfortable and out of pain. If you start to feel pain during an involved procedure, he makes sure that he keeps you numb enough so you just don't have to suffer, they make it so comfortable. All of the dental staff members are knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. They can be a busy office, but once you're in the chair, their team go to work doing all that is involved for your personal care. I was so fortunate to learn about his practice. I highly recommend them, they really do care to do the best for you.

Negative experience: I went for a deep cleaning, I have a 7:30 appointment I end up leaving at 9 without getting my deep cleaning. They short of staff and those that help are very rude

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Barnard for over 30 yrs and have recommended him to others for that long too. He is a Painless dentist, gives you a hearty handshake that lets you know you are in the right dentists office. I highly recommend this dentist and his colleagues for all your dental needs. Try him and you will see a companionate, Painless dentist. Today Dr Barnard glued one of my teeth back in.. I love this dentist, I hope he practices as long as I am able to go to the dentist, he is painless! If you're afraid to go to the dentist you need to see Dr Barnard, seriously! Another visit to get my teeth cleaned at the hygienist at Dr Barnard's, and I was able to shake his hand and talk about a few things... We go back a ways. Still the best dentist anywhere. If you have a tooth problem or just need a cleaning give him a call. This will probably be your last dentist. You won't look for another. Just got back from another cleaning at Dr Michael Barnard. So good to see the doc again I've gotten a good bill of health and a good cleaning, it's too bad other dentists don't follow his lead. He is still a painless dentist he is also caring about his patients. Eventually you know you're going to need a dentist... please try Dr Barnard out, you will be happy you went there and pleasantly surprised. Also, his staff is also wonderful people. Fantastic experience: Dr. Bernard and his staff is remarkable. I've been a patient of Dr. Bernard since I was a teenager and he have always taken care of my dental needs. The staff is compassionate and caring as much as the Doctor. Thank you all for taking care of me throughout the years.

Positive experience: Awsome for my first visit ! Staff was calm and nice I have do go back for an extraction bummer but I feel comfortable

Negative experience: I have appointment at 3 o’clock. They make me wait for one hour just to see a doctor and then I was waiting for my paper so they can tell me if the insurance cover the procedure. I sat there for another 15 minute nobody show up I have to look for myself. I did not enjoy this experience. no one shows and explain to me if the insurance cover it or not they just make me sign a paper oh They will call me to explain more.

Fantastic experience: Today was my 2nd visit to this dental practice. So far I am very pleased with all the care I have received, including Maria the hygienist, and the office staff. I have been reluctant to have a needed tooth implant because of my fear of dental procedures. Dr Lucina gained my confidence almost immediately. She answered all my questions, seems patient and kind plus projects great competency. 2/28 Today was the first visit for phase one of the implant. Dr Licina made the whole procedure painless and stress free. 10/22/24 I continue to be very pleased with the care I receive from Dr Barnard’s office professionals. 4/25/25 I had a routine visit for cleaning today and was reminded again about the warm family environment. Still very pleased with all aspects of my care

Fantastic experience: Excellent care. I had a crises and asked if they could move my visit up, as soon as possible. I was in great pain. They scheduled me two days later and I was treated with sympathy; my options were explained and they listened to me and my reasoning. Thank you everyone. ZV

Fantastic experience: Dr Barnard always listens to me and gives me excellent care. I have never had a problem with his dental work for over 25 years. Update 12/22/23 just had a bridge replacement it fit perfect. Just got a cleaning to day and everything was perfect. 4/18/24. Just had a cleaning and a consultation on improving my smile. 10/22/24. Update 4/24/25 same great service & care.
