Negative experience: A dentist that refuses to take responsibility for her and her offices mistakes. They screwed up I'm verifying the insurance and I ended up with no teeth. I told her I did not want all my teeth pulled and she finally convinced me and I'm not a dentist so I said okay. I was supposed to have implants and the insurance never verified it like they said it did. So I ended up with top dentures which never fit. The office would never return my call. The denture fitting was terrible. The doctor would not return any of my calls. I paid for gas for the procedure and when I started yelling in pain the dentist told me stop being a baby. Then the technician said oh I forgot to turn the gas on. No apology no nothing and I still got charged $108 for the gas. And yet still no response......

Fantastic experience: I really like this woman owned business, she makes me feel really relaxed. I have a high degree of anxiety at the dentist after a experiences years ago . However she is very personable has great stories. My dental hygienist was Amina Who was super sweet and super gentle with my initials cleaning. Her x-rays were painless! Go Amina ! They have a wide range of hours and are super flexible with our schedule! The best thing about this office is that they really put your Health of your teeth first before necessarily any cosmetic procedures or I guess you could say up selling ! She let me know that my mouth is perfectly healthy, and was the first doctor to tell me that my slight spacing was actually quite healthy for my teeth due my anatomy ! I felt really good about this assessment and I really trust her judgment so it was very well received. Thank you so much again for the service !!

Fantastic experience: I wish I had found her years ago. I could have saved a lot of my teeth. Thank God I found her before I lost them all. I'm a grinder, for years and years every dentist I'd see told me it was from stress and wouldn't do anything else to help me. She asked me questions regarding my sleep, explained that it could be sleep apnea. Advised me to talk to my Primary Dr. Now I can finally repair the teeth I've broken and save the rest. I'm taking my entire family to her now. I will not Ever see anyone else.

Negative experience: I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but after years of ongoing issues with this office, I feel it’s important to share our experience as a warning to others. Today’s interaction with Dr. Cadenza and her staff was deeply disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. What should have been a simple conversation about a billing concern turned into a public and uncomfortable situation. While discussing the issue in the lobby, staff spoke about us within earshot of other patients, and even other clients became involved with inappropriate comments. No patient or parent should ever be put in that position. The concern itself is straightforward: my daughter, who is a minor, was given a mouthwash product without my knowledge or consent and without any clear explanation that it was an additional cost. This product was later billed at over $20, and then provided again at a subsequent appointment with an expectation of payment—again without prior discussion with me as the parent. I was also told a payment link had been sent, which I never received. As a parent, I expect to be informed and involved in any recommendations, especially when they involve added costs or products being given to my child. That did not happen here. When I raised this concern, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior. Dr. Cadenza addressed me in front of other patients and made inaccurate and inappropriate claims about my parenting, including stating that I leave my daughter unattended and am unreachable—both of which are completely untrue. Being spoken to this way in a public setting was humiliating and unnecessary. To make matters worse, as I was leaving, there was laughter from the front desk and a patient, and upon returning briefly, I overheard further discussion about us. This felt incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. We have paid for services, including braces, in full and have always met our financial obligations. This is not about avoiding payment—it’s about transparency, communication, and basic respect. Recommending and dispensing products to a child without parental consent is not appropriate practice. Additionally, the lack of flexibility regarding refunds, even in light of these concerns, leaves families feeling stuck in a situation that does not feel supportive or professional. We have done everything recommended including her myobrace plan which was her approach but not required and we have also never left bills unpaid— we didn’t opt for payment plans and paid braces in full. I would think clients like this are valuable and to treat them with valid respect — we also live in the day and age of cell phones. I am never not available for my children’s needs if I was not right at the desk when my daughter was given something for her mouth — which she was given this while in the actual procedure and chair — so again to suggest a parent must sit right there during a tightening or cleaning— that is ridiculous. That is what lobbies and front desk waiting areas are for and you should know better than to ever accuse a parent of not being attentive or present. How would she get there how would she be picked up? All of the interactions were pointless and it’s not justifiable to accuse and gas light a parent when they simply bring a valid point to not hanging over a product like medical mouth wash without telling a parent why it’s needed and the coats and that is basic respect. A negative review is not how I wish to spend my day nor my character as a whole but being mocked laughed at accuses of not attending toy daughter and even told I was nowhere to. E found is something I will never tolerate and and sis not answer any questions we had nor actually discuss any responsibility of giving a child products that they need to pay for. Sending a payment link is also a sideways practice. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice. Families deserve clear communication, respect, and professionalism—none of which we experienced today.

Negative experience: If you’re coming here for a ROUTINE cleaning, be AWARE that most insurances will NOT cover the 2D Oral/facial photographic images, which is them taking photos of your mouth with a big camera. I got a surprise out-of-pocket bill of $100 after coming here for an “in-network” routine cleaning that I expected to be fully covered by my insurance. I feel it’s UNETHICAL of this practice to charge me for these images when other dental practices only take photos to educate patients of any dental problems and they do it for free. I have no dental issues to address and was confused why they took photos of me without even explaining its purpose. Patients should have the right to refuse this service and be informed of its costs in case their insurance doesn’t cover it. I feel tricked and I will NOT return. Additionally, the assistant who did my X-rays almost had me bite on a mouth piece used by a previous patient. They didn’t even change their gloves when they replaced the old mouth piece with a new one. They also gave me dirty protective glasses with gross water splatters to wear during my cleaning. I do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion that I received today from Cindy and her staff. I'm working through general anxiety and lots of dental phobia from childhood problems. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a crown fall off that was put on by another dentist. I called for an emergency appointment and they were able to get me in the same day and take care of it. I highly recommend this office to anyone they always do a great job.

Fantastic experience: I had several fillings done and was comfortable the whole time

Negative experience: Painful complications requiring steroids, antibiotics, pain meds, and a root canal followed my crown procedure with Dr. Sumarauw in Dec. 2023. Another dentist in California who I saw to treat these complications asked me why my gums looked like "hamburger" following Dr. Sumarauw's work. In Dec. after doing my crown she sent me home with a bite that was off and even when I returned the next day to have her fix it, it still wasn't adjusted correctly. After developing severe jaw and joint pain I needed to see another dentist as well as an endodontist several times to fix her work and treat my complications, resulting in thousands of dollars for me out-of-pocket. When I reached out to Dr. Sumarauw multiple times in early 2024 via telephone, email and FedEx (with signature confirming receipt) to update her on my condition following her treatment and asking her to please call me, there's been radio silence. In Dr. Sumarauw's waiting room she has a sign 'jokingly' (?) stating that if a patient whines there will be an extra charge. Sadly my experience with this dentist seems that it's no joke and is perhaps indicative of Dr. Sumarauw's disregard for her patients' pain and health.

Fantastic experience: This review is based on my first visit. I had been looking for the right dentist for a few years. I have severe claustrophobia and dental anxiety that causes hypersensitivity to the entire experience. I absolutely dread it!! So, I decided to search out a highly qualified female dentist. As a clinician myself, I am often told how calm and comforting my bedside manner is, so I sought out these qualities in a dentist. I came across Dr. Sumarauw on Google. I was impressed with her credentials and experience, as well as her passion for dentistry. I also appreciated her interest and utilization of advanced technology. Between the Google reviews and the acceptance of my insurance, it helped solidify my decision to call. I'm super glad that I did! She is really kind and her energy is calming. I had the most thorough dental evaluation, perhaps ever. My concerns were addressed and she answered all of my questions, which will assist in making informed decisions moving forward. As a side note for other claustrophobic patients, there are large windows and tall ceilings:)

Forget fancy lobbies and freshly baked cookies, go to the dentist who cares and will do the best job! Don't get distracted by shiny objects as I did in the past... It is no wonder Dr. Sumarauw is one of the highest ratest dentists (4.9)!

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about going back to the dentist while covid19 is still an issue, but I went in and I noticed that the doctor had installed HEPA filter air purifiers on either side of the patient chair. The doctor and the hygienists all wore masks and there was plexiglass in the front office. I hadn’t been back in two years, and it feels great to have had the tartar scraped off of my teeth! If you’re nervous about going into the dentist during the pandemic, this office will put you at ease. I wish I had gotten an appointment with Dr. Sumarauw sooner!

Fantastic experience: I have always had a great experience at Cadenza. Wonderful dentist! I just had a major filling replaced that was very old and chipping. She did a great job and it looks very good. I am still numb, but she used a lot so I wouldn't be in pain. Always glad to go here!

Fantastic experience: wow, what a great experience! definitely a 5 star... vibrating massage chair and a comedy on netflix helped my jitters after the news and view of a cavity, so close to nerve a root canal possibility was pending.. quick, painless numbing calmed my needle phobia. Soon we were all laughing (which isnt easy with a drill in ones mouth) i was able to witness on the screen the actual tooth ready for filling. Good news, no root canal needed! Good job dear doctor and assistants! even the price was painless. my mouth feels You did it again, Cadenza -professional perfection.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to wait to write a review until after my second appointment. My 5 year old daughter and I had our first appointment at Cadenza about a month ago. They were all so sweet and welcoming. I was nervous how my daughter would react but she had the best time and was even asking when she would get to go back as we were walking out. I had to return for a second appointment to get a couple fillings and 2 wisdom teeth extracted. I am so glad that the dentist listened to me when I told her I have a high tolerance for numbing medications. She took all the necessary steps to make sure I was indeed completely numb before the procedure. I was awake for the entire thing and it went by so quickly and smoothly. I didn't feel a thing! I was pretty nervous going in but she made me feel very comfortable and tried to make it all as painless as possible, and she succeeded. Even though there was a small hiccup with the scheduling, I never want to go anywhere else again. Would give 10/10 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: Going into my appointment today I was feeling very uneasy about how my broken crown (front tooth) could ever be fixed. When I was called into the back I was greeted with friendliness and professionalism. Dr. Sumarauw went over my records throughly with me and explained the details to start the repair. Surprisingly, for me I felt minimal pain from injections and the procedure went very well.

I had two fillings done today for the first time, and the hygienist was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. They served coconut water to me before my appointment started, and the dental chair also was a massage chair! I even was asked what I wanted to watch on Netflix during my appointment. Negative experience: This review has nothing to do with their cleaning or any of their dental procedures. I never had a problem with any of that. Unfortunately, their billing dept made a mistake and told me: "I had deductible money left before the year ends". "Let's take advantage of that!"...Familiar with them saying that to you? Well, it happened to me. I went with it and took "advantage of it". Big big mistake. I shouldn't have trusted them saying that. Why? Well, because I didn't have deductible money left. And now I got a bill in the mail from them saying I owe $381.78. I paid my share on every appointment I ever had with them and let the insurance do their part. But no. Apparently now I am the only one responsible for this, not then taking any fault and I have to pay the bill. Frustrating part is that i was never told any of this and I had to find out with a bill on the mail. And when i called them to ask why I wasn't offered any type of help on how to fix this. Pretty much I have to pay it period it's what i was told.
