Negative experience: They are very professional, the places awesome the main doctor really knows what she’s talking about but it’s not affordable. That’s why they get a thumbs down from me. They are not affordable at all. But it’s an excellent place to go if you have the budget

The online check-in process makes the visit more efficient as personal details are collected before hand. Crystal, the dental hygienist is thorough and always provides constructive feedback. Negative experience: I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this clinic’s administration. I requested my clinical notes for a specialist consultation I had already scheduled. Despite both the dentist and front desk said I would receive them on the day of my request or tomorrow morning, they failed to deliver. The next day, after waiting until noon with no updates, I called to check the status. I specifically asked if I could have them by 2 PM to ensure I was ready for my next appointment, and asked the receptionist, "How long will it take?" The receptionist misled me, saying "It's sent to the doctor for review; you'll get it once it’s approved," giving me the false hope that it would be ready any moment instead of being honest about the situation. When I still hadn’t received anything by 2 PM, I went to the clinic in person. To my shock, the receptionist then told me the doctor wasn’t even in today, so they couldn't give it to me. Why didn't they tell me this on the phone? Why wasn't I told earlier that I might have to wait three days? When I confronted the receptionist about why she didn't disclose the doctor's absence earlier, she spoke to me with an attitude, claiming she "never made any promises."This level of irresponsibility and blatant lack of respect for a patient’s time is unacceptable. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication and the wasted time, two staff members simply told me to "be quiet" when I got upset. They then proceeded to ignore me and started chatting among themselves. The most ridiculous part? After a dental assistant finally stepped in to help and contacted the doctor, I received the notes immediately. It turns out they could have contacted the doctor all along, but chose not to until I was forced to make a scene.

Positive experience: I would have give 4-5 stars if it wasn’t for a situation that’s occurred and now I am scared it will happen again. It has nothing to do with the periodontists that practice there. My advice is to Make sure to call to confirm your appointments. I got a text to confirm, and I did through the text because it said that was an option. I had taken half a day off from work. Then I called them the day of my appointment because I was getting texts with different times, and the receptionist told me that they cancelled my appointment because I did not confirm, and they didn’t have any appointments for the day. I said that this is not my fault and have proof with the text! I also said that I had to leave work, which also means I don’t get paid for that time because I work hourly, and this means I have to request another time off. None of this mattered, and she said I had to reschedule! I was so mad, and I told my dentist that I want to find another periodontal office! She said that she could give me another referral, but I would have to start all over with X-rays and all. I don’t have the money to pay for all that or the time. My dentist suggested I give this office another chance so I did. I have been to 2 appointments since with no issues. I just made sure to call to confirm my appointment. It’s stupid that I have to fear my appointment being canceled still with a mistake on their part, even if I call, but I don’t know what else to do. I am cautious when trusting dentists because of my past experiences.

Negative experience: Be aware of scammers and be cautious about dishonesty and greedy from this business owner. They lied and would not refund overpayment even it’s written and documented. Highly not recommended.

Positive experience: Crystal is great. She always does such a good job cleaning my teeth. She really tries to keep me from enduring a lot of pain when she cleans my teeth. My gums are super sensitive. I usually give five stars but this time I left in pain. Because of my implants. The doctor who completed my second stage did a good job, but The pain right after was very bad. I hate that pain isn’t taken more seriously these days. They just send you on your way. Take the OTC. After the numbing wore off the pain was unbearable.

Negative experience: Rip off. I was told that the treatment would be 1 to 1.5 hours. The asst did the job in 20-25 min. Don’t even know if he did a good job. After that no post op instructions. Plus charged 1600$. Extremely disappointed.

I really like my hygienist, Crystal, who worked very hard to ensure my teeth are clean. She put in a lot of work and always did a great job. Dr. Mathur fixed my gum problems. Surgery is scary but I didn’t feel anything during the surgery.

And you will be too. But as soon as Dr. Mathur walks into the room you know that everything will be fine. That’s how good she is. That’s the calm that she brings to an already stressful situation. And that’s rare these days. What’s even more rare is that her staff is just as amazing. Only call Dr. Mathur if you want and expect perfection. Fantastic experience: These guys are very professional and compassionate. I came in with a broken implant. I felt so shameful because it was a front tooth. I would sometimes, break down in tears. They comforted me and were quick to treat my tooth. Now I can smile again. I can't thank them enough.

Negative experience: I came in for a consultation but left disappointed. The office did not inspire trust and confidence from the dentist to the manager. I am getting a second opinion and consulting with another dentist that hopefully will take time to explain the process specially to someone like me doing this for the first time. This may be routine to them but I don’t want to feel rushed and just a payday. I am a retired professional and my wife is in the medical field.

I had to get bone grafting surgery. I was nervous to be sedated. But they did a great job. They were patient and kind. I understood all fees and they worked with me on pay options. Then my main ten e cleaning experience is always the bomb with Mrs Crystal. She takes her time and is careful not to hurt my mouth. I really like this place. Fantastic experience: The office staff is always delightful and very professional. Recently I had an issue with our account and the business office went above and beyond to clarify and correct the problem. We are totally satisfied and Dr Mathuer’s work is extraordinary.

Positive experience: The Good, the Bad, and other infor. The Good:Dr. Nelson is a great doctor. He is attentive and detail oriented. I would highly recommend asking for Dr. Nelson if you have to go to SL Periodontics. The Bad: seem to have little care and concern for your time. On two occasions I was early for my appointment, taken back on time, and left to wait 75 minutes and 95 minutes respectively. If I were 75 or 95 minutes late they likely wouldn't see me, but it's perfectly acceptable for them to leave you there without any comms and expect everything to be okay. Additionally, I found it incredibly unprofessional that my original appointment and consultation was with Dr. Mathura and we scheduled surgery. Arrived for the surgery and I'm told "she doesn't want to do it", luckily Dr. Nelson stepped in (missing his anniversary) and took care of it...thank you Dr. Nelson. The Other: the receptionist at the front is very friendly, she greets you with a smile and addresses you by name, loved the personal touch. Min takes your money, she is friendly but a bit pushy and often says she's giving you the "min discount". Did get a "gift bag" which was likely promotional items given by the manufacturers, but a gift bag nonetheless. Overall: expectations were higher than the service delivery. I give this place 3 stars...and it would be ONE if not for Dr. Nelson and the receptionist.

Dr Mathur did a great job with my implant a few years ago and im a regular customer now , do all my dental cleanings there now :)

Negative experience: Though I love how lovely the hygienist clean and how comfortable the Dr. made me feel her feel, Please, future patients, confirm with your insurance company regarding all procedures and implants to determine what your copays are before accepting any such service from this office. Don’t say I didn’t warn you—you could be hit with an unexpected bill you never agreed to!

Fantastic experience: I was nerves going in for a scaling and deep cleaning that I had needed for years. Dr. M office an associate made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. They constantly checked on me every minute. The procedure went better than I thought it would. Not hardly any pain or discomfort. It went real smooth.
