I was nervous about taking our toddler to the dentist, but they have created such a fun, safe space. So grateful to have found them! My daughter asked if she could go back to the dentist after our most recent visit because it was such a positive experience. We are happy to drive the hour each way for appointments! Both Dr. Kimi and Dr. Diana follow up after certain visits to make sure that everything is feeling okay at home. They are the best!

He is in Los Angeles and usually refers us to places by him, so we were very happy that Pure Smiles is less than a mile away from our home! My son's tongue tie procedure went well, they truly cared about his wellbeing every step of the way. Both of my kids feel very comfortably with the dentists at this office. The front desk staff are also really kind and helpful just as the dentists and dental techs! If you're interested in a holistic approach to your oral health and to be educated on the clean products to use, this is the place to go!

The staff working the front office to the dental assistant Katie, everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, which made a huge difference for my kids. And can’t forget to mention Dr. Diana. She was phenomenal! One of the best care providers I’ve dealt with as a parent! She took time to explain everything in a calm, kid-friendly way and made sure my 6 and 9 year old felt comfortable throughout their entire visit. She was very knowledgeable and super engaged with the girls. The office was clean, organized, and clearly designed with children in mind. My kids actually left smiling and saying they weren’t scared to come back—which says a lot! We’re so grateful to have found a dentist we trust for our family and highly recommend this office to other parents.

Experiencia fantástica: We just saw Dr. Diana on Monday. She pulled my son's crown as his adult tooth was growing in and the crown wasnt falling out. The staff that assisted her and Dr .Diana were very kind. Dr. Diana even called us later in the evening to see how my son was doing with his extraction. We enjoy coming to Pure Smiles. It is a far drive for us but I feel comfortable in knowing that the staff is very caring.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very bad experience with Pure Smiles clinic and wanted to leave a review for a while now. I brought my child for a tooth extraction and I was given paperwork to sign with approximate amount I need to pay. It was around $600 which is expensive but not too bad. You can imagine my surprise when I got a bill for another $675!!! What they do is actually very tricky business - give paperwork for you to sign with some random numbers so you are OK with the procedure and then you will receive another bill. When I say random - I mean absolutely made up numbers. Nobody ever called to check with my insurance and nobody gave me real numbers for the procedure. I was charged for a space maintainer that costs $550 and it fell out after only FIVE days! My kid didn’t even eat anything the first day and didn’t chew on that side at all. So yes, I’m very disappointed of this shady behavior. I must say I’d consider paying full price anyway even knowing I’m out of network if only they would told me clearly “here is your total, your insurance might not cover anything”. But they gave me a document that showed what my estimate is and I was under impression they checked with my insurance and this is what I need to pay out of pocket. When your child is in pain you don’t have time to read all 20 pages of “hidden” costs.

Pure Smiles approaches her care with function in mind taking into account her airway, overall health, oral health in terms of cavities and orthodontics. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind and we love Pure Smile so much we commute from outside the city!!

Dr Diana was so positive and kind despite the cavities in my kids mouths. It’s great having a dentist that I can truly trust when she recommends work because I know it in fact necessary because she was way more conservative than the traditional dentist we first visited. We have my kids on a remineralization protocol so I’m excited to see if that helps. It’s nice to feel hopeful and confident after their dentist appointments now. We drive an hour to come here and it’s well worth it to us.

Experiencia fantástica: I came here because my son takes a lot of medication plus is on immunotherapy for his allergies and it is rotting his teeth, a traditional dentist wanted to remove all his teeth. When I did research I found out about holistic treatment for his teeth, it is not a cure-all, but it allows for his body and teeth to heal and repair his dental health. Staff is friendly, helpful and amazing. Doctor Kim Marran is caring and provided a dental plan to follow.

Experiencia fantástica: I started taking my son to Dr. Diana Lee back in June/July for my son's cavities. He was 3 at the time. I had previously gone to a different dentist who suggested sedation and crowning his teeth. I absolutely did NOT want to put him through that trauma and spend the $6-8K it would cost. Although Pursmiles is an hour away from us I'm so grateful I found Dr. Lee and Puresmiles. 1000% worth the drive. She got him on a remineralization routine with great products and vitamins, along with providing fillings instead of crowns for his cavities. He did laughing gas instead pf sedation, and she's very gentle with him. My son was terrofied of the dentist after previous visits, now he's completely calm. Forever grateful for her hard work and follow up calls to make sure my son is feeling well after the procedures. He is 4 now and cavity free thanks to following her protocol.

They have tvs at each station in case you want your kid to have something to occupy them while they get teeth cleaned. I was hesitant to pursue traditional treatments like amalgam fillings, and Dr. Lee completely understood and supported my concerns. Unlike other dentists who blamed extended breastfeeding for the cavities, Dr. Lee respected my choice to continue breastfeeding and even emphasized its benefits, along with the importance of nutrient-rich foods like vitamin D, meat, fish, and butter. She was incredibly thorough during the consultation and even identified a tongue tie that had gone unnoticed until now. Dr. Lee is patient, knowledgeable, kind, and has a warm sense of humor that put us at ease. What stood out most was her use of alternative, bio-friendly treatment options for every procedure. Experiencia fantástica: Pure Smiles provides the best care and have always been open to accommodations or concerns with anesthesia, sedatives etc. They are super efficient so we never feel like our visits take too long. The laser feature for fillings is wonderful and the prize after each visit is always a plus with my son. We have been clients for 6 years and we drive all the way from Long Beach. They are that good.

Experiencia fantástica: We absolutely loved our experience. We were referred to this very specific pediatric dentist by our doula, and I’m really glad. Our baby had a tongue tie and we were getting conflicting advice, but Dr Kimi was a pro and made it easy. It was not the cheapest procedure, but it was quick, painless and we felt very cared for during and after. (They also are working with our insurance to try to get it covered.) She even left us her cell phone number and followed up later. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but we for sure have found our child’s dentist!

I especially love that nutrition gets asked about, as well as remineralizing protocols. We were watching a cavity last year and followed the protocol everyday…. We ended up not having to do anything with it and his past two appointments were all clear from cavities!

Experiencia fantástica: Finn’s had his fair share of Dr appointments and hospital stays which have ultimately caused him to be quite wary of any kind of office visit. Because of this, we put off his first dental exam and elected to clean his teeth at home to save him any extra stress but alas the time had come for his first go’round. We are so proud of him and grateful to the team @puresmilessouthbay for making his first dental visit so wonderful! Not only did he feel secure enough to follow Dr. Kimi, he got up in the chair on his own and sat through a whole cleaning! 6/13 We had another great visit at Pure Smiles, it’s totally worth the drive from Palm Springs and we’re so happy to have found a practice that utilizes a holistic approach to oral care. Finn gets so excited when we tell him we’re going to the dentist! 5/24 I realize it’s probably silly to keep reviewing the same place but we just love this practice so much. If only all professionals in healthcare were as passionate and knowledgeable as Dr. Kimi and her team! Most dental practices are going to treat your issues with a bandaid, but Dr. Kimi will take her time to educate everyone on the necessity of certain vitamins, diet modifications and interventions if absolutely necessary. Despite brushing and possibly due to early antibiotic exposure and mouth breathing issues, my first born developed a pretty advanced cavity behind one of his front teeth early in life. When we first came to the practice I thought we were going to have to fill the tooth but Dr put us on a protocol that has the cavity now completely arrested! With maintenance we’ll be able to keep the tooth as is and he will loose it on his own. We drive 2.5 hours each way to come to this practice but it is so worth it and we are now bringing our youngest son to her practice, as well :) It is worth noting that the hygienists are all very friendly, knowledgeable and communicative with the children which I believe is a major contributing factor to how my now toddler has sat through cleanings since he was 2 without issue. Always a wonderful experience! Thank you Dr. Kimi and team!!

Experiencia fantástica: Initially came here to get a 2nd opinion because of one of my daughter's recommended treatment at her dentist which was through Medi-Cal. Dr. Kimi is absolutely the best! She was able to save my daughter tooth and provide good honest treatment. She really opened our eyes with everything from nutrition and proper oral care for our 4 kids. Even though Medi-Cal is not accepted here and I am forced to pay out of pocket, it's worth it!

The hygienists are all so nice and great with the kids. Both Dr. Kimi and Dr. Diana are so knowledgeable about oral and sinus health, not just teeth and gums. There are TVs on the ceilings for the kids to watch a show while their teeth are cleaned. It’s amazing! Cannot recommend enough!

Staff works really well with you to try to cover as much possible with insurance. Love that this office is holistic dentistry focused and I'm very happy with the visit.

So before booking flights, I had questions about what an examination covers. I was given short, non description answers and as I inquired for a little more information, I was ignored. Very frustrating as a mom who is seeking help for her daughter.

Experiencia fantástica: We love Dr. Kimi. We recently had our second visit with her for our toddler, and both she and her assistant Myra were so friendly, pleasant and informative. They made us feel welcome and more importantly, made our toddler so comfortable with being at the dentist. At our first visit earlier this year, she was scared and got a little emotional and they were so kind and understanding about the whole thing. By the end she was smiling and happy and excited to come back to see the dentist next time, and we had lots of instructions and information on the growth of her teeth and jaw and exercises to help with proper jaw growth. At our recent second visit, they took the time to go over her recommended mouth exercises again and Dr. Kimi even sent over a video of the proper way to do them. They are out of network, but to us it's worth it to pay full price for the care we receive and the fact that she takes a much more natural approach to dentistry. They also submit to insurance for you which is nice. If you're looking for a new dentist for your kids, or a holistic dentist, I would absolutely recommend Pure Smiles!

As a doctor she also is amazing, my son went for a tongue tie and a lip tie , and finding out that he also has a slight cheek tie. She was able to release all of them within five minutes. She handled him with Care and I felt very comfortable with her service and her dealing with my infant child. I did a lot of research before choosing a dentist office and didn’t find one that really compared even though there may be other great ones out there. She is also an Out of net work provider so that’s something to keep in mind when visiting. But I was totally OK paying out of pocket for a peace of mind.

She is kind, informative and very gentle with my toddler and I am so thankful for that. Unlike other dentists she’s given us a re-mineralization protocol to help strengthen her teeth. So grateful to have found our lifelong dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: We’ve been there three times this year as as a new patient and this last time (cleaning only) just went so fast -it’s great that they let you watch even adult vs kiddie Netflix during treatment and it’s great that they let kids over 18 (esp special needs) who need only basic dental cleanings and exams still go to this practice. The hygienist is so sweet, happy, and friendly. We drive an hour to and sometimes two hours home just to go to this holistic pediatric dental practice. Very pleased. Check them out!

Experiencia fantástica: Kiddo had to have a baby tooth pulled, due to a cavity that had become painful. The team at Pure Smiles managed to get us in RIGHT before a planned road trip, at short notice, and they did it with good grace. The whole process from scheduling to final check out was simple, professional, gentle and completely tailored to our needs and preferences. They educated him about good tooth care in a respectful and clear way that was very kid-appropriate. I was very impressed and would absolutely return!

Experiencia fantástica: Incredible dentist and team. We are so thankful to have found you! Dr Kimi gets it. Finally :) we have some genetic stuff going on. We have a homestead to get the best food and I make everything from scratch. I care about what goes into my family’s bodies and am intentional. Looking for answers when you have done everything you can do as a mom is not easy in this world that puts money first. When dentists only answer is “use fluoride” or “don’t eat fruit” and you know it’s a deeper root problem, it is a frustrating feeling- like you know more than the dentist but you are paying for their expertise. Dr Kimi is well researched and I finally feel like I have someone on my family’s team who knows more than I do. Yay! She was able to look at my two year old and preform an advanced procedure within the first hour of meeting her! My daughter doesn’t let any stranger near her and she was happy listening to every word and very cooperative for her. Miracle! She has a joyful and kind presence.
