Experiencia fantástica: I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lemieux and his staff! I initially saw Dr. Lemieux because I have two teeth that have no permanent teeth (while in my late 40’s). Dr. Lemieux medical stance was conservative (which I appreciated) and rather than removing both baby teeth and placing two implants he suggested I only treat the tooth that “needs” to be removed and suggested I continue to monitor my second baby tooth until treatment is needed. Dr. Lemieux is not only a wonderful Doctor (smart, knowledgeable, competent, etc) he also is compassionate, kind, positive, patient, fun and made sure to explain everything to me in addition to answering all my questions. The staff in the front and back office are also helpful, friendly and prompt with answering phone calls and questions. Following my implant being placed - the office sent flowers to my home, which was a wonderful, unexpected surprise! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Lemieux and office and plan to see him as needed for any future dental needs.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my second visit to AZ Max. I thought my first visit was over the top and a great experience. My second visit was just as wonderful. Starting with my pre-appointment reminders and an explanation of what to expect on my visit. Desiree, the patient care specialist kept me informed of the procedure and how to prepare for the visit. Upon arrival, I was so impressed by the wonderful lady at the front desk, I think her name was Jenn B. She greeted me by my first name, making me feel welcomed and appreciated. This first impression set the pace for the rest of the visit. I was taken to a private room where Jake, the surgical assistant explained the procedure to me in detail. He was very well versed, empathetic and listened and answered all my questions. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Lemieux came into the room and explained the procedure to me again. There were other assistants in the room as well setting up the monitors, and making me feel calm and relaxed. The procedure went better than I expected. I am recovering well and would recommend Dr. Lemieux and his team to anybody needing professional, caring dental surgery. On a scale of one to ten, I give Dr. Lemieux of AZ Max, and his team a well deserved 12. Great job, and I look forward to my next visit. Antonio Alvarado

Experiencia negativa: After my recent visit to Dr. DJ Lemieux I feel compelled to share my experience. My dentist convinced me I needed to remove my front tooth & replace crowns due to an “infection “ after a routine dental cleaning at which time I had no problem or pain. She wanted me to go directly to DJ her friend/surgeon. He did 3-D imaging and concluded that absolutely the tooth should be removed & it was also necessary to do a bone graft. They both insisted the tooth couldn’t be saved he then prescribed painkillers & antibiotics for an infection. He quoted a price totaling close to $8,000. He didn’t review x-rays with me at that time. Later that week I made the decision to return to my endodontist for another opinion something didn’t feel quite right. The endodontist had previously worked on that particular tooth. He had to do 3-D imaging again and his findings were nothing wrong with that tooth or its previous root canal. He reviewed the x-rays with me & my husband. His findings were quite the opposite of what I was being told. Thank God I got the opinion of a Dr. with integrity. It’s my opinion that Dr. DJ Lemieux is lacking ethical integrity. Please be careful if you choose this Dr. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Having work done on a front tooth can be really stressful, but Dr. Lemieux took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood the plan moving forward. He also recommended a dentist who is amazing and communicates with him regularly, which really gave me confidence that my care is well coordinated. Experiencia fantástica: I was recommended to Dr. Lemieux by my orthodontist to extract an extra “tooth” and bond a chain to pull down the adult tooth, a procedure I have been dreading since 7th grade. My consultation was excellent as he answered all my questions and actually seemed to care, on the day of my day of my appointment everything went smooth on my end and my healing has gone well. I appreciate the whole team at AZ Max as well as they are all very kind and professional.

Friendly greeting by the receptionist when I walked in the door...the oral surgeon assistant was completely knowledgeable in all facets of the proceedure...she tool all of the required photos, x-rays & scans in preparation for the doctor...He came in when everything was in place and went over in detail all of the options, procedures and possible other needed work in anticipation with my procedure...he and the rest of his office staff were understanding that it might take me awhile to schedule things...as I recently relocated to Queen Creek with my wife for her job and I have several other items to attend to as well...i.e. getting all new doctors and dentists...getting a referral to a surgeon for my umbilical hernia et al...at any rate...I love this doctor and love this office...I can't wait to have this work done...and done properly...I feel like that will happen with Dr. Lemieux and his staff...there does NOT appear to be a weak link among the bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!

He recently did several extractions for my husband in preparation of implants. The extractions were done under sedation, and Dr Lemieux' team were efficient and pleasant with their assistance and follow-up. On the day of surgery, the process was quick and painless. The follow up instructions I got were clear, and now that things are pretty much all healed up and done, I can say that everything went as smoothly as I could possibly ask for.

Experiencia negativa: Referred by another dentist for a consult. Front office was friendly, but I just got a weird vibe with the back office staff. Their fees were more than 2 times what I've paid for my other two children who had more complex wisdom tooth removals and I was going to have an out of pocket with 2 dental insurance plans (that have healthy yearly allowances). I ended up not going with them and then found out the billed my primary insurance and received payment, charged me for the consult/xray, and then submitted the bill to my secondary telling them first insurance didn't pay. This doesn't sit right with me. I only found when out because I was receiving my estimate EOBs for the office doing the procedure and started digging, so my recommendation would be to watch your statements closely.

Originally, I was told I’d need a bone graft, then 4 months later I’d get a post which would take another 4 months before I’d be able to get a crown. Dr. Lemieux was confident he could cut that time in half and do a great job and he was right! This is the second time this year I’ve had to get a tooth pulled and replaced due to basketball (wear a mouth guard please). This whole process has been tough, but Dr. Lemieux made it as short and easy as possible, and I couldn't be more appreciative. Thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Lemieux was friendly, informative and punctual. Very much enjoyed our consult with him and his staff and look forward to a successful wisdom teeth removal. We have since had the surgery and everything was very smooth. Went right in to surgery and within an hour we were walking out the door. The doctor and staff was courteous and friendly. We felt very comfortable and in good hands. The recovery has gone great. Step by step instructions were given and easy to follow. We received a check up call and appreciated the care. Experiencia fantástica: While Dr. Lemieux never promised it would be 100% smooth, he did promise he would take good care of me. And that, he did. The real test of character of a good Doctor is not that the procedure goes perfectly, it's how does that Surgeon or Doctor show that they care, when it does NOT go perfectly, or as expected? Dr. Lemieux went above and beyond for me in order to lessen my fears and met me in his office with a staff member on a Friday that the whole staff was out of office, because I was in pain and experiencing some concerning symptoms. He made sure to address my fears, concerns, and helped me feel better wifh what he could see and do that day. He made sure to always follow up and have a next visit set up just to make sure he followed up and that i was ok. By Monday morning, at my follow up appointment after the weekend, the condition and pain worsened, and Dr. Lemieaux suggested I get to the hospital where he could still be my Doctor. I felt very cared for by Dr. Lemieaux over the next 4 days as he and the hospital staff helped me heal thru the complications. You are truly a class act, Dr. Lemieaux, thank you for the care and your attentiveness to something so painful and sensitive. I appreciated your humanness and your approach to care, snd just because this was routine for you, thank you for remembering it isn't to the rest of us. I appreciated you taking care of me and I'm grateful I'm on the correct road of recovery now!

They were very professional, thorough, kind and compassionate. I received a check up from the office after my procedure and when I had questions after hours they were committed to meeting my needs. Experiencia fantástica: AZ Max is a awesome place to go for orthodontic work. Dr. Lemieux is a great doctor. He had my broken wisdom tooth out in a few minutes. Very little pain afterwords and no swelling. The staff was very professional and caring. I had 2 wisdom teeth removed at AZ Max in the last 3 years with the same results. Great place!!!

Experiencia fantástica: The reception was impecable. All the staff was friendly and with a great attitude. The doctor's assistant was amazing, and knowledgeable. Dr. Lemieux took the time to explain to me my situation and alternative solution; he prescribed antibiotics and a mouthwash. I'm looking forward to my followup appointment. Overall: great experience!
