But Dr. Cho and the team were still able to accommodate, even though this was no standard checkup or cleaning. They and an oral surgeon are working together to install implants where two very old root canals and crowns had finally failed. Very delicate work. Fortunately, some important custom items had already arrived, and they were able to make room for me and get the work done. I am so grateful to Dr. Cho and her staff for making what feels like a complicated procedure as smooth as possible.

Just very knowledgeable and her bed-side manor was great. Highly recommend if in their area! I probably passed 15 dentists to get to this one, but I do not regret! Very clean, and it is a newly renovated space so it felt like a spa!

Experiencia negativa: This dentist office is a bunch of scammers! Originally found this dentist off the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield website. I filled out all the new patient paperwork, provided my ID and insurance card upon check-in. Since I was a new patient, they also took x-rays. It was only after the fact when I was checking out did they tell me my insurance "plan" was considered out-of-network and that my $600+ bill was due. How about you verify the insurance "plan" before you added all the additions to my bill. So if you have insurance, make sure they actually take your plan before you get stuck with a large bill.

I booked an emergency appointment with Dr. Cho and her team after some concerns with work I had done elsewhere… They were able to explain everything that they were going to work on during my appointment & the future to get my teeth back in good shape. Everyone was so welcoming, so kind and never made me feel bad for the concerns I had. Dr. Cho was amazing, I must say this was one of my better dentist visits. Every single person I came in contact with was extremely helpful, kind, knowledgeable and patient. This was my very first appointment but I am hopeful that the atmosphere will remain the same! Side note, everyone also smelled amazing lol. Would definitely recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I am writing this review to inform and warn future patients. I went to this dental office without insurance and was sold a one-year plan for $350 that was explained to include two cleanings and X-rays. I agreed and paid based on that promise. After taking X-rays, the doctor said I needed a more advanced cleaning and demanded an additional $650. I declined the extra treatment and requested the regular cleaning that was already included in the plan. The doctor refused to provide any cleaning at all. Instead, I was charged $140 for a consultation and oral evaluation and $109 for full-mouth imaging, totaling $249 — and I left without having my teeth cleaned. Refusing to provide a basic cleaning that was promised and paid for, while still charging the patient for other services, is unacceptable and unprofessional. Patients should not be forced into more expensive treatment or denied care when they decline it. I strongly advise anyone considering this office to get all services and prices clearly in writing before agreeing to any plan.

Experiencia negativa: Very Disappointing. The service at the front desk was uncaring and inexperienced. The dentist call a prescription into the pharmacy, which was not accepted. The dentist ten sent me an email prescription, which the pharmacy did not accept. The front desk was no help.

Experiencia fantástica: My dentist experience today was wonderful. I walked in for my appointment early and I was seen very quickly after. The assistant got straight to asking me what I was there for and did my X-rays quickly and I saw Dr. Cho shortly after. She has a wonderful and professional bedside manner and she explained my options for my problem and the front desk ladies printed out my treatment plan with a detailed price breakdown. Everyone was so patient and kind in the office. I was treated very well and I highly recommend this dentist office and Dr. Cho!

After a cleaning and several fillings, I have never had a doctor consistently reassess my pain/comfort level or answer all of my questions the way Dr. Choi and her staff did. Experiencia fantástica: After having surveyed a variety of dentists in the DMV area, I feel like I have finally found the high-quality, compassionate, and trustworthy dentist that I used to have in my hometown at a practice that makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Some highlights: the staff are welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. The hygienist who helped with my cleaning really cared about doing a thorough, quality job (not one of those 15-30 minute rushed cleanings where I come home to find stains), which I really appreciate. She also was super knowledgeable about all things dentistry. This dentist's office is high-tech with convenient parking. Finally, dental insurance/billing is super confusing, and the team member at the front desk was endlessly patient with my questions about my bill; thank you to her for not losing her cool with my many email questions as I tried to understand my bill. I appreciated this practice so much I referred my partner who went in this week and had a similarly good experience. Thanks, Bethesda Dental Associates!

Experiencia negativa: This was a very bad experience. The doctor was very professional, but the rest was a disaster. 1. I waited for 40 minutes. What's the point of making an appointment? And no one had explained to me during the wait. 2. The staff doing X-ray was inexperienced and took her a long time and multiple attempts to finish. In addition, there was an X-ray technical issue at first so we had to go to another room. Then the X-ray machine in the second room was far from ideal. It was moving a lot and I had to hold it myself during imaging. 3. When I first made the appointment on the phone, I was told that they do accept my insurance. But I would have to pay upfront and the insurance company would send a check to me. This was already dodgy. I asked at check-in what would be the estimate and I was told that I would pay around $500 and get around $400 back from the insurance company. However, in the end, I paid $320 and was told by the same front desk staff that I would get a $50 check from my insurance. This was definitely the worst dental practice I've ever been. They failed to make the appointment on time and the estimate was far from accurate.

Experiencia negativa: Had such a bad and strange experience there today. I made an appointment just for a cleaning. I completed all of my forms and the office never once asked for records or x rays from my past dentist. When I showed up for my appointment they said I had to pay them to have a complete set of x rays done. I told them that I had just done x rays within the last 6 months at my old dentist (in New Jersey before I moved) and would transfer them assuming I liked the practice and the cleaning went well. They said they would not do the cleaning unless I paid for a complete set of x rays (and deal with the extra unnecessary radiation) at which point I left. Reading through other reviews just now (should have done this earlier!), it sounds like they really push these extra charges.

I believe as a patient, it’s important to have agency over my healthcare decision, including diagnostic procedures. I understand the importance of diagnostic tools, but I was in their office for cleaning only. Their reaction to my decision seemed unprofessional and left me uneasy. As a dental specialist, you have the right to decline the diagnostic tasks due to insufficient information Going forward, I trust we can uphold mutual respect for each other ‘s viewpoints to ensure an optimal dental care experience

Experiencia negativa: Stay away from this business, the have terrible business practices. They lied to me about being in the BCBS Dental network, charged my son over $500 for regular dental cleaning. When I called to complain in August, the Manager at that time told me that they will drop all charges. Seven months my son gets text saying that we owe them $251. When I asked for a bill and complained that: 1. They lied about being in the network. 2. They lied about dropping all charges without making a note on the chart. 3. SEVEN month later, they sent me a $251 bill for new patient evaluation ($120) and comprehensive x-rays ($226), which by the way does not add up to $251. They told me that BCBS Dental should pay me $251 based on their bill. I called BCBS and confirmed that i will get only $109.80 as compensation, which this office will receive from me. I hope they keep the records of my calls and their promises, because the Manager says she is new and does not have any records of my earleir conversations with their office. Upon checking their site, I see that they have different dentists than those who were there last August. I would avoid this business at all costs, because you are guaranteed to be overcharged, you will waste your time and you will have to deal with messy corporate and insurance practices, which will add to your stress. I only give 1 additional star because the Manager agreed to drop the difference between $251 and $109.80.

Their stamp was on the back. The front desk woman keep saying it wasn't paid. The dentist is out of network. It's a shame that I won't use Dr. Choi because I really like him. He needs to hire a new accountant.
