Prior to this office I’d had many very bad experiences with dentists throughout the years that caused me to go a long time without seeing one! Needless to say the doctor had so much work to do to get me back to a healthy place. He was calm and reassuring and comforting and so was his entire staff! They literally held my hand while I cried through my first few visits and have become friends to me over the years! If you know you need to have work done but you’re scared to death of the dentist, this is the place for you! It is my privilege to shout from the rooftop how amazing this dentist is!!! Nora at the front desk is incredibly helpful and takes the time to explain affordable, manageable monthly payment options. Experiencia positiva: I had taken my 9yr old nephew here and he was petrified of dental visits due to pass horrible treatment at Western Dental were I heard they didn’t even numb him and did work on his mouth due to this horrific experience he’s scared of the dentist so I took him here being that I myself had bad experiences with dentists and come here made things so amazing I brought my nephew whom I have custody of and I tell you they were soooo good with him kept him calm explained everything they were doing. They were so excellent this kid received two cavities filled and a root canal during which he at one point went to sleep haha and the hygienic had to hold his head up for the dentist hahah then upon waking up and let me tell you he was NOT GIVEN ANYTHING TO SLEEP just the normal numbing medication. He was just so relaxed with them and they so gentle the kid went to sleep upon us leaving he was laughing and very talkative about can’t wait to go back. I showed his mom the video I took a s it brought tears to her eyes to see her son not in any pain and happy to be there. So I can tell everyone if you have a dental issue GO TO SOUTHLAND DENTAL there AMAZING. That’s for the entire staff just amazing THANK YOU SOUTHLAND DENTAL

We have no words to express how amazing this office of from the phone to schedule the initial appt to the front office staff to the back, the hygienist, the dentist. All of them if we could give them 100 stars we would.

No pain during or after. I highly recommend if you have anxiety about dental work they will be patient with you.

I will never forget how kindly Nora treated me. She is truly a blessing. I wish she were the one making dentures, because her compassion, patience, and understanding of severe anxiety is something rare. Nora deserves an award for the way she cares for people. Before coming to Southland Dental, I had a horrible experience at another dentist who extracted all my teeth, gave me a non-functional immediate denture, and then abandoned me as a patient. I was left toothless, scared, and devastated. When I came to Southland Dental, the best thing that happened to me was Nora. She made me feel safe again. Unfortunately, the dentist and the lab tech here were not able to make a proper denture for me. I had four different try-ins, each one coming back with incorrect bite, misaligned teeth, and a shifted midline. It was extremely stressful, and I went through a lot of disappointment. But even though the dentures didn’t work out, I am grateful because Southland Dental did the right thing. They were kind enough to stop the try-ins, acknowledge the difficulty, and allow me to go to a specialist with more experience. In the end, it worked out in my favor, and I appreciate that they handled it professionally. This place is very clean, the staff is nice, and Nora is truly a beautiful soul. My honest advice is: if you need regular dental care, this office is great. But if you need dentures, you may want to see a specialist. Thank you, Southland Dental, for making it right in the end. Experiencia negativa: Trash customer service. Made multiple appointments for dental and orthodontic services as a first time patient for my family. First two appointments for my 3 year old twins at 1130 and 1230. Anyone alive knows a 3 year old has limited patience and small windows of cooperation. First child was not called back till 1210, window of cooperation missed. No one let me know they were running behind, no one let me know doctor was working between multiple patients at once. Literally nothing was completed other than a quick visual exam once I made an issue about the time we had waited and my children running out of ability to patiently wait. Front staff attempted to make it seem as if it was my fault for delay stating paperwork had to be completed so I kindly reminded them paperwork took less than 10 minutes and didnt account for a 40 minute plus delay. Then was told the next appointments I had scheduled would not include a cleaning and those would have to be scheduled for another day. Also they had already called me to reschedule my Thursday appointments for Wednesday because they had made a mistake and doctor wouldn't be in on Thursday. Just a total mess from start to end. Canceled all my appointments, 100% do not recommend if your time is important to you and not unlimited.

On a regular basis I see one of their wonderful hygienists. If I need extra attention in a problem area, they have provided deep cleanings and other treatments to help me.

Experiencia negativa: Didn't appreciate the fact that my appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm and I wasn't taken to the back until around 4:20pm. Even after being taken to the back I waited about 10 minutes for x-rays to be taken, which took about 10 mins themselves to complete, and then waited another 10 mins for the Dentist to perform a 5 minute check up in which he shined a light in my mouth, touched 4 teeth and then stated alright let's get you scheduled for a cleaning and an ortho consultation. Of the 5 minutes, 4 minutes were spent telling me about the consultation I need. Obviously, I'm lost at this point, as I'm thinking to myself, he must be confused, no way I waited close to an an hour and a half just to be told I wasn't getting a cleaning done which is what I scheduled. All that said, and the reason, I won't give 1 star, is that the staff were polite and the dentist at least seemed like a good guy. His assessment although was a complete joke, he didn't perform a full or thorough assessment and what a complete joke that not even a cleaning was completed. I certainly would not recommend this place. Could be I just had a rare one off bad experience that is not typical for them, but I sure don't want to test that out again. Edit: updating to 1 star as I find it inappropriate for the dentist to share details of my appointment. Truly an unprofessional site. Maybe they thought they were being funny/cute? Don't understand the thinking behind that. Still wouldn't recommend them to anybody who is serious about their dental health.

My kids only had a problem with one hygienist who doesn't seem to work there anymore. Haven't seen her since. Sometimes they do run behind schedule with appts. Otherwise an overall great place to take kids. Friendly, polite and respectful.
