Experiencia negativa: Went in for 11am appointment and was sitting until 12:30pm. I walked out because I had to get to a next appointment at 1pm. Poor service from the dentist and staff.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve visited Nova Dental in Newark for about 4 years consistently getting my teeth cleaned twice a year. At my most recent appointment, scheduled for 9:00 AM (the first appointment of the day), after arriving at 9:02, I was still waiting at 9:14 to be called back and had to ask the front desk when I would be called, only to be told the doctor had not arrived yet. I was finally brought back at 9:21, but there was confusion about which room I would be placed in because another patient was already there. During this, I overheard a hygienist say, “she’s only getting a cleaning,” which felt dismissive. While waiting in the chair, another hygienist entered and removed tools from my setup to use on a different patient next door. I then sat waiting until 9:45 (24 minutes in the chair) without anyone acknowledging me or beginning my cleaning. After more than 40 minutes past my appointment time with no communication or service provided, I decided to leave and cancel the appointment. The receptionist even asked me if I needed to schedule my next appointment (as cleanings are done every 6 months) as she thought the service was complete for how long I was sitting back there. I responded “no one came in, nothing happened.” This was not the first time I experienced significant delays here, but it will be my last. A 9:00 AM appointment should not still be waiting to be seen nearly an hour later, especially without communication or consideration for the patient. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of professionalism and respect for patients’ time. I am now currently looking for my new dental home in Newark.

Experiencia negativa: Experience with doctor good. However, front desk staff not helpful and rude - not all but one specific one I dealt with regarding a prescription. At the end of the day you come for the doctor not receptionist.

Experiencia negativa: 0 stars!!! wasted 4hrs of my husband and I’s time as the female asian doctor (cannot remember name and that’s the best way to describe her) went back and forth between several patients. 2 or more of my fillings have fell out in less than a week, leaving me with holes in my teeth. dirty rooms. DO NOT GO HERE!

I’ve explained my anxiety and a past bad experience and she walked me through every step of the way for something as simple as a deep cleaning. Checked on me after every other tooth and it was extremely appreciated. Also Don’t forget about the staff (my lovely ladies at the front desk) they are related, friendly and knowledgeable as well, when it comes to your Benefits from insurance & payments they are honest & break it down. Truth is No place is perfect but when you can get good results /treatment + Customer Service + decent prices all in one spot it is probably a spot you should keep. Then the doctors are very very gentle in my mouth and my kids mouth. I’m sensitive , but you know it’s always that one Dr. thats different. The have more than enough reference and the doctor talk you Thur whatever. I found a really good dentist.

Experiencia negativa: extremely neglectful dentist. I have a tooth that I was advised to get extracted. I needed an Aetna referral form, which was not provided to me initially when I was told to get the tooth extracted. When I scheduled my appointment with the oral surgeon, I was told that I need an Aetna referral form so I contacted the dental office to get my form. The girl at the front desk told me that she doesn’t know anything about a referral form and that they don’t work directly with the insurance. I then contacted my insurance who had to contact the office directly and was told that they were going to email me the form. I emailed the office and they never responded to my email. I then called back about two weeks later and another woman answered and told me that she would call me back to send me the form. I never got a call back. Fast-forward a couple of weeks later, I now have a swollen gum from the tooth that was supposed to be extracted due to the negligence of this office.

Experiencia negativa: I rate this 0 stars Please do not come here people! This place should be shut down ! At first the secretary girls were nice I went in for a normal consult for a root canal and then rescheduled for me to get my temporary crown before I get my permanent crown when I went for my temporary crown everything was ok until it was time for my permanent crown, this specific day I went in for my permanent crown he goes with no numbing cream no anesthetic he is actively trying to remove my temporary crown. He keeps picking at it to the point where now its hurting me as much as he is pulling with all his force the temporary crown he installed isnt coming out i wanna say about 5 min this was happening I close my mouth to taste blood so at this moment I know something isn't right. I say to him your hurting me and he says let me put some numbing cream. Sowhen he does he starts drilling & pulling and then finally it comes off for him to just say oh it just broke. I saw his face and he was definitely panicked but not just my temporary crown the whole entire post he build inside my gums to hold the permanent tooth came out so he not only cracked my tooth but ruined my tooth. He did such a horrible job he had no consideration and just said it broke no remorse no consideration he definitely panicked and went to get the other doctor an indian women which comes in extremely rude wanting me to not be upset and basically tells me they either try again or I have to permanently remove my tooth for good. I was in disbelief when this happen and completely emotional in this moment i wanted to walk out and find a specialist, so i tell him that i want my records my xray everything and he says ok the front desk will help you so i go to the front and i tell the young girl in the front that i want my copies she proceeds to tell me they dont do that. And well if she was a professionally trained receptionist she would know that its against the law to deny my records. So then she proceeds to give me a hard time and not give me my records and rolls her eyes and gets on the phone walks away from me to go talk to the doc which she comes back with an attitude and tells me to have a seat only for her to give a receipt of the 1st two appointments that my insurance gave so not only did she deny my records she was extremely nasty with her job which i thought that was very unprofessional and she should be fired. I will look into legal action this doctor who performed this on me was a young indian male late 20's. They know who they are . Because I also filled a grievance report through my Insurance.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ahmid is amazing! (I truly hope I spelled his name correctly, he absolutely deserves that respect.) I’ve never had a good experience when it comes to the dentist, but Dr. Ahmid completely changed that for me. He was incredibly patient and kind, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He has such a gentle touch , the procedure was painless, which I deeply appreciate. As someone who experiences anxiety attacks when going to the dentist, I was genuinely surprised at how comfortable and cared for I felt. He made the entire experience so much more pleasant than I ever thought possible.

Experiencia negativa: Don't recommend Them for any dental care. They are very unprofessional and dont care about thier patients. When I first went there I said ok it was ok,but now dealing with issues of getting referrals was a problem. Nasty attitudes they give on the phone,and their phone lines are ridiculous with its distortion when speaking to the front desk. They also try to over talk you when you tell them the issues.

Experiencia fantástica: I just got my teeth cleaned by Dr. S. She was absolutely AMAZING!!! She started off by explaining EVERYTHING in great detail, she then took her time and gently cleaned my teeth to perfection, while at the same time continuously checking to see if I was ok or feeling any discomfort. Experiencia negativa: Too bad you cannot give zero stars. I had a filling done over the summer. Two weeks ago, the same tooth literally fell apart. I tried to make an appointment, but the rude receptionist would not listen to me and I could hardly understand him. I went elsewhere. My tooth was in bad shape due to tooth decay. This dentist was completely incompetent and ruined my tooth. I needed a root canal and will need an implant. Stay away from this practice!

Experiencia negativa: This was the worst dental visit I ever had and all I had was a 6 month check-up. Dr. Egli Hajdarmataj provided a horrible teeth cleaning. Was extremely rough with his tools and caused me to bleed. To make matters worst I received a $77 bill listed under oral hygiene instructions. Do not see this doctor. He is a joke and preventative service that should be free should not come at a cost of $77.

Experiencia negativa: This place gets a negative 0. My daughter went there for a filling on 1/16/25, the male dentist put some gel in her mouth to numb it then gave her a needle which she felt because her mouth was never numb. He left for 2 minutes came back & asked was it numb, she said no. He then tried to give her another needle again which she declined because the numbing gel did not work and after getting the first needle her mouth was hurting painfully in which she told the male dentist. The male dentist gave her a prescription for Ibuprofen & amoxicillin and he then told my daughter to go to UMD to take the tooth out & told her to come back to get her filling. My daughter went to UMD but it was too late to be seen. UMD told her to come back on Tuesday and they will take care of it. She’s been taking the Ibuprofen & amoxicillin but the side of her face is swollen, she’s in pain and the side of her face is breaking out with red spots. NEVER AGAIN!!! I will be contacting the health department and BBB.
