Experiencia fantástica: Good quality of care I've been seeing doctor Yen since I was 10 years old she has always been honest with my treatment and procedures over the years in making sure my teeth are taken care of. Office is clean per usual and I was offered a free to treatment to check my oral health using an oral fitness check which was a nice free service. Overall this office is nice and honest.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing experience with this office, primarily due to poor communication and scheduling practices. On 6/5, I came in for an exam and treatment estimate and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and filling on 6/16 at 10:30 AM. I received a text reminder on 6/13 and an email reminder on 6/15 confirming my upcoming appointment. Neither message mentioned that I needed to call the office to confirm, and neither indicated that my appointment had been canceled. I arranged my schedule around this appointment, including childcare and school drop-off, and arrived at the office at 10:15 AM. After checking in and waiting, I was informed that my appointment had been canceled because the office had allegedly called me twice and left voicemails requesting confirmation. The problem is that I never received any calls or voicemail messages. I verified my phone number with the staff, and they simply stated that the calls were “documented” in their system. What I find most frustrating is that if my appointment was truly canceled, why was I still receiving appointment reminders? Why wasn’t a cancellation text or email sent? Why wasn’t I informed when I originally booked the appointment that failure to return a confirmation call could result in cancellation? Unfortunately, this is not the first communication issue my family has experienced with this office. My husband previously arrived for a scheduled appointment only to be told, after he got there, that there was an issue with insurance verification and he could not be seen. A simple phone call beforehand would have saved him the trip and wasted time. I want to be fair and mention that Dr. Chau was honest, straightforward, and professional during my exam. I have no complaints about her care. My concerns are entirely related to the office’s scheduling and communication process. Whether this was a communication failure or a flawed scheduling system, the result was the same: I took time away from work and family responsibilities and made a trip to the office for an appointment that apparently no longer existed. Unfortunately, I cannot take the risk of having my time wasted again and will be seeking dental care elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: My dentist (Dr Al-Jbara) fixed a chipped front tooth that’s given me trouble since elementary school—it’s needed replacing every 5-7 years. The last one was decent (a rare win), so I was nervous to change it. But I’m so glad I took his advice. He aligned it perfectly with my gum line; it looks completely natural and feels far sturdier than the original. Excellent doctor—highly recommend him and his staff. Veronica was very friendly and helpful too!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience! I was waiting there for my WHOLE scheduled time (1hr 45) before they ever got to me. It was just a normal check up and cleaning. There was a woman that did check with me for the timing, but she ultimately said that they would get everything done during the appointment time, even when I told her I had other plans. I ended up having to cancel my other plans (since this was the only time I could come in for an appointment), but the work they did felt rushed and not thorough compared to my other dental experiences. I don't usually leave reviews on anything, but this left such a bad impression I just had to. Went in for the first time and safe to say I'm never coming back.

They get an A++.This was my first time to this office and I am extremely impressed with the staff and high quality of care and services I received. I am also impressed with the state of the art technology they have implemented into the dental office in order to provide best in class care. I love the App I was able to download to register and fill out forms, so easy, and saves time. Everyone was kind, thoughtfulI, and professional. they explained what their roll was and what service they would be providing me. I have already referred family members.

Experiencia negativa: Called to book appointment as a new patient and was told my insurance was inactive. Called my insurance and verified 3 different ways- online through app, automated phone help and spoke to a live rep and all 3 said ACTIVE! Called office a second time to advise and the nice gentleman verified my insurance info and he said it shows inactive. Advised that I called they verified eligibility and that it was active. Obviously there is something wrong with their system. I decided to call and cancel my appointment because I now had zero confidence in this place. The gentleman that answered said I could have my insurance fax them proof of eligibility. Why not call the insurance like every other office I’ve been to does? Instead inconvenience me and have me call insurance a third time to fax you paperwork showing eligibility. This place is incompetent and I will not be going here! Not the best customer service - no thanks.

The results bring about a more confident smile in me, and the staff (April, Dr. Al, Vanessa, Cherise, Bridget & Lucy) extended that same smile with their service. Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to this dental office for several years, and while they offer a wide range of high-tech services and the convenience of having everything in-house, my overall experience has been frustrating. The practice feels very corporate, and I often felt pressured into additional services—even for routine care like cleanings. What concerned me most was the lack of consistency. Almost every visit, I saw a different dentist, and each one seemed to have a different opinion or treatment plan. It made it difficult to build trust or feel confident in the recommendations I was receiving. At one point, I was advised to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed for what seemed like a relatively minor issue involving a single cavity, which felt excessive and left me questioning the motivation behind the recommendation. Unfortunately, I’ve come away feeling that the focus is more on generating profit than on providing personalized, patient-centered care. While the office may be a good fit for some, it wasn’t the right experience for me.

Great Customer Service. The "Awesome" Bridgette very welcoming and staright on the fees. Dr. Mina and her Assistant Veronica very proffesional made me feel that my tootth ache will be gone. Dr. Mina even gave me a bag of cookies so my blood sugars would be ok since i was very inpatient and scared. Experiencia negativa: This place is a nightmare. They try to sell you on a bunch of unnecessary services and items like mouth guards and special laser cleaning. Then when they bill you they will try to charge you out of pocket for services that your insurance provider clearly covers. My last straw was my wife going in for a deep cleaning only to get an infection from it. Then we had to pay out of pocket for antibiotics for the infection that they caused her. And the cherry on top of it all?! She canceled her future appointment due to this infection and they are trying to charge her $100 for the on time canceled appointment. They are arguing that it wasn't canceled on time and that they will "get back to her" for a resolution when in fact they just keep giving her the run around telling her they will "call her back" while they continue to send a $100 bill our way. DO NOT GO HERE please save yourself the trouble!

Veronica was so quick and gentle with taking my x-rays. And Dr. Yen was so sweet and educated me on mouth-body connection. And lastly, the hygienist Katherine was friendly and gentle doing my cleaning, she even recommended me some at home items to better my oral hygiene. HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing the family here! 10/10

Experiencia negativa: First and foremost, I’d like to say that I don’t have any complaints with any doctors in this clinic. All the doctors I’ve met were really nice and accommodating. It’s actually their front desk personnel that I find upleasing and rude. I needed to have a new crown and I requested if they could submit pre-authorization to my insurance prior to me scheduling the procedure to see how much my insurance would cover. They did send it and received a response that it was denied and that I have to pay eveything. I am with United Concordia (military) and when I called to find out why I was denied of my 50% copay, the insurance told me that there were unncessary documents specifically the explanation of benefits back in 2022 that this clinic sent over and there was no narrative about the Xrays, etc. and so was the reason why it got denied. The insurance advised me and their receptionist (Janice) on 3-way call to resubmit the specific docs. The insurance provided a list of what to resubmit and their receptionist jot down notes. I called to follow up the next day and the person named Alina who was the manager in this clinic sounded unhelpful and rude. She specifically said that she will resubmit it but couldn’t see if there was a narrative because the attachment was not loading, then I said in a worried tone that if she could make sure that there is really a narrative b/c that was the specific document that’s missing according to the insurance. The next thing I heard was she sounded rude speaking so highly of herself saying “I know how to do my job” after I requested to please make sure that it is really there attached if she resubmits it. It was not only one but a couple more employees of this clinic that seemed unaccommodating when I was dealing with my case calling back and forth hoping for them to help you as a patient instead of sounding lazy and not wanting to do anything to help you. They forget the basic role of their job which is to provide “good customer service and be empathetic.” They are unhelpful with unpleasing personalities who didn’t want to do their job which made me decide right then that it’s time for me to find other dental clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I had severe pain in one of my crowned teeth, so I came in for treatment. Dr. Yen removed the crown, then a root canal specialist performed the root canal. After that, Dr. Yen completed the treatment and placed the new crown with a professional touch. I feel so much better now, and everything went very smoothly. The clinic is clean and comfortable. I also had a cleaning with Katherine :) she was incredibly thorough and gentle, and took great care of me. I’m very satisfied with the care I received. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Experiencia negativa: The dentists Dr Yen, and Dr. Mina are very friendly, and provide great care to patients. They have a gentle touch and make patients feel comfortable. The office staff is not so great with patients. I called to confirm the appointments for my for children, which were scheduled in August and September of last year. The office informed me that unfortunately they would have to reschedule two of my children’s appointments for different days, as their office policy did not allow more than two family members to be seen in one day. I confirmed that I would be available that day, as I had it off and would be able to take all of them even at different times. They were firm with their office policy that they would not be able to accommodate more than two family members in one day. This is our fourth family dentist (after multiple moves through California) and I have never run into that issue with any office. I am not sure if this is a new policy, but the office did schedule the appointments for my children, I did not schedule them on their online portal. The office wait times during the summer were great, very minimal, perhaps because they were morning appointments. But the appointments in the afternoon tend to run longer wait times.

Experiencia negativa: Do NOT I REPEAT DON'T GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! SCAMMERS! They will charge you for appointments that are canceled even though you never made an appointment and charge you $100 fee. They always try to sell you on products or produces you DONT NEED! STAY AWAY!

She took her time with me to explain everything she saw on my scans, addressed all of my concerns, and really made me feel like she genuinely cared for my well being. I am someone who is very diligent about my dental hygiene and have been consistently getting checkups every 6 months throughout my life and never have I felt more supported and cared for than today with Dr. Mina. I was going to switch dentist locations since I have moved further from Eastvale but I will absolutely be coming back so long as Dr. Mina is at Eastvale Smiles Dentistry. Very grateful for her care.

Experiencia negativa: Please ensure that you obtain a detailed quote and carefully review the extent of insurance coverage as well as the amount you will need to pay out of pocket before proceeding with any services.$1,430 for X-rays and a deep cleaning, which I found to be excessively high. Additionally, I received a quote of $2,500 for a crown, and I believe that price is significantly overpriced. My appointment was at 01:00pm and I got out until 04:15pm, they only had 1 doctor and a lot of patients.

I've been coming to this dental office for the past 2 years. I'm happy to have been referred to this office. I really appreciate the staff and their patience with their clients. Experiencia fantástica: Meredith, hygienist is awesome. I did scaling today from there. She is very thoroughly clean and scrap my teeth all the areas. I rather do more scaling than irrigation and laser which they recommend it all the time. I hope they keep her longer time in the office cause they change hygienist pretty often. She only works on Friday just let you know it.

I tried calling the number in the reply to this message and they picked up and asked me to hold. It then went to voicemail. I called back and got the voicemail again.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO HERE! This is hands down the most unprofessional and poorly run dentist office I’ve ever dealt with. The staff is rude, careless, and clearly doesn’t value patients’ time. They cancelled my appointment without even bothering to offer me another one, leaving me waiting TWO MONTHS just to finally be seen. When I did get in, it took 45 minutes just to get X-rays, only for them to tell me the hygienist was “too busy” to see me and I’d have to reschedule AGAIN. Absolutely ridiculous. They wasted months of my time and showed zero respect or concern for their patients. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this establishment at all costs. I came to get my wisdom teeth out and was quoted for 60 minutes of general anesthesia. I asked the front office worker beforehand about the quote and she assured me that if the procedure did not take that long, I could get refunded. On my surgery day, I checked in at 9 am and was wheeled out after my surgery at 9:27 am. My family members were taking funny videos and pictures, that would later serve as evidence. It took 4 separate phone calls to get hold of the office manager. When I confronted them about this blatant overcharge, I was met with evasive answers and zero accountability. She informed me that the "system" checked me out past 10 am and that they have "proof" that I was under anesthesia for an hour. Part of their "proof" showed that my surgeon signed electronic notes at 9:31 am and the office manager had the audacity to tell me that he probably just wasn't working in my mouth the whole time. She knows very well that he was completing his notes at 9:31 because I was out of the building by 9:27. This office is completely fraudulent and they scammed me out of hundreds. They have refused to help me and it's so disheartening to experience unethical, dishonest dentistry like they practice here at Eastvale Smiles Dentistry. I remember when Dr. Amy Chau (the owner) would come to my workplace to personally promote her services and attract new clients. For the first few years, the experience was great. However, over time, the quality of customer service and communication has seriously declined. Every time I schedule an appointment, I always book both my exam and cleaning consecutively. However, when I show up, or when I call a few days prior to confirm my appointment, they never have both appointments listed in their system. Despite having confirmation emails for my appointments, we're never on the same page. To make matters worse, my scheduled times are always moved without any prior notification. They're consistently overbooked, and the wait times are unreasonably long. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with these repeated issues, and it's becoming a pattern I can no longer ignore. Today, I had an issue with another appointment I made in August. I scheduled it well in advance (three months prior to be exact) for Saturday at 1:30pm. Today, I got a call from the manager, Crystal, telling me that the doctor's schedule had changed and my appointment would need to be moved to 10:00am or to the following Saturday. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, she then tried to charge me a $100 deposit to hold my appointment because it was on a Saturday, citing a new policy. She explained that this was to "reserve my spot" because they are having issues with too many patients requesting Saturday appointments and then cancelling without notice. Here's my issue: Don't call me two weeks before my appointment asking for a deposit. You should've informed me of this policy when I made the appointment three months ago. Whether it's a new policy or not, patients who booked before the change should not be penalized. To make matters worse, I requested to speak directly with Dr. Chau and asked to leave a message for her to return my call at her earliest convenience so she could be aware of the ongoing issues I've been facing with her office staff. Instead of simply taking my message, Crystal had the audacity to ask if it was about the deposit. She then told me she'd deliver my message to Dr. Chau herself (which I honestly don't trust her to do) or suggested I leave a note through the "My Chart" portal--which most know that Dr. Chau likely doesn't personally read those messages and relies on her staff to handle them. This is not just unprofessional but also completely dismissive of my concerns. The lack of management, poor communication, and complete disregard for clients like me is exactly why I'm now searching for a new dentist. I'm done with this office.

I was a little skeptical because of my social anxiety but they did a great job on my wife's root canal a year ago so I decided to give it a chance! They did not disappointment! Dr. Chau made me feel very comfortable and answered my questions so politely! Over the top was my hygienist Katherine she was super patient and made the whole experience the best it could be! So happy I choice them as my primary dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: It’s been 2 years since my last dental exam! I’ve been busy with life. Finally made an appointment and hoping for no procedures. All I want is X-rays, exam & cleaning. Wishful thinking. Although I had no cavities, I needed a deep cleaning which required a shot to numb my gums. I don’t like to be numb because It’s difficult to swallow. It’s even more difficult when the irrigation water is pooling in your mouth. I would like to introduce you to Katherine, the Hygienist. I explained to her my dental issues and also asked her if she could walk me through the procedure as she goes. Katherine was very accommodating. To my surprise, she whipped out a different type of suction to help me. It’s the shape of a leaf, and it suctions the water the entire time it’s in your mouth. It’s small, flexible, soft, and I couldn’t even feel it. Katherine explained what she was going to do next throughout the 1 hour procedure. Right after the leaf suction went in, I was so relaxed. The deep cleaning was great. I’m so glad I stayed to take care of it instead of making another appointment to come back. If you are anxious about seeing a Hygienist, give Katherine a call and communicate any issues you have, she will help you.

Not only that but the office and the staff are amazing! They have the latest technology to get you a thorough exam. Danielle was great about explaining everything and making me feel taken care of. Even my temporary crowns are more comfortable than my previous one I got some years ago. Sarah was also super helpful and was able to find my future appointments around my busy schedule as a mom of 4 young kids. I have already recommended the office to a few people!

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely hate going to the dentist!!! I work hard brushing, flossing show up for cleanings every 3 months so when I do have to go it’s just a cleaning. Today, I had to have a deep cleaning. I told the RDH, Katherine, I would rather be chased by zombies that want to eat me than be there! To my surprise the process was not awful. Katherine took her time, walked me through everything she was doing and it was almost painless. Kudos to Katherine for the care and kindness she provided to me! I appreciate you.

Experiencia positiva: Love my dentist and almost all of the team are excellent. However, the brunette admin from the front/billing department (didn’t catch her name) was very insensitive, rude, and had an unnecessary attitude when we discussed payment for an extraction due to a failed root canal (that I just got done 1.5 years ago there on said tooth). Financial matters are already stressful, and the last thing a patient needs is attitude from staff while in severe pain, trying to decide whether to move forward with another costly procedure (again, after already having a costly procedure-root canal and crown- done 1.5 years ago there on same tooth). If customer service is part of your job, professionalism should be a given. I did not appreciate the rudeness and honestly expected a more professional and understanding approach during such a difficult moment.

Experiencia negativa: I don't recommend this place at all. When you go for the checkup, the doctor is taking care of several patients at the same time. I lay there with my mouth open, waiting for the doctor to come for nearly 20 minutes. Until finally I got angry and chose to leave directly, the nurse stopped me and called the doctor. Then they made an appointment for me to have my teeth extracted without my consent, which I didn't need. So when they called me, I refused. But they still asked me to pay $100. Oh, and their teeth cleaning service is just flossing, don't be fooled.

Experiencia negativa: They harrass you to make appointments but then make you wait over 30min. Don't waste my time, if you're not going to honor the appointment time. The receptionist tried to ask me medical questions when she's not a dentist. Never going back here.

I can’t express to you how amazing the team was from helping me calm my anxiety to addressing concerns and questions I had. Thank you to everyone that I talked to and laughed with. Experiencia negativa: Worst Experience ever. Do not recommend this office and Dr Amy. Her and office workers are not on same page. My husband had an appointment to extract teeth there. The doctor forgot to extract one planned tooth. This is unactable, this shows how unprofessional this office is. Please beware since doctors do not know what they are doing.

Experiencia negativa: 1. The office manager conducted her scheduling abysmally because she does not fix appointment issues in a timely manner. If you don’t call you won’t know. 2. Additionally, I believe they intentionally and deliberately fleece the public by inflating prices. I’m worried about the people who don’t know how to check their fees. It unethical. The male dentist at this office is top-notch, but the management person and front office attendant need training. There are many other kind and amazing “professionals” within this office ( X-ray tech, teeth cleaners etc). Please hire a better office manager for your awesome facility. Keep fees honest. The manager is so unimpressive and disrespectful of people’s time and money. I’m writing this so that they can do better. I am so disappointed in the disrespect of this facility. Thoughtless and careless.
