Experiencia negativa: This place is a fraudulent operation . It does not even deserve one star. DON'T GO THERE! I went for a dental cleaning. I had the stand up x-ray and sat down in exam room. I told the tech gal I had a Dental Clearance Letter to be signed by a dentist so that I can have hip replacement surgery in a month. It is to verify that I do not have any infections. I also told her I did not want the periodontal exam as I would not have that treatment. I have no gum problems and don't need it. She took all the other x-rays. Dr. Thomas did a quick check and told me that a back tooth has some decay under the filling and needs to be pulled and a replacement tooth could be inserted. I have not had any pain or problems with that tooth. I asked if he could show me the infection on the x-ray. He said the tooth will give me problems "down the road". There is not infection there. I told him I am 79 years old and have numerous health problems right now. I am not going to have teeth pulled or treatments that I don't need. He said if I don't have the periodontal treatment and the tooth pulled he will not sign the release paper. AND....they will not clean my teeth....which I already paid for in the dental insurance. That is a bribe!!! We never got to the proposed cost of treatments as I got up and walked out. Dr. Thomas and the others should be ashamed of themselves. They are not professionals. I am going to post this on Facebook and any where else possible. Spread the word and close this place down!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give them ZERO stars I would because I wouldn’t recommend them to a Dog. On Wednesday September 9th, I had an appointment to the Endodontist for a root canal and crowning. I’ve known I’ve needed the procedure since the first appointment back in April. During the initial appt I set up a finance plan with the Dental Hygienist NICOLE HICKMAN. So during my recent appt when it was time to put down a payment the quote I had received was significantly higher and so I kept asking the Office Manager CATHERINE COULTER to explain to me how/why the quote went up. She proceeds to say that I’m auguring back and forth with her and that I can leave. Obviously, I’m in a a lot of pain as I still need my root canal so I didn’t leave. CATHERINE then proceeded to call law enforcement on me. In the midst of her calling the Police, the dental hygienist i previously spoke with walked up front so I started talking to her to get her to remember me and what had discussed at the last appointment, well CATHERINE orders her to walk back to the back and not speak to me because obviously that would validate that she in error about the price change. When the two officers got there we all met outside and CATHERINE tries to paint this sweet picture as if she did nothing wrong and accused me of trespassing. The officers asked her if she still wanted me to leave and she says “Yes, she can come back when we’ve had time to cool down” as if I’m a child. I’m a patient who’s in obvious pain and you call the police on me and still think I’m going to come back and give you dime of my money? She’s out of her mind. I have never ever had an experience like that especially in a place of business but unfortunately for her I will not be letting this go. Calling the police on someone for absolutely no reason is very dangerous. I’m actively reporting her because someone with a nasty disposition should not be dealing with patients in any shape or form.

My portion was going to be $2699. My insurance recently changed. I chose Sage Dental because they accept my new insurance. I will pay the $209 out of pocket at my old dentist instead.

Experiencia negativa: I completely agree with Matt. Avoid this place if you can. I had the same exact experience that he described. I came in for a routine cleaning and after wasting an hour plus of my time, I was told they wouldn’t do a routine cleaning and brought in the office manager to upsale the cleaning to deep cleaning that would cost $1700 out of pocket! Everything about this place is a scam.

Then came in saying I needed to schedule an advanced cleaning for over $600 with tons of add ons. They tried to say it would be 4k without insurance and I was saving so much money. So I left with my teeth not even cleaned. Felt more like I was at a car dealership than a dentist’s office! Ridiculous! Will NOT return here!!

First time I’ve ever had to leave a negative review for a dentist, I’m actually one of the rare ones who enjoys going to the dentist, but my experience at Sage Dental was beyond disappointing and disturbing. I scheduled what was supposed to be a routine cleaning and arrived on time for my appointment. Despite that, I wasn’t seen for until over 30 minutes later. Once I was finally called back, I was immediately sent through a series of scans and X-rays without any explanation of what they were doing nor anyone asking whether I had recent X-rays available from another provider. After about an hour in the office, the dentist examined my teeth and told me everything looked good, with no cavities or major issues. I was then told a hygienist would be in shortly to go over my cleaning. More than 20 minutes later, the hygienist arrived and, instead of providing the cleaning I had scheduled, began presenting a treatment plan that came at a total cost before insurance of $7800, after insurance was quoted at $2,900. I was shocked. I came in for a basic cleaning and was never actually offered one. When I questioned the treatment plan, the cost was reduced to around $1200-1300 after insurance, and I was then handed a tablet and encouraged to sign off on the treatment. I declined and stated that I would not be signing anything. After spending nearly two hours in the office, I left without receiving the cleaning I originally scheduled. Their focus seemed to be on selling expensive procedures rather than providing the scheduled routine preventive care as many reviewers have touched on previously. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this location to do research of other reviews including BBB and of recent lawsuits filed against them. Update* - I went for a second opinion at an office that was out-of-network, but I had heard great things about. (Being out-of-network was the only reason I didn’t go to them first and went with Sage being in-network). Their findings completely contradicted those from Sage from the gum readings to the plan that I needed. I was able to get my full cleaning, cancer screening, exam, etc. out of network (no insurance coverage) for $329. A little different than the $7800 quoted at Sage. When I told them of my experience at a different dental office, they guessed right away which office I had been to…

Experiencia negativa: I went in today for my regular 6 month cleaning. After taking X-rays and checking my gum depth they said they wouldn't do a full mouth cleaning unless I paid the $500 upsell for their sub gingival tartar removal. They wasted an hour and a half of my time and didn't even clean my teeth. Avoid this place, they don't know how to do insurance covered "standard" cleanings and will happily send you on your way without providing the service you came for. I was a previous patient of A Better Day and this was my first visit since it became Sage. It will be my last too.

I was there over 2hours waiting inside with my autistic child .. who become overly irritated after a while.. the hygienist was super nice though.. don’t get me wrong , the staff at the desk really friendly , the doctor he was nice as well .. office manager who I waited for was ..not so nice .. she was the one who stated I couldn’t get a regular cleaning .. just horrible wasted my day off and time

Work that shouldn’t cost more than a few hundred being billed at 2600 after insurance coverage. Quoted that pricing from another dental practice. Please get pricing elsewhere if you need dental work. Experiencia negativa: I don’t think I’ve ever felt more taken advantage of during a medical visit. What was supposed to be a 2 hour appointment for a routine annual cleaning literally lasted almost 6 hours. I have regularly gotten my teeth cleaned my whole life. Like most other negative reviews on here, after completing x rays (which they framed as complimentary), I was told my teeth warranted a bunch of additional procedures, beyond a typical cleaning. Without insurance, my visit would have cost $4,000. With insurance, it was $800. The officer manager, Catherine Coulter, was incredibly rude and unhelpful, and mostly just stared at me with a blank condescending stare as I asked questions trying to understand the absurd cost. Later, I asked the dentist “so is the condition of my teeth really bad?” He responded “in what way?” He answered that my teeth are typical of what they see everyday and not in bad shape. So why then did I pay $800 for what was supposed to be an annual cleaning covered by insurance?? I feel so taken advantage of. The dentist and hygienist were super nice, but it is so obvious their whole business model is to push expensive unnecessary procedures on you.

Experiencia negativa: Scheduled an appointment for just a cleaning and cleaning only. Received my x-rays as per usual and was expecting a cleaning. Nicole was great in examine my gums and was very informative. However, after discussion they brought in a treatment plan for over $1200. Mind you this is after insurance and I’ve seen a dentist every 6 months for the last 25 years and have near perfect teeth. Just another corporation upselling you on everything that you don’t need like needle free novacaine gel or an annual cancer screening. At the end of the day I did not receive a cleaning like I was expecting.

I had scheduled an exam and cleaning, got exam completed and was waiting for my cleaning. The rudest office manager I've ever seen comes to show me a "treatment plan" the big extra bill that seems to be there standard operating procedure. All I want is a standard cleaning, they said no, won't do it unless I sign on for the big procedure. Refused to clean my teeth then stated "I'll just walk you out" Like get out, totally rude and terrible attitude. Now I can't get a cleaning elsewhere without getting an exam and x-rays. Shame on them. Whoever is in charge should listen to these unhappy customers. Also, just wanted to point out that the hygienist that checked my gums was awesome! She should find another practice that knows how to treat their patients. 2 weeks later update. Someone at sage is at least looking at the reviews. Had a client relationship agent contact me. I explained everything and she set up an office visit for a standard cleaning. I arrived early, checked in with the staff and waited....20 minutes later the same rude office manager refused to clean my teeth unless I followed their treatment plan. Unbelievable!!! It seems as though every time I go, I'm paying too much out of pocket. When Nicole completed my treatment plan, I'm having to pay more out of pocket than my insurance company. However, I was able to get approve for a loan through a company they suggested, but this is ridiculous that I'm always having to spend so much money out of pocket. I can't afford to go to the dentist if I'm going to be coming out of pocket with these ridiculous prices.

Experiencia fantástica: Well, I’ve been going to this dentist in newnan for about six months had plenty of work done from the time I walked into that office greeted like family by a very lovely down to earth caring receptionist which I believe she is the office manager as well she very knowledgeable very professional . the young lady who does the billing and appointments ditto with her as well the hygienist again very professional very open and honest to the assistance and even the two dentist that I had the pleasure of them working on my teeth I recommend this office and if I had my own practice, I would hire each and every one of them this is what I think teamwork and professionalism is when you have a business and if anyone as I read these other reviews many feel the same way I do and some see it differently. The ones that see it differently than I do then evidently they do not know what teamwork means again. I would recommend this office to anyone that needs dental work done. I give this office and all the staff 120%.

Experiencia negativa: front desk receptionist is rude once you first arrive and seemed to have a attitude. as i got to the back for x-rays the lady who took my x-rays were poking my gums with whatever tool she kept putting in my mouth and then proceeded to ask “why do you keep opening” with a attitude as if your not poking my gums to make them bleed after a while everyone wanted to start being nice when it was time to tell me i had gingivitis after minutes of the lady poking my gums and wanted me to pay almost $900 for what? and not to mention i still didn’t receive my cleaning that i made the appointment for

Experiencia negativa: I had to find another dentist after sage took over this location. All of the dental techs left, which should have been a big red flag. Afterward, I was paying hundreds of dollars ($300) per visit for a cleaning. LOTS of extra charges. Fluoride treatment, cancer screening, antibiotics, deep gum cleaning, and x-rays. The worst part is my son got hit with a $800 bill after a cleaning, and he claims that they did not ask him for these extra items. Don't use sage dental. My family is going somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: The receptionist Catherine, Dr.Eric Washington, Hygenist Nicole, and Lisa X-Ray technician were Fantastic! Everyone was so super friendly, knowledgeable and just fun! I would recommend this dental office to everyone.

Experiencia negativa: They are always trying to add things to increase the payment. They owed me over $300 and it took more than 4 months to get it back. Both my husband and I asked for our records and I got mine quickly. The manager just called about my husbands records and she said they have 30 days to get them out. She said they were going down the list. Well there must be lots of patients getting their records and going elsewhere!

Experiencia negativa: I definitely think that they are very unprofessional, at the beginning I really thought they were really good even the staff but at this point Im tired of them, ( might sue them idk), went to go fix my front tooth supposedly they were going to be able to fix it and had to pay around 1,300 for them to tell me I had to go somewhere else to do a root canal because they didn't have the equipment!!!, and I spent another 1,240 for that, I work out of town and taking days off work it's costing me a lot of money, I been in that dentist office 3 times already AND am still not finish !!!!!, I had to go back to put the crown on but every time I try to make an appointment they always come out with some excuse, I call and I explained my situation and they said we call you back in a minute and then they go days without getting in touch, I try calling multiple times and no answer and when they finally did they did the same thing again ( we call you back in a min we just need to talk to the boss and then they disappeared again), I really don't know what to do no more, thinking about going to State Bar of Georgia to talk to them and see what would be the next step, hopefully with this review I can get some answers from them !!! By the way today is March the 13 and am still waiting for their call .

Experiencia fantástica: I was very afraid, just dentist's in general make me very nervous. They put me at ease right away. From reception to completion they were phenomenal. I would highly recommend this office.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible front desk! I got to my appointment and was told that it had to be rescheduled because I didn’t confirm. I stated that I did confirm via text. The front desk was EXTREMELY rude! She even said many people are confirming via text. Like, I get it.. the text isn’t working. I can reschedule. But don’t talk to people SO RUDE and ugly! At one point I told her stop talking to me ugly as if I had done something wrong … - I also understand they are now corporate but this lady was off the chain rude! The front desk person said she called me today. I have no missed call or voicemail. - again, it’s fine to say, “oh no. Our texts aren’t working and bc we didn’t speak to you we need to reschedule”… that was not my experience. She then handed me the business card and said “maybe you’d like to confirm via email next time”. I replied, why would I need to do that? She said “OBVIOUSLY the texts aren’t working”. I literally have the email confirming the appointment. The point is.. stuff happens but DONT BE CRUEL AND RUDE!! You ever seen movies where the front desk says “MA’AMMMM” - yeah this was it… what they didn’t know is I have worked in the medical field 20 plus years!! This is NOT how you speak to patients or HUMANS in general. This office would benefit from customer service training.

Experiencia negativa: This review is based on the front office - first time going. Chick up front during check in asked if I’ve had X-rays done in the last 5 years and I told her no I haven’t. So she started explaining that they REQUIRE specific X-rays that insurance doesn’t cover. I told her I just wanted the one insurance will cover and she stated they can’t do that… I canceled that appointment so quick and walked out because what you’re not going to do is tell me I’m REQUIRED to do something that I don’t want to begin with. Girl bye, lmao. They should really be explaining stuff better in the call center when a patient asked how the ENTIRE process goes if it’s already been mentioned it’s been over 5 years since a dental visit. Because I wasted my time and gas driving in heavy rain for nothing. Anywho. Definitely don’t recommend this place if simplicity and full insurance coverage is wanted. They don’t offer that clearly. Sheeesh! Off to the next dentist…

Experiencia fantástica: I really liked them. The staff was extremely attentive and efficient. My kids appts took maybe an hour max for cleaning & x-rays. My husband and I had to come back for our cleanings because they do not do same day for adults. Each time we were there, we spent 30 mins max each in the dentist chair and maybe 10 minutes max waiting to be called back. The office is also really clean. Would recommend for a family!

Experiencia fantástica: The DDS and staff at Sage were wonderful. My exam was thorough and everything was explained well.
