Experiencia fantástica: Using nitrous oxide to have your teeth cleaned makes the whole experience 90% more enjoyable. And having a topical numbing solution applied prior to all the scraping…recommended. Didn’t feel a thing on my cleaning and once they finished, I felt totally relaxed and de-stressed. They should have 45 minute, nitrous meditation appointments with calming headphone music and maybe a tooth polish only. I’d probably go once a week.

On top of being a clean environment with high quality equipment, the doctors, assistants, hygienists, and front office staff have gone above and beyond getting me scheduled and making me feel comfortable working with my dental health journey. I showed up on the wrong day and was expecting to get turned away, instead the hygienist that was supposed to have a break stayed just to fit me in the schedule. This meant the world to me considering i had to jump through some hoops to get there on what i had mistaken as the right day. I’m so grateful to the hygienist for doing this for me. I live in west Boise and the drive is well worth it to me. As someone who doesn’t have dental insurance i also appreciate their in-office monthly dental plan and discount, which you bet i signed up for!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a practicing general dentist for 37 years and have completed restorative treatments for hundreds of my patients which we would in simple terms call a smile make over. I recently had this treatment done for me by Dr. Evan Hathaway. It was absolutely the best dental experience I have ever had! Dr. Hathaway is an expert in IV/IM Sedation. I felt absolutely nothing/ nor was I aware of anything. I woke up in time to check my bite with the temporary restorations. The temporary restorations were exceptional and comfortable. The final restorations have now been placed, and I love my smile! While the laboratory was fabricating my restorations, I went to the lab to talk to the expert technician regarding my case and specific materials. I examined my dental models, and was in awe at the tooth preparations performed by Dr. Hathaway. In all my years of practicing dentistry I have never seen such exceptional preparations. I can truly say that "Dr. Hathaway is a dentist's dentist. I just want to say thanks to Dr Hathaway and to Wendy and Suzie his talented clinical assistants. Experiencia fantástica: I have never been a fan of visiting a dentist - after a four year hiatus my wife found Time to Smile for me to visit for some long overdue dental work. After checking in with the gals at the front desk I was greeted by Wendy who took me down the hall to meet Dr Hathaway. Upon completion of an inspection of my not so pearly whites, X-rays were ordered. Then came the diagnosis and prognosis! Dr Hathaway very gently but firmly told me what he thought should be done about a loose tooth, a broken molar, a serious deep cleaning and some root canals. He and Wendy put together a program of three separate visits to clean up the mess I had brought to their very capable hands. Due to my personal schedule in the coming 90 days with trips to Mexico, Georgia and San Diego already on my calendar, these folks bent over backwards to fit me into their schedule for two of the three suggested procedures - The third will happen after a healing process from the first. I am taking full advantage of Dr Hathaways abilities to sedate me during these procedures and the first of three was conducted this past week in a four hour session that I have no recollection of because of the sedation and came away with a bit of swelling and nothing more! I cannot express the feelings of comfort that I have towards Dr Hathaway, his staff and his professionalism when addressing my particular situation. He’s a great guy, Wendy is terrific and Becky at the front counter has been very accommodating fitting me in for my appointments. If anybody asks, I will tell them to be sure to see the team at Time to Smile!

Experiencia fantástica: If you are looking for a Dentist or Hygienist, this is the place. My wife worked in a Dental office in Denver for years, and I know the business fairly well. Like most people, I want good value. But the most important factors in a Dentist for me are quality work, attention to detail, and integrity. I think everyone wants to be able to trust their Doctor and Dentist. I feel like I won the Dentist lottery when I found the Dentists, assistants, and hygienists at Time to Smile Dental in Eagle. Dr. Hathaway and Dr. Pelletier are both excellent. They've both worked on my teeth, the end result has always been as good or better than I expected. Most recently, Dr. Hathaway did ten new crown veneers on my upper teeth. A few decades ago, an orthodontist in Dallas literally destroyed my teeth by removing all the enamel from the back sides of my teeth to make them fit. At the time as a patient, I had no idea that he ruined my teeth. But now, years later, I needed to make things look and feel better. I couldn't be happier with my new veneers. Not only do they look amazing, but they feel so good in my mouth. I honestly believe dentistry is an art, and Dr. Hathaway is exceptional at his craft. I have also been so impressed with the rest of the staff there. My most recent work has required lengthy visits that included sedation and extensive work. Dr. Hathaway's assistant, Suzy, always goes out of her way to make sure I'm comfortable and makes me feel completely at ease. Suzy's skill, combined with her singular manner, made all the difference during my multiple hour procedures. My regular cleanings have been thorough and easy. The front office staff are friendly, helpful, and always accommodating to get me scheduled. They are willing to appeal decisions from my insurance company and fight for me to get the maximum benefit possible. That kind of effort tells you just how committed they are to providing excellent care. I've called outside office hours with tooth pain, and heard back from the office almost immediately. I suppose this review is a tad long, but I can't recommend them enough. Seriously, five stars. Don't waste your time anywhere else! Update experience with Doctor Hathaway, and his unmatched staff today with my implant: I really can’t say enough on how comfortable they make you feel. Both physically and mentally. Which is a big deal when you’re having an implant, or other major procedure. From arrival, to departure ( of which I have no recollection) it’s like I didn’t even know anything was done. My pain/discomfort afterwards is minimal. Much less than I anticipated. Dr. Hathaway, Suzy, and everyone else are true experts. Six stars out of five!!

Experiencia negativa: I had a deeply terrorizing and emotionally distressing experience at Time To Smile Dentistry. During a recent visit, I was told I needed a resin filling, despite never having any pain or discomfort in the area. I asked for clarification on the diagnosis and treatment plan but was met with hostility from Sarah, the office manager when she called me today as opposed to the dentist calling me. She was abusive and disrespectful, aggressively raised her voice, spoke over me, and refused to provide any clear answers. When I asked to speak directly with the dentist, she became even more aggressive and ultimately hung up on me—twice. Her tone was so violently hostile that I was left feeling terrorized; my heart was racing and remains affected by the emotional stress she caused. When I asked Sarah to ask the Dentist for a comparison between the latest periodontal probing/x-rays and my previous ones from a few years ago, the request was dismissed. I asked basic questions like how decay is removed and whether a deep periodontal cleaning would be done before a filling, and Sarah could not answer. Even more troubling, it appears that the dentist is relying on dental assistants or other staff to communicate with patients and explain treatment plans—responsibilities that legally and ethically should be handled by a licensed dentist. When I requested a written explanation of the diagnosis and proposed treatment, Sarah said, “No patient ever asks for that,” and refused to provide it or allow the dentist to provide it either. This practice showed a total lack of professionalism, transparency, and patient care. I am considering a formal complaint to the Idaho State Board of Dentistry and cannot recommend this office to anyone who values clear communication, accountability, and respectful treatment.

Experiencia positiva: Revising my initial review which had been good (leaving 3 stars for that - only) while I was an insured patient - have to bump them down to 3 because now that I am uninsured found it VERY surprising that after having my mouth ruined while in Mexico (teeth literally moving - it has been the most traumatic experience in my life) I was refused a complimentary consultation. If you end up doing any "work" with them - they'd apply the consult fee to it.... but if I don't know what their quote is... how would I possibly know if I would want to do the work there (w/o insurance - of course cost is a huge factor)? I requested an exception as I had multiple cleanings there while insured and was still told no.. I get it - the Dentist is good and they have a lot of customers - but other highly rated practices DO give complimentary consultations (which included multiple images and an hour of time - I did have 2 such appointments as well as 2 FREE orthodontic exams). VERY Disappointing - to say the least. (No need to reply - this is all very self explanatory / black and white).

The staff is also top notch. It was so nice to see smiling faces at the front desk and they are so good at what they do. The dental assistants are the best! I loved getting to know them a bit. They did all they could to make me comfortable and help me understand the process. The warm fuzzy blanket during my procedures were such a nice touch! Thank you Time To Smile Dental!!

Experiencia fantástica: I'm almost ashamed to share this, but if helps even one person then it's worth it! I haven't been to the dentist to have a cleaning or much needed dental work in over 20 years. I know, I know, disgusting. But in my defense who wants to go to the dentist and be tortured? All of my experiences since childhood have been the worse moments in my life which caused an unhealthy fear of. And add to that the hate hate relationship and I have with metal and that takes it even next level. Now looking back I think it was probably more the metals fault then the actual dentist, so I'm probably not being very fair to the dentist themselves, but still. Seriously though, I am extremely super sensitive to metal and if it slightly touches my teeth whoa it zings my entire body in not a good way! Even if I touch a metal with my hands that's too strong it goes through my entire body as well. So you can imagine why I hate the dentist office cause that's all they use, but knowing I had an issue with my tooth I was at a point if having no choice but to go. My search started for a dentist that would be patient and understanding and thank God I found Dr Hathaway at Time To Smile. Based on his reviews I just knew I had to give them a chance. Im proud to say I didn't cancel, I showed up, and I actually walked in the doors and was greeted by the friendliest staff ever. I met with his assistant who had the sweetest loving nature. She went above and beyond to make me as comfortable as possible and when I met Dr Hathaway it was just the cherry on top. He knew of my sensitivity and used an actual long q-tip to do my exam. Once we found out all the work that needed to be done including my deep cleaning we scheduled an appointment where I would be sedated. I felt like this was exactly what I needed and so grateful for having this option. Day of appointment all I remember is taking my pill and getting ready to go and next waking up at home nice and comfy in bed! You need someone to take care of you, but other than that, can you imagine not having to suffer though having a cleaning or dental work? They did everything I needed and I couldn't be happier. It was the best experience of my life especially because I didn't have to experience it at all! I'm so so grateful and feel blessed by Dr Hathaway and his team. I will scream from the rooftops of how amazing he is and will recommend him to everyone! Thank you Dr Hathaway for being so kind, patient, empathetic, and understanding of patients like myself, I know how much you care and how much you wanted to help give me the best dental health possible.

As a first-time patient who needed a crown, they made absolutely sure I was as comfortable as possible during the procedure, even taking extra time to make sure I was pain free and clearly explaining every step to me. It was also a pleasure to interact with Dr. Pelletier, Wendi, and Leah on a personal level. Also, the office is very nice with a quiet and peaceful feel to it. I have a follow up appointment in two weeks and I'm kinda looking forward to it. How many times can you say that about a visit to the dentist???

Edit: third appointment as I need 20+ years worth of work done. I seriously avoided the dentist due to so many bad expiriances, these guys are great. I am using gas, and a little help from my primary doc for anxiety. But I am not crying on the way there and feel like next appointment I will try with just the nitrus... if you have ptsd, phobia, anxiety for dental thisbis the place to be. Everyone cares and wants you to feel comfortable and ok with what is happening. Highly reccomend.
