Experiencia negativa: Awful! They failed to clean one quadrant, the Dentist failed to address my pain- when even I am smart enough to know I need a root canal! He literally waterboarded me while smoothing a front tooth filling- that he failed to bond correctly and it slid off my tooth after not even 3 days!!!! Never again. Im not paying for this and neither is my insurance!

Experiencia negativa: Before I made the appointment I asked their office if they accepted my discount dental programs and they said yes. But then when I made the appointment and got there they said no even though the dental program said they do. I was told by the front desk that the visit would cost $39. Then while I was in the chair another person came in and told me it was going to be $99. They did however refer me to a dentist close by that I could get good service from.

Experiencia negativa: Received an appointment reminder card and an email confirming appointment. Hired a nurse to care for my special needs daughter and disabled husband. Upon arrival was informed appointment had been rescheduled. No apologies. Said they had a team to contact patients in the event of a reschedule so I must be mistaken. Well no one contacted me, in fact received an email confirming appointment the day before. The least I would expect is an apology and help paying for the nurse! Update; 11/8/2025 - Have not been contacted by the company

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment scheduled with ideal dental and they called me to to say they were couldn't guarantee a teeth cleaning during my visit. I rescheduled as they recommended so I would have a guarantee time slot to get my teeth cleaned. I get there and they claim that my teeth are too clean to clean! It has been years since my last cleaning, I can feel buildup on the back of my teeth. They took something like 20 x-rays and tried to sell me Invisalign and a few other things not covered by insurance. This place has become a scam and I am now looking for a new office that will clean my teeth every 6 months. Avoid ideal dental at all costs!

Experiencia fantástica: Great dentist office. Been going here for about 4 years now, and I've never had one complaint. Some of the assistants can be rough on the cleaning, but I fault them not (since I am a very poor flosser). They're straight to the point, quick to get you in, and don't recommend services that are not needed. That last item is important because some dental offices, especially private offices, will recommend services, not because you truly need them, but because it would help their bottom line. Be wary of that! But Ideal has never done that once to me. I'm more often surprised at how little work I actually need. In terms of cost, I've had periods where I have dental insurance and when I don't, and the prices here are fairly decent. No one in the head office is ever rude, and the head dentist is kind and communicates well on the conditions of your teeth. 10/10

Experiencia negativa: The Dr is very nice. BUT The front desk is all kinds of mixed up. They accepted my insurance but not for their surgeons to extract my tooth. I called for 2 days. The receptionist didn't know what she was doing. NOW it's Friday and they didn't call me back to tell me their surgeons weren't in my network. I had to call and get a sarcastic remark. Why treat people that are poor terrible. NOW I AM IN PAIN ALL WEEKEND. Thank you for not communicating properly.

Experiencia positiva: I went in for a basic cleaning. The dentist was very kind and thorough but decided I needed a deep cleaning that would take several appointments and would cost over $1200. She didn't really explain why I needed it though. When I explained that I didn't have the funds for that and I would do some stuff at home to try and rectify some of the problems before doing that, they just sent me home. I didn't get the service I came in for and now I've used my yearly visit covered by insurance, I have to wait until next year to try somewhere new.

Experiencia fantástica: I went for my annual teeth cleaning today with a new Dentist at Ideal Dental on University Dr. in Denton. I had not seen a dentist since 2022, oops. I was expecting to have a few teeth issues but was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very. friendly and knowledgeable staff starting with the office manager. She found my insurance and verified all my costs and discussed my plan with me. Afterwards, the Dental Assistant was so professional I thought she was the Hygienist. She did all the imaging and explained it along the way. My anxiety lessens with knowledge so this was very helpful. I loved the Dentist who reviewed all the images of my teeth and discussed my problem areas and answered all my questions. She was very transparent about what was necessary now and what could wait till later. All solutions were doable. Then I met the wonderful Dental Hygienist. He did a general assessment then numbed my gums in irritable areas and treated me with kid gloves. Never have I had a cleaning that was so gentle. It felt like a tooth massage. Definitely a good experience and I highly recommend this Dental team.

Ruben, the Perio manager was extremely thorough and made me feel comfortable. He was thorough with the various charges making sure I was totally informed. My experience with Dr.Kulkarni was excellent. He thoroughly explained all the procedures and what to expect. He made the procedures as pleasant as possible. He was always concerned if I was having any pain. I was totally pleased with my experiences at Ideal Dental today. Dr. Kulkarni, Ruben and the entire staff are to be commended.

Experiencia negativa: Unsuspecting patients beware. They will provide service knowing it won't be covered by insurance and won't let you know. For example, they will say "let's get your xray done" knowing that routine xrays are covered only once a year. You, the unsuspecting patient, go along with it because you think it's part of the routine. Well, it's not. They are overselling and will surprise you with unexpected bills. You can be hypervigilant about your insurance coverage, or go to an honest dentist. Why choose the former when there are so many options?

They were able to get me in earlier than expected and listened to all of my concerns, and even eased my anxiety going into the crown prep procedure. I've had Dr Soto a couple of years now and she has always been attentive and prompt to getting me taken care of, especially when I have pain! However, the bad heavily outweighs the good...I experienced issues such as: - Random doctors performing my work and then getting charged out of network, - Being upsold on every little thing, -Having work done and being forced to pay for it after the fact without my consent (illegal), - Receiving service I asked not to have done unless insurance would cover it only to find it appear on the claim anyway, and - Front desk submitting claims to the wrong insurance providers. THEIR FEES ARE ASTRONOMICAL compared to ANY OTHER PROVIDER in the Denton, Texas area. I'm seeing similar reviews for the same company across the state. Please avoid. They demand 5 star reviews before services are even performed which, I'd imagine, is why they have so many, and people just don't come back to update. Review updated to add: I work in an industry that allows me to have fantastic insurance...I cannot imagine what the costs must be for others. Please do your research and avoid. Big yikes. Go so far as to look on employment websites and read the reviews of the people who have worked for the company...they give the inside info and it's much worse than what I've described above. There is a reason they aren't BBB accredited and, the locations that are, have a grade of C- or F.

Did some research, this is a large dental group that pushes overpriced procedures and next day surgeries. Would highly recommend you go to a private practice and get a second opinion from a more reputable dentist.

I had been coming here for a year and a half now and while Dr. Soto is great at what she does the rest of the team are abysmal. I experienced issues such as: - Random doctors performing my work when I requested Dr. Soto and then getting charged out of network - Being upsold that I needed serious surgery for what I just found out to be something minor from another dentist - Purchasing a night guard through them and having it fail in one week, much shorter than a store bought one - Receiving service I asked not to have done unless insurance would cover it only to find it appear on the claim anyway - Front desk submitting claims to the wrong insurance providers - Showing up on time and waiting 45 min + to be taken back until I said something to the front desk And the real kicker was my last visit waiting one hour in the waiting room, being taken back to the chair, only for the front desk to come and tell me I had a past due balance (once again they didn't submit the claim to the right insurance provider) and being told I'd have to reschedule, no messages ahead of my appointment or warning. After rescheduling I had to reschedule again 2 MORE TIMES over the course of multiple months because they still hadn't figured out how to submit their own insurance claims. After the last attempt I went to Argyle Advanced Dental Care and was reminded that there are other options in this area, don't settle when you already are paying so much for your care.

Experiencia negativa: Edited 6ish mos later and dropped from 3 stars to 1 star based on office staff only NOT Dr. Soto: Front office staff matters. I had an appointment today. I was sent a text message reminding me of my appointment around 10 days ago. I called in to confirm my appointment and also to double check when my husband‘s appointment was. At that time I asked if there was any earlier appointments that I could get for my husband and, there wasn’t and so I said to keep both mine and my husband’s appointments the same. When I arrived for my appointment this morning, the office manager said I was not on the schedule. She asked to see a copy of the text message and when I showed her my text, she confirmed that I was at the right location and right time, but that I wasn’t on the schedule and that she would have to reschedule me a month and a half out if I couldn’t come in the middle of the day and miss work. This is extremely frustrating that they gave my appointment time away when I obviously had an appointment and confirmed it and arrived on time for it. Dr. Soto is great but her office staff drive people away. Aug 2024 Honestly, I have typically had a pretty good experience when coming here. Dr Soto is very kind and easy going. But today I tried to call and after waiting on hold for 29 minutes I called back and received a very rude and unapologetic reply from someone named "Desante". Bad office staff can really ruin the customer experience and reflects poorly on the dentist unfortunately. Hopefully he can get some training on basic customer service!

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment and verified that the doctor was included in my insurance coverage. I had to wait a month for the appointment, and just two days before, I called to confirm. To my surprise, they informed me that the doctor originally assigned to my appointment would not be present and that the alternative doctor who could perform the procedure was not covered by my insurance, therefore becoming an out-of-network option. Unfortunately, no other reasonable rescheduling options were available, forcing me to cancel the appointment entirely. This experience was unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: Wasted a day of PTO to come in today for a cleaning and filling and they didnt perform either. Just xrays, got their insurance money, gave me a 4500 dollar bid and sent me on my way. Now I feel trapped to go here or pay out of pocket the money they claimed from insurance. Edit: I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and for a crown. They tried to tell me a tooth that's giving me no problems was more of an issue than a tooth that has an active cavity. I decided to call around and found a different dentist to address these issues and will not visit this place again.

One of the front desk ladies was nice, the dentist was nice & thorough. Took xrays & dentist exam of my teeth took about 30 mins, then they left me sitting there for 45. I thought they'd forgot about me. I took the bib off went to the front desk. I told them I'd been sitting in the chairfor 45 mins & no one came around. The other receptionist said yes I'm working on you exam plan. I iasked about the cleaning & she said they would get to me.i understand if they were busy but 45 mins just waiting the chair, ridiculous. I told her, I was leaving & she said she'd email me the work I need done. No explanation as to way it was taking so long. I never received the email, but I did receive a survey email so I responded. Don't waste your time because they will waste yours!

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Soto is the best! Always so kind and nice! One of the best dentist offices I've been to ever. Highly recommend this location. Update on my review. I really like Dr. Soto. However the billing coordinator is beyond frustrating. She told me I owe $3,000+ for services from July 2024. Wasn't informed until January 2025. The billing coordinator can't even get the information from insurance so she had the audacity to ask me to send it to her! I asked for a precious statement and a doctors note for my child. She never sent either of those! I need to get a cavity filled and a night guard. The billing coordinator can't even verify benefits correctly. She refused to schedule me a future appointment and provide me with a treatment plan. I'm really worried this "bill" that I don't owe, I verified myself with my insurance, will get sent to collections. It's been over 24 hours and I still have yet to receive any type of response.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. A year ago I went here and they told me I had 15 cavities. This didn't make sense because how could I suddenly have so many all at once? Got a second opinion and they said I only had two and most of the cavities that ideal Dental said I had were actually just stains. It is wrong and immoral to take advantage of people like that. I wasn't going to make a review but I'm so annoyed. I have had it with these people who keep contacting me about appointments that I cancelled a long long time ago. What if I changed my number? This just shows how disorganized this practice is. And the worst part is I would have been charged if I hadn't called them back to say that I needed that appointment cancelled.

Experiencia negativa: When I first went to Ideal Dental I really felt comfortable and confident that I would receive good service. The front desk people whom I had contact with were very nice. I went there just a little after I had open heart surgery. So, things were very delicate. I had quite a few cavities to the point I had to have all of them pulled. There was no time to save them. They couldn't risk me setting up an infection. This was in 2022. I am a single parent and times are hard. I have been through a lot. I've always taken pride in my appearance. I have had to pay the amount that my insurance didn't. It's 2025 and I have screws in the bottom of my mouth still. Imagine how that feels being a woman. I went in around May of 2024 to what I thought was the final part of the procedure and I was told in a very rude way that I needed to pay the full balance before the work could be completed. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if I had been told that before I arrived. The way she talked to me was so embarrassing. I had never been treated that way during the whole time I had been coming. I had been paying on it bit by bit anyway. I'm not talking a small amount of money.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter got Invisilign at this office. I was told it was a lump sum payment that would cover the entire treatment. I got a bull for $207 a few months after she started the process. I called the office to question it, but was told it was a mistake and not to pay it. I kept getting bills, so I called the office again a few moths later and was told the same thing. I called a third time a few months later and was assured they would take care of it; it was a mistake and not to worry about it. Not, it has been reported to collections as an unpaid bill. I called the office and someone told me "it was out of their hands." My daughter never received any dental services there, only the Invisilign. The issue with the bill and this being in collections keeps me from recommending this place to anyone else.

Experiencia negativa: It use to be family friendly and nice staff. Front staff makes me feel stupid plus doesn’t acknowledge me. Now they pack the small waiting room. 6 chairs full everyone else has to stand. They have a new dentist which tried to tell me I need a lot of work but the dental hygienist said no you don’t need any work.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience! Loved all the employees and the dental work I needed was taken great care of. All the staff made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. They taught me what was really going on with my teeth and the necessary steps to take for prevention. And I usually hate cleanings, but the hygienist made sure I didn't feel uncomfortable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great dentistry!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This will always be my dental office of choice! Dr. Soto is exceptionally skilled, and a wonderful person. Also, I recently called into for assistance reconciling a bill, and "Z" at Ideal Denton was not only incredibly helpful, but he also noted a minor error (that resulted in said bill). Ideal Dental took full responsibility, reconciled the charges, and left me one happy patient/customer. 10/10!

Experiencia fantástica: Had my teeth cleaned today. Everyone was very professional. My appointment was at 10:00 and I didn't have to wait in the front more than 10 minutes. I was home before 11:30. The staff was friendly and took great care of me.

Experiencia positiva: While my experience here wasn’t a bad one, it wasn’t necessarily great either. The doctor who saw me was Dr. Williams. I am mainly concerned at the fact that i went through that entire appointment and still don’t clearly know what all i needed and what was done. I was given a prescription for my post appointment, and i have no idea what it is or what its for. The doctor spoke entirely too softly, and while she was working on my teeth, so I was not able to speak to ask her to speak up so anything she did say to me, i only caught bits and pieces of. When i was finally able to ask questions she told me it was time to leave. I made a comment at the front desk that i had no idea what was going on, but the sweet woman who was working the front desk couldn’t really help me either. Again, it wasn’t a bad experience, i just wish that Dr. Williams had taken more time to explain things to me, and had explained them where i could respond and ask questions if needed.

Experiencia fantástica: I could not have asked for a better experience here. The staff was incredibly kind, caring, and professional. Dr. Williams was very thorough and compassionate. She made sure I was comfortable and she gave me as much local anesthetic as I needed to manage my discomfort. They all explained every aspect of my care clearly.
