Experiencia fantástica: I visited Dr. Anver after frantically searching for an oral surgeon who could see me as soon as possible. This all happened on Thursday morning when I called his office, and Sarah, the receptionist, was incredibly friendly from the start. She informed me that he had an appointment the same day, which I eagerly accepted. Upon visiting his office, he not only boosted my confidence but also assured me that the procedure would be quick and painless. He explained the condition of my wisdom teeth and emphasized the importance of their removal to prevent infection. This was my first surgery under anesthesia, and Dr. Anver gave me the assurance that everything would be fine. The surgery went exactly as he described, and I didn’t feel a thing. One thing I’ll never forget is how he mentioned before administering the anesthesia that he’s a Washington fan (I’m a Cowboys fan), and that went well, haha, kidding, Doctor. The recovery has been good. I highly recommend Dr. Anver’s office for any of your dental needs.

The entire experience was very disappointing. Dr Fortney was the only one helping me calm down. I didn’t appreciate the nurses treating me like a number on a screen, I’m a human being and deserve to be treated like one.

Regarding contracted rate verses what was paid at office Multiple calls , message and even a visit to the office. As of today I left another message. I worked in the industry as well so I understand and was being patient but 60 days is crazy! Luckily my daughter called Texas Center for Oral Surgery! Not only did they fit me in Immediately but performed surgery at 2pm! Experiencia fantástica: Wow, I have NEVER been so impressed with a dental practice. The place is literally spotless, modern and yet feels very comfortable. The front desk person was personable and efficient. I waited like 1 minute and was taken back by Brittany. She did a complete medical workup on me - very thorough and, at the same time, friendly, personable. The doctor came in and Dr. Loh is totally amazing. I felt like I was talking to an old friend. He gave me great detail on what, why things needed to be done. He gave me all sorts of options. A totally nice professional person. Finally, Kelly came in and gave me the cost for an implant. She had all the paperwork lined up, in a nice folder and she was very nice as well. They took a CT to ensure that the doctor had the best pictures of my teeth. Again, a fabulous machine and I saw the detail it provided (even though I didn't understand most of it, it was impressive). I can't imagine any place better to get an implant. If I end up deciding to do it, I will do it here. Totally recommend - an extremely positive esperience.

I came home afterwards and took a nap and woke up with a little bit of discomfort, but nothing like I was expecting. I was guided for all steps - pre-op, post-op, and recovery. The surgery went well and during post-op I was again given guidance as to what to do and what not to do. The care I was receiving gave me comfort and confidence that all would be well. The evening after surgery, and I received a call from Dr. Loh, to check in on me and see how was doing. I’m doing very well a am so thankful that I had a very good Oral Surgeon, and a doctor who cared about me.

Experiencia fantástica: I strongly recommend Dr. Makenzie Fortney, a superlative oral surgeon who practices at Texas Center for Oral Surgery & Dental Implants. As an MD, I have known and referred patients to many surgeons over the years, including two prominent oral surgeons who served as Chairmen of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. I would rank Dr. Fortney in the 99th percentile of all the surgeons I have known. I hold this view after observing Dr. Fortney in action caring for my wife who presented to her with a complex set of problems and a deep reluctance to submit to oral surgery of any kind. Dr. Fortney first impressed me when she took considerable time for a conversation that led my wife to feel they had a very personal bond. Dr. Fortney proceeded to assess her with a careful physical examination and extensive imaging using impressive technology available in her office. My wife really surprised me when she immediately elected to allow Dr. Fortney to schedule a lengthy surgery to replace multiple implants. Remarkably, after the surgery was performed, she went on to need only two pain pills and I attribute that to Dr. Fortney's extraordinary surgical technique. Her mouth and lips were certainly sore but the sites of the implants were essentially free of pain in less than 24 hours. That was nothing short of remarkable. Dr. Fortney personally called me to check on my wife after we got home. She also personally checked with me the day after surgery. Most surgeons would have had an underling check with a patient or left it to the patient to contact someone on call if there were a problem. I rank Dr. Fortney's so highly because of her rare combination of impressive technical skill and genuine empathy—rare, that is, compared to most proficient surgeons who lack her empathy and commitment to bond with a patient. She certainly had compassion for my wife and spent all the time needed to understand her feelings. Finally, I can report that we found everyone in the support staff to be friendly and helpful, but two of them went very far out of their way late in the day when it was time for my wife to go home after her implant surgery. She was still groggy from her anesthesia and at risk to suffer a fall. Krisha Pulley, RDA, Lead Implant Coordinator and Shelby Baker, Treatment Coordinator went well out of their way and escorted us home a half hour away to assure my wife got safely into bed. I will always be grateful for that remarkable help so far above and beyond the call of duty, especially at such a late hour of the day, and leaving them to travel another half hour to get back to their office!

Dr. Loh did a great job explaining what would happen with the extraction of my tooth, and the recovery afterward. The whole staff was extremely friendly from my arrival for a consultation, the exam, explanation of options for anesthesia, pricing, and scheduling, to the morning of the actual surgery, including preparation, 'lights out', and moments later just walking out the door. The surgery was four days ago and I'm still wondering if there will be any real pain (I think I'm in the clear!). The doctor's advice to keep ahead of the pain, using nothing more than Ibuprofen and Tylenol, worked perfectly. Stronger stuff was available if I needed it, but I didn't. I'm not saying the recovery is fun, because you have to be careful of what you eat and drink for several days, but it's been less traumatic than a mild tooth ache. Thanks Dr. Loh, and your whole team!
