Experiencia negativa: While a filling and a crown I received both failed far sooner than one would reasonably expect, the billing issues are what truly warrant this review. I paid for my dental work in full up front. Despite multiple phone calls over more than three months reminding the office to submit my insurance claims, they repeatedly failed to do so in a timely manner. When the claims were finally submitted, they were billed under the wrong provider. Because of that error, the insurance reimbursement (which should have been sent directly to me since I had already paid in full) was instead paid directly to the practice. This was not an isolated mistake. It happened multiple times. I ultimately opened a grievance case with my dental insurance company. After investigating, they confirmed that Albany County Dental Associates still has not corrected the inaccurate claims. As of the date of this review, the practice has effectively been paid twice for the same dental work: once by me and once by my insurance. Despite the insurance company’s findings, the billing issues remain unresolved. Everyone makes mistakes, but repeated billing errors of this magnitude, combined with months of delays and a failure to correct them in a prompt manner is problematic. At best, the billing practices I experienced were negligent and careless. At worst, they raise serious concerns about the office’s handling of insurance claims. If you’re considering this practice, I strongly recommend reviewing your insurance claims carefully, keeping detailed records of every payment, and verifying that reimbursements are processed promptly and correctly.

I was an established patient there FOR OVER 10 YEARS! and have been waiting on a call back for an appointment for over 6 months, once I decided to call now they inform me they dont take my insurance anymore. When asked why i didn't a letter or some form of communication happen about the change I just received stuttering and no real explanation from the receptionist. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCONSIDERATE!!

Experiencia negativa: Incredibly disappointing experience at Albany County Dental Associates. The Administrative Management here lacks professionalism and communication skills. During my time there was a complete lack of respect for patient privacy with front end management often openly discussing patient matters for others fo hear. The office feels disorganized and that reflects heavily on the scheduling and overall experience of the office. While the treatment coordinator, clinical staff and owners are all wonderful, the chaotic energy of the front end management completely ruins the experience. I would find this office very difficult to recommend to others.

Experiencia positiva: I have extreme dental anxiety, and this office truly catered to that in a way I really appreciated. I was sweating, terrified, and honestly needed my partner to practically push me through the door. The woman at the front desk the day I came in was incredibly welcoming, calming, and genuinely trying to put a smile on my face and make the experience less overwhelming. I was dealing with an emergency situation that required immediate diagnosis and an action plan that neither my regular dentist nor the oral surgeon could accommodate. Albany Dental had the facilities and ability to actually start putting together a treatment plan quickly, which meant a lot during such a stressful situation. The dentist himself and the techs were a little more on the cold side emotionally, but they were never rude or mean. Given the severity of my situation, I can understand that they were focused on the clinical side of things. I especially want to thank Gabby for her compassion, attention to detail, and kindness throughout the visit. She really helped ease my anxiety and made me feel cared for during a very scary time. I absolutely hate going to the dentist, but Albany Dental made me feel like I would be met with compassion, smiles, and people genuinely trying to make the experience a little less frightening. I plan to continue my extractions and future dental work here, and I’m hopeful I’ll be able to write another great review after treatment is completed.

I spoke with Gabrielle (I hope I am spelling her name correctly)who was the most amazing, knowledgeable and pleasant office I’ve representative I’ve EVER dealt with. She explained everything so thoroughly so that I will be fully prepared for my appointment. GIVE HER A RAISE!! I have been researching several different places in the area that provide the same services and wanted to explore my options. With the level of service I just received I cancelled my other consultations. As long as my appointment is as wonderful as the experience I had with Gabrielle I will be utilizing your services. I called after being recommended by my brother and they helped me very quickly, and I have been happily choosing to come here ever since then. Everyone from the front desk to the dentists and hygienists goes above and beyond to be kind and make a welcoming environment. If you need any kind of procedure they will thoroughly help you understand the process and aftercare first and are always patient and open to questions. This place got rid of my anxiety about going to the dentist.

I was shocked, impressed and relieved how fast and perfect everything worked out. My nerves were absolutely shot feeling like I wasn’t able to help my son who was in pain! I called all over Albany; and NOT one office offered to help; found this gem -Jessica answered the phone heard the stress in my voice, and instantly made provisions for my son to be seen within the hour. I am forever grateful as a mom whose child is in college. It’s unnerving when they are in pain. I literally hung up the phone and cried happy tears. As soon as my Son entered the office, Jessica knew exactly who he was and got right to it, squared him away. Thank you, Albany County Dental and thank you Jessica for your outstanding customer service. Putting this Momma at ease while my Son is miles and miles away!!

Experiencia negativa: Deceptive Practices and Unprofessional Conduct at Albany Dental Associates My experience at Albany Dental Associates was nothing short of a bait-and-switch nightmare. On October 10, 2025, I was told the consultation was free, only to be hit with a $300 CBCT scan fee—supposedly mandatory to get a quote for dental implants. I paid the fee under the impression that I would receive a detailed written quote the same day or by the next Monday. Instead, I received nothing. Despite numerous follow-up calls and requests for the CBCT scan files, the practice completely ignored me. Now, out of the blue, they text me asking if I’ve decided to proceed, and they want me to come back for another “free consultation.” This is unacceptable and deceitful. This practice has shown a disturbing lack of professionalism and respect for their patients. I strongly urge anyone considering this office to think twice and proceed with caution. I demand a full refund of the $300 within 24 hours. If not, I will not hesitate to escalate this matter to the Attorney General’s office.

Experiencia fantástica: Went in with tooth pain. Tooth was split. Needed to be pulled. They pulled it and did the bone graft same day!! The hygienist was friendly and talked me through the novacaine shot. Great service! Highly recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: From the receptionist to the assistant to the doctor I have no complaints. I walked into the office for the first time with so much anxiety. That lasted 2 minutes. Everybody is so kind, compassionate, and judgement free. It’s a breath of fresh air walking into a medical office and being greeted by friendly, smiling staff, who even remember who you are for follow up appointments. I only remember a couple names, but shout out to Jessica, Connie, and Danielle! I’ve already recommended this office to both family and friends who have made new patient appointments. 10/10!!

Experiencia positiva: Have a full set of dentures made in 2021 I think, and about a year or more after the bottom cracked and broke. I then had to have another which then cost me $3000 and again they are cracking. I can’t keep spending money like this. For that price they should NEVER crack.

Experiencia negativa: I am very upset with Dr. Fassman, $6500 dollars worth of upset. I had a set of dentures made a couple weeks ago. I wore them home they seemed okay at the time but I soon realized when he was violently ripping them from my mouth during the initial process he had dislocated my jaw. He was repeatedly told that I have a jaw issue. Completely ignored. So when my jaw popped back in, and after a week and a half of my mouth healing from being violently tripped apart because he just likes to tear them out of your mouth, I discovered the real issues. They are off center by about an 8th of an inch I have a quarter + inch over bit which he dislocated my jaw to get. Had he not kept sticking his fingers in my mouth for the bite assessment he would have gotten my actual bit we not a dislocated bite. It is nearly impossible for me to bite a sandwich let alone chew it During a fitting I told him one tooth needed to be lowered. INSTEAD, he had the technician raise the rest. BIG mistake as it seriously limits how wide I can open my mouth to get food between my teeth. I have a very serious choking disorder and the day after I first got my teeth, I was trying to eat a sandwich and choked bad. I had to give myself the heimlick maneuver and stopped breathing. Extremely scary. That is only the second time I stopped breathing. Then there are the extremely painful I look like I had a stroke when I smile with the crooked teeth. He has put my life a risk as I choke every time I eat. I went back today to tell him what the issues are

Experiencia negativa: I called this office to inquire about a routine cleaning pricing. The receptionist who answered the call had to transfer me to someone who could help. The person that picked up hung up the call so I called again. The phone rang endlessly until this female because I can’t call her a lady answered in such a rude tone, as though she was giving me a favor and it wasn’t her Job to answer phone calls. Before I can even speak she mentions if I just called and do I have CDPHP trying to rush me off the phone. At this point I’m confused because I didn’t mention anything of the sort to anyone there and now the hanging up off the phone is making sense to me. Instead of being respectful and handling the call in a professional manner; you screened my call, discriminated against me and allowed your assumptions to gauge how you treated me which is pathetic. Experiencia negativa: I called to make an appt and ask questions and they rubbed me wrong and were rude. Receptions said there taking new patients then said they were with specific insurances. There website says other wise. I repeated multiple times that my fiancé is about to pick a plan and wanted to see what insurance they were in network with and she keeps asking which plan he has. The ability to listen to patients and be coherent was not there for this one. Save ur time guys they only take private health insurance even though there website shows multiple plans.

Experiencia fantástica: I entered treatment interested in a full lower implant treatment. I had only a few teeth left in my lower jaw. My goal was to obtain a full set of teeth in my lower jaw that would be secure and last for years. I began treatment in July and finished my journey in April. When I was fitted with the final appliance I felt a sense of joy. Joy to have a full set of lower teeth that was permanent and stable. The staff at Albany County Dental were outstanding. I sensed everyone’s commitment to my care. The doctor’s were exceptional and did not rush the process. They waited until my implants had fully healed and only then proceed to the final appliance. The practice offers a warm and friendly atmosphere that provided me with a sense of ease. If you are looking for a dental practice that is outstanding then reach out to them for your dental treatment.

Comfortable office setting, did I mention amazing staff? I'm so happy I switched to this office. There is no other like it and you don't be disappointed switching as well. First of all whenever yet another victim posts a negative review, you will IMMEDIATELY see several fake positive reviews all left within hours of each other. This can be best viewed by choosing the "newest" rating option. I recognize no less than 5 seperate employees by name or by photo that have left false positive reviews over the past year alone. This is a violation of Google Terms so I have reported these false reviews. It seems to me if you were a good dental practice you would not have to post fake positive reviews. I even noticed that the owner responded to one negative review and stated that Albany Dental Assiciates and Albany County Dental are not the same business; this is an absolute lie. They are indeed the same business with the same phone number and address . I had a very bad experience with this Dental practice about a year ago, I left a one star rating with no comment, after reading about the woman who was hospitalized with Sepsis as a result of a root canal done by Albany Dental Associates, I decided to add a comment. I pray it will help to protect someone in the future...

Experiencia negativa: AVOID AT ALL COST!!PRACTICE PRESSURES PATIENTS TO LEAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS IN ORDER TO BURY THE VERY TRUTHFUL NEGATIVE ONES. This practice operates under several different names which is quite concerning. Take a moment to read the one star ratings, I wish I had! Had a root canal done here and ended up in the hospital with a SEVERE case of SEPSIS. I was told by my physician that the root canal had most likely become infected from unsanitary DENTAL EQUIPTMENT. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

The treatment I received raised serious concerns about ethics and patient safety. I strongly advise against visiting this practice. I was so distressed by my experience that I considered taking legal action, but I didn't feel equipped to navigate the process at the time. Although I haven't pursued it yet, I'm still considering filing a complaint or seeking legal advice in the future. Patients deserve better care and accountability from their healthcare providers.

Experiencia negativa: Dr Linda has no ears to listen with. She told me the bridge wasn't moving, it just felt like it was. It fell out within 5 weeks. She tells me it's not the anchor tooth, it's the gum that hurts. I'm in so much pain. Both anchor teeth are in so much pain from the bridge moving. I went to her because I have a gap and I couldn't chew on the left side due to a molar that needed to be pulled and replaced. We started on the bottom so I could chew. She pulled that molar and had no plans to replace it. Pulled all front lower teeth for this bridge she talked me into and now I cannot chew. I cannot play the flute. I am way worse than when I came to this place. 12k is what this lesson cost me. Not to mention missed work. Please save yourself. Save your mouth. If you're already in discomfort this place will show you how much more you could be in. I'm much more thankful for the gap I have now. I just need a new bridge from someone that knows what they're doing. Oh yeah, and she'll pull 7 teeth and tell you to take ibuprofen. ** alert, they are doing business under both Albany dental and Albany county dental** they will blame the other business name in answers to reviews, when, in fact, they are the same place. Same address and same phone number.

Experiencia negativa: If I could rate -5 I would. In my opinion this has turned out to be a very judgmental, disrespectful and rude place. I came here when it first opened and the staff were different, I was treated just the opposite as I was the last time I was there. In my opinion the dentist doesn’t care and judged me. I was lied to by the receptionist and referral coordinator. Again, in my opinion I would not recommend them! I hope this post stays up because I do have a right to my opinion, but I should not have been put through what I was by them!

Ripped me off 30K and refused to return any of my money. Now I have to spend another 10K on skin grafts because the implants failed and I need new dentures. They destroyed my mouth, and will not refund my money. They do not honor their contract. They could care less They made my life a living hell for 2 + years.

They did not laugh when I brought a stuffed animal in as a 37 year old adult. They made sure I was in a calm environment, talked me through my whole process and were generally very kind and courteous. I haven’t been able to confidently smile in years and thanks to Albany County Dental Associates, I no longer dread interacting with customers at work. I got same day temps while I wait for my permanents, and I am confident the rest of my experience will be equally as pleasant. Thank you!

They aren’t personable, teeth cleanings are more just like getting your gums poked at, I was told more than once I needed a root canal just to go somewhere to get one done and be told I never needed one to begin with. They don’t actually care about patients, you are just a number.

The following is literal feedback I've received: "It looks like you stole those teeth.", "You would be better off without them."; and from a different dentist, "Were they mad at you when they gave you them." - I'm serious. Before I had my teeth pulled I was told the dentures can be adjusted if there is anything wrong with fit, color, etc., but once they were put in my mouth and it was incredibly obvious how mismatched tooth size was, the solution I was offered was, "you can refuse them but your insurance won't pay for another set". Not only that, but my receipt of them was rescheduled about a month before Covid quarantine; I ended up waiting 3 months for them after having had my teeth pulled. It has taken me this long to post a review because alternative dentistry in Albany is almost impossible to obtain with Medicaid. I had been their patient for about 2 years before needing dentures - strictly cleaning, I liked the location but some of the staff were obviously not right. They pressure you for good Google Review ratings and I had given them 5 stars before receiving the dentures thinking that would ensure good service. The Dental Assistant responsible for the partials was, Connie, and her office's website bio states, "her sense of humor makes her patients feel comfortable, safe, and smiling"; the joke is definitely on the patient and Dr. Lee had approved her work. All in all, one or two competent staff to distract you from horribly irreversible service.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a new patient cleaning appointment recently. I was bery satisfied with my overall experience. Thorough cleaning and exam. The doctors were gentle and kind. The front desk staff was welcoming and knowledgeable! Chong was super helpful setting up my appointment and walking me through my pesky insurance info. I will be back and refer others.

Experiencia negativa: I gave 1 star because there is no option to give zero stars. This establishment is NOT a legitimate dentist office. In the year that I was a patient, any time I entered that office there was an entirely new set of staff members. Besides the receptionists, there were new techs and doctors every single time. Appointments were cancelled more often than not due to “no doctor in the office”. Most recently, I was told I needed a root canal and to schedule it immediately. I decided to seek a second opinion and was told there was absolutely no need for a root canal. At my final cleaning, the doctor never came in to complete an exam, yet it was billed to insurance as a cleaning AND exam. That’s called insurance fraud. Please do yourself a favor and find a different dental office! In response to the dental office: I was a patient in Delmar when this review was posted 2 years ago.

Experiencia negativa: Went to have my tooth bonded on an emergency visit this is not my normal dentist. Worst job possible she didn’t event attempt to shape the bonding to my tooth just left a big lump on it to where it felt unnatural and uncomfortable it was also noticeable . Had my regular dentist fix it today and she could not believe how they let me leave like this and it was unacceptable work.

Experiencia negativa: Brought a denture in for repair of a gold tooth, and I got the shoddiest work with the poorest explanation imaginable..If I could not leave a star at all would be equal to my disappointment..They had me pay for it before it was seen, and given the results I see why..If your appearance is important to you at all, search elsewhere. It looks and feels unnatural. The different color acrylics for the framework is atrocious..I, usually, don't resort to bad reviews but this was horrible, to say the least. Had I a replacement set, I would have called my credit card company to challenge the charge. HEED MY ADVICE OR GET COMFORTABLE WITH REGRET...

Experiencia negativa: This place caused a tooth infection which required extraction and an implant from another establishment. They lied to me back in October having worked on the tooth and confirmed today that the tooth that was in fact Infected, they worked on. I would be careful of this place if you value your teeth and money. If you’re willing to do the drive, I highly recommend Salvatore Dental in Ballston Spa.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is great and they treat patients with a lot of care. I had my wisdom teeth pulled out by Dr. Lee and she is the most efficient and at the same time gentle with the process. Amanda is a great hygienist and she is very thorough with the procedure. All in all I would definitely recommend this dental clinic to everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Linda is absolutely amazing and the girl at the front desk, I think her name is Priscilla is wonderful. Very friendly and right on point. A very peasant experience at a place nobody likes going to. The Asian girl sitting in the back is very rude and has a huge chip on her shoulder. Very bad attitude. Avoid the hygienist at all costs. Zero personality and will try to talk you into a “deep cleaning” which one should avoid at all costs. Also, she has the personality of a box of rocks and she’s very strange and not very friendly. Kinda freaked me a little. Everyone else there is great though.

I needed alot of work done & had arrived at several dead ends with other dentists over the years so I was not expecting much from Albany County Dental. WOW! This office met...no...exceeded my expectations! Not only did Dr. Maiorano listen to me, she came up with afforable solutions and made me feel cared for. In fact the WHOLE office staff was friendly, caring & efficient. Shout out to Jacqueline! The office itself is clean and state of the art. I'm sooo pleased with my New Smile & grateful got that flyer from them in the mail!

Experiencia negativa: Today I experienced the most racist moment in my life. I went to that clinic for a consultation. Since I’m black, the lady don’t even look at my teeth. In their mind, they think I won’t be able to pay. The lady came straight to my face, “ what can I do for you?” I said,”I want to replace that tooth and fix the rest of my teeth “ She just says, “it would be $12000 are you okay with that” I said yes. They still don’t see that I look like that kind of money based on their judgment. The lady asked me, are you aware of that decision. I was so ashamed I didn’t know how to get out from that place. I still want to go back to prove a point. At the same time, the unprofessional kills me!!!! People do better 2022

Experiencia negativa: Every visit was a new experience. I went from 4 root canals to only 2 root canals to 8 root canals. The price per root canal varied on each visit. The last time was $2500 per root canal...up from $1600 the visit before. Nobody will explain anything when you ask. I found a new dentist. No root canals and my issues fixed. What a joke.

Experiencia negativa: Everyone is super nice to work with here, but the dental work is a joke. I didn’t even know bad dentists existed until i went here. It’s basically a dental factory. they get you in and out so fast your head spins. i had a cleaning that lasted 10minutes and i’m no champion brusher. i’ve had plenty of fillings. the one i got here fell off in a month, they didn’t charge me to replace it though. My old dentist is a longer drive but i’m leaving this place and going back. Also after one of my very brief cleanings the hygienist said yeah you can wait like an hour to have the doctor check you over or you can leave.

Walked in the door from a bad experience with my old dentist and they have made me feel like they have been my dentist for years. Unprofessional and unorganized, my brother went there for pre-approved partials, and after FINALLY getting an appointment for extractions, was told he needed to go to a "Hospital Clinic" to have the extractions done, why? Because he is a medacid patient? Because he was on a blood thinner? So what! He had proper clearance and approval from his doctors to proceed with whatever they needed to do, but refused. What kind of a shitshow organization makes someone wait weeks for approval, then passes them along at the last minute? Dr "Linda" needs to return to Dental school and learn to do her job without farming out her work! Don't waste your time in this parts and pieces dental practice!

Experiencia negativa: I previously gave an raving and wonderful review... At first, I had an wonderful experience. During the first 3 visits they were friendly, took x-rays, then extracted 3 of me moulers and an canine. Upon the 4th visit I learned that me moulers didst not need to be pulled. Apparently, because me insurance didst not cover caps nor fillings upon back teeth they simply extracted them without explaining anything. I was not told about the option that I could hath had them capped or filled if I purchased different insurance or paid out of pocket. They never mention it! I found out as they were pulling the 4th moluler. I would hath immediately switched to higher dental coverage insurance if I had known! I shall never get those teeth back. I learned to ALWAYS ask if the teeth be able to be capped or filled before agreeing to an extraction. I never returned after that 4th visit.

Experiencia negativa: Given no pain medication after a tooth pull and no antibiotics. The medications I can get over the counter but no antibiotic??? The people may be nice but they clearly don't think too far ahead... first and last time client.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great dentist that provides excellent care to their patients. The atmosphere is wonderful. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. If you do not have good insurance you will have to pay an absorbent amount out of pocket or through care credit. If you use care credit there is a ten percent up charge .There are no payment plans, but you do get privacy , respect and help evidently. I just feel at this point that life is stranger than fiction , and dentist are stranger than life. Things do not always work out as you hope or wish. The story always changes and the amounts always go higher. Consultations and pain what a perfect mix. I would recommend them to you, because they care.
