Experiencia fantástica: Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Southaven Dental. I have had a missing tooth for almost 40 years. Every Dentist that I saw insisted I was not a candidate for a Bridge and an implant was my only option at 13,000. Until I was seen by Dr. Shing who fitted me for a bridge and I couldn’t be happier. The staff there is awesome if you’ve experienced the same thing go see Dr. Shing!

Experiencia fantástica: Alright this is a long one, but if you feel about dentist's the way that I do, you'll want to read. Never in my life did I think id be writing a 5 star review for a DENTIST! This staff is amazing! From the moment I called they gave me a flat rate for my procedure many others had "ranges" that were not flattering on the pocket. They gave me a straight flat answer that was very easy on the pocket for those of us with no insurance. When i walked in and was greeted, they helped answer all the questions we had about payments and were very kind. I hate I didnt get any names so my apologies for but being able to give direct shout outs. The moment I was in the back were talking me having a full blown meltdown! The nurse was SO KIND she talked me through everything, and was a comfort from the moment I sat down to the time I walked out. The dentist was awesome, he listened to me when I said I needed more numbing and didnt question it or push back, or try to rush through and just finish (many dentists in the past didn't believe me). I didnt feel the tooth extraction, and my pain following the same day and next is very limited compared to what ive had in past experiences. I will FOREVER drive an hour to this dentist! If you have dental trauma this is the place to be!

Experiencia negativa: We had been patients for a few years but this past year, we had noticed some changes in how we were treated by the front office staff. When we would call to make appointments, we were greeted by rudeness, boredom, and abrupt responses, not even allowing us to finish sentences. A medical office will lose patients if they are consistently greeted as if they are a bother to the receptionist. We had excellent insurance and any time we had to pay out of pocket expenses, we always paid in full. We are looking for another dentist simply because we did not feel valued as patients and customers.

Experiencia negativa: Wow, my huband and I have been going her for the last year and half! After 11 months they sent us a bill saying we owe, so we sent it back to the insurance company! Called today to get an appointment and they told me we were sent to collections and I am not allowed as to come back as a patient so of course I tried to talk to the receptionist who has "just now" taken over the billing and got told I was being aggressive!! Wow way to listen and help work with the patient instead of against them!!

Friendly, caring, professional staff and a plus because they are so wonderful with my kids. Dr. Umfress has retired but the new dentist is awesome. They care to remind me that my son’s appointment is coming up.

Experiencia negativa: Me and my wife have been patients at least 3 to 4 years. Lately we both have encountered an increasingly rude staff coming from his office. I don't know if it has to do with new hires, personnel changes. Anyways, i consider these problems expected due to the owners incompetence.

The dentist worked with me , informed me about the situation with my teeth and gave me an excellent deal on teeth extraction. I may have to go back but I do recommend this dental clinic. I was seen the same day I looked it up.

Experiencia fantástica: Everything was great from stat to finish. I've literally never had a tooth pulled that DIDN'T hurt at some point in the procedure except today at Southaven Dental Care. The staff is very courteous and caring. I called them at 7:45am to see if I could get in there today and at 8:30am the procedure was over.

Experiencia negativa: when i first started going here, there was a hygienist that made my experience great, but that was the first and only time id ever had her. each time ive been after that the experience has gotten worse and worse. the dentist is so beyond rude he barely examined me, only focused on one specific tooth and didn’t tell me if i’d had any other cavities to worry about. he told me i need a root canal (which is information i already knew), but when i told him i really couldn’t afford that, at the moment, as i am uninsured, he says “well i can’t afford to help you.” i was so dumbfounded i couldn’t do anything but look at him as if i was stupid or something. this is AFTER one of his hygienist comes to take x-rays and after asking nicely to use a smaller mouth piece to get pictures because i have a bad gag reflex and i was in PAIN, she practically shoves the big mouth piece in my mouth and as im LITERALLY gagging on it, she says “you’re fine honey i’ve been doing this for 20+ years”, uh clearly you have no regard for my comfort or well being cuz you’re literally hurting me. all around worst experience i’ve ever had at a dentist and that saying something cuz i had an awful experience at Aspen Dental too.. this man shouldn’t have his license (as well as that hygienist) if they’re gonna be so damn mean to people.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RECOMMEND!! My rating is 0/10! This dentist office is old and outdated and the staff is the RUDEST & MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF that I have ever encountered. They lie to you to get you in their clinic, but with the outdated and old equipment that they have they are unable to help you. They also tried to use dirty and contaminated instruments in my mouth. I’m still disgusted from this encounter. So do yourself a favor and find a dentist office that can cater to all your needs because you are the paying patient and you deserve the best experience. I will never go here again.

We love the assistant, she's the one with the blonde hair who always cleans my girl's teeth before they see the dentist. She is the absolute best & just super sweet! We've never had any issues here whatsoever & will continue bringing my daughters here.

Experiencia negativa: Not the best...only went because they accepted my company insurance. My husband/son were on my policy...but later my husband didn't need it..he changed jobs. I tried to make appt for only a cleaning ...she said "nah we drop the whole family"! I chuckled and couldn't believe it ...my husband was under my policy...she couldn't even give a reason...she said you're all dropped!
