Experiencia negativa: I am leaving this review a year too late but only because I wanted to wait and see if Dr. Jenny’s diagnosis was actually right. I went to see her for the first time after not going to the dentist for a few years and, after taking my x-rays, she appeared visibly concerned and told me I have periodontitis and bone loss which can’t be reversed. She was overall very nice but I wish she had been more gentle in breaking this news to me. Since she wasn’t and I was unconvinced, I decided to go for a second opinion. I can’t begin to describe the relief I felt when I was told I don’t have periodontitis and there was no bone loss by another doctor. I have been going for my regular visits with this new doctor and my gums are doing much better due to his consideration and care. I waited this long to see if my issue gets worse or something happens to show Dr. Jenny was right but nothing has happened. I suggest everyone go to an office that cares about their feelings and does what they can to put them through the least amount of pain and hassle. This one isn’t it.

Experiencia negativa: This started as a 5 star review and I don’t typically update my reviews but I felt it was important to share my experience. I initially chose this dental office because of its location and was hopeful after my first visits for 2 cleanings and cavity filling. However, things quickly became frustrating and disappointing. I was interested in starting Invisalign and we did the scans and got all the way to the point of discussing payment after I applied for care credit. When I asked for the 12-month financing option, they only offered 6 months. The case was expected to be 8 months and Invisalign said the dentist determines the plan period. Shortly after this, I was told they were canceling my case entirely, claiming it was “too difficult” for them to handle—even though this wasn’t mentioned during the consultation or scan. My teeth are straight, I just have one tooth that bothers me and want a bonded retainer. To make things worse, they told me in multiple emails (included) that I can do their in-house membership plan, which led me to cancel my dental insurance during open enrollment. When I called back to schedule my cleaning appointment, I was told they no longer offer that membership due to inflation, leaving me in a difficult position with no coverage. This plan is still advertised on their website… Overall, I felt misled and let down. Communication was inconsistent, and the experience left me feeling like I had to start all over again somewhere else. Fortunately, I found another office that was honest, professional, and transparent about my case.

I started my implant treatment, but my treatment was terminated abruptly when I was asked to leave the clinic and told to find a new dentist to complete the treatment after I questioned the charge for a service that the clinic had previously assured me would be free of charge. I would advise caution when dealing with Cornerstone Dental Of Mahwah due to potential issues with billing and communication. On a more positive note, I was fortunate to find a new dentist who has been a game-changer for me. They have taken over my treatment with kindness, expertise, and a genuine concern for my well-being. Experiencia negativa: This is an additional post after a few years of being Dr Chas patient. She is a good dentist but her office policies regarding appts are horrible. I had an appt in Jan and on the morning of, tested positive for Covid. I canceled the appt right away and they said they will call me back for appt - NEVER did. I called THEM to make an appt a month later. We had the big storm Tues 2/13 so I left a message that I wanted to reschedule my 2/15 appt. Never called me back. I called morning of 2/15 to say I can still make my appt and she said we gave your appt away. I asked how come nobody called me to confirm/reschedule and she said well we just gave it away, sorry. They wouldn’t even let me make another appt, said they will “call me back”. Well I guess they don’t want me back as a patient. Just FYI for all patients out there.

Experiencia negativa: I am appalled at whomever the male receptionist is at this office. My husband and I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new dental office. Based on the google reviews, I was sure this looked like the right place. I scheduled us two appointments for this week (myself, tomorrow at 11am and my husband's appointment Thursday at 6pm). Unfortunately, life happens and although I did not owe the office a reason for needing to cancel my 11am appt tomorrow (especially since I made sure to call and cancel prior to 24 hours) and that I'd like to take my husbands Thursday night appt - therefore hoping to make him an appt at a later date... I was interrogated multiple times as to why I needed to make these switches. After being questioned, (which point blank I continuously explained my car wound up unexpectedly needing to go in for service this weekend and this worked better for our schedules with now only one vehicle) - the receptionist got quite loud with me saying my husband had confirmed last week through a text that he would be at his appt. In which I explained over and over again, yes - but things have changed - can I please take his appt and cancel mine? NO! The receptionist screamed, if that is the case both appointments must be canceled. I argued that this made no sense - so you would rather lose two new potential lifetime clients versus me take his Thursday night appt and I would like to make an appt for him at a later date? This receptionist was belligerent - as he YELLED this is a medical office and these are our policies and if my husband wanted his appt canceled he needed to call himself. Talk about being difficult before even walking through the door. I don't know what kind of operation you're running over there Dr. Jenny, but find new people to answer your phones.
