When me and my dogs are in the exam room with him, he takes care to make us feel like there is nothing else in the world going on outside of my concerns about my pups. He is also incredibly thorough and clearly takes the time to continue building knowledge about animals, their conditions, medicine, and emerging research. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. Pricing is transparent. Staff also does an incredible job with scheduling. Everytime I show up, we go right into the exam room which is important if you have a leash reactive dog or dog who gets anxious around other dogs. Wonderful people and a fantastic practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family began seeing Dr Leslie and Dr David Steele when we adopted our first dog from Grateful Goldens in 2003. We chose Advanced Animal as they were the rescue’s provider. It was the best decision we ever made for our pets. 5 dogs and 4 dogs later we have never received anything but the best preventative and medical care. However, our greatest gift was their amazing kindness and compassion given by them and every member of their staff. Thank you Drs Steele

Experiencia fantástica: Ever since my lab mix first visit up to his recent procedure ( one year total now) I’ve been highly impressed with Dr. Hardy and the entire team. My dog suffers from extreme separation anxiety due to trauma experienced during surgery at another vet. They took extra precaution to ensure Indo wasn’t isolated before or after his lipoma removal and teeth cleaning. They gave detailed instructions and his recovery has been phenomenal thus far. Their compassion is obvious and genuine. Indos first visit was very thorough and Dr. Hardy felt my pain from the amount of attention Indo needed with his separation issues. He has since adapted to his new environment and doing great home alone now. Highly recommend advanced animal care. I make a longer drive for his appts and keep an emergency vet on hand if that time were to come but Dr. Hardy will remain his primary. Thank you!! ❤️ And like that, he is all healed.

Experiencia fantástica: This veterinarian practice is so incredible. Both Dr. Steele’s are so caring, considerate, and really invested in your pets well-being. Their staff is equally invested, kind, and patient. My dog gets major vet anxiety, and Dr. Steele lets us have our appointments outside so that she’s less stressed out. He also waits until she’s comfortable with him before he even touches her, which sometimes takes as long as 30-45 minutes. He’s always an incredibly informative, and really wants to make sure you are getting the info that you need. They also came in clutch many years ago when my previous dog had a major injury, and I was in a panic on a Saturday afternoon and new in town. I cannot recommend this veterinarian practice more highly. 10/10

She wanted my puppy to get to know her and she certainly impressed him. He was obsessed. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Anna at the front was kind and helpful, and the vet was fantastic—thorough, compassionate, and efficient. Experiencia fantástica: I feel so lucky to have found this wonderful vet, Dr David Steele! Our first visit with my 2 dogs included a consult that took up at least 1/3 of his day. Never in my life have I had that kind of time and attention from any Dr let alone a veterinarian. Ever!!! He even stayed after closing to be able to cover the full scope of what we needed behavioral assistance with. My dogs have pretty polar opposite personalities and issues going on. One has so much love to give but major separation anxiety and the other dog has barking and reactivity issues. His knowledge and expertise is outstanding! In just one visit, I learned so much about dog psychology I leave there feeling more confident to be able to tackle our issues head on! We just had our follow-up yesterday with Dr Steele and again, I never felt rushed. He is so thorough and ensures we’ve covered all of my list of questions and that I feel very clear on his recommendations. He has such a kind soul and makes my dogs feel so comfortable in his office. The front desk gals are always super sweet and you can totally tell they love what they do because of who they work for. They are Dr Steele’s biggest fans and it shows! I highly recommend this office to everyone! If you want the top notch service for your fur babies, Dr Steele is your vet!

Experiencia negativa: Absolute negligence. They sat on positive Giardia results for two of my dogs for 30 days. They did not inform me of the positive results even after weeks of back and forth between myself and the front desk staff as I was sending them pictures and expressing concern over both of my dogs daily stool issues. It took me going to another vet and them getting the records and asking me “were they never treated for Giardia?” Not only did they let my dogs suffer for a month, but I find out their diagnosis the week before Christmas, where I was planning to go visit family who has dogs in the home. This has been ruined by their negligence, as it could’ve been treated a month ago. Office staff, while used the words “I’m sorry” did not express empathy properly and did not have an explanation for how this slipped through the cracks for so long. I only hope this is the last time such a negligent mistake is made. I went to advance due to their good reviews and recommendations. Be cautious if you chose to go with this vet. For details: the documents show my dogs test results as positive on 11/19/24 and they did not send any communication or medication whatsoever. No conversation about Giardia until I addressed the records today.

They’ve treated Max, Roxie and now Sadie from pups to adult dogs. They have always been upfront with their recommendations for healthier lifestyles and definitely understanding of any concerns we have. The staff is excellent.

I didn't know how to put into words just how much the team at Advanced Animal Care has helped me so I'll talk about their greatness in a general sense. With every visit to their clinic they've shown me just how much they love animals, they are compassionate towards people, and they understand the importance of fostering lasting relationships between the two for the benefit of our shared world. They truly care and that is even more apparent in the fact that they run a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps so many animals. Maybe you're looking for honest, quality care for your pet or maybe you recently took in a wayward stray and you need some pointers, either way you won't be disappointed if you make an appointment with any one of the wonderful doctors at AAC. Unfortunately my cocker was so sick and in pain, that Dr Steele compassately put him to sleep. He's been really able in the care of my elderly spaniel. When I moved to West Ashley, I continue braving the traffic to the far reaches of Mt Pleasant for my dog's medical care These people are the best!

I was scheduled within 36 hours by a very professional and compassionate staff person. We met Dr Steele who performed a detailed examination and informative discussion / education relating to his immediate and accurate diagnosis. He is very passionate toward his profession and apparently loves his patients. So, as a 67 and 66 year olds that have had many dogs and many veterinarians throughout the years, my wife and I walked out after the appointment and were throughly impressed and confidently agreed that Dr Steele was the best veterinarian we ever had! Trust us, you will be doing your babies a great service by having this physician and staff serve you.

I have a 10 month old puppy who developed vomiting and diarrhea as well as began refusing to eat or drink and therefor becoming lethargic. I just recently moved back to the area and did not have vet care established. They were able to work him in on a Saturday morning so quickly, treated both my pup and myself with such kindness and care and I cannot express how far this goes in todays world. I recommend this clinic 100%! Charlie now has a loving new vet ❤️

Experiencia negativa: ...after almost 15 years of care and our trust in this Vet clinic, on Bella's last week, it was never called back to check on her situation, no return about urine culture. The assistance called on Monday (one day before she pass) and I told her that I still would like to talk to Dr Steele but he never called back, and even not a single call or message after she passed. Very disappointing... this is very sad...

Tried to get appt unsuccessfully with two other vets and was lucky enough to get a same day appt with Dr Leslie at Advanced Animal Care of Mt Pleasant. The staff and Dr Leslie were wonderful with both the worried human parents and dog They took our boy back and trimmed the flap of skin and sent us on our way with instructions for further care. When I called about a new limp in his front leg, they were able to see him the next morning. Dr. Hardy was great and came up with a plan that included 2 weeks of arthritis med to go along with another one he has been taking. It has worked well. AAC has provided excellent care over the years, and the office staff has always been friendly and responsive.
