Experiencia fantástica: I originally came in to have a chipped tooth evaluated, but I left with far more insight and care than I expected. Not only was Dr. Rodrik honest in telling me that the chipped tooth didn't need treatment, but he also identified moderate periodontitis and a misaligned filling on another tooth that had led to cavities. These issues were completely missed by my previous dentist. This led to a deep cleaning performed by their hygienist, Tom. He was incredibly thorough and made the entire process comfortable by regularly checking on me, explaining each step, and ensuring I understood why certain procedures were being performed. Dr. Rodrik also communicated my situation clearly to Dr. Perez, who did an excellent job replacing the misaligned filling with a crown. The entire staff, especially Bella, were welcoming, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. Bella was particularly patient with my questions and took the time to address all of my concerns. The clinic itself is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art technology that helped me better understand my dental health and treatment options. It's also larger than I expected, which likely explains why appointments seem to run so efficiently. I rarely saw more than one or two people waiting before being called back. This is easily the best dental experience I've had and has become my go-to clinic for all future dental care.

He was really patient, informative, and made me feel comfortable as someone who hasn’t been to the dentist in a while. I was able to get a crown made and placed same day which was really convenient. Tom the RDH was super kind and answered all my questions. He did a deep cleaning that was super thorough and not painful. Miangel helped answer all my insurance questions and broke down all the pricing with full transparency. Daisy and Cassandra and Ash also assisted with my x-rays/cleaning and were super helpful. Overall great experience, looking forward to my next appointment!

I drew a line when I felt like I couldn't breath during a procedure because I had so much cotton in my mouth. A friend referred me to West Covina Dental. After 2 years of not going I HAD to go due to a toothache. West Covina Dental, specifically dental hygenist Tom listened to my concerns and anxiety from my last bad visit. He's mindful, genuinely cares to set his patients at ease. He communicates well and provides a pleasant experience.

Experiencia fantástica: It wasn’t that long ago that a was looking for a new dentist as my previous dentist was leaving me dissatisfied for multiple reasons. I found this dentist in West Covina hoping for a better dentistry experience, and this is by far the best service I’ve ever received. First off, they are very advanced than your average dentist; my smile is leaps and bounds better, due to the equipment and procedures that they utilize. Dr Avrand and the hygienist Maria are both very caring and passionate about the work that they do for their patients. They strive to get you the best smile possible. And the specialty coordinator Juliette always helps me with financing, attending to all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a new Dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I spoke to Jasmin to set up a general cleaning which is covered 100% by my insurance. She quoted me $100.00 for service and a co-pay. That's crazy I never pay that much! She then said I'm on a special cleaning plan and that's why its $100.00. Long story short I had to call my insurance and put Jasmin on the phone so they can explain that to her. I DON"T PAY ANYTHING! This place will take advantage of you! Be aware!

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment scheduled and ended up waiting much longer than expected before being seen. I understand delays happen, but there was little communication about the wait time, which was frustrating. My original appointment was at 4pm, they called me the day prior and asked me to come in at 3pm. I didn’t see the Dr. until 4:35pm. What was the reason for having me come in earlier? I hope the office improves scheduling and communication going forward. Nonetheless, I had a much more positive experience with Dr. Natasha. She was amazing.

Experiencia negativa: One star for issues with billing, invoicing and communication. My husband went here and got a ton of work done. It was done over the course of roughly 2 months with a total of 6 visits. The office required payment for the scheduled work up front. So we paid $4,500. Months after the work was completed we get an invoice saying we owe $1,400. Call them and speak to what seemed like an off site rep and ask for them to explain the bill as the bill just had a number of what we owed and no indication of what it was for. They said they’d call back but didn’t. I call again and speak to someone who said our insurance denied some of the work. That they tried multiple times to push it through but kept getting denied. So for 2 months they let my husband come in, get the work done and never tell him he owes money or they’re having trouble getting something approved from our insurance. They say it’s insurance responsibility to inform us. Insurance says it’s theirs. Love that game haha. I ask for a breakdown of the work done, cost and what exactly was denied so I can call my insurance. They said they’d send and never did. Now we’re in collections for the $1,400 that was never communicated during our 5 visits after the initial visit and we still don’t even know what it’s for/what work was denied. We should have listened to all the other reviews about their issues with billing/insurance. They’ll happily say you’re covered, charge you up front for everything and then send you a mysterious bill with no explanation what’s so ever. Then they’ll happily never fully address your follow up questions/communication. I wish we could say we’re a once off situation but it’s clear we’re not. Aside from others who leave reviews, imagine how many people just accept this or never speak up.

I was lucky I didn't want to pay out of pocket, so I waited and went to see other dentist. They told me I had nothing. What a Rip Off to the people. I had no idea how this place got 4.5 out of 5 ratings here. Such a shame for people who didn't know they're being scammed. So sad and that's how these scammers make money

Experiencia negativa: This dental group is not honest. The charge for root canel is $ 1500 with Delta PPO. I went to other dentist for second opinion and they only charge $237 for the same treatment. Please don't go this clinic and they also threaten you , your tooth will get worse if you don't do the treatment right away.

Experiencia fantástica: Just had a cleaning done here. I’ve been comjng here for half a year just about. Cool people. Good work. Always feels like they’re transparent and communicate procedures well. Tom was a pleasure. Asked questions about my crowding, cleaning, concerns and always made sure I understood what was gojng on. Also gave really cool advice on using a water flosser and maintaing oral health.

Experiencia negativa: 12/05/2025 PLEASE AVOID IF YOU CAN. This place is PREDATORY. Beginning of November my wife had root canal done, prior to this at the check up they did not get complete informed financial consent from us and did not disclose the fact that our insurance covers a metal crown at $300. Instead I did not question the cost and paid $1200+ for a ceramic crown because my wife was in a lot of pain. Upon calling the insurance and this office, we were able to FIGURE OUT and change the upcoming appt to metal crown and we will be refunded the difference (after numerous calls and arguing). However on the day of the appointment on November 19th, the doctor strangely keeps insisting her getting a ceramic crown and how much he "believes in it" and even offered a "free upgrade." The doctor showed us a pic on Google of "metal crown margins" and how bad it is, but upon our own research this is caused by incompetent dentist who does not fit the crown properly or other conditions such as gum recession (which doesn't apply to my wife we both are not even over 25). My own metal crown I got when I was in the military is perfectly fine after 4 years and my ceramic one actually cracked after 6 months right before I got out. My line of thought is this is a FOR-PROFIT business, they are not charity so why would they give free upgrade to something that's almost a grand in cost difference? It's most likely damage control because they hope we don't fight it and they simply NEVER ORDERED the metal crown. Or that we wouldn't pursuit this further and tank the cost of over a grand and just shut up. Mind you, in between all this, I've call the dental office DOZENS of times, I've always been dismissed or told I'll get a call back, which I never did. The "office manager" is never at work or too busy. And the TWO TIMES out of the dozens of calls I was able to get her on the phone she hung up on me. Today, the office manager said she'll call me back at the end of the day. Which she probably won't. I m not even mentioning all the other smaller things like their chubby finance lady rolling her eyes at us asking about the refund, poor attitude from staffs, being dismissed, being LIED to, etc etc... This is beginning to look and feel very illegal. I've been patient, respectful, courteous despite feeling frustrated and angry; this past 2 months, waiting and waiting and waiting, and we are beginning to think this place needs some kind of audit. No normal dental practice hangs up on their patients and keeps avoiding to resolve the issue. EDIT: Today 12/06/2025 I delivered small claims court letter warning them I will file lawsuit if they continue this behavior. Guess what? The manager called us back within 10 minutes of me leaving and saying “oh I called yesterday to tell you refund is processing but no one picked up.” (She did not) When we insisted that she did not, she hung up on my wife lol. This farce is like middle schoolers’ drama. Only when there’s potential consequences they hurry up and resolve the issue. Shame.

Experiencia fantástica: Tom did my cleaning today. He did a great job very nice. Dr Rodrick was very helpful with fixing my partial. Natalie in financial office is always very helpful. All the girls at the front desk are very nice.

Experiencia fantástica: This dental office was such a great experience. From the front desk staff to the assistants and doctors !!! I was able to get in same day and they took my insurance no issue! I had to get a crown and a consultation with the perio specialist I was scared at first but the doctors and hygienist gave me so much reinsurance and knowledge on oral health and how it really does affect our overall health. Thank you team you guys are amazing!
