Richard P. Denise, DDS

Experiencia fantástica: I received Invisalign and they are truly wonderful people. Kind, clear and always compassionate

Experiencia fantástica: My dentist for over 35 years suddenly retired and I needed a new one, quick. I chose Denise Family Dental and have been thrilled with the service. We've been going there for a couple years. The hygienist was so good and comfortable that I told my wife to see her, specifically. She was equally thrilled. The dentists have been courteous and competent and, on the two occasions I needed quick service, saw me right away. The front desk staff has been friendly and helpful every time. I'm still "new", but I just don't see the problems others have mentioned. Perhaps I'm just inclined to treat people well who treat me well, and this office does. I recommend without reservation.

Experiencia negativa: In my personal experience, this has been one of the worst dental visits I have ever had. I felt that the dentist showed a lack of compassion and professionalism during my treatment. The way I was spoken to and treated made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. The dental work I received was, in my opinion, extremely poor in quality, and I was very dissatisfied with the outcome. I left feeling that my concerns were ignored and that my appearance was negatively affected by the work that was done. Throughout my appointment, I felt that the dentist displayed a lack of compassion and professionalism. The communication and manner in which I was treated made me feel disrespected, dismissed, and extremely uncomfortable. The quality of the dental work performed was, in my opinion, unacceptable. The results left me feeling embarrassed about my appearance and deeply dissatisfied with the care I received. Because of my experience, I am filing a formal complaint with the Dental Board so that this matter can be reviewed and addressed appropriately.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience was great as always.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased with my hygienist. I am a long time patient at Dr Denise’s office. The hygienist was kind but also very competent and no time wasted. I was very pleased. I hope to have her next time. My apologies I did not get her name

Experiencia fantástica: Im a new patient and am very pleased with my hygienist, Summer, and Dr Denise!

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff! Awesome hygienist and Dr. Denise and Jason are the best dentists in Bowie!!

Experiencia negativa: The dentist is amazing but the front desk staff have terrible communication skills. I was given the wrong time multiple times. Multiple phone calls multiple back and forth over my insurance and if they accept it or not...just to be met with an attitude the day of my appointment and to be told I have to pay a fee for missing an appointment. Totally unacceptable. Bad experience do better

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Dr. Denise & the office personnel for your dental & oral care needs. Everyone is friendly, efficient, knowledgeable & professional. The care, service & treatment that they give to their patients is always excellent.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is professional. Had a good checkup. Definitely going back for more tooth cleaning.

Experiencia fantástica: Me and my family’s smiles have been taken care of by Dr. Denise and his hygienist for about 20 years! It’s a good place to get good treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly. The staff is fantastic.

Experiencia fantástica: Great people in office, Dr Denise is an excellent dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: Great practice. Both Dr. Richard and Dr. Jason are excellent.

Experiencia fantástica: I love getting my teeth cleaned...it's like a day at the spa for my teeth!

He is always approachable, friendly, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. The quality of his work is outstanding, and I always feel confident and well cared for. It’s rare to find a dentist who combines such skill with genuine kindness. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent dental care!

Experiencia fantástica: Always the professionals they took me in on a emergency appointment. And then they let me know that my appointment could be move to an earlier appointment time so it was great all the way.

Experiencia fantástica: Being a founding member to Dr. Denise Family Dentistry (over 40 years), I’ve never searched for another dentist in my area. The staff treats me professionally and with kindness during my cleanings every 6 months!

Experiencia fantástica: Everything went smoothly at my visit. Since I am a new patient, this was my first cleaning at this practice. The hygienist, Tonya, was very kind, and listened when I gave my history. She took care to make sure that I was comfortable with everything she did. She was also very friendly, as were the receptionists. Dr. Denise is kind, as well. He is also receptive to hearing about my concerns. I feel very comfortable coming to this office. The staff genuinely seem to enjoy working together.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jason was excellent.

Experiencia fantástica: great

Experiencia fantástica: Fast, painless and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent as always!

Experiencia fantástica: I didn’t want to go through multiple dental offices—I was really hoping to find a good doctor I could stay with for many years. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Denise’s office. The location is convenient, just 10 minutes from my home, and it works perfectly with my schedule after work. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming to everyone who walks in, and they’re always willing to help in any way they can. Dr. Denise has been a joy to see and consistently provides excellent care and service. I truly appreciate the experience of being a patient at this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Right on time appt wise and 5 star service!

Experiencia fantástica: Everybody is friendly. Always on time with the appointments. Anyone looking for a dentist I always recommend Dr Denise

Experiencia positiva: Great and prompt service.

Experiencia negativa: The front office manager needs to have some compassion and understanding towards patients. I was called last Friday and asked if I could move my scheduled appointment from 1:00. -1:15pm on Monday. Thinking it was no big deal I agreed to the change but forgot I had an important meeting at 2:00pm. I called the office on Monday at noon because that it when they opened. I explained the situation and instead of understanding that a mistake was made I was told I would be charged $69 for a no-show. I’ve seen Dr.Denise for 20 years and was never treated this way. So I told the manager that to avoid the charge, I would come in at 1:15pm and the hygienist would have 30 minutes to clean my teeth. The hygienist thought this was ridiculous and I should have been able to reschedule the appointment. Under pressure the hygienist cleaned my teeth within 30 minutes but it was rushed and I could not get the examination from Dr. Denise. Not her fought, it made the appointment very awkward.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Dr. Denise office for over 10 years. The dentist and hygienists are all great. I’ve been going to Tonya the past few times who is an excellent hygienist.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such a great experience with Dr Denise and his staff. Like many people, I’ve postponed seeing the dentist for a while. They made me feel comfortable and they’re making getting back on track easy. I suggest giving them a call!

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I have been patients of Dr. Denise for decades and I must say that in all that time, I have never considered anyone else. Dr. Denise combines cool competence, brilliant solutions, and medical knowledge to repair problems and guide patients to better oral health. In addition, the practice is so well run that my trips to the dentist have become a genuine pleasure, something I look forward to. Well done, Dr. Denise

Experiencia fantástica: The front desk was so welcoming and friendly. The doctor and assistant were kind and patient.

Experiencia positiva: Very good hygienist.

Experiencia fantástica: Top Tier Service Linda is and has always been a perfectionist. She’s meticulous and consistently makes sure you’re in great shape when she’s done. I miss her dearly. It was heart lifting to see her and catch up.

Experiencia fantástica: Very pleased with Dr Richard Denise ! First visit to this practice. I broke off part of a back molar over the weekend. I was able to get an appointment right away. The young lady at the desk was very welcoming & answered any questions I had. I already scheduled future appointments to address other issues.

Experiencia fantástica: As always, I receive excellent service with compassion and care. I have been a patient of the Denise's for quite some time. All of my family and a few of my friends are now patient's as well. I highly recommend the doctors and their staff. Great professional environment!

Experiencia positiva: Appointment was 30 minutes late this time which is odd.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I have been going to Dr. Denise, Sr. and now Dr. Denise, Jr. for over 25 years. They are the best. I live in PA now and still keep going to this practice. I'm 68 years and have all my teeth. That's because they have taken very good through the years. Thank you to the team.

Experiencia fantástica: Best Dentist ever Friendly staff

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent, highly professional service. Friendly people.

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly staff - esp. Ms Tonya and Ms Andrea, appointments have been on time. Ms. Andrea at the front desk was really helpful in navigating my insurance prior to my initial appointment. Highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: Great dental practice!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: I love everyone there very professional and friendly...

Experiencia negativa: My experience wasn’t as great as it usually is, I was scheduled April 21 and when I arrived my appointment was no longer in the system. Weird because I received a text reminder on March 22nd about my appointment. The staff was pleasant and they did fit me in but I had to wait over an hour for a 2:15 slot when I was there @ 12:45. I was very upset for the long wait because I didn’t plan to spend half my afternoon when I was scheduled 6 months prior to that date and time. Like I said before I usually have a great experience but this was very upsetting. Hopefully I won’t have this problem on my next appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Everything was good. The hygienist Charlene was very nice and as always - Dr Richard Denise is great!

Experiencia fantástica: Great people, highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic as always. Staff was professional polite and kind. They treat me like an individual like. I might be their only patient but they treat everyone that way. Thank you for asking i'm always quite satisfied with my care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Richard Denise has been my dentist since I was 3 years old, so this review is informed by a 30+ year history. I now live about 50 minutes away but continue to see Dr. Denise for dental care because of the personalized, friendly, and knowledgeable treatment I receive every time I go. His staff is also wonderful - the fact that I had the same hygienist for 33 years until she retired really speaks to the positive environment of Dr. Denise's practice. Based on my own history, I can genuinely say that this is a great dentist to go to for both children and adults. As a kid, I needed plenty of fillings and extractions due to cavities and dental crowding. Dr. Denise took great care of me then, and he continues to provide great care to me as an adult. I have a fairly low pain tolerance when it comes to dental work, so he has always made sure to use all the tools at his disposal to ensure I did not experience pain during any procedures. He also ensures that all dental procedures are done to the highest standards and will not settle for less. When I had one of my front teeth replaced with a crown, he was persistent in ensuring that the crown matched my other teeth perfectly. Even though I was tired of dealing with that particular tooth (it had been a months-long process getting the crown approved), he refused to accept when the first crown was too different, insisting that I would not be happy with having my front tooth be starkly contrasted against my other teeth (and he was right). I am of course now very glad he insisted on getting it right. I have also been treated by Dr. Jason Denise many times since he joined the practice. One of my favorite qualities of Dr. Jason is how he listens and advocates. Several years ago, I needed a crown for one of my front teeth because it had chipped in half. My insurance denied the prior authorization and my appeals due to them having old X-rays on file that did not show how badly my tooth was damaged. Dr. Jason took the time to sit with me and my hygienist to draft a thorough explanation of why my tooth was never going to be repairable and a crown was necessary. I was immensely frustrated with my insurance provider by that point, and Dr. Jason listening to me and advocating for me to my insurance made me feel so much better. It also led to my insurance approving the crown that I desperately needed. These are just a few examples but I have many more. I will keep going to this practice as long as I possibly can regardless of the distance because it is worth the drive. It means a lot to me to have a healthcare provider who knows my history well, provides good care every time, and values me as a patient.

Experiencia fantástica: If you are looking for a good dentist, try Dr. Denise. Dr. Denise's office and staff operate with the highest level of professionalism. You will get quality care and clean and well taken care of teeth.
