Avery Family Dentistry

Positive experience: Dr. Avery is professional and always willing ti take time to explain what is being done in detail. And the dental hygienists have all been exceptional. Very happy with that part of my experience. However, over several years now I have never been billed the amount I was initially quoted for dental work. There is always some excuse for extra charges, and they sometimes “appear” as late as 6 months after work was done. Very frustrating.

Fantastic experience: I love my dentist and the entire office is great! They have been taking care of me, my husband and our two kids for the past 9 years and have been absolutely wonderful. Great dental care, great customer care, always going above and beyond to accommodate and meet our needs. Always there to help when there were emergencies or special appointments needed to be scheduled with a very short notice. Doctor Avery is fantastic, very knowledgeable and has the lightest touch. Denise, the office manager, is the absolute best person to work with when you try to figure out kids’ schedules, insurances and all that wonderful stuff. Bottom line - amazing dental practice! Fantastic experience: After trying many other Dental services we finally found Avery Dental. We are very pleased with the attention and care we received from the staff at Avery Dental. As a parent it is very important to know you are getting honest feedback and thoughtful advice. As an added point, we travel over 40 miles to Avery Dental which says how much we enjoy the services.

Negative experience: Unfortunately i had to edit my review. The service here particularly with scheduling has gotten to the point its affecting my dental health. Last year i had an appointment that they cancelled due to overbooking. I asked when the next availability is she said like 5 weeks from the day we spoke. I said well if any spots open up or if you can cancel someone else's appointment to accommodate me considering the circumstances please let me know. Never got a call back‍♂️ i ended up going to another dentist in zion. I wish this was different as i really liked the actual dental service. Dr.avery is awesome! The atmosphere is always positive there. Accept at the front desk.

Negative experience: Very condescending and patronizing tone is used in person as well as in patient chart. Dentist & staff need people/customer service training. To say in a chart 2 year old moves too much is insane. You should stop servicing children if you have this perspective of them.

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for a few years now and it’s a great dental place. Denise is always welcoming and somehow remembers our whole family. Dr Cheska is very friendly and always happy to see us. We went out of network for our insurance and we did go somewhere else but came running back. They take cleaning very serious and we love that. Awesome people and great place to take care of your teeth.

I really like that she’s not taking care of three other patients at the same time or on her phone like my previous dentist. I have trauma/anxiety with going to the dentist, but Dr. Avery is so knowledgeable, gentle, and good at what she does. All of the staff are accommodating and kind. The location is excellent, and the building is very nicely decorated and comforting. I had my first crown done last year, and Dr. Avery was incredibly gentle and patient with me. I have been going to Avery Family Dentistry for several months now. At my first visit Dr. Avery assessed my situation and explained a step by step plan for addressing my dental needs. It has been a worry free experience for me. Also, I am on Social Security and Avery Family Dentistry gladly accepted my insurance, which was another big advantage for me. She is so nice but most important, an excellent dentist. Her staff follows her lead as they make you feel welcomed and create a relaxed environment. Negative experience: Just starting my clear correct process, and I honestly expected exceptional service, due to the fact that no insurance is covering my teeth concerns and will be paying out of pocket. It’s still crazy to me how you can personally own a business and one error from staff can make or break your experience. My hope is that remainder of my process is better.

I decided to come back to Dr. Avery and The dental hygienists are always gentle. There are never moments when I experience pain and Today I fell asleep in the chair. Fantastic experience: I’ve been looking for a dentist for a while and came across Dr. Avery. I really appreciate her one on one consultation, it was so personal. This meant a lot to me since I don’t like coming to the dentist. Another thing that helped is walking into her dentist office it did not smell like a dentist office!!! Her staff is so super nice. Answering any lingering questions you may have. I was waiting to give this review until I received my permanent cap. I can’t believe she was glossing my cap, never felt any look” like a tooth! It’s been a couple of weeks or so and I’m a satisfied patient. Again I’m not a fan of going to the dentist but when it’s time Dr. Avery is now my go-to new dentist… yay!
