Negative experience: Update several years later... All the work I had done has either failed or had to be re-done by another practice. Dr Kelly lost his license and the place has closed. Original review, no longer valid: Can't say enough positive things about Dr Kelly and his team. I have full upper and lower arch implants that look wonderful and are very comfortable. Dr Kelly seriously knows his craft and his team is fantastic.

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars I would. My husband and I both went there and now that they have been shut down, thank goodness, we have a new dentist who explained what we partially expected. It was worse than we thought. Because we said no to crowns, we just can't afford them he let teeth that could have been filled rot. My husband went there with 2 cavities. My husband less than 2 month later has FIFTEEN CAVITIES.......he had 2 5 months ago. If you don't do the expensive work done they just clean so you have to come back and get them pulled. 9 people uner anesthesia without a license, creating cavities, robing people. SAVE YOUR TEETH AND YOUR MONEY.

Negative experience: They randomly shut down when I already had a appointment set to finish getting my teeth filled; what teeth they have filled about almost a year ago have started to hurt again feeling like the fill is going away like wasn’t done correctly at all. I HIGHLY recommend to NEVER go here!

Negative experience: the only thing i like about this place is that they accept my insurance & they were quick to act fast in my wisdom tooth situation. I ended up with a dry socket which hurt tremendously & begin to stink. I went back to make sure everything was healing properly when I explained to him that it was still hurting a great bit & now beginning to smell. I was throwing up everything I was eating and becoming dehydrated. He told me it’s fine and that I just have a low pain tolerance after he stuck his whole hand inside of my mouth and picked & poked around where I had just those teeth removed. I never went back.

Negative experience: The lady that cleans my teeth is the sweetest lady but is now gone with everything that is going on at this practice. I have a new dentist to fix some of the mistakes from this location. Good luck to everyone that went to this practice at one time.

Negative experience: Incredibly unprofessional, constantly canceling my appointments last minute and rescheduling them out even further due to “double booking”. Had a cavity filled and the tech had no idea what she was doing and kept stabbing me in the gums until i bled, the doctor kept stopping to readjust the tools she was holding for her. He left a huge piece of cotton in my mouth that was not supposed to stay there and i didn’t find it until much later as my mouth was numb. And now they have abruptly closed without notifying patients. I showed up for an appointment to a closed office. I have been unable to reach anyone to get a copy of my records

Negative experience: Since the office is closed how do it get my dental records ?

Negative experience: Awful experience. LICENSE REVOKED FOR MALPRACTICE AND FALSIFYING RECORDS. Got an implant done here. Once implant was in I had excruciating pain over the next 5 days and sensitivity. Went back in the following Monday and dr Kelly said it was just some residual infection from the old tooth. Why you would place an implant where there was still infection is beyond me. Then fast forward two weeks later and the implant came out of my jaw while I was eating. Freaked me out. Called emergency line since it was a Friday at 7pm. No answer and no call back after multiple calls and voicemails. Walked in first thing that Monday and was told oh we heard your voicemails. Sorry about that. Then said he just wanted to let it heal and come back later to install a new one. Have tried to get my money back and I’m being avoided. No wonder you lost your license due to MALPRACTICE and FALSIFYING RECORDS.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Andrew W Kelly has been my dentist when he had offices in Playa del Rey and Inglewood, California. In my opinion he is an excellent dentist. He’s very knowledgeable period and a great person. I’m an eighty-six year old woman with Lupus and careful of doctors that I allow to treat me!

Negative experience: They removed all my teeth on April 17th. Dr. Kelly was Supposed to do my surgery but he let this Diaz lady do it. Everything they did was so wrong. I went for the same day denture.The dentures do not fit and was made poorly by Someone in training. After surgery I had major problems. The prescription they gave me, they a marked stuff out on it and wrote on it. No pharmacy would take it. My sister had to take the prescriptions up there twice to get them fixed. The medicine that gave me I could not even take. The pain Medicine I was allergic to. I'll call back up there several times For several days. 7 days. I was told the clinical staff would give me a call back. No One ever called me back until seven days later When I mention getting an attorney. Diaz calls me back from her cell trying to cover he butt. She even offered me free inplants. The girls that answered the phone was so rude.One phone call the girl said.What do you need. They did not return my calls. How can you do surgery on somebody and don't even answer their calls or call them back. I had to go to the er twice and my doctor's office once. I went to the er that thursday and that friday. they had to give me a pain shot and a steroid shot because I was swollen and it was so bad. When I went back all she did was Re line my dentures that did not even fit. I went back the next time and there was a different dentist there with Doctor Kelly. I think Diaz was not there. He said my whole case needs to be started over because everything was wrong and the denture's was not even made right. I have several knots in my mouth My gums are still swollen.I had four ulcers in my mouth. I can't even wear my teeth or eat proper . Doctor kelly told them to put me on the schedule for may fifteenth for my surgery. They said they have to go in and fix everything she did wrong.That would have to cut both of my gums all the way open remove the pieces She left in there which its a lot. Then fix my bone Stitch me up and then make me some new teeth. Now his license is revoked and the office is closed. They sent me a text message to Cancel my surgery knowing the way she left my mouth. Doctor Kelly, put me on the schedule for the may 15th After his court date he knew he wouldn't gonna be there no more. I wrote them messages on their website And they have not responded says it takes six hours or less to respond. I called the emergency after number and left a message and asked them how they can leave my mouth like this. Still no answer. They billed both of my insurances and now I can't get my mouth fixed. I called up to the office today and was told was the office was closed.That the manager will give me a call back. Right now I had to go to my Doctor to get some antibiotics because there's an infection in my mouth because of where she left these pieces in there. I don't think nobody at this place really cares about anything.How can you lay somebody like this knowing how yall left me? If I knew this dennist was like this I would never went to them. Everybody I talk to has nothing good to say about this dental office. I was out of work seven days and in pain waiting for these people to call me back. The first 2. Days after my surgery my mouth was leaking like a water fountain. I filled 4 whole bath towels up. And all they was worried about was taking my review down. I went to this dentist's office.I trusted this dentist office and now my mouth is Horrible. I can't eat nothing hardly. I cant wear my teeth because they were made wrong. Pieces of bone or parts of the tooth pieces sticking out of my gum. And now there's an infection in my gum. And they still don't care. how can you cancel surgery through text? You couldn't even pick up the phone and call somebody Especially after the way they did. Mouth infections is nothing to play with! I don't deserve to be treated like this of left like this. My pain is still here.I'm emotionally drained for what they did to me. Now they won't void the payment they did, so I can get my mouth fixed or get new teeth when they butchered me

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelly is experienced and knowledgeable and I have the utmost confidence in him. Moreover, his staff is friendly, accommodating, and very efficient. Dr. Kelly took the time to explain the issues with my mouth and laid out a comprehensive plan to bring my smile back

Negative experience: I had an implant by Dr. Kelley dating back to February 2021. Long story short, the first one failed (I do not smoke or do anything to cause the failure). It was replaced. DoKelly then installed the crown and broke off a screw in my implant. It is going on two years and still trying to get this repaired. He is unresponsive and avoiding me. If I could give negative stars I would. I highly recommend against doing business here. You will probably be sorry you did. I was offered $500 to remove this review.

Negative experience: To be honest they don’t even deserve a star… I have never been to a dentist where you had to wait a whole year before you can be seen again… The lady that works in the office that consultants you on dental plans have no clue in what she’s doing… The last time I was there Dr. Kelly came out and told her off because she was messing up everyone’s paperwork… Im so thankful I go to a real dentist now

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever been to. I’ve had multiple issues at this office and time after time I gave them second chances. I took off work for this appointment that was already rescheduled; just for me to come all the way to the office and the building is closed. No one called me to let me know they would be closed or to reschedule my appointment again. Also how and why would you schedule me at a time your not opened? Your office hours at the building on the front door is saying your open on mon-thur from 9-5. And Fridays 9-2pm. I drove all the way here in the rain for my appointment that was scheduled on Friday at 3pm and no one is here. I would’ve loved if someone took the time out to realize that and saved me a whole lot of time. I’ve already waited 6+ months for this appointment.

Negative experience: I had made a first time appointment with this dentist, about a month ago, they text me confirming it,and when I called back to go to my appointment, I was told that I never had a appointment scheduled with them.I was also told they accepted my insurance before, and now they don't.Will find another place.

Negative experience: Went here for almost a year , had fillings done that I am now having to have re done and fixed by a new dentist because decay was left under the fillings , the wait and appointments here are always longs , last time I went they said I had one cavity left to have filled found a new dentist who said I had more then one , definitely would look into other dentist or at least get a second opinion!

Negative experience: My wife was due for oral surgery at 11 on the 28th of November an today at 3:30 they call an canceled an rescheduled when she has been needing this an in pain but if a customer cancels less than 24 hours of the appointment then they get charged this is kind of sad

Positive experience: I have mixed feelings about this place. Dr kelly did an amazing job was excellent! The front reception area on the other hand is not friendly at all. My husband has waited over a year on an appointment because the Drs office rescheduled not him and they will do nothing for pain to help him just said the ed is his only option. Wouldn't even let me speak to a medical professional. Really disappointing such great talent is being held back by such nasty people up front. This isn't just one person up front either I've witnessed them being nasty to other people elderly as well. Sad really.

My medical record has so many errors and I don’t know if I will be able to see Dr Tolbert prior to surgery so he can correct those errors. Negative experience: This place don't wait until you can call them back. I got a call at 1230 p.m. for an earlier appointment to do my surgery tomorrow morning at 9 a.m and called back when I got of work at 230 and it was already taken. People do work and it's wasn't right for them to wait until I returned the call. I am very upset because now I have to wait until October 18th. They need to give patients more time to respond. I have called a few times to get an earlier appointment and was placed on a call list. This is very unfair.

Positive experience: I've been going to this dentist for a while now I've always liked it yesterday I went kind of had a surprise experience the doctor that I usually use was in there the young lady that was there didn't introduce herself was speeding around kind of scared me a little bit Dennis is the worst fear I've always been scared of dentist after a while I kind of warmed up but not enough but I guess I may go back because I'm used to going back to that office so hopefully I warm up to her my thing is I do not like changing doctors without being notified the one thing they could have done is notified the patients that the dentist that they were using wasn't there we'll go back and give it a try

Negative experience: I DO NOT recommend going to this dental office. I got my teeth pulled a week ago and I am having pain. The office will be closed for a week and they do not provide back up dental office, no dentist is on called. My gums could be infected and the only recommendation was giving was to use tea bags. Do not go if you are serious about your health! UPDATE: I had dry socket

Negative experience: Today was my third time there and it was terrible. I had a different dentist and he was very unprofessional. He dropped the drill on my front teeth then when he grabbed it the cord was laying across my face. My lips and gums were so dry his mirror stuck to them when he took it out. I tried letting him know I was uncomfortable and he literally wouldn’t listen. He just kept going. It was so bad that I told him it felt fine when I bit down just so I could leave. I never leave reviews unless something went amazing or terrible wrong.

Negative experience: To be bluntly honest, I feel like I was mislead by this provider. I was looking for a dentist and when I looked at their website regarding the insurance they took, it said to call the office. When I did call the office, I asked if they took my insurance. I gave them the name of the insurance, my group and member number. I was told they took my insurance. After my visit when a question came up regarding billing, I was informed that they are in fact out of network with my insurance. I would not have gone there had I understood that their saying they "take my insurance" is different than being in network with my insurance.

Negative experience: I have had a very poor (and I am using that word lightly) experience with Dr. Kelly's Office. I would suggest to anyone thinking about having dental implants to go to another dental office. I had my implants done over a year ago and had to go to another dental office (who I am very happy with) to have the proper dentures made and to make me feel like I mattered as a patient and a person.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this place no stars or negative stars. If you are a woman of color and educated, I suggest you do not go to this dentist. They will try everything in the book to trick you into paying more money than you should. I have been there 3 times for appointments.. always leaving without any procedure done because of my insurance they say. It’s unprofessional, office staff very loud, whispering amongst themselves about patients. I had prepaid my visit and when I told her I did not like this place and wanted to go to another dentist, she said she would try to get my money back. I told her try, no she would. While writing this review, I was notified I would receive partial payment, but not all as she stated. So I will continue to pursue my money , mainly because it’s the right thing to do. Dr Kelly and staff, you all should be ashamed of yourselves of how you treat women. It seems this is an office that only serves men, due to the flirting of the ladies especially around my son. My son likes going there, and I pray that you will treat and care for him the right way with his dental procedures. My son is a grown man, and my horrific experience should have no bearing of the dental treatment of my son. His treatment needs to continue to be A plus care. I hope you will stop this travesty of trying to trick people out of their money. I want the rest of the money I was told I would receive from prepayment. I will never prepay forget a service(s) I never received.

Negative experience: After being with this practice about 10 months, we are still finding Dr. Kelly to be exceptional. However, the office staff are not very responsive. It is hard to get a callback or a live person on the phone when calling for information. Disappointing because Dr. Kelly is top notch , but his office staff needs better management. The staff here are very kind and efficient, they know their jobs well. Dr.. Kelly was able to offer a treatment plan for my wife that no other oral surgeon has been able to offer. His depth of knowledge and experience are both far and above expectations. Dr. Kelly is clear and honest in his suggestions. I am grateful that we found this office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelly's staff are friendly and care about their patients needs. Dr. Kelly seems very knowledgeable and communicates well with his patients and what their immediate needs are and what should be addressed after restoration work is complete. I chose to utilize their services and will update after restorations are complete as to my satisfaction with my implants. 11/29/21 After many months and a redo on one of the three implants I had to have done, my new teeth have been ordered and should be in mid January '22. This last visit was a bit more than I expected for sure but everything went well. I am really looking forward to seeing the end results.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelly and staff are the absolute best. I had to have a complex extraction and implants placed and had no discomfort at all during or post op. I recommend them for all your dental needs. I too am a dentist and drove from Chapel Hill to have Dr. Kelly do my dental care.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Kelly yesterday morning. I was supposed to be getting a few teeth extracted, however when I arrived I was informed that Medicaid hadn’t sent an approval back yet for my partial and that it may take awhile because of COVID. I waited a few minutes and Dr. Kelly came into the room.. he was super nice, funny and inviting. he also apologized several times about the mix up and told me the game plan of what was going to happen whenever my approval gets sent back. I would highly recommend Dr. Kelly to anyone. I am terrified of the dentist and all of the employees and staff are just wonderful and made me feel at ease the entire time I was there!

Fantastic experience: It's taken me a couple weeks to post this review because of a lot of personal stuff but I picked up my final set of implant dentures and I couldn't be happier. Not just with the fact that I have upper teeth and I can chew more food now but I couldn't be More happier with Dr Kelly and the entire staff even though there were times I did not make it easy for them. They were beyond patient with me they walked me through everything and they took really good care of me during the procedures and I will be most definitely using them for my regular dentistry so I highly recommend Dental Center of the Carolinas to anyone who needs general dentistry or any kind of implant procedure done.

Negative experience: The worst place ever .My son went in for a dental visit and was told he had a infection in his gum line . He was also told he needed a root canal .I was told Medicaid won't pay for it and that I need to credit Care to pay for it all. Liesssssss because of the greed of money. My son's whole upper n lower gum line was severely infected . He had to have emergency oral surgery and has lost all his teeth on the top n bottom .If your on Medicaid .stay away from them

Negative experience: Not sure what happened but I waited 2 hours in the lobby for them. Spoke to the sweetest receptionist. She asked what was going on. Got me back into a chair where I waited another 30 minutes and no one came in. So I walked up front and spoke to her again and there was a lady who was assisting dr Kelly up front and when she found out who I was, she took me back into a room, grabbed dr Kelly and they apologized over and over again about it. Not happy about waiting, but really appreciate their staff for being so good when there was an issue.

Fantastic experience: On July 19, I visited Dr. Kelly's office and we were treated like family. Dr. Kelly was so nice and made sure that I was comfortable and that I understood what was going to be the treatment that I would have to have done. He is very professional in his work. I would recommend anyone who may need help with their dental work give his office a call. You will not be disappointed.

Negative experience: My daughter’s grandmother had passed away the day of a visit I tried calling Multiple times and no one would answer or give me the option to leave a message and now they won’t see my daughter because they say it’s a no-show I think that was pretty messed up will not go back again

Fantastic experience: Paging Dr. P!! Look no more for your dental needs. Dr. P is amazing. He’s super patient and has a wealth of knowledge. He’s adamant about the health of your mouth and your mind. Fantastic experience: Dr Kelly was hands down the best Dentist/Oral Surgeon that has ever worked on my teeth. I have complications due to metal in my face from an accident that I was in. Dr Kelly didn’t hurt me at all during my dental procedures. He did 2 extractions yesterday and I feel absolutely NO PAIN TODAY. I recommend him and his staff to anyone and everyone that needs dental work. I cannot thank them enough.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed going to this dentist. They all was very kind, nice and they seemed to be concerned about the pain I was in and making me comfortable as much as possible (I never had a dentist do that before) They care for there patients for what I seen in person when I was in the office Every time I let it know I needed something for pain, they “always” helped me right then and was informative (letting me know what was going on) In my words - best dentist I ever been to. Fantastic experience: Dr. P is the best dentist I've ever experienced. He makes you feel comfortable and he's super nice with with very upbeat attitude. Always in a good mood and let's you know everything he's doing. I've had several dentists with horrible "bedside manner" so Dr. P is a breath of fresh air! The entire office staff is very friendly and helpful! I will be remaining a patient here as long as possible!!

Fantastic experience: The staff was very courteous and professional. Doctor Kelly explain the procedures step-by-step and made sure I understood what was to come.

Positive experience: Dr. Kelly was very understanding about my issues and explained everything extremely well. His staff were all very nice. But to say that I was shocked by the final cost is an understatement. I didn’t expect them to be cheap for implants but the price was about 5 times as expensive as what the lady told me on the phone was the average. They wanted to charge me over $300 per tooth just to remove the ones that are already 1/2 loose. I really wish they were more affordable because I would go with them. But I just can’t see paying for implants double what a brand new SUV costs.

Negative experience: I can't say what experience I may have had with this business, because I never got to go into the business. Even though I signed all my papers electronically and arrived 30 minutes early. I wasn't called inside to actually receive service until 2 hours and 30 minutes after my appointment time of 930am. Needless to say I had already made it back home when I got the call. Terrible experience, they did not value my time even though they asked me to show up early...to value their time.

It was an initial consultation in which he sat and spoke with me and listened to me and gave me his recommendations for what he felt was the best way to proceed with my dental needs and concerns. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kelly is awesome! He made me feel so comfortable. I was so nervous to have oral surgery and he made me feel at ease from that point on.
