My cleaning was quite painless. The whole team pays attention to detail and takes pride in their work. Experiencia negativa: I would like to preface this by stating that, as someone who works in healthcare, I value professionalism, clear communication, and consistency in patient experience (from the first point of contact). After reading the reviews for your location, I felt confident scheduling a new patient appointment for my son. Less than a week later, I decided to schedule an appointment for myself as well. I am seeking clarification regarding a discrepancy in your scheduling policies and hours of operation. On Friday, I was able to book my son for a 5:30 PM new patient appointment. However, by Tuesday, I was informed that I could not schedule my own new patient appointment any later than 3:30 PM. When I referenced my son’s already scheduled 5:30 PM appointment, I was advised that the hours had changed as of yesterday (seasonal hours) and that later new patient appointments were no longer being offered. To make matters worse, I was asked to reschedule my son's appointment as well (obviously to an earlier time). This was unexpected, particularly since these updated hours do not appear to be reflected on your website (and given that my son was already booked for next week). To make matters worse, I received a confirmation email for my son’s appointment yesterday, which further contributed to the confusion regarding the scheduling changes. While I understand that operational adjustments may occur, consistency and communication are important, particularly for new patients (first impressions are crucial). Based on this initial experience, I wanted to provide feedback at how disappointing this exchange has been.

Experiencia negativa: I told the dentist Dr. NOT SO HAPPY I was having work scheduling complications and I’d have to push my appointment back one time. Her response to me was I can find another dentist because she doesn’t have time for the games because just like I am working so is she and her staff. VERY RUDE after I decided to call instead of not just showing up. I even put salt down randomly on her driveway area during the past winter storm without being asked to help out because it was poorly done. I’ve been nothing but respectful to this Elderly woman and was talked to poorly by her. I’m not some reckless individual who would curse her out the way she deserves to be cursed out. CLEAN PLACE JUST IMPATIENT OLD OWNER.

She truly knows how to put every child at ease, no matter their age or needs, and our family is so grateful. Experiencia positiva: I'll get right to it. I think 3 stars is a fair review of Dr Nwobu's Practice. The positives are that there usually isnt a long wait, they are clean, friendly (especially at first) and do a good job with the services offered. You should not be concerned that this practice doesn’t know their craft but on the business side its lacking and shady. To provide context, I was a new patient that asked for a cleaning. I was having scheduling issues with my prior dentist and I wanted to support a Black dentist in the area. After the cleaning, the doctor strongly recommended all these extra procedures that I should do for a better smile the first of which being braces. I asked how much my insurance was covering and what I had to pay out of pocket. Turns our I had about $1500 to pay out of pocket. The doctor could see my apprehension since this was an extra fee I wasn’t expecting that day. We ended up having a verbal conversation on what we could do. I thought this was very personable and appreciated that the office would work with me on a $100/ monthly fee. I gave them my card information and the money pulled every month on the same day. Turns out my braces were moving a lot faster than expected and only took about 8 months which was faster than the original estimated time. After the 8 months, on the day I went in to have them removed the assistant at the desk asked me how I wanted to pay my balance off (Around $700 left). I told her I had a paper contract that said the system would pull $100 every month until it was paid for but the behavior the assistant showed was that she didn’t care and didn’t want to do anything. They were giving me the run around and were basically going to refuse service until I paid the balance there and then. They weren’t seating me even after calling my name to one of the rooms. I had the money on me (but that wasn’t the point) it seems like advance services that included people coming out of pocket don’t have proper and professional consultations to fully explain expectations. It wasn’t like this was my local dentist, I wanted to support this business as it was about 40 miles from my house and was somewhat close to my job. After I had them braces removed, I never came back and told them to remove me from the system for future appointments. With that said, I would only go here if its very close and you don’t need to give them money out of your own pocket.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't give out five stars lightly! I show up for my appointment I scheduled for myself and my children with someone over the phone. When I show up my appointment was not in the system. Initially I was irritated but they added me in and informed me that the dentist would see us. As I was speaking to the dentist during my appointment, she informed me that one of the workers got into an accident and passed away and that they were actually closed today to attend her viewing. Apparently I never received the call to reschedule so she decided to see me being that we showed up. The fact that her office has this level of professionalism, deserves a five star rating. She should have cancelled my appointment with what her staff was going through but the fact that she opened up and didn't even mention it to us (it happened to come up due to our conversation) says a lot! The services were great as well. My children cried during their first dentist visit but this team they were fine and even told me that they liked her. Also, in speaking with Dr. Happy I can see that she is a very inspiring person to her staff and community and I am looking forward in to returning back.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Nwobu is the best. I’ve needed some extensive dental work done this year and she’s taken very good care of me. She has a very gentle, caring touch. I’ve had to have a couple of root canals this year unfortunately but to be honest they weren’t bad at all. I barely feel her needles when she’s giving anesthesia and when the anesthesia wears off I haven’t needed any pain medication whatsoever. I honestly was able to go about the rest of my day as normal after each root canal procedure. She’s done a great job with the crown molds also. I’ve never experienced a wait time in her office and I’ve been there at least 4-5 times already this year. Her staff is also very friendly and pleasant. Alexis is my homie lol. The office itself is always clean, cool, comfortable and has a peaceful energy to it. 5 ⭐️’s, do recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Happy smiles was suggested to me by my insurance provider after visiting a Dentist who I was under the impression used said insurance but was later told by my insurance they were not under my plan. I contacted Happy Smiles Dental associates and explained the situation and was told by Dr Happiness that I could have my x-rays forwarded but she still had to do her exams to determine what was going on and how to move forward. What I really appreciate about Dr Happiness is she is very thorough in explaining what your insurance covers because to be honest the ordinary patients like myself are not versed on the intricacies of health/dental insurance coverages. She ensures you get the maximum coverage from your insurance even if she has to get on the phone with the insurance company like she did mine (lol). I say this to show that you don’t have to worry if she has your best interest at heart…because she does which was evident from my experience. The entire staff is simply wonderful and does their best to make you comfortable. My procedures so far have been seemless . I did a root canal, filling and have more work to be done and I’m quite happy…like the name suggest

Experiencia negativa: I was given awful service and was coerced into paying $90 for 2 bottles of basic mouthwash that would've been free if this money-hungry dentist would've simply written a prescription instead. I went to see a professional periodontist just a week after my visit with "Dr. Happy" and learned that she sent him poorly done and incomplete x-rays (that I was charged full price for!). She also charged me full price for a "deep cleaning" that she did not complete. She lacks customer service skills, and spoke to me like a dog in the street. She insinuated that I was a drug user because my gums were bleeding...it's called gingivitis! What kind of dentist doesn't know that? This was my first and last time. Never again.

Experiencia fantástica: Had to have some dental work done today and communicated to Dr. Happiness that I did not want to lose my tooth. She said she will do everything in her power to save it. And she did just that. I ended up being there for 3.5 hours and instantly I knew I was in the hands of not only a professional but someone that has years of experience. She constantly checked on me throughout the procedure to assure I was comfortable and ok. She wasn’t rough at all and I was able to be at ease. She explained everything she was doing along the way. Her assistant wasn’t there and Dr. Happiness was still able to navigate through the work she had to do alone and to perfection. I’m very pleased to say I have found an awesome dentist and the young lady that did the X-rays was such a sweetie. I don’t even feel the too much after pain either. Experiencia fantástica: 11/4 I went there in pain. I was impressed by the decor and most importantly the cleanliness. The service was superb. I saw a dental video on how to properly floss and brush. The younger dentist (my apologies for not remembering her name) explained why I had the pain (and sold me a whole bunch of products ). It was a fine experience! Then, I returned 11/18 to get a Root Canal. Dr. Happiness came out dancing. She was patient in explaining my insurance coverage, very professional, and positive. She explained why I needed the Root Canal and scheduled me for follow-ups. I'm bringing my husband.

Experiencia negativa: Dr.Happiness provides terrible customer service and professionalism. If you’re considering this practice, be sure to to request a copy of all documents! I requested a copy of their policies and was refused, and was told to settle for a copy of a statement (no they are not the same thing). There have also been MULTIPLE occurrences where I was told to come in for an appointment, told to wait for hours, and received no service. I also had to pay for two pairs of retainers here. I ordered a pair through them and was not alerted that they were in office until I called, so by the time I received them my impressions were no longer accurate. I bet you will get alerts about mIsSed clEanIngs though. Save your money and support a different black/local business. There are many to choose from in the same vicinity.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed a dentist who was not just personable but also helped me feel at ease. While looking online for dentists in my network, I came across Dr. Happy. Dr. Happy was quite knowledgeable. Since I dislike going to the dentist, she described every step to me, which ordinarily would make me anxious. However, she made me feel at ease, and the process went very smoothly. I must say that I couldn't be happier with my choice! I'm glad to have discovered a dentist who I can go to with complete confidence and will without a doubt recommend to the rest of my family.

Experiencia negativa: They were nice at first, but then they completed service that only they knew was not covered, even though the location was in my network. At the end of my visit, I had to make a payment of $206 dollars, which I expected to get back but Dr. Happy did not submit the supporting information that Aetna needed to evaluate the charges. I called repeatedly but no documents submitted. I was never told the charges would not be covered by Aetna, even though I now suspect that their action was just a Scam use to Steal Money from their new Clients. I plan to file charges with the Small Claim Court and the Better Business Bureau.
