Experiencia negativa: Got two fillings 1 year ago. They billed me three separate times, the third time claiming that they “double charged the insurance” and not to worry about it only to double back and tell me that I actually did owe money. They sent bills to my house for 9 months. Very sketchy.

Experiencia negativa: I had a tooth ache and made an appointment. I haven't been to a dentist for several years due to budget and anxiety. They took x-rays and told me I had several cavities in other teeth, which I expected. I paid almost $500 for that visit. They told me I needed a deep clean and de-scaling and made an appointment for 1 quadrant which cost another $300. Then I had to return for another quadrant. Another $300. Came back for my 4th appointment and got a few fillings. Another $400. We still haven't addressed the 1 tooth ache. Finally they said I needed a root canal and quoted me $3300. I asked how much to pull the tooth. They quoted me $450. I found another dentist in Villa park and got the tooth pulled for $200 which included x-rays, exam and extraction. DFD is corporate owned and only cares about profit. The new dentist didn't disagree with DFD's diagnosis, but was shocked at thr pricing. Do yourself a favor and find a dentist that is privately owned. I am now going to C U Smile in Villa Park.

A few hours later I decided that was not the best choice, i called back, they told me to come in. Took me in a few minutes after arriving, x-rays and exam had me walking out the door with a referral and scripts for meds. Really appreciate the flexibility and willingness to work me in. Overall happy with the experience.

Experiencia negativa: Absolute worst dentist office and practice I've been ever been to. Had the same dentist for years that retired and unfortunately when he sold the practice the current owners are unprofessional, rude and scam customers in billing. While I realize you charge a 24 hour cancellation fee 1) it's ridiculous after having an appointment scheduled on the books months ago and rearranging my whole schedule then I get a call and vm it needed to be changed..... Then I unfortunately couldn't make the changed appointment and get charged a $60 cancellation. Why not stick to customers original schedules so they don't have to reschedule a cleaning which many plan out well in advance every 6 months..... To ensure they make that original date Also, in my over 30+ years going to any dentist I've never been charged a bs fee for general cleaning.... My dental insurance covers at least 1 free cleaning a year if not 2. I will never be giving this office my business again. Patients beware it's hard to find good dentists and when you do most stick with the same one for years and this is not the place for that loyalty and established relationship.

Experiencia negativa: I got a root canal here that hurt more than usual afterwards so I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. They said there was an extra hole drilled that didn't need to be there and they told me I should just pull the tooth because they messed up so bad. I believed them but went to get a 3rd opinion before getting a tooth pulled. The 3rd dentist said the same thing and offered to pull the tooth for free because they said they had "never seen someone mess up a root canal so bad". Please please please just avoid going here. Not worth it.

On 4-27-25 went back for my permanent crown. Again my visit went great. The Dr was great and took the time to give advice on partial dentures when I asked him if it was possible to fill in my missing teeth. Thank you

In beginning I called to make appointment I asked the reception my insurance will be cover for my visit Dede she yes then I gave her my information I went to my appointment after visit Dede she said your insurance is not cover your visit you need to call the insurance, I told her so why on phone you side it's cover your insurance she said I don't know it is what it is and then they charge more than $314.00 just for visit clinic. it's ridiculous, My tip for all visitor to go to these office do not fall for their tricks, deception, and lies. I hope that you all read the reviews before you go to any dental or health care like these scammers.

I’ve brought my kids here since they were little, and everyone from the front desk staff, to the dental hygienists, to the dentist make them feel so comfortable. They are accommodating and find appointments when I can bring my 3 kids at the same time. My kids love the goodie bags and prizes from the treasure chest! Everyone is amazing. Special shoutouts to Addie and Kim for being SO patient and gentle with my kids!!

They aren’t afraid to do the right thing, even if it’s against another fellow dentist/oral surgeon from a practice they work closely with. All I can say is they are the most ethical doctors office I have ever been to. Edit! Ever since they sold the practice it has gone downhill. The one thing that drove me away to switch practices over decades was the receptionist Dede. She is very rude and condescending. It was better when it was Dr. Julio. Sad to leave this practice, as I’ve been a customer since Dr. Vitale owned it.

I don’t know how a business can thrive having an employee talk to customers the way she does. I have a Masters degree in nursing education and cannot believe someone with her attitude is getting away with the way she talks. The majority of this practices good reviews is from when it was owned by Dr. Julio and even from Dr. Vitale. I have been using this practice for decades since I was born but will not be coming back. Practice went downhill since it was sold. Do yourself a favor, don’t looked at the 4.8 stars. The good reviews are from before this practice was bought out. Terrible and never go here.

I could tell she cares about the patients that come in. I was also due for a cleaning and she was able to fit me into the schedule right after my grandma. Kim took care of my grandma, who said Kim was very patient and friendly. I was taken care of by Adie who was efficient and did a great job of making me comfortable. We both really appreciated the help from everyone on the staff and the upbeat atmosphere.

My father is a person that does not complain and just decided not to go anymore. I am upset that they can do this to him and not say anything. She needs to quit. She is hurting patients. Experiencia negativa: As a former patient I am very disappointed in the service from my last vist. The dentist left the practice and new one did a horrible job with my implant crown. When brought this to the attention of now the third dentist there he basically said I have to hunt down the previous dentist even though it was done at this facility. Then we asked about records being transferred to our new dentist they basically gave the run arround aswell not to mention the front desk lady is rude and not very friendly when asking her questions she gets annoyed about it but isn't this her job? Definitely not recommending.

One of the reasons I stop going because of the change in the atmosphere since the practice was sold. Also some of the services received that I had to spend more money and come back twice to fix a few things. I received a crown from here last year around this time and now the is fracture.On Friday I was eating and part of the crown broke off. After finding out from my dentist today after showing me the picture, one side of the area of the crown was thick and the other was thin. I'm other words, the materials used were thin and was going to happen anyways. The dentist said it was an issue from day one. I paid out of pocket $700 because insurance covered it a few years before. Now I have to pay for another replacement out of pocket $980 next week. Crowns are supposed to last 5 yrs not 1 year. Under Dr Julio previously, he had a 2 year warranty on crowns if it ever broke. Very unhappy that I have to pay again.

They do not answer your calls for appointments and never follow up to schedule appointments. My parents have both had issues with fillings falling out and having to return to redo procedures

Experiencia negativa: Two years ago I started seeing Dr. Shareef and he told me last year that I have to put a crown on my tooth. He told me I didn’t need a root canal. Two weeks later I complained to him that I have pain in my teeth and he told me that it would go away. From that point, the whole year every visit I complained about the pain. He didn’t do anything about it until I got an infection. He then sent me to a specialist to get a root canal. Then I had to pay double for the specialist for my root canal. He charged me for everything because he needed to close the root canal, it was 100% his fault but he never apologized for it.

His commitment to exceptional dental care is apparent because he takes the time to personally and fully explain each step of the dental procedure to be undertaken. In addition to Dr. Shareef dental abilities and competence, I’ve always found the other experienced dental professionals and office staff to also perform at commendable levels of competence.

I don't go here anymore and found a new dentist after having to have the same dental filling fixed multiple times in a short time span over a few months. The staff changed and not the inviting office it once was when the practice was young.

Experiencia negativa: After giving this dentist cash in advance for a full mouth of dental crowns I ended up having to go to another dentist as I discovered-quite by accident that the crowns which were placed on my teeth in the back are less than adequate causing leakage and it’s only been one year. He also gave me a temporary bridge without ever revealing it and I was under the impression that I was finished as I had paid him up front and in full. He also hurt me several times when giving me a shot as the medicine leaked out and flooded my mouth. His staff is unprofessional and doesn’t take instruction or listen very well. I leave messages with them and it never gets to the doctor. His staff is unappreciative, unprofessional and rude!!! I’m seriously considering suing him in civil court. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this dentist in good conscience and if you’re thinking of patronizing his practice run like your the last two monkeys boarding Noah’s Ark and it’s starting to rain! After stopping by two other dentist offices and being a turned away, I was driving home and saw Dupage Family Dental. I told the staff my situation, they immediately started taking my information, they even called and worked with my dental insurance. The dentist was amazing and funny. He not only fixed my tooth but cleaned my teeth, leaving them better than they were when I walked in. Myself and my family will be going to this dental office moving forward.

This dental practice is absolutely amazing from the ladies at the front desk and beyond. The woman at the front desk did not hesitate to get me in the same day. She was kind and professional. My X-ray tech was extremely caring and was gentile taking X-rays. Dr Julio made me feel like I was the only patient he was seeing. I never felt rushed. He listens to your concerns, he explained everything in full details. Needless to say I will be transferring over my dental care to Dr Julio. THIS IS A WONDERFUL AND CARING PRACTICE.
