Negative experience: Parkway Dental Office was a mixed experience. The hygienist we worked with was great—professional, kind, and thorough. Unfortunately, the billing/insurance process was not handled well. We were repeatedly told the insurance claim information being submitted was incorrect, even though the provider was in-network. When we raised concerns, the staff members continued to deny that the information entered in their system was wrong. This led to major delays getting our child the proper dental care, and we eventually moved to another dentist. On top of that, the experience with Angie in billing was extremely unprofessional. When I tried to explain the problem with the claims and asked for clarification, she dismissed me, talked over me, and spoke to me in a disrespectful way. It felt like my concerns weren’t being taken seriously, which made the situation even more stressful. Based on the claims/billing issues and how concerns were handled, I would not recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mike is great. He cares and is a highly experienced dentist who is up to date on everything new as well. . The staff is diligent, friendly, and lots of fun. Appointments are timely, office is comfortable, and location is easy to reach with ample parking. This is an excellent dental practice.

Fantastic experience: In general all the people that work here are so kind and professional, specially Diana Hernandez my hygienist is the best, my daughter loves her. Diana makes us feel so comfortable and always does a great job keeping our teeth impeccably clean.

Fantastic experience: Very professional and a delight to have as our family dentistry. It was our first visit after relocating to Florida. We searched for months and for a dentistry that was in network with Delta Dental for retired military. I absolutely recommend Parkway Village Dental.

Negative experience: I was shocked to receive a surprise collection notice for a balance I had no idea was heading to collections. When I called the office to ask why I never received a final warning, their response was that I had 'opened an email' back in May. That email was not a final notice—it was a generic, automated 'New Statement' that simply said I had 30 days to view my bill online. It contained zero mention of being past due, zero mention of an impending deadline, and absolutely zero mention of debt collection or credit damage. I paid the balance to stop the credit hit, but I was forced to pay an extra collection fee because of their lack of clear communication. When I called back to ask if they would help with that extra fee since I never received a proper warning, they flatly refused and just repeated that I had opened the automated email. Future patients: Do not assume this office will call you, mail you, or explicitly warn you before sending your balance to collections. A generic e-statement is the only heads-up you will get. Check your balance constantly. This experience clearly deserves 1 star.

Fantastic experience: Parkway dental st Augustine was excellent. They are very friendly. Took great care of my wife. Explained the issue and what needs to be done to resolve the issue. Defintely recommend yhud dentist practice. Job well done !!

Negative experience: Stated several times during my visit I was only interested in services covered by my insurance, as they tried to upsell me on multiple different things. Nonetheless, they call me a week later saying they have magically found a way to charge me extra for something. Will be going elsewhere in the future.

Negative experience: Horrible experience! The front office staff was nice . The hygienist was horrible . She was very aggressive with my cleaning. Kept slipping instruments and stabbing me on the gums . I could still feel it, even though she did put numbing gel on my gums. It hurt bad . She also picked up and touched my sparkling water and looking at it and proceeded to tell me that Costco has a sparking water thing and I can make my own cheaper as what she does with her husband. I didn’t ask her opinion or want her to touch my drink. I was simply there for a routine teeth cleaning. When she was done, she kept trying to sell me on Curadon to get put on my teeth that was not covered by insurance, but might work to prevent pre-cavities. I told her I was not interested multiple times and she still kept pushing it on me. The dentist came in. He was fine and she kept pressing the Dentist on Curadon , but the Dentist didn’t act like I really needed it. He said it might or might not work and it was up to me. The Curadon would have been $230 out of pocket for 2 teeth or like she said broken up into two appointments and two payments. I still told her I wasn’t interested and she still kept selling it to me all the way to check out. I was so annoyed. No means no. Checkout was fine, but the hygienist was horrendous. My mouth hurt the whole day yesterday when I had my teeth cleaned and also today. It was such a bad experience, and I will be asking for another hygienist next time or switching dental offices all together. Not a pleasant experience!

Fantastic experience: I would rather burn my mouth with hot coffee than go to a dentist, but my visit to PVDC was surprisingly good. From the initial contact at the desk, to the hygienist, and then the dentist, my nerve endings were relaxed. PVDC is a modern dental office, with new equipment I’ve never seen before. Everyone was professional and personable. I didn’t feel like just another butt in the chair. They explained everything they were going to do, and were upfront with the cost. No high pressure pushing for procedures. Yes, they suggested different procedures, but no pressure. All in all it was a great first experience.

Negative experience: Use extreme caution when dealing with this dental group. They recommended a procedure. I asked if it was covered by my insurance. While I was there in the office, they said they contacted my insurance and said the portion of my bill would be about $400, which I paid on the spot. When the procedure was completed a couple months later, they said I now owed $1,030. Shame on me for continuing to do business with this practice as a similar incident occurred 2 years ago. They continually try to upsell services and use false estimates and deceitful practices to coerce you into work that I question really needed to be done. If 'No Stars' was possible, that would be my rating.

Fantastic experience: I love this office. Dr. Jarell is wonderful and I can't leave out my girl, Natalie. This week i had a bit of a dental emergency. Let's be honest, I became a patient because of a dental emergency. They got me in on the same day, we can up with a plan and we have been slowly working on it. I haven't necessarily been "scared" of the dentist but it was always my least favorite doctor to go to. They put my mind at ease. I am extremely comfortable there. It is absolutely wonderful. 10/10 recommend. Update: I left this review a year ago. My opinion remains the same. I love everyone in this office. Everyone is so friendly and I have way too much fun when I am there. I recently broke a tooth and I called and had an appointment for 3 hours later.

Fantastic experience: Parkway Village Dental care surpassed all our expectations. The staff is super friendly. The facilities are state of the art and everyone was warm and welcoming. Dr Ana Machado is wonderful. She takes her time to explain every detail and every option. The hygienist Spandana performed an spectacular job cleaning my teeth. During our visit We never felt pressured to buy any services or additional gear.

Negative experience: it was not a pleasant experience for me at all. first of all I could went in obviously because I was having problems with my dentures. now the problems are worse. they tried to fix the problem and created a larger problem. I would prefer not to discuss the entire situation here as it's something I need to discuss with my insurance company first. I will just leave it at the fact that I can't really wear my top dentures at this point until they're repaired properly. not to mention the fact they charge me an $80 copayment which they were not supposed to charge me and now I have to wait for that to be reimbursed once they put in the proper codes for reimbursement. not a happy camper but everybody was friendly on a good note.

Fantastic experience: One of my big fears is sitting in a dentists chair. Dr. Jarrell and his hygienist were so wonderful and professional and knowledgeable that my fear was greatly diminished. He is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever been to.

Positive experience: I am writing this review because I left mystified about the final charges for my visit. I must first start by saying my hygienist was excellent she is a lady from India and she is the best hygienist I’ve had at Parkway Village Dental. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Where things must improve are the explanation of all charges. I was told during my cleaning by an estimate person who came in a couple of times that I had to pay some additional charges for my cleaning, and I OKd the estimate. When I finished my visit and proceeded to checkout and additional charge for fluoride was added. I think it was 25 dollars. I was told at the front desk that they would send to the insurance but most likely they won’t cover it. I asked why I was to be liable for a charge I was not made aware and the response was to put the blame on my hygienist for not telling me. I don’t think it should be part of the dental hygienist to tell people the price of things, that is the responsibility of the front office or estimator. The process and pricing should be transparent. Everyone was cordial and friendly but I was not happy with the handling of the charge.

Fantastic experience: At 84 years old, I have been to many dentists in the past. I say with a clear mind that Dr. Jarrell is absolutely the best dentist I have Gone to. Besides his work being excellent, he is very honest in proposing only necessary work that he feels can be done successfully, and not extra work, which, as others have tried, was not really necessary.

Fantastic experience: I had a problem with a dental procedure that needed Care right away. I called them in the morning and before noon that day they had me in and got it fixed. I was so thankful for the time and care they put in to the repair. I would definitely recommend them. I have been seeing them for two years.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in Dr. Machado. Besides that she chose a too dark of a color for my 2 FRONT TEETH ( rather go lighter than darker) , get annoyed each time I look at them. But being treated like I don't know what I can handle , was very infuriating. I declined the numbing injection for preparing the tooth for a crown. My thinking is if a woman can handle giving birth without an Epidural, I can sit through a few minutes of pain. But from you might move ( newsflash Im not an idiot), to I don't want you to have pain nor cry. Come on, I'm an adult and know what I can handle. So rude to decline my option.I don't appreciate this. Luckily I found a Dentist who treated me like an Adult and addressed me as....YOU'RE THE BOSS. Everything went fine, I didn't whimper once.

Fantastic experience: Parkway village dental care is a wonderful and caring dental firm. My X-ray technician was wonderful and of course my dentist is the best.

Negative experience: If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. I came in for a standard cleaning only and made it crystal clear—multiple times—that I did not want any additional services performed. Despite this, they went ahead and did unauthorized procedures without my consent, then attempted to bill my insurance for them. Unsurprisingly, the insurance didn’t cover these charges, and now I’m being stuck with a bill I never agreed to. When I called to discuss this fraudulent billing, both Angie and the office manager Holly were unbelievably rude, condescending, and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the problem, they dismissed my concerns and told me there was “nothing they could do,” even though they performed work I explicitly declined. To make matters worse, they are still insisting I pay this bogus invoice with no adjustments. This office is unethical, disrespectful, and clearly more interested in padding their bills than providing honest dental care. Stay far away unless you want unauthorized work done and a headache fighting unfair charges.

Fantastic experience: The whole office staff is amazing. From scheduling, checking in, hygienist, dental assistant and dr machado. All very helpful and knowledgeable. Super happy with this practice.

Next an office representative went over the fees for my procedure and used my dental insurance to verify what was covered. The most pleasurable experience in a dentist office I have ever had.

She needed to get to a dentist immediately. She was in excruciating pain. Your Entire office handled my 87-year-old mom who has dementia with such kindness and care. Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with my hygienist  Jennifer at  Parkway Village. She was  incredibly professional, gentle, and made me feel at ease throughout the entire cleaning. She explained each step of the process, were very thorough, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My teeth have never felt cleaner! It’s clear both Jennifer & Dr.Jarrell take great pride in their work. I really appreciated their friendly attitude and attention to detail. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience for my first time there. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Easiest tooth removal I’ve ever had done and the lease painful! Definitely would recommend.

Negative experience: The front office staff was always pleasant, however the dentist Dr. Machado, her assistants and the office manager are dishonest and unprofessional. They never listened to what I asked, the interactions were always awkward and the way they speak to you made the whole situation awkward. I had four crowns done on my front teeth by Dr. Machado, she made them way bigger than my original teeth were, she put them on, they were so tight, that another tooth cracked, then they were so big she had to shave them down, they continued to shift down and now are still way longer than my other teeth. Then she wanted to do a partial for my top back teeth. I told her about another dental office that had already done my partial and it never fit right, I had paid $600, had to go back 10 times for them to adjust it and it never fit right, I finally gave up and threw it away because I couldn't wear it, well Dr. Machado assured me their lab was the best and the partial would fit great, so I reluctantly agreed, she assured me that if it didn't fit right they would send it back many times as needed. I got the partial, did not fit right, it was bulky, the teeth looked awful and it didn't fit right. Dr. Machado told me that she would send it back to the lab and I would not have to pay for the lab fee they would wave it, I agreed, two weeks later got it back, still did not fit right, I was very unhappy. Spoke with Dr. Machado and the office manager and told them I was not going to pay $600 again and not be able to wear them, they assured me that they would send it back and I would not be responsible for anything. Then a week later I get a bill for $129, I called the office spoke with the office manager and she said the insurance would not cover the lab fee, why would they, I never accepted the partial and I told her that Dr. Machado assured me they would absorb the fee and not bill me. I also asked the manager when had I signed anything acknowledging that I would be responsible for that fee, she said I didn't, but nevertheless I have to pay it. I told her, they also did my husband's partial and our insurance paid the lab fee, they were just mad that I didn't accept the partial and even though Dr. Machado said they would not bill me for the lab fee, they did anyway. Then she tells me they don't even have to bill my insurance for anything, they do it as a courtesy. Really? You have a contract with my insurance company, you are not out of network, clearly the office manager is clueless and lacks serious customer skills, and Dr. Machado lacks serious integrity. No worries, if you desperately need $129 so bad that you are willing to lose the business of a family of 5, enjoy the $129, plus the thousands you already ripped me off of, neither I nor my family will ever return to this office, they are unprofessional and liars, absolute horrible experience. I asked to speak with the owner of the business and they refused, said I couldn't speak to anyone besides the office manager. Stay away from this place, they care more about money than their patients. I wish I would have looked at their reviews before I went there, horrible office! Update: What a joke of a response from this office. I have already spoken to the office manager Holly, who was absolutely rude and showed zero professionalism, and told me that it's not their responsibility to let me know if something isn't covered ahead of time, even though Dr. Machado said that they would not charge me for the lab fee if I was not happy with the partial. When I called back to speak with the owner, they refused to allow me to speak with the owner and said the office manager had the last say so. So what exactly would you like me to call your office for? Your office is a joke, your office manager is a joke, your dentists have zero integrity. As I stated, you got my $129, because you are liars and you will not get one more penny from me or my family. Stop posting responses like you care, you don't, zero integrity or professionalism, all your office cares about is ripping patients off. So so sad.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I found a great option for dental care! Everyone was lovely to work with. They gave me a new patient discount and the cleaning, photos, etc were all fantastic and very informative.

Negative experience: The office billing department is the worst. They quoted one price and when the work was done they said I owed $100 more than quoted. Also the front desk asked me to acknowledge my visit so I signed but they never told me the price was $100 higher. Now they could say you signed the form. I just don’t like the way it came down.

Negative experience: Horrible as all the Facebook reviews say liars and all about pushing the bill up. Even my insurance company said my out of pocket costs they were asking for is double what it should be. Stay far away from this place
