Negative experience: ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️Absolutely terrible, please do not come to this dentistry, I've never seen dentist as terrible as this guy, words cannot express the horrible experience, the dentist scott is super rude and was aggressively yelling at me to stop when I was in physically horrible pain, my mouth had gotten an infection because of him and I was unable to eat for an entire week, I asked for medication and he didn't give me any, I had to go to another dentist to receive my medicine, after a few months the root canal tooth has pain after a few months, do not go and waste your money and time, if I could give 0 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: The people are awesome. I would not trust my teeth with anybody else! They always have my health in mind. Scott has been my dentist for over 5 years….

Negative experience: They told me I had 4 cavities they filled two went to another dentist and found out I didn’t have any cavities the cavity he fill are not so sensitive I can’t eat on my right side please be aware of this dentist get a second opinion please

Fantastic experience: Melissa is the best hygienist who has ever worked with me. I am one of those people who is scared to death of the dentist, even of the cleanings. But, she was gentle, thorough, and reassuring during my cleaning and that put me at ease. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. Because of her, I’ll keep going to this dentist every time I need work done.

I feel like a wimp sometimes and feel like I need more anesthesia than maybe others do but Dr. Cold is super nice about it and I've always felt comfortable letting him know what I need. I FINALLY found someone I feel like I can trust. I will continue to see him for life!

Negative experience: I had a very negative experience at this (Warm Family Dental). The doctors and staff were rude, communication was poor, and the work was not done properly. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for dental care.

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly, yet professional. I was concerned that because I’m on Medicaid I might be treated differently, however my concerns were alleviated on my first visit. They value your time, and don’t keep you waiting, always let you know of any out of pocket expenses up front. I have been completely happy with the outcomes from my dental procedures. Would recommend them to everyone!!!

Positive experience: Dr. Cold and his staff are super friendly and very good at providing a less stressful experience when it comes to dentistry. The office utilizes cutting edge technology to help them complete their jobs. I picked Warm Family Dentistry because they were on the list of providers my insurance accepts and on their website they mentioned the technological aspect and I'm glad that I did. The office is very good about communicating with multiple reminders for appointment times and even being able to communicate via text message. I had a pretty bad cavity that needed to be taken care of and ended up getting a crown. They are quite busy so appointments can be scheduled out quite far because they are a low income provider so they are very busy but I got lucky and was able to get all my dental needs done in 3 weeks. I will be continuing to use them for my dental needs. As a note the office is located on the 2nd floor of the building and the entrance is on the west side of the building. On my first visit I was kind of confused about where the entrance was located but I was able to find the door after walking around the building after not finding the entrance on the front part of the building where the rest of the businesses in this building are located.

Negative experience: The staff are some of the nicest people ever. Never been to a dentist office with a friendlier staff. 2 stars because of Dr. Cold. $250 to reattach part of my permanent retainer. No big deal, seems reasonable. About a week later, the same part comes undone. I contact the office, and they schedule me back in to reapply it. Once he applied it a second time, I told him that it was causing me discomfort and sitting unevenly. He said, "that's fine, you'll get used to it." Not a great interaction, but whatever. A few weeks later, the entire retainer falls out (I'd had this retainer in for 13 years, never had any problems). Once I go back to the office, Dr. Cold tells me he can reapply it. He lets his receptionist tell me that he wants another $250 to reattach it this time. In total, he wanted $500 out-of-pocket for shoddy work that was probably going to have to get fixed in a couple weeks anyway. I think a dentist should take responsibility for their errors, and I don't think this is the place for that. The rest of the team here really is great, can't say enough nice things about them.

Fantastic experience: Warm Family perfectly describes the atmosphere of this dental clinic. Dr Post and his assembled team are simply amazing!! Each visit to this office has left me awestruck. I have yet to feel any after-procedure discomfort; having had a tooth extraction, deep cleaning AND root canal. My heart felt appreciate to Dr. Post for developing such a highly-skilled, professional and caring practice!

Negative experience: Dr. Cold is by far the worst medical professional I've had the displeasure to work with. My experience at Warm Family Dentistry was traumatic, to say the least; I have yet to be able to allow someone to work on my teeth since seeing Dr. Cold. He never explained what he was doing before he did it, and I had made it clear that dental procedures give me anxiety. When having an anxiety attack during the procedure, he held my mouth shut without telling me what he was doing or why he was doing it. I couldn't breathe through my nose. I repeatedly moved my head so I could open my mouth and breathe, and each time he grabbed my lips and forced my mouth shut. I'm so grateful I had someone in the room with me during the procedure that told him to stop and leave the room after he continued to physically hold my mouth shut when I was trying to move away. When I emailed him about the incident and left my original review, he responded by saying that forcing a person to breathe through their nose by closing their mouth is standard practice to stop an anxiety attack that he was taught in medical school, and he promptly had my review removed from his Google page. How dare you try to take away my ability to share my experience with others, Dr. Cold. I'll certainly be back to leave another review if you do it again.

Fantastic experience: Warm family smiles is a great dental office tucked in a little stripe mall over in Taylorsville. Dr Cold is a great dentist and his team / staff is awesome!! They are a pay for service at the time of service dental office, for some people this is not always so good. But they're great at getting you right in for whatever you need. I cracked a tooth in half 3 days before my family reunion. They got me right in to put a temporary crown on.!!

Negative experience: My daughter had an emergency, they said they couldn’t see her. She had to go to an other dentist that help her better. They over charged always.

Negative experience: I am deeply disappointed with my experience today. I had an appointment at a dental office where I've been a patient since 2021. For convenience, I’ve always used a shorter version of my name, a practice I've maintained since middle school, as very few people are familiar with my longer name. Typically, I pay $40 for my visits, so I was caught off guard when the receptionist informed me that I have to pay nearly $400 today due to my lack of insurance. I immediately questioned why I wasn’t informed about this policy when I scheduled my appointment, but she was unable to provide a satisfactory answer. Then, she mentioned a monthly payment program where I could pay $40 each month, which allows for three cleanings and a 50% discount on other dental work. I expressed my willingness to enroll in this program, believing it would resolve my concerns. However, she then told me that because I was using a different name, I would have to pay the full fees for four months upfront, a stipulation that had not been communicated to me previously. I had taken time off work to attend this appointment, and I felt that the treatment I received there was unprofessional and, frankly, racially insensitive, especially considering my previous visits had not involved any such issues. I had also referred about six people to this practice based on the promotion they offered, only to find out that the deal might have been intended solely for first-time customers. There should have been clearer communication when I made the appointment, or at the very least, a phone call to inform me of the costs associated with my insurance status. Overall, the staff was quite rude and dismissive, which added to my frustration. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dental office to anyone. Their lack of professionalism and poor customer service has left me feeling disappointed and disheartened.

Negative experience: Dr. Cold physically held my mouth shut during a procedure while I was having an anxiety attack, and when I've described the incident to other medical professionals they've asked me if I felt like I was assaulted. I emailed Dr. Cold after the incident and he insisted that forcing a patient's mouth shut is standard practice that he was taught in medical school, but my last two dentists have ensured me that this is outdated and harmful practice. I have yet to be able to allow anyone to work on my teeth since seeing Dr. Cold, and the only work I've needed done since seeing Dr. Cold is to correct the fillings that he gave me. Dr. Cold is not a kind or caring medical professional. Get a second opinion before allowing him to do work on your teeth. Find someone that is kind and cares about your well-being. It may be "warm" family dentistry, but Dr. Cold is as cold as a Utah winter.

Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing experience with Warm Family Dentistry, and I want to share my story to help others avoid a similar situation.During a routine checkup, they performed X-rays and informed me that there was decay around one of my old fillings, which needed to be redone. Trusting their expertise, I agreed to have the filling replaced. However, after the procedure, I started experiencing significant pain in the tooth. I assumed it would subside with time, but unfortunately, it didn’t.After weeks of discomfort, I returned to the office, and to my surprise, they told me that the filling wasn’t going to help and that I actually needed a root canal. Even more frustrating, they claimed that they had informed me about this during my initial visit, which was completely untrue. At no point had they mentioned that a root canal was necessary—if they had, I wouldn’t have agreed to redo the filling in the first place.At this point, I was skeptical, so I sent the same X-rays to another dentist for a second opinion. The second dentist did not see any decay on the X-rays. I decided to switch to a new dentist who simply redid the filling, and I’m happy to report that the pain is completely gone without the need for a root canal.This experience has left me feeling misled and frustrated. I now realize the initial filling replacement was unnecessary and caused me avoidable pain and stress. I would strongly advise anyone considering this practice to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any major dental work.

When I was looking for a dentist 5 years ago I asked a frequent hotel guest who sells the latest dental equipment to offices in the west region who he would recommend in the SLC valley. Warm Family Dentistry was his answer. I have been going to Warm Family Dentistry for 5 years and referred many co-workers and friends because of the excellent care from Dr. Cold and the entire staff. They always have my best interest in mind with my treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cold and his office staff provide a comfortable atmosphere and really take the time to explain things to you and work with you to find the best treatment plan. Fantastic experience: The process was simple and quick, they explained everything for me to understand. Staff is kind and very personable would recommend for anybody needing dental services.

Negative experience: AWFUL! They billed my insurance 7 months after the service. The insurance declined it because it was so far past the service date. They denied it. I paid $500 up front and they say I still owe $82. If they had billed Medicaid in a timely manner I would have had a $0 bill. Absolutely the worst. Will be submitting a complaint to the BBB.

Fantastic experience: This was a very good dental experience! I needed a tooth extracted (short Notice) and Dr. Scott easily did this for me. Not only that the hygienist was great and gave me a nice dental cleaning to go with it beforehand. The prices were very fair and every staff member I had interactions with was very friendly and personable. All and all it was a great experience as far as dentists go. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing dental work and from what I understand they can also do more complex dental work that other dentists would generally need to refer out if that makes sense. Thanks guys!

Positive experience: The office staff, and Dr.Cold are all amazingly thorough. Dr.Cold has been helping me with an over bite correction, and I needed to do top and bottom expanders. He has made sure through the whole process that we did the least invasive steps as we could, and helped me see how my bite has changed. My only critique is that sometimes he can get behind with patients, and you will have to wait extra time before he can see you. Other than that I would recommend him for anyone who wants a dentist who is going to work with you, and help you as best he can along your dental journey.

He's a top-notch dentist that takes the time to research and be at a high level in dentistry and keep up on the new techniques. Dr. Cold is one of the smartest dentists I know. Not only does he know a lot about oral care and procedures but he knows a lot about health in general, more than most doctors.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Cold for over five years now. He has always been a fantastic dentist who uses the latest technology to make his patients comfortable and relaxed, including televisions in the ceiling and headphones for the patients. He also uses these really great wedge things to help you keep your jaw open that automatically sucks out the spit from the back of your throat so you never feel like you're drowning... I hate that feeling. I had a dental emergency the other day and he came in on a day he had scheduled off to take care of me. He really does care about his patients and his staff is literally the kindest group of people I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. The main receptionist is diligent in trying to get your insurance to pay as much as possible and the hygienists are chatty, personable, and gentle. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. They truly are a fantastic team!

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience here. I came earlier this year for my 6 month cleaning and check up. I had just moved down here so I needed a new dentist. I waited over an hour before getting taken back for my cleaning when I had an appointment. There were no updates or apologies for the absurd wait. The dental hygienist was very aggressive with the flossing causing me to flinch constantly and showed no empathy. Lastly, Dr.Cold is by far the worst dentist I have ever seen. Do NOT let this office tell you that you need work done. He told me I had 8 cavities, and that all my previous fillings needed to be replaced. When I mentioned that 8 cavities in 6 months seems like a lot he ignored me and when asked what was wrong with my fillings I had he told me that’s how fillings work. He also told me I had gingivitis (which I’ve never had). They quoted me over $600 for all that work with my insurance being in network. I went to White Peak Dental in Cottonwood Heights, and they are PHENOMENAL! They told me I only have one small cavity and that my filling are perfect and don’t have any issues so there is no need to do anything and I also don’t have gingivitis and not to worry because my gums are perfectly healthy. Dr.Cold is taking advantage of his patients, do not come here! I HIGHLY recommend WHITE PEAK DENTAL in Cottonwood Heights! (I’ve also noticed the Dr.Cold, he takes down his negative reviews so don’t let the good ratings fool you)

Negative experience: Disgusting, Vulgar and Unprofessional!!!! I met Dr. Cold and asked him about his practice. I told him I’m looking for a good dentist that does cleanings. I told him I was between insurance coverages and don’t have insurance at this time. He told me he has a cleaning special and to set an appointment. I called the office to set an appointment and explained I needed a good cleaning. When I showed up I asked for the cleaning and they said yes it takes about an hour. When the dental hygienist met me she told me about how good she is with twenty year’s experience. After 40 minutes of X-rays she tells me there’s no time for a cleaning and the Doctor came and did an examination. I asked him about my cleaning and he said and I quote ( a cleaning is like taking a good poop, you need to spread your legs 1st) I was shocked! How disgusting, vulgar and unprofessional. I got up paid and walked out. He’s nothing more than a used car salesman. Bait and switch. Good luck and be careful. I notified and submitted a complaint to the Utah dental association.

Negative experience: Today was the first appointment at the Taylorsville/Murray clinic with my 4 year old daughter and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. The receptionist did not show much patience with children and offered my daughter a ring in exchange for her cooperating with the procedures. My daughter was scared, she couldn't do what they expected and didn't get the ring, which caused tremendous inconvenience for us afterwards. We really couldn't get care there, they recommended another office more specialized in children. My frustration was having wasted time in a place that was not prepared to receive all types of children, as well as creating more stress for her.

Fantastic experience: All the staff was friendly especially Moonair! Dr. Cold was very professional and thorough and Moline did an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. I highly recommend this dental office.

Positive experience: We had two frenulectomies done here for our newborn. They were done well, but the office had us submit a claim to insurance instead of billing directly, giving us the impression that it should be covered. We had to submit a claim and it was denied, leaving us on the hook for $800. If we'd gone with a different provider that billed insurance directly, we could have saved hundreds of dollars. Also, on the phone they gave us a cost, but didn't make it clear that cost would be repeated if a lip frenulectomy was required in addition to a tongue frenulectomy.

Fantastic experience: Making an appointment was extremely easy, though you should do it on a computer as it's not 100% mobile friendly. Once I got to the office, everyone I interacted with was so kind, from reception to the hygienist and doctor. I'm grateful to have found a place that's so close to home and so efficient in their work!

Fantastic experience: I have a huge fear of the dentist. I absolutely love the staff here. They are truly Warm and inviting and I feel at ease at this dentist. They have grown to be like family to me and they remember details about me and my daughter.

Fantastic experience: I definitely got lucky with finding Warm Family Dentistry. I’ve been having TMJ issues and found the dentist closest to me to just get a consult and referral, and by coincidence, Dr. Cold is actually a TMJ specialist! At the consult, he and his staff whip up a personalized treatment plan for you. The technology they use is state of the art and thorough, and they are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable with years of experience under their belt. They don’t leave you in the dark either, especially if you have questions. Yeah, my teeth are jacked up, but I feel safe knowing I’m in good hands at WFD. Turns out you should NOT ignore your dental health! It’s important!

Fantastic experience: Dr Cold is a great dentist, everyone who works there is very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I had a root canal done a few years ago and was scared because of all the horror stories I've heard from people who have had them done, but mine was quite the opposite, I didn't feel a thing! Dr Cold always has the latest technology, I recently got 2 crowns done and he showed me the sweet new program that creates a 3d image of your mouth so that the crowns are made to fit perfectly. 100% recommend, have gotten my entire family to switch to them!

Fantastic experience: Really nice staff! Really kind doctor! The technology they use made it less painful and I felt they were really thorough. I still hate getting dental work but they made it better.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cold and his staff are always very friendly and kind, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Before starting any procedure, Dr Cold will explain the process and always ask if you have any concerns or questions before and after.

Negative experience: The receptionist and hygienist where great, friendly, and did a great job. The real issue is I got a bit suspicious after every time I went to get x rays I had cavities. The last time I went they found four more in the six months since my last x ray. Getting a second opinion my new dentist found none of the additional four cavities Dr Cold found. The last X Ray Dr. Cold did was 18 months ago. If he's finding cavities early, it's really REALLY early. I will update this review if these cavities show up in the future. In addition, I did have to replace two of the fillings that where put in by Dr. Cold because they fell out. These fillings where put in within the last three or four years. I'm not an expert, but I don't think that is normal. I would strongly recommend a 2nd opinion before getting any fillings done here. I feel like Dr Cold did a lot of extra work and that he actually caused damage to my teeth in the process. YMMV

Negative experience: Very dishonest dentist who does shoddy work. Lied about the estimate, lied about what he was going to do, caused an entire year’s worth of pain and multiple visits due to lousy work, and now after barely two years, one of the crowns fell off. And now had to have a root canal on the tooth that was so painful for so long. Should I send you the bill???

Fantastic experience: This clinic is amazing! I have been having the worst pain in my left back tooth. The doctor comes in to my chiropractic clinic & happened to be a dentist & told me to come in. Everyone is super sweet & I left knowing exactly what I need to do next to get myself out of pain. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Can’t say much about the services but make sure they schedule you at the right time before you plan your day out, and don’t expect any apologies if they screw up. As a potential new patient I wasn’t impressed. Good luck

Positive experience: The Dental Doctor was super nice & took good care of me when I went in. However the Front Desk Concierge is horrible! Be careful & make sure you review the charges. She had lied to me about my Insurance Company saying I went to another clinic to get service that’s why they didn’t pay so I called my insurance and they gave me a breakdown of what they paid. The charges she had didn’t add up! I confronted her on the phone & then of course she had an offset to the charge! I’m a very straight forward person so you could’ve told me that I was going to be charged for rescheduling my appointment instead of blaming my Insurance Company that they paid these services to a different Dental Carrier which wasn’t true! With that being said I won’t ever go back because I can’t trust her!
