Fantastic experience: This is a 5+ start Dental Center!! I am so impressed as my first visit was just less than a couple of weeks ago. The front desk staff team is amazing Kristen specifically. Then Brandy whom handles all the insurance/billing was extremely extremely helpful and I understood everything coming in for the first visit and she again met with me on future needs, etc. based on recommendation from Dr. Lewis. My dental hygienist Jolene was simply outstanding/amazing!! She is an amazing person and did an absolutely superb job on my dental cleaning and x-rays. You can truly tell that she just loves what she does and to top this all off I even got a wonderful thank you card in the mail just yesterday from her and Dr. Lewis from my first visit, etc. Lastly, Dr. Lewis was very thorough and provided me comprehensive information on what I needed to do next in regards to dental journey. Really cannot say enough good things about Bartram Dental Center!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! First, the decor is beautiful, I thought I was walking into a place where I could read a good book and order a coffee. Next, they are high tech when it comes to the equipment they use for diagnostics, I’m talking state-of-art. Lastly, all the personnel are next level professional, kind, and super customer focused. Special shout out to Alandrea, the Hygienist that took care of me. She provides superior work and incredibly friendly approach to clients.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit and I can’t say enough good things. Even before stepping foot inside, I was made to feel welcome on the phone. I was greeted with a smile and loved how the dental assistants/hygienists come out to the waiting room to take you back. They explained everything in detail and listen to your concerns. The dentist was amazing as well. I can’t wait to begin my new smile with these wonderful people. recommend.

Negative experience: We went for 4 years and we always loved them until we found out this dentist missed SEVEN cavities forming in my daughter’s mouth. Two which had to get crowns and one was almost extracted. I have gotten other dental professionals to look at her X-rays and they could obviously see where cavities were forming so this office either doesn’t know what to look for or chose to be negligent with my daughters mouth. They have cost me over 3K in dental bills fixing my daughter’s teeth that they always said were perfect until last September when they finally noticed the holes. Never send your children here.

Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying this place was absolutely AMAZING!! From beginning to end it was like the Beverly Hills of Dentistry!!1st class service. A hygienist got sick and I was called bright and early and Brandi apologized profusely and made every effort to accommodate! From the moment you walk into the door you are literally pampered! They offered extra services but were not pushy or sales crazed! I absolutely loved it. They went above and beyond. If you look at my reviews I literally am very honest and hard on businesses as customer service is so important to me. For me to give 5 stars is very very rare but I literally hope they stay the same and don’t change because I was amazed and impressed beyond my expectations. Don’t let me forget the Dentist he was super nice and laid back, hygienist was sweet and caring! Check out was easy and efficient and everyone was KIND!!

You’re given a form on your 1st visit asking “How can we make you more comfortable?” The office was really clean & you get a tour on your first visit. They have the “latest / greatest” equipment!!! . My Dental Hygienist “Leslie” has been in her profession for 19 years, and it showed; she was great! Dr Royce Barlow was thorough, and not pushy! They bake fresh cookies daily and they were yummy! Fantastic experience: Before going to Bartram Dental, the dentist was the last place I wanted to go to. But I have changed my mind about dentist visits since going there. My 1st experience was for a broken front tooth. Dr Lewis made a cap. He did an awesome job. I’ve been seen by, Leslie, Dental Hygienist, for X-rays and cleaning. She’s extremely efficient and gentle. Dr Barlow has extracted some teeth. I recently had to go back for pain and swelling in the area the extractions were done. X-rays showed everything was normal. They decided to do a 3D image and found a root tip - it was removed and now I’m pain free. Every team member I have met has been very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend BARTRAM DENTAL!!!

I received so much kindness no matter whom I came in contact with. My teeth looked brand new by the end of my visit! I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

Negative experience: Watch out for access fees. I was quoted a price of $400 and some change for teeth cleaning and they charged over $600. Needless to say, I was not satisfied with the job.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is extremely difficult for me, past traumatic events has given me extreme anxiety so finding a good dentist is difficult. When I first moved to Jacksonville in 2020 it took me a couple of tries but I thought I had found a dentist in Ponte Vedra only to be deactivated as a patient without notice. It had been a year since I had been seen, so making the phone call to schedule my appointment for a cleaning was difficult. The receptionist who helped me was so kind (I think her name was Jan, I'm sorry I don't remember) she listened to me did her best to put me at ease and scheduled me for Wednesday, August 20th. From the time I checked into to the time that I left every interaction from the front office staff to my hygienist (Joelene) to meeting Dr. Barlow I was simply blown away. Given that it had been so long since my last cleaning I wasn't surprised when they told me I had a cavity, (I actually thought I had one, that's what pushed me to make the appointment). Going back to get a filling is never easy but Dr. Barlow assured me it would be easy in and out in less than a half hour (I'm think yay right) but sure as heck enough I had my filling scheduled for 9am on Wednesday 8/27 and I was out of there before 9:30am, I immediately texted my husband and I told him I was in love with Bartram Dental Center. For me and the extreme anxiety I have in going to the dentist I have to feel comfortable with the whole practice. It does me no good if I love the dentist but if the front office staff doesn't make me feel comfortable and vice versa. Bartram Dental Center gave me such a peace and calm. When I didn't think I could love them anymore than I do, I received the sweetest thank you note, it didn't just thank me for coming in and allowing them to treat me, it also mentioned my upcoming trip and they told me to have fun. If you are looking for a new dental group, or looking to change, stop by and check out Bartram Dental Center, if nothing else you have to stop in and see their waiting room and grab a free homemade cookie. To the staff at Bartram Dental Center THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!

Positive experience: The office itself is very nice and the staff are extremely friendly, which I truly appreciated. However, I was surprised and disappointed to receive a signed letter from the doctor over an $84 balance. We just welcomed a new baby, and to come home to something like that felt unnecessary and excessive. I want to be clear—I’ve always paid my bills on time and fully understand that we all need to stay current with payments. This wasn’t about avoiding the bill. But the way it was handled felt offensive, especially given the circumstances. We even have upcoming cleaning appointments already scheduled, which makes the letter feel even more out of place. This isn’t meant as a complaint for the sake of complaining, but more as a heads-up for new patients: while the office and staff are great, the billing approach may not be what you’d expect. Because of this experience, we’ll be finding a provider that focuses more on patient care.

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue. I moved here from Illinois and had to find a new dentist and team. I have had some bad experiences as a child, so I am not a big fan to go to the dentist and finding one gave me some real anxiety. I have to say I am so glad I went here as they are the kindest individuals that truly understand people who have real dental anxiety. I want to give a huge shout out to Alandrea who always takes care of me and helps me relax and even laugh during my visits. She is a true blessing, and Bartram is lucky to have her and so am I.

I had a crown replaced and it was a very professional experience with attention not only to the details of the procedure but also to my comfort as the patient. Fantastic experience: This was my first time scheduling&going to the dentist alone as a young adult and was not too sure how the whole process worked but everyone at bartram made the whole experience seamless so I was able to feel comfortable and confident going in. Scheduling was really easy online, the office experience was great very informative through every step and before treatments they disclose co-pay/price was very clear and my teeth feel so clean !! Update: through multiple visits Alexandrea we were able to get my gums back to optimal health :)

Fantastic experience: After years of going to the same dentist, I recently tried Bartram Dental Center. Prior to my first visit, I had heard good things about the office, but once my husband went for a routine cleaning and came back raving about it..  I knew I had to go. When I entered the office, I immediately noticed the relaxing decor, clean, modern and crisp.  Next, I noticed a beverage bar, with almost every beverage known to man; endless choices! To top it off, they had fresh baked cookies for customers… imagine that. My 8 year old dove straight in, and loved every bite. By the time my actual appointment started, I became even more impressed.  My examination room continued the modern decor, and low and behold, had a flat screen tv. And what was the tv for you might ask? Well, not only can you watch a movie, but the hygienist uses the monitor to display color HD photos on the inside of your teeth. These pictures were taken and used in addition to 3d xrays. My hygienist also did a throat exam and checked my blood pressure. I had never experienced that at a dental practice. And as I laid there while the hygienist cleaned my teeth, I started to get cold and she offered me clean Snuggie blanket to keep warm. Wow. They checked off every box of concern on my list. The dentist was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He pointed out areas of concerns that no other dentist had, and to top it off, recommended a course of action that was not only economical, but would ultimately save me the extensive cost of a root canal and crown. In the end, this was by FAR the best dental experience I have ever had.  Moving forward I will return, and I will absolutely recommend my closest friends and family to experience these superior dental services.

Everyone from Ms Jamie at the front desk to, Jolene - the hygienist, to Dr.Lewis are incredibly understanding, knowledgeable, kind and empathetic. Given mine was an emergency, the scheduling was quick and easy, and the procedure was painless because they made sure to understand my concerns and asuage them through medical methods (numbing while cleaning) and using technology vs old school ways.

Negative experience: I had my first appointment for cleaning and X-rays and chose Bartram Dental based on reviews. Although I am happy with the hygienist, I feel like I was duped. I have insurance which covers the cost of cleaning and X-rays. I was surprised when I was told to pay $213 but I paid it as the services were already done before finding out. I was never told that they were out of network for my insurance until I received a notice that I still had a balance of $356. I should not have had any bill and would have gone to someone in network had they told me. They did remove the charges after I said I would not return, but that does not satisfy the mistakes. I feel like it is a fraudulent practice.

Fantastic experience: My name is David Diehm, We've been with Dr. Lewis for 20 + years. Dr. Lewis and his staff are part of our family. We've watched each other's families grow up. His dental practice is absolutely the very best. Besides the fact, they are professionals, they are kind caring and compassionate each and every time. Positive experience: The staff was very kind and helpful. Although I was treated very kind and they took great care of me, this practice is high priced. I was planning to get a full set of dentures with extractions. This is where my experience went south. Quote ranged from $54k to $19.6k. Lowest they would go was $18.6k Feeling this was quite high. I went for a 2nd opinion where I am now getting a full top denture and a partial bottom, saving some of my teeth for less than $9k. You do the math.

All the staff is great there, but I want to give a special shout out to Nicole who went above and beyond to help me with a scheduling issue. My son is scheduled for a cleaning there but the date/time with his orthodontist was not working out to get his braces wire removed/put back for the cleaning. Fantastic experience: Love this office! It’s very clean and well-decorated. They seem to have the most up-to-date technology as well. The staff are always so kind and friendly. My fiancé and I prefer to schedule our appointments to happen at the same time and they are always accommodating toward our needs. My cleanings are pain-free (I see Alandrea, she’s super sweet). Unfortunately, they are no longer contracted with my insurance but I still come here anyway. By the way, they offer fresh-baked cookies at the end of appointments!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Bartram Dental Center, and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was welcoming and made the check-in process quick and easy. The office itself is clean, modern, and comfortable, which helped put me at ease right away. Dr.Barlow, Grace and the team were very attentive, taking the time to explain each step of the exam and cleaning. They listened carefully to my concerns and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated as a new patient. I left feeling informed about my dental health and confident in their care. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new dentist!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff at Bartram Dental (especially my Rock Star Dr. Jason Lewis) is top tier. Here is why I am leaving a review: You treat people real nice. You don't act like you hate your job. You help folks who are incredibly anxious ( like me) relax. And apparently you only hire models so it's nice to look at pretty people ( like me). Negative experience: They have made so many insurance and clerical errors at this dentist over our 5-6 years there as a family. At first, a few years ago, I was told a certain amount for invisiline/braces, which was wrong and costed me THOUSANDS due to their errors in billing/insurance. I ate it and paid. Now, we are stuck having to pay yet another huge bill for cleaning, after we specifically asked ahead of time if we are in network. The way they phrased it was “they would submit to our insurance company”, but didn’t say it would be approved and withheld the information that they most likely would decline. They’re charging us over $1000 dollars for the cleaning of teeth on two people after years of going there for braces, dental work, and cleanings. An hour cleaning for 2 people is over a $1000? We won’t be back. Happy to pay, again, but I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: First off, I never considered Invisalign as an option. Dr. Lewis and staff presented it as an option and I decided to give it a try!! I’m sooooo happy I did. My treatment was smooth and seemed to go quickly. I can’t say enough good things about my Invisalign Treatment!!! Dr. Lewis and Megan were AMAZING!! For anyone looking for an Invisalign provider…look no further! Highly Recommended!!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Bartram Dental Center with straightening my teeth was wonderful!! I chose to use CandidPro instead of Invisalign for several reasons, but I was worried that I made a wrong choice. I asked so many questions, but I received assurance from the team at BDC that this would be an easy process to complete. They made me feel confident in my decision. I am so happy!!! My experience and results are fabulous! I am so grateful for Dr Lewis and Megan. They worked with me every step of the way to achieve the smile I always dreamed of. I cannot recommend Bartram Dental Center enough to my friends and family!

Negative experience: Stay AWAY! This is not a dentist, it is a money pit! Do not go there but if you do, do not fall for their root canal and crowns suggestions! You have a cavity: “we suggest root canal” - literally everything is a root canal and crowns for them since they are both expensive procedures. They had the audacity to recommend a root canal on my wisdom tooth! And if you don’t follow their suggestions, they threaten that they will no longer have you as a patient at their practice! Good bye! I found a good and honest dentist at Silver Forest Dental, more than happy!

Fantastic experience: Had my first appointment today for a new patient cleaning. Everyone in the office was fantastic! So friendly, helpful and great at their jobs. I was really nervous going today because of prior bad experiences, but they put my mind at ease. Top-notch service! I am actually looking forward to going back in 6 months. 5 stars!! ❤️

Negative experience: Make sure your insurance is in network with them. If it’s not they will not tell you and stick you with an ENORMOUS bill with options to pay monthly. $1800/crown. Can get for $500/crown any other dentist. 2 years later now , my crowns are still not right. They wanted to do root canals to fix them. Guess? I was gonna have to pay for them. If you don’t pay they simply turn you over to collection!! Stay away

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Bartram Dental Center! Dr. Lewis, Dr. Barlow, and the entire staff—Jamie B., Jamie C., Teri, Leslie, Megan, and really everyone—are simply incredible. I've been a patient since 2019, and our experiences have been outstanding. My husband has had some dental issues, and the office has consistently gone above and beyond to assist us. I remember a time when my husband was in pain, and the doctor accommodated us on his day off. Talk about exceptional customer service! The office itself is beautiful and high-end. We love it so much that our kids now go to Bartram Dental Center too. They previously had a terrible experience with a pediatric dentist and were terrified of dental visits. However, once they started coming here, they now love going to the dentist—not just because of the free cookies, but because the staff makes them feel safe and takes the time to explain everything. They walk them through each step and genuinely get to know them. My kids are actually excited to see the dentist now! Before coming here, they would always have cavities, but since we started our regular six-month visits, they haven't had any in years (although they could floss more, lol). As for my husband and me, everyone at Bartram Dental Center is kind and awesome. The front desk staff are great to work with, and we never have any surprises with billing. They are upfront about all costs, which is a huge plus for us. I could go on and on. If you're looking for a family-owned dental practice with the best staff and the latest technology, this is the place for you. But don't just take my word for it—check them out yourself and thank me later!

Fantastic experience: Best place to go, ever! I'm one of those sensitive patients that needs a little extra care when I'm go to the dentist and this facility has the most amazing people for that! I don't have to stress going to the dentist anymore as here, I am comfortable, pain and anxiety free. I highly recommend these guys!

Positive experience: In April 2020, I moved to Jacksonville, FL, from Phoenix, AZ. I wanted to find a dentist office that was owned by the practicing dentists (to keep from having rotating dentists coming/leaving the office) and used the latest technology - same day crowns, etc. as I had in Arizona. I originally used a dentist in Jacksonville. But, they stopped cad/cam technology for same day crowns and such and had rotating dentists coming/leaving the practice. In 2022, I then found Bartram Dental Center with dentists Jason Lewis and Royce Barlow. They checked all the boxes - owned by the two dentists and had the latest and greatest technology, new office and excellent staff as well. I called to check insurance. They were in-network with Aetna. So, during open season, I switched to Aetna and started going to Bartram Dental Center in January 2023. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, hygienists and dentists. However, in later 2023, I received a letter stating Bartram Dental Center no longer would be in-network with Aetna in 2024. In 2024, I had my first of two yearly cleanings. Previously, it was zero out-of-pocket when in-network. Now, in addition to my monthly dental insurance premiums, it will cost me $72.80 out-of-pocket! I also have old fillings from years ago. There are now cracks in four of my teeth due to the old fillings wearing out. At Bartram Dental Center, it will now cost me $1,500 out-of-pocket for each crown (same day crown). Going to an in-network dentist, it would cost me $719 per crown (same day). Needless to say, as much as it pains me to leave such a great dental practice, financially I have no choice. I found a dentist in the area that meets both my criteria and is in-network with Aetna (at least for now). So, I am switching.

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to Bartram Dental. My wife had been there before for an emergency procedure with Dr. Lewis because our dentist was out of town. She spoke very highly of her experience with Dr. Lewis, so when our Dentist retired I figured I would give them a shot. I had a great experience with my Hygienist Grace and Dr Lewis. Wonderful facility and really nice folks.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience! Very friendly staff, seen on time, provided excellent care and all in a comfortable environment. After 25 years of military dental care (which was never bad btw) it was nice to discover next level dental care on the “outside.” Highly recommend this dental practice!

Fantastic experience: I’m new to the area and needed to find a dentist. I did my research and am so happy to have found Bartram Dental Center. The facility and equipment they use is all state of the art. The place is immaculate. My hygienist Alandrea was nothing short of spectacular. She listened to all my concerns and explained everything she was going to do before and after every step of my appointment. Then I met with Dr.Lewis, who was just as great. Bonus meeting Dr.Lewis since I have sleep apnea and he’s a specialist in dental sleep appliances which I already have a ProSomnus device so he can guide me further. I know I’m in good hands with Bartram Dental. Kudos to the entire staff that I met as well who were all very friendly as well.

Negative experience: I’ve been a customer for years. Got a bonding on my front upper teeth for over $1500. The bonding began to fail and chip away within a year. No warranty if you do not have a cleaning every 6 months. Had a cleaning within a year and still would not warranty. I think their young dental apprentices are not qualified. Seek another dentist for work aside from cleaning. Disappointing

Fantastic experience: I have never had a great dentist experience until today! Leslie was amazing and super sweet. They were very kind from the front desk to payment! Also Mrs. Jamie at the end was very kind. Overall I recommend anyone to go here!!!! They have the kindest environment and it made the experience way better than ever before !!!

Fantastic experience: Bartram Dental is exceptional! I recently retired from a career in the dental profession. I have been in countless dental offices throughout the world. I have never been in a nicer, higher technology office. Absolutely state of the art! Exceptional people and exceptional customer experience!

Fantastic experience: Bartram Dental has every possible reason to make you want to be a patient under their care. Their new facility is spacious, bright, comfortable and soothing. The staff is excellent and really good at what they do, all of them. And you never have to go anywhere else for any dental problem you may have because Bartram is literally a one stop shopping center. Dr. Lewis is kind, low key, funny, and uses good judgment in deciding when a problem should be fixed. During my initial visit a year ago, he noted a worn down crown that would eventually need to be replaced. When that tooth began to hurt with cold or hot exposure 6 months later, he felt it was time to replace the crown and correct the problem. A week later It was done there at the new facility in less than 2 hours, completely finished. If you are looking for a dental practice in which you, the patient, is the first priority, then call them now.
