Experiencia negativa: I Spent thousands at this place over the span of several years I also brought them more customers we easily gave this business over 10grand and the day I forgot to cancel my appointment on time, they charged me $79 dollars! Crazy how greedy Dr.Hayhurst can be. They rather loose a loyal customer over a cancelation fee that they could've easily waived.

Experiencia negativa: The permanent Crown I received was not shaped like the natural original tooth and to this day it's still bothers me. A permanent Crown should not be sensitive 6 weeks after placement.

Everything was explained to me before it happened. I really like their use of a tablet with short videos explaining the procedures I would be having that day. Dr. Hayhurst took the time to chat and find out a little bit about me. He's very easy to talk to and he listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Hayhurst is a GREAT guy (genuinely, a fun, good-natured, human being) and he is FANTASTIC at his job! His staff are (and have ALWAYS been) VERY friendly (approachable, considerate, caring) and they do GREAT work! While they've fixed my teeth, which I was honestly neglecting more than I should (try as I have), over the years, today, I accidentally made the mistake of wearing my tongue stud on a day when I was due to be X-Rayed. When I realized the issue, I took the piercing out (my bad, not their's). I noticed that despite my attempts at oral cleanliness, which they've inspired me to be FAR better at than I ever thought possible, there was a lot of gunk on the bottom of my piercing! I encourage you to check yours (if you have one) and remember to keep it clean! That said, PLEASE take it out before going to see the dentist! Don't pull a me! That said, my oral hygienist cleaned my jewelry for me after I removed it! I won't mention names as I do not wish for her to have to do that on a regular basis (not her job...it's YOURS!-my words, not her's), but the fact is that she didn't HAVE TO do that and YET, she did it anyway! She just asked me if I'd like her to do it and then, made it happen. I do NOT condone my behavior (and neither should you in that circumstance) but the fact that she went the extra mile was mind-boggling to me! She didn't "...have to be that person" but she cared more than I did (which, is embarrassing)! Again, this is NOT an invite for "bad behavior," but rather it shows you how much this practice actually genuinely cares about you! Please understand me and do NOT take advantage! Your oral health should ALWAYS be your own responsibility, first and foremost! The Dentist's Office is just trying to help you with the things you should already be doing for yourself! For the record, (in more recent history) I try my very best to brush after every meal, I floss and use a "water pick" (recommended-by Hayhurst's office...it's a game-changer!) once a day and use Listerine after every brushing...but I STILL forgot to clean my piercing (or more crucially, TAKE IT OUT) and YOU SHOULD NOT! Remember, your piercings are YOUR responsibility and I shouldn't have walked through the door wearing one...but I did, and they still cared enough to fix my oral problems for me, regardless of this fact. Again, DO NOT take advantage of this! Your piercings are for YOU to take care of, NOT your dentist's!...but despite my efforts, they STILL cared more than I did! I CANNOT POSSIBLY promote this company enough! Everyone that I've EVER seen working there and anyone that you will undoubtedly see there is very friendly! They're ALL great at their jobs and some might even go the extra mile simply because YOU did not! Again, that should not be seen as a "privilege" to be exploited or abused but rather a realization/indication that they do TRULY care about your oral health! If I could go back in time, I'd have my piercing out already because that's just common courtesy. If I could give these guys a 10/5 stars, I absolutely would but as the top number is five, that's the best I can do. They're affordable, great at their jobs and they ACTUALLY DO care (even beyond a reasonable doubt)! They have earned my highest recommendation that I can possibly give, such as it is! Thank, you Dr. Hayhurst for being a solid dude that cares about your patients and for staffing your practice with the best folks in town! Please remember, your oral health care is extremely important! Gum and tooth disease can create other problems in life! That's VERY real! When you think about it, blood flows throughout your entire body, including your TEETH and issues with your teeth can cause problems with your heart (LITERALLY, it can cause heart failure)! It sounds fake, but it's NOT, I assure you! PLEASE, take good care of your mouth and let the good people at Hayhurst's Dentistry take care of you from there!

Experiencia fantástica: Always a good experience! I love this Dentist! There were so many things my past dentists fell short on that Dr. Hayhurst has done above and beyond on! I for some reason have a hard time getting numbed up whenever a procedure needs to get done. This usually gets ignored until I’m jumping back in the dentist chair from pain. That didn’t happen here Dr. Hayhurst. He asked me if I have issues with getting numbed and took me seriously. He is very attentive in his work. Because of this also able to put some sealants on my teeth that my past dentist had missed. I have also had some cosmetic work done here which turned out better than I could ever imagine! He did some gum contouring and teeth whitening for me and the results were amazing! I can smile more confidently than ever. It’s so nice not to have my smile be half gums anymore. And my teeth I don’t think they’ve ever been whiter!

Experiencia negativa: got annoyed with me when i asked any questions about my teeth during the exam. was 1+ hr behind schedule all three times i visited. hygienists were doing half of the the work on my teeth, polishing fillings and bite adjustment. his staff got annoyed with me when I asked for changes to my treatment plan, like not doing multiple procedures in one sitting. overall: will treat you like a customer, not a patient. basically a used car salesman for teeth.

Dr Hayhurst makes you feel well cared for and never tries to “sell” you on what is the best care for your teeth. I’d highly recommend him to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: In my personal experience, this office seems more focused on making money than doing what’s right for their patients. If you read through other reviews a lot of people claim to have a similar experience! He will upsell you on procedures you don’t need. Crowns, root canals, etc. I haven’t been back to a dentist since my visit here because it was such a negative experience. I went in for a routine cleaning while I still had insurance because I was switching jobs. I didn’t have any cavities, but Dr. Hayhurst mentioned that an old filling had worn down and recommended putting a crown on the tooth to prevent it from potentially cracking in the future. While prepping my tooth for the temporary crown, he accidentally nicked my gum and it started bleeding — but he placed the crown over the bleeding anyway. Afterward, I felt a lot of pressure on that tooth, and when I looked in the mirror, the temporary crown was turning purple. I called the office the next day to express concern and explained that it felt full of blood. They told me to wait until my next appointment. By the time I returned to have the permanent crown placed, my tooth was badly infected, and they said I needed a root canal. I don’t personally believe in root canals — there’s plenty of research showing potential health risks — so I was very upset that I needed one because of what felt like his mistake. They went ahead and did the root canal, but two years later, the tooth with the root canal still hurts constantly and gets infected regularly. To make things worse, I recently found out I had a $600 bill from that procedure that I was never contacted about. They’ve had my number for two years and never called, but a couple of weeks ago someone from the office contacted me to update my address for “literature.” I never received anything — and today, I got a call from collections instead. Overall, I’m incredibly frustrated. I’m paying the price — financially and physically — for a doctor’s mistake. I would urge everyone to do their best to find a dentist who focuses on prevention and does everything possible to avoid unnecessary root canals. I get sick so often now I’m debating having the tooth pulled.

Experiencia positiva: Not saying this won’t be the right dentist for you, but it wasn’t up to my admittedly high standards. I didn’t like that they offered a reward for writing a positive review in the front office. How about a sign asking for an honest review? I later saw this ‘honest review’ sign at another office. Could be an easy change. I didn’t like having to watch a required graphic video on the iPad while waiting for the exam. I’m aware of gingivitis, I don’t need the visuals placed into my hand as required viewing material. That would be an easy fix if they get more similar feedback. This is just my opinion. What I liked the least was that Dr Scott Hayhurst tried to sell me a crown for one of my teeth. I went and got a second opinion and the other dentist said I could get two or more years out of the current filling, and after that, he wouldn’t place a crown but install a 3D printed replacement, instead. So that sort of didn’t sit well with me, and the sticker shock wasn’t fun. Especially when the second opinion told me it was something I didn’t need. Anyway, it wasn’t all bad, the hygienist was great and this could still be the office for you; it just wasn’t for me.

Experiencia negativa: Great dentist, but the absolute worst experience with the billing process ever. I called and tried to pay my bill multiple times, but the receptionist kept telling me there was nothing due, even though I was receiving a statement with a balance due on it. She said they were still waiting on insurance to cover their part, well, after the first of the year went by they sent another bill with a past due balance AND interest in it, so I showed up in the dentist office and demanded to pay my balance. The receptionist finally gave me a balance and said that would be the total amount for me to pay, but she still hadn't received anything from my insurance. Since it was past the first of the year, my FSA declined to cover the balance from a previous year, causing me to be fully responsible for a bill that should have been covered, if there had not been such a break down in the mental capability of an incompetent receptionist to complete her task of simply receiving a payment any of the multiple times I called and asked to pay it. Beyond frustrated with this place. Unbelievable! Dentist visits are expensive enough, without having to deal with unnecessary extra expenses on top of that. After being a patient for several years, I will not return here, nor ever recommend anyone else to either.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very subpar experience here. This is how I went around for 3 weeks with a “temporary”. Once I went back for the final the tooth didn’t even fit properly (I partially think it’s because this was such a botched job it couldn’t heal properly) when I complained to fix the work I paid thousands for I was treated pretty poorly. Hayhurst finally fixed the crown but looking back this way crazy that I had to go thru this pain and the crappy temp job for weeks and weeks.

Dr. Hayhurst explains things throughly with you and sure takes the scare out and put the hope in. I wish I would have found him years ago! I am excited that he will be able to fix my problems. What an enthusiastic and kind Doctor he is!

I am retired now from working in the dental field for 33 years as a dental assistant, front office and dental hygienist. And, even better yet, he works with the best dental lab!

Experiencia negativa: I had a hard time believing that this dentist has 4/5 stars and in fact, he doesn't. He has 3/5 stars on healthgrades and 2/5 stars on yelp. How would you feel if your mom showed up on your doorstep crying and covering her mouth with her hand while she told you that a dentist destroyed her smile. I was heartbroken. He took her very straight well aligned teeth and actually filed a gap between her FRONT TWO TEETH! My mom went in and asked him to fix an inconsequential chip on the bottom corner of her front incisor, a procedure she has had done for a decade. How did he so utterly misunderstand this request. What adult woman walks into a dentists office and asks for a gap in her teeth. She continued covering her mouth as she described the incessant filing that was making her increasingly uncomfortable. Not once did he or his assistant stop to ask how she was feeling or if she was ok with the progress. Perhaps it was because he was too wrapped up in his conversation about his holiday travel plans with someone else in the room. As a doctor if you do not understand the request of your patient then you work to understand. Looking through her dental records would have been all it took to realize how off base you were. And if you dont have those records, make a phone call. Then, if you still dont know how to do such a basic procedure properly then have the humility to acknowledge that. This isn't a bad haircut, this is enamel permanently filed out of her mouth. He made her feel like an afterthought and botched one of the few features she has always been proud of. You put a LOT of trust in your dentist and your teeth play a major role in your self image and self esteem. You look at them every time you look in the mirror, you can feel even the smallest abnormality all day long. Now imagine a new black line between your pearly whites. You cant run from dental problems and this individual seems not to care at all about that responsibility.
