Experiencia fantástica: I have a terrible fear of the dentist, to where I usually need medicated to even show up, while that was the case at my first appointment since I didn’t know get to expect, I saw Dr Williams and he listened to my fears, was completely up front with me and gave me several options, he even did a repair on one of my teeth while waiting to get in with the oral surgeon and I didn’t feel like I was judged, the front office staff is always so nice and professional, if anyone has dental fears, give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a cracked, completely destroyed tooth removed here today. While it didn't inherently cause me any pain, it has caused a few infections. I also haven't been to the dentist in about 15 years...the staff here was friendly and pleasant, and could sense my apprehension about coming in. My dentist took the time to numb my mouth a second time after asking me if I could feel anything, before quickly and painlessly removing my tooth. It was easily the most pleasant experience anyone could ask for from a dentist. I would highly recommend.

I have seen Dr. Grater most of my appointments he is the best! He is good with children my daughter just loves him since she was 4 years old! She is grown now and still sees him! Dr. Williams is good as well, I have seen him several times. I have never seen Dr. Sandusky. This office is very clean and well run. They do a free dental day every year for the uninsured! Just a great dental office! Try them you'll be glad you did!

With my endless teeth problems, they have shown me nothing but compassion, respect and empathy. From the schedulers, the dental assistants to the dentists, all of them are so eager to help you. Whenever I hear of people in Central Pa looking for a dentist, I always recommend Mid-State Dental. This office is owned by three wonderful dentists, the one that I see is Mr. Sandusky.

Big plus, it’s a place my husband (who hates dental faculties) actually enjoys going. Another big plus is their open floor design which makes it easier on mamas with multiple kids.

I called at 10:30 after calling multiple dentist about my 4 yr old son who was in excruciating pain, pain to the point he couldn’t go more than 5 min without screaming to the top of his lungs. Dr.Grater got him in for an emergency procedure at 1:30 the same day. He really was our Angel that day!! If you’re considering this office, I’m here to tell you YES, YES & YES!! The staff was also very friendly and helpful, we will be returning patients!

However, every time I end up waiting in the waiting area for nearly 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time. Only after I ask when I will be seen do I go back. I never experienced this at my old dentist so I find it exceptionally disconcerting. I am starting to consider just showing up 30 minutes late each appointment

Experiencia fantástica: I do not have enough good words to say about Mid State Dental. Recently my toddler had a dental emergency and the receptionist RAN to ask which one of the dentists could care for my child - she was out of breath when she came back to the phone! They told me to come right away. Dr. Grater saw her immediately and gave us all of the necessary information in order to care for our child. Numerous staff people there went out of their way to care for my toddler, but also to show compassion toward the upset adults accompanying the child. Dr. Grater called me at home in the evening afterward to check on my child. They went so far above and beyond. We are forever grateful to everyone there.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family first entered their office over 24 years ago. A friend shared about their annual free dental clinic. We had 6 kids and no dental insurance, so we gave them a try. We were blown away with the uplifting attitude and care they provided. We continued coming to the free clinic the next 6 years. When my husband changed jobs, it included dental insurance. It was a no-brainer as to our choice. My kids loved all the dentists and hygienists-- that's high praise coming from kids!! Three years ago our youngest finished college and moved to Massachusetts; we've gone from a family of 8 to a family of 2. We have moved 90 minutes away to West Virginia and both of us have retired. But it's still a no-brainer. We love the care, attention, genuine concern and excellent care! From the front desk, to billing, to hygienists, to dentists-- we love them all!!

Heather was very professional, and told me a few things about my teeth that I didn’t know. She answered my questions and had really good suggestions. Likewise with Dr. Sandusky. Very professional, funny and also told me some things I didn’t know. I would highly recommend this practice, and especially these two people. They really are an asset to this office.

Experiencia fantástica: I returned to Mid State Dental after several years of being away (due to moving) with a couple of unfinished dental issues. Dr. Williams spent about 45 to any hour (along with assistant Katy) giving me a comprehensive care plan to take me into my later years as I am retired. They took their time and were not in a hurry. We discussed different options to handle my concerns. But, it was the kindness in their demeanor that impacted me the most. I left the office feeling so encouraged, elated actually. And, I can't wait to start my new care plan and see it to fruition.

Experiencia fantástica: In for a cleaning. Brush at least twice daily. Waterfloss at least once daily. Waxed string floss at least once daily. Thought my teeth WERE clean. Now even cleaner , after dental tech Heidi, and my teeth feel great. Humongous waiting room. Appointment time almost always spot on. Never more than 5 minutes or so late.

From the moment the front desk stayed on the phone with me extra trying to coordinate all my family's appointments, I knew we would love it here. Heidi and Janet were amazing hygienists. Janet took care of my kiddos and did fantastic with them. Heidi did my cleaning and I have never had a more thorough cleaning in my life. My 11 year old loved "Matt" (Dr. Sandusky). She has anxiety about dental visits and the entire staff made her feel great. I also had a great conversation with Dr. Grater about working with adults and children with special needs. I can honestly say this man is working hard to be inclusive and serve all of his community. We just moved from Phoenix, AZ and I am so happy we found MidState. Thank you to everyone today for such a wonderful and comfortable visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough great things about this practice. Dr. Grater and staff make going to the dentist a wonderful experience. The difference is noticable from the time you walk in the door. Unlike most dental offices, the Mid State Dental office is very well lit (bright "happy" lights, as opposed to dull fluorescent lights). And the ENTIRE staff is super friendly. I was able to score what I thought would be an emergency "consult" appointment late on a Friday afternoon. Dr. Grater and his assistant Katelyn took one look at my problem, and the appointment immediately went from a consultation to a procedure. This made for a GREAT, PAIN FREE, weekend! Needless to say, I'll be a Mid State Dental patient for life!

Experiencia fantástica: Well all I can say is Dr. Sandusky has relieved so many of my fears. Before coming to him the thought of sitting in a dental chair itself would bring me to tears and I also got really bad tremors. But Dr Sandusky has alleviated a lot of those fears that I had. Now if I'm feeling some sensitivity and a tooth I am comfortable enough to actually pick up the phone and call and make an appointment. I feel comfortable enough to actually go to the appointment maybe I have to take an Ativan to go but I still go. Dr Sandusky and his amazing girls that work with him or the best. I recommend them to absolutely anybody out there and especially if anybody is afraid or has any anxiety I'll take my word for it Dr Sandusky and his crew are so kind and compassionate and understanding they will take the time to listen to you sometimes over and over again as long as it helps you to ease your anxiety about the process. I will personally be going to Dr Sandusky to the day I pass away I cannot recommend him any higher he is the best very best....

She has special needs and has never been able to sit in a chair and have her teeth cleaned because of severe anxiety attacks. Not only were they able to do full exam, and that includes fluoride and x-rays.. it was done with no tears shed!! Such an amazing group of people. The personalities and bed side manners were impeccable.

LSS...didn't get teeth cleaned. Was referred to MSD, got very timely new patient appointment. They fit me in same day to get cleaning after my new patient checkup. Would highly recommend.
