Experiencia negativa: I've called for months trying to get an appointment,and when promoted to the new patient part of the call. A recording comes on saying they aren't taking new patients to maintain the patients they have. Which is an odd mission statement for a business. I really wanted to go here,but unfortunately have moved on to another dentist. I just think that it should be made known on their website they aren't seeking anyone else's business to cater to the patients they've locked in.

Experiencia negativa: I was a patient here for a few years and I’m leaving this office due to many issues. Back in November 2024 I had an appointment and they said I had a cavity when I was having new issues. They ”fixed” My cavity and my bite was off. I had to come in four times to have them grind down the filling more in my bite is still off and my tooth is very sensitive to this day and I can’t chew on my upper right side of my mouth. I’m now trying to switch offices and when I call them to get my records, I’ve left numerous messages no one has ever got back to me. I sent their office text messages and they’re claiming they don’t have any records of the text messages. I’ve noticed over the years this office has become very unorganized. There are far better options out there, and if you look at the yelp reviews and not the misleading Google reviews you’ll understand who this office really is.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about this practice. All of the staff I've dealt with (hygienist, billing, reception, check out) have been very nice and extremely helpful. The hygienists I've spoken to about the problems I'm having (caused by my previous dentist) have been so empathetic, supportive, encouraging and helpful. The dentist I had a consult with was also very understanding, sympathetic and informative. And finally their specialist (extractions, root canals) set my mind at ease as well. I like having alternative options (such as no fluoride, ozone, homeopathic remedies, etc.). I cannot believe the level of excellence & support I've experienced so far. Wish I had come here sooner. Experiencia negativa: Don't get suckered into their "Sweet Tooth" package. Life happens. Family members die. People have to relocate. Settle estates. Because I called about 9 days past my Sweet Tooth expiration, they refused to even honor ONE of the two included cleanings and X-Rays. I only asked for one since I was partly at fault. They refused. So I paid $399 for absolutely nothing. And they were OK with that. Thieves.

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t ever review, ever… until now. I chipped a front tooth and called to see if I could get an appointment before Christmas. They got me in right away. Emily was incredible! She said “ I’m just doing my job,” But it was much more. With the waiting room full, she took her time like I was a family member. She apologized for being a perfectionist, but that is what I appreciated most. she loves her job, and that shows!Thank you for fixing my smile, Merry Christmas!

Experiencia negativa: I've reached out over the past 5 months to become a new patient. And haven't recieved a phone call back. Not One!. This is a red flag to me of the care I would recieve if I ever became a patient. 5 month and no return call is horrifically poor. I will not be trying further and take my business elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I had a scheduled cleaning appointment that I was 15 minutes late to due to a traffic accident. I called ahead to let the office know I was running late, but when I arrived 15 minutes late, they told me there was not time for my cleaning and I needed to reschedule. I traveled an hour and 15 minutes for the appointment ( recently moved from the Hershey area but liked the practice so wanted to remain a client), so rescheduling, it’s not an easy option. I understand the need to maintain a rigid schedule in order to finish on time, however, I was extremely frustrated as I was a client in good standing for the past five years. Will not be returning.

I came to this practice because it is a biological dental practice that correlates the mouth and body as parts of the whole body/health.Dr Carol was my dentist and is retired now. She was very knowledgeable and kind.Lori is the best hygienist ever too. She is very considerate, kind and gentle.

He extracted the root tip and did the impression to add a tooth to my upper partial. He even did 2 fillings on my lower teeth and adjusted my lower partial! Amazing job!!

Experiencia fantástica: Hershey Dental Associates, off of Route 39 Hershey is the best dental place in this area. Very clean very nice personnel . Doctor fortna is very knowledgeable dentist and he cares for the patient's comfort and he makes the whole appointment relaxing and painless excellent dental work. Also his hygienist Lori is so friendly to you. She relaxes you with her calming manner talks to you while you on the chair and she's very thorough with your teeth. Highly recommend they even have TVs in every room and that is also helpful relaxing . Everything 100% and highly recommend with Dr fortna I have been a patient of Dr fortna for like close to 20 years. The best.

She was very nervous but said he was amazing. He walked her through each step as he did it and she had a very positive experience. Thanks Dr Matt!!!

I’m absolutely grateful that Bernice was working with Dr. B on my case because she was able to alleviate my anxiety prior to the dental procedure by simply being a caring human with a kind, good hearted personality…. She’s a great and irreplaceable asset to this office because in my opinion, nowadays, most medical establishments need more patient care like that where the patient isn’t left alone feeling like they are just a number on a conveyer belt…. Experiencia fantástica: We had an amazing experience today! We went to another dentist first, got the push around, only one way to handle it, no explanations, annoyed at questions we asked. So we came to Hershey Dental for a second opinion. We ended up revamping my son’s plans, we were explained the process, why he was having the issues with his teeth that he was having, given a folder of literature. My son left crying the first dentists, and smiling leaving today. He still has to have work done, but the bed side manner made all the difference for him, and for us. We couldn’t be more happy and pleased to have gone to Hershey Dental.

Experiencia negativa: The hygienist was terrible. Twice she cut into my gum using the pick causing a sharp pain each time. I could taste the blood after the first time. Then when she did it the second time, I told her she was causing pain. She said she was trying get at the calculus underneath the gum. No apology. After the cleaning I saw that my paper bib was stained with blood. The Dr saw this but chose to ignore it. He was however very professional. This was the worst dental hygienist experience of my life. I have never complained about a hygienist before. But feel compelled to do so this time. I certainly do not want her as my hygienist in the future.

I’m so glad they were able to safely remove them. Since that visit I’ve been back for routine cleanings and all of the staff is nothing but amazing!!

Experiencia negativa: MIXED FEELINGS: Great dental work! I love Dr. Layton. BUT I have mixed feelings. I was told they are a fragrance free office. I'm allergic to fragrances, and always ask to have a fragrance free room and staff, but the disinfectant used is marked as Fresh Scent, the hand soaps are scented, there's Gain Febreeze in the bathrooms, and the staff wreak of scented laundry, perfume, and hair products. I suffer greatly, just to be able to get good work done. It takes me days to recuperate. I also had an allergen test done, and had to wait months to get my results explained to me. I asked several times for an update until my appt. They don't return emails, and they don't do Video or Phone Call Appointments. It's frustrating, esp when you have been in pain for months/years, and scared that you may be having an allergic reaction in your mouth. Not even a "don't worry, you aren't reacting to anything, we'll talk when I see you." Nothing. Just waiting in pain, for months.

Experiencia fantástica: The receptionist, Diane, is fantastic. She is always friendly and personable. Amanda is an outstanding hygienist. She is thorough and gentle. She even came up with some creative solutions to remove stains from a prescription mouthwash I had to use after surgery. She said, “We’ll work together on this” and changed her methods several times based on my ability to tolerate the pain and her ability to remove the medication staining. I’m delighted with the results.
