Experiencia fantástica: The service is excellent. Children’s Dentistry of the Palm Beach provides the best total care for children and adolescents. I’ve been going there since my granddaughter was 3…she is now 13. I’ve never had a negative experience.

Experiencia negativa: Beware of unnecessary dentist work. Research online and you’ll quickly find many stories of dentist scams insisting on expensive and unnecessary work. Honestly they’re probably just trained this way and I hope it’s not intentional. A family member was told they needed numerous crowns and fillings here. A second opinion and now year later have resulted in no dentist work and healthy teeth. Please, please, please get a second or third opinion especially if it’s your child and they want to do a bunch of drilling. High probability it’s not necessary. Start brushing with hydroxyapatite/xylitol (David’s brand) and cut out dentist trips. Side note: extremely nice staff, good sales tactic

Experiencia negativa: I unfortunately had to change my review after receiving a $400 bill for annual exams and cleanings. The initial experience was amazing. The dentist and hygienists were amazing but whoever just answered the phone when I called to ask why I received a $400 bill has clearly never been trained on how to properly handle customer service concerns. My kids dentist closed down and they struggled to relay info to their sister location. I don’t know how many PANOs and X-rays my kids have had between the 3 offices. Apparently I was supposed to keep track of that in a journal somewhere. The woman who answered the phone had no problem telling me why I was receiving a $400 bill now and what the limits of my insurance were but claims she couldn’t tell me that at that time of the appt. That doesn’t make any sense! I’ve always been asked in advance if I wanted them. This office didn’t ask at all. They just did it without saying a word then billed me because my insurance apparently only covers 1 every 3 years. I said so why didn’t you ask me? Oh we don’t ask. It’s your job to call and tell us otherwise we just do them and bill you. What?! That is all the way backward and should never be the protocol. The lack of accountability is insane. I will not be coming back. I’m also cancelling my son’s ortho appt today that is next door because I was told the offices are connected and I’m not about to go through the same thing twice. The lady who answered the phone can explain why both offices just lost 4 patients because I have 4 kids and will not be bringing any of them back. Good luck with your $400 bill. I’m not paying that. You should’ve asked about the PANO and X-rays. Every other office they’ve been to has managed to let me know and I’ve never been charged until now. All of a sudden the billing professionals don’t notify patients of billing limitations? That’s the patients job? Since when?! My boss would never let me tell a patient/client/customer that. Clearly different businesses have different standards.

Experiencia fantástica: This was my daughter Naomi’s second dental visit, and it went amazing! The dental assistant, Woodline, was wonderful—so patient, caring, and gentle. Dr McGovern was also great and explained everything clearly. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. I was so happy to see that Naomi didn’t cry at all this time. They really know how to make little ones feel comfortable, which makes such a big difference for parents. Highly recommend this office for children—it’s been such a positive experience both times!

The staff were very friendly and helpful but there was someone who stood out the most. Her name was Margaret and she gave my kids nothing less than genuine love, respect and kindness. My kids were afraid, the way she talked them through the process and made them comfortable made my day. Thank you So much Margaret!

I can say I was nervous about her experience, but she didn't cry once and I genuinely believe part of it has to do with the positive energy and vibes. They are patient , considerate and get you in and out efficiently while answering any and all questions you may have!

My daughter had change of insurance and we had to change dentist and our two visit haven’t ended with a smile . Twice ending with tears in the chair. My daughter just doesn’t feel comfortable and expressed pain after her last visit . 30 mins after visiting trying to help her breath and get through her emotions. Didn’t appreciate the lack of empathy from the dental assistant saying if my daughter is spoiled .So we won’t be returning but I think definitely some changes should be made in proper communication . To ask are you comfortable ? Are you in pain ! So hope this review brings correction to these areas in there office .

They were quickly able to get us in and X-ray her teeth. They made her feel so comfortable that she was not scared at all. She didn’t want to leave their office when it was time to go. She spend the rest of the day telling me how nice her dentist was.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service and feel they were milking my insurance benefits! My 5 yo child routinely gets a cleaning every 6 months and I always stay right by his side. This last visit I stepped out to make a quick call before they started and came back 10 minutes later and they said he was done! It seemed like they didn't even start. Usually the cleaning is between 25 to 30 minutes. My child also said they only flossed his teeth and didn't get the bubble gum tooth paste. When I called back they assured me he had the FULL cleaning. (There's no way!) I was also charged 2 additional xrays because my insurance only pays for 4 and they took 6. Not sure why that was my problem, but I paid then ended up paying by mistake again so they owed me a credit which I attempted to get several times and was assured the check was coming. Then I received an expensive bill with no codes for descriptions explaining why! Again my insurance pays for everything. Finally frustrated I called and the nice lady said she had no idea why I got the bill so I asked to have the manager call me back to try to resolve everything and he never called me back then a month later I got another bill. I called again and asked for the manager and was told the bill was a mistake and my account was at 0. I asked about the credit they owed me and was told basically I wasn't getting it back. Unacceptable! I was told I would get that credit. I expressed my disappointment and said that I have no choice but to switch practices and I was surprised that I still never spoke to the manager! The practice isn't what it was when I started going 3 years ago.

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our 11 year old daughter with high anxiety to see Dr McGovern to have a baby tooth extracted. We have had hundreds of experiences with doctors in her lifetime and this was one of the very best. From the first phone call until we walked out of her office with one less tooth, she and her staff made us feel as if our daughter was her only patient. So caring, so attentive, so patient and so respectful of my daughter’s anxiety. They answered all our questions earned our trust immediately and made a really stressful situation feel a lot less overwhelming. I can’t say enough about Dr McGovern & her staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I have 5 kids. All adults except one. That's a lot of dentist visits. This is hands down the best pediatric dentist EVER. The doctor and the whole office are compassionate and professional and just smart. My daughter has special needs and is freaked out by going to the dentist. They could not have been more patient. My daughter likes to go down low on the ground to avoid getting in the chair. Dr. McGovern didn't skip a beat. She got down on the floor and looked in my daughter's mouth right where she was comfortable. We had to have a tooth pulled and went to 3 oral surgeons and none of them could figure out how to do it outside of general anesthesia in a hospital. Dr. McGovern and her staff figured it out. We drove from Deerfield Beach to PBG to see her and it was worth driving on 95 for an hour each way! What more can I say?

Experiencia fantástica: My girls have been going to Children's Dentistry for years. Today we saw Dr.Chau McGovern and she was doing some fillings on my daughter. They allowed me to come back with her and that calmed my anxiety. They also use nitrous and it helped calm my daughter doing the procedure. The experience was excellent. She suggested we do not do the fillings because her teeth were loose and they will come out. The dental assistant said "this is why I love her."

Experiencia negativa: Whole practice is different. Miss the family feeling this office once had. Now it’s very corporate feeling and cold. The hygienist barely “brushed” my daughter’s teeth, and took 30 mins doing X-rays, not due to my daughter. She did great. Sad that this office has changed so much. We won’t be returning.
