Experiencia negativa: I visited this office expecting a routine exam, X-rays, and a standard cleaning covered by my insurance. I clearly communicated that I only wanted the standard cleaning and wasn’t in a place to pay for extra treatment. After the exam and X-rays, I was told I needed a “gingivitis therapy” cleaning that would cost extra out of pocket. When I asked to proceed with the standard cleaning, I was told it wasn’t allowed, as it could put the dentist’s license at risk. It felt crazy and neglectful that I couldn’t get the basic care my insurance covers. I left without any cleaning, which was frustrating since that was the main reason for my visit. I understand recommending extra treatment, but the lack of flexibility and patient choice was disappointing. I would have preferred to receive some cleaning rather than nothing at all. Overall, it felt like a waste of my time and my insurance benefits.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a dental patient of Wheatland Dental for 16 years and often boast about how I have an amazing dental hygienist in Kim Zolezzi. Kim had been the best in terms of “chair side manor” and elevating my dental health to levels that I have not experienced in the past before being her patient. Kim stays current on all of the most progressive trends in dental hygienist care and is always responsive to any concerns of mine or that of my dentist. She has a delightful personality and certainly a great conversationalist which only adds to the overall pleasurable dental cleaning experience. I recommend Kim highly to other potential patients and am confident that you will have one of the best dental experiences. It is important not leave out of this review also how amazing Wheatland Dental’s staff is. From it’s dental assistant Vega and it’s office administrative staff, the service is excellent. Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Wheatland Dental for well over 15 years. They’ve taken great care of me there. My DENTAL HYGIENIST- KIM Z. is EXCEPTIONAL! She is such a sweet, caring person who exudes positivity. While working on me, she is very gentle doing her cleanings. She’s very thorough! She always goes back multiple times to make sure she gets everything nice and clean and SMOOTH feeling! I really appreciate Kim checking in with me to make sure I’m ok as she’s working. She’s very considerate about my comfort and well being. Having worked with Kim for so long, I know she’s truly concerned about my overall well being too. She certainly knows the health of my gums and teeth very well. She saw me years ago when I had great inflammation in my body. At that time my gums and teeth started showing signs of distress. After years of hard work getting healthier, my inflammation is now greatly down. Kim tells me proudly how wonderful my gums and teeth look. That makes me very happy! With her suggestion, I’ve gotten fluoride treatments to help protect my gums/teeth. I appreciate Kim looking out for me and my health. Experiencia fantástica: If I could give their staff more stars than just five I would do it in a heartbeat! Kim, one of the many talented hygienists at their practice, has been maintaining and cleaning my teeth for the last 15 plus years is absolutely amazing. She is probably one of the best dental hygienist anywhere in the country, not just from a technical standpoint, but also from a customer service standpoint. In my line of business she's considered Five Star, Five Diamond. I own a convention planning company and send a tremendous amount of business to hotels like Ritz-Carlton, Four seasons and other Five-Star, Five Diamond properties all around the world. And when I say that Kim's level of service is at parity with the same service levels I receive from hotels like the Ritz-Carlton & Four Seasons is an understatement. When she finishes with your gums and teeth they will be shining like diamonds and stars!

Experiencia negativa: They are friendly and there dentist are able. The problem is they treat you as a number and miss things a lot.. when they make a mistake they will do little or nothing to fix it… I scheduled a check up for pain was having. They told me everything was all good and I just need a deep root cleaning. I knew this was problem not correct but I scheduled it anyway. While I was in the chair on my next appointment I mentioned around 5x the pain I was having and I thought it was a possible infection. She stated that is incorrect everything is ok over there. I ask basically beg if someone else can check. Maybe it’s possible that they missed something. They again told me no issues and finished the deep root cleaning. After the next few days my pain got even worse. I was about to take my self to the ER to see what is going on. Before I did I called them one last time to quadruple check. They then had me come in and test me for TMJ. They told me it has to be something else and not my teeth. About 20 min into the appointment the dentist finally does a heat check and bam!!! Finds out I do have a infection and I need a emergency root canal that they missed and they can’t do. So the next day I get the root canel done.. The issue is this office missed this on 2 almost 3 appointments. They also had me have an infection for 30 plus days without catching this. It did show up on x ray. They also could have done the heat check that only took 10 seconds to find out they are missing things…. The other issue is they spent all my insurance money on something I didn’t need now. I needed my pain to go away not a deep root cleaning. I would highly recommend you think before using this office. They did nothing to help me after there mistake . They just tried to cover it up like the infection came over night and I have no idea what I am talking about. They did nothing to help me but what they wanted to do to make money. They didn’t listen or do there jobs properly. 2 star dentist office on yelp for a reason they deserve lower for what they try and pull. When you make a mistake you make it better period. This office does not or will not do that. They used up all my insurance and out of pocket money on a procedure I may have needed but certainly not while dealing with an infection. This place really dropped the ball and worse off they did nothing about it.

Everyone makes you feel right at home Emma my dental hygienist is the absolute best very thorough and explains everything that’s going on. Dr Marsala absolutely wonderful went over all my X-rays explains everything in detail . I found my forever dentist at Wheatland. Experiencia negativa: All our family has been coming here for about 6Yrs now. Recently they changed the policy to start charging for no show. I have been sick and didn’t call in. I can understand why they charge but they need to understand there will be some days we can make it. There were several times I had to wait for 30-45 mins to be called in for myself or any family member and we understood the situation and never complained. If their time is valuable so is ours. I’m against unnecessary charges for good customers who show up every time for all appointments

Experiencia fantástica: Today was my first visit to the Wheatland Dental care. From registration to the end of my visit I had a heartfelt feeling of gratitude that I finally came to the right place. Although I had been over with other dental care facilities but coming here I felt welcomed and encouraged to see the best of all. I was accompanied by Vega to the examination room. She was very polite caring and pleasant, after doing the initial required X-rays the second person who came to the room was Kim, with a smile on her face and positive attitude she explained each and every step she was going with to make me comfortable. Finally I was seen by Dr Marsala who carefully looked over my X-rays and explained me everything about my dental health care and said will come up with a plan on my second visit scheduled with him Will also be seen by Kim in next two days. I was so happy with how I was cared about by Kim and Vega and Dr Marsala that I could not get out the office without giving them Hugs Get to meet the office Manager on way back and the girl who made my appointments promptly also introduced themselves with a smile One again Thank you everyone for your kindness and making my visit so special and feeling of being in a right place

Experiencia negativa: I had a refrigerator that was being delivered at the same time as the dental appointment. I called to cancel my dental appointment and reschedule, but I was told I was being charged a $50 rescheduling fee. Asked for all dental records as I will no longer be using their services again. They seem to want to make a box anyway possible. Bad management bad practices.

Experiencia fantástica: First of all, if you work, these guys are great because they have appointments from 8AM until at least 6PM, so you’ll definitely will definitely have time in your schedule to work with them. Secondly, I’ve had a lot of fillings done in my life. Almost every time, I have to go back later to fix my bite because the dentist left some high spots. Not this time! I went home after my appointment and all I could think to myself was, “Wow, my teeth feel great!” Needless to say, I had very little discomfort, which is saying something considering I had 3 fillings done in my molars and some material removal from my front teeth. They did an excellent job, and they were very transparent with pricing. They told me the cost of everything that they were going to do before doing it, so I didn’t have any surprises when payment was due. Also, with my insurance, I felt that the prices were more than reasonable. I would highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: The billing department is a total joke. I received a bill the last week in April 2025, stating I had a balance 60 days outstanding. Was a surprise to me, because this was the first bill I received this year. I went into the office in early May asking when did they send the first original bill. The reception told me via email. Informed her I did not sign up for ebills, and past practices bills were sent via US Postal service. Informed the billing clerk that I will pay the total balance on May 30th 2025 and to note my account. This past weekend I received a final reminder notice dated May 17th 2025 stating I must pay 10 day of the date shown on the letter, or they are going to send me to the collection agency. How are you sending me to an OCA when you have not rendered the first original bill until April, also had a discussion with your billing clerk on the exact date when I'm making the full payment. This happened to me before where one bill was produced that I received, and sent to an OCA for 60 days outstanding, and no manager returned my call and you can never speak with a live billing agent over the phone. I have had dual insurance all my life now all of a sudden I have these surprise charges to pay more out of pocket, when I've paid my deductible, not being able to give me a firm estimate, of their treatment plan prior to the work. From past experience working in collections, normal businesses send customer to the collection agency 120 days, but your establishment send customers at 60 days on the first noticed ever received. Very poor billing and collection process.

Experiencia negativa: I like the Dental Hygienists and the Drs (but I get a different Dr. every single time so I think it lacks consistency) but the Office and Billing staff are an absolute nightmare. I have been with this office for five years but the events in the last week have pushed me over the edge and I will no longer be working with these guys. A few years ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed and I paid an hefty upfront fee. A few months later I was going through my insurance dental claims and I realized that the insurance paid Wheatland a lot more than expected and I was owed $700. When I asked the billing staff if they would have paid me back if I didn't call? They declined to answer....pretty sure that they are sitting on $100,00's of dollars of overcharges. Same thing happened with my cavities two years ago. I let it go again. However last week, the billing staff called me and demanded that I pay my sons wisdom teeth removal cost of $1,600.00 that happened 11 months ago (June 2024). I was very confused because this was the first I ever heard of it and Insurance was to pay the cost. I called my Insurance and they told me the claim was not submitted by Wheatland. I called the billing staff and asked to speak to a manager - I let her know that I was not OK with the demanding and demeaning tone of her staff when I was not even aware there was a problem for 11 months. She told me she would conduct an audit and contact me back in a few days (which she did not - I had to call her) Additionally, lo and behold, the Insurance paid the claim in the next few days as it seems Wheatland finally submitted it but according to Wheatland it was the Insurances fault. and guess what? I overpaid again. Wheatland had to pay me back $160. Bottom line....it seems they are habitually overcharging to make more profit. I'm pretty sure people are not checking as meticulously as they should regarding the overcharges and Wheatland is taking advantage of that. Three strikes was it for me....I'm done. Plenty options out there.

Experiencia negativa: Just called to cancel an appointment. I am very disappointed. I was on hold for 25 minutes for a 2 minute conversation to cancel the appointment. There was no acknowledgement of my wait and no apology. Additionally if you try to call the billing office they never answer the phone and do not return phone calls after leaving a message.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and quick. Experiencia negativa: My whole family has been with Wheatland dental since late 90’s. We used to have generally positive experience with this clinic although there were some issues before, such as a reckless surgeon cut deeply off a piece of a my mouth when he was pulling my wisdom teeth while taking his upcoming vacation with his assistant quite a few years ago. Because I liked one particular dentist and the clinic in general then, I excused the clinic for this terrible incident. However, since last year, three events that made me thinking the clinic started to slide downward. First, the dentist I liked suddenly left the clinic, second, I was pushed to pay a bill while I was trying to understand it. Apparently, the clinic quickly lost its patience to explain my inquiry and passed the bill to a debt collection agency. Even though I paid the bill in full in the clinic, I still received an intimidate letter from the collector. By the way, the time from my receiving a first bill from the clinic to the time receiving a letter from the debt collector is only less than a month! This is also my first time to deal with a debt collector! Third, I recently had a dental filling there. I did not expect this simple procedure was done poorly. Somehow, the dentist drilled too close to my nerve. After the num was gone, I felt my tooth becoming very sensitive and painful . I went back to see the same dentist. She simply said this kind of discomfort can last for a month or even for a year. I do not believe this is a professional and responsible explanation. Now, I am still suffering. It seems I have to go through complex and expensive root canal to fix this problem.

Dr. Marsala was the first dentist I've ever seen that had great recommendations and solutions to a recurring issue I've been having since I was a child. He and his hygienists, Kim and Destiny listened without judgement and came up with solutions. My cleaning was thorough and comfortable. I will recommend this office to everyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr DeLeon and her whole team are 10/10. I brought my 2.5 year old in today expecting no issues due to the previous appointment going well. No…. My toddler SCREAMED at the top of their lungs and refused to even take their coat off. Every staff member met us with kindness, compassion and understanding. They were so patient as they tried everything and never got annoyed with us. So glad we found this office!!

Experiencia negativa: This clinic billed my insurance over $400 for the typical biannual check up/cleaning. This is outrageous to say the least. My wife and I frequent this place for a while but absolutely no more. More importantly, they have been contacting me non stop regarding a crown replacement that is subject to approval of a specialist who retreated a failed root canal. Despite informing them that I need to see the specialist to confirm the retreat is successful and an implant is not needed before proceeding with a new crown, they claim that it has been okayed by my specialist which I haven’t even seen for a check up. This happened not once or twice, but three times. Disappointing and alarming unfortunately.

Experiencia negativa: I have always had positive experiences with the dental care provided at this office. Cleanings, cavity treatments, and tooth extractions were handled professionally, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. However, I will not be returning to this practice nor recommending it to others due to the way their billing department conducts business. I had an outstanding balance since the beginning of the year because my insurance required additional documentation, stating the charges were part of an implant treatment. I made multiple calls and left voicemails with the billing department to ensure the narrative was sent to the insurance company, but even after months, this was not addressed. The billing staff was rude and unprofessional during these interactions. To make matters worse, the outstanding balance was passed to collections despite assurances that it had been pulled back. The amount sent to collections was also incorrect. This level of mismanagement and poor communication is unacceptable. I strongly urge the practice to reevaluate how their billing department operates to avoid similar frustrations for future patients.

Experiencia negativa: My experience with this office and Dr Marsala was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. After my initial consult for TMJ, creating a treatment plan and sending me for a sleep study, they completely cut off communication. Despite repeated attempts to contact Dr Marsala, I received no response whatsoever. I should have recognized Dr. Marsala’s unprofessionalism from the state of his office during my consultation. The space was completely disorganized, with papers and dental molds scattered everywhere. This lack of follow-through feels like outright patient abandonment. I’m left in pain scrambling to find another provider to continue my care, his neglectful behavior has caused unnecessary stress and delays in addressing my dental health concerns. I debated for weeks about whether to post this review, but if it helps even one person in pain decide to seek care elsewhere, then it’s worth sharing. Alexis was my dental assistant and she did an excellent job and really made me feel at home. Dr. Sawwan was also amazing - she did a great job with cleaning my teeth thoroughly and filling a cavity quickly and painlessly. Experiencia negativa: After many years of going to Wheatland Dental, I’m extremely disappointed to find myself reconsidering whether to continue bringing my family here due to ongoing issues with the billing department. The frustration has been mounting for quite some time now, primarily due to the inability to get in touch with a live person when I have billing questions. Every time I call, I’m sent straight to voicemail or given another phone number that goes to voicemail, and despite multiple voicemail attempts, I never get a return call. Today, I spent over 15 minutes on hold with the so-called billing department, only to finally speak with someone who transferred me to yet another voicemail. This lack of communication and complete disregard for resolving basic billing inquiries has been incredibly time-consuming and frustrating. While the dental care itself has been fine, the administrative side of things has become such a hassle that I’m now seriously considering taking my family’s business elsewhere. It's unfortunate, but I can’t continue to waste my time on an office that has no regard for effective communication or customer service. Sorry.

Experiencia fantástica: Today I visited wheatland dental office in Naperville and I have nothing but good things to say! My hygienist destiny was the absolute best. I have anxiety going to dentist but she made me laugh and explained everything that would be happening and also ensured me everything would be fine which made my visit even better. She told me at any point if I wanted to stop we could. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly including the office manager Marquita.

From the reception to the procedure itself, everything was smooth. The doctor explained everything clearly and executed the extraction flawlessly. However, the highlight of my experience was the nurse, “ALEXIS”. Her positive attitude, exceptional care, and knowledge of the procedure really stood out. She made me feel at ease, and thanks to her, I almost forgot about the pain. When I later called the clinic for some advice, the response was quick and efficient. Overall, great service—thanks to everyone there!

My dental hygienist is Kim Z. and she has made a huge difference in establishing a routine and getting my gums back to health. She is fabulous!!! To update: Dr.Yazdi, my dentist, is thorough, knowledgeable, caring and she has made quality referrals when I have needed specialists. She is trustworthy and honest. I recommend this practice. It has a conservative and preventative approach. 2024- Still loving the care I receive at Wheatland!!

Dr. Marsala is friendly, but critical which is exactly what you should want for a dentist. Front desk Maria and Marquita were friendly and professional. Always glad to see the staff here for my dental needs.

Experiencia negativa: Dealing with their billing department is more painful than root canal!!! They charged me, in advance, double than what the insurance allow. I have been asking, for more than 2 months, for a refund after my insurance MetLife sent them a payment and they sent me a statement as well but Instead of send me the refund they sent me a fake bill of $99.40. Needless to mention that I called the clinic and their billing department many times then I requested to talk directly to their manager even they promised she will call me back but I have never received a call back yet!!! I have never experienced such agony at this clinic before. It's a clear sign that it's the time to go somewhere else.

For starters, he is a Doctor that sincerely has the desire to help others and will take the time to do what’s right for the patient. Anyone that suffers from TMJ knows the pain that can be endured while having dental work performed. I was initially not sure because it was much further away from my home. But I'm very happy that I stayed on. As this place is a pretty large practice, there is a large staff. But all the dental hygienists there are very friendly and professional. And I've been seen by a couple of dentists there and they seem very caring and knowledgeable. The place looks very well-run and efficient. I would definitely recommend them for their family dental care.

This happened second time. Web site shows clinic open, where as it is closed for last three months I am calling for releasing my $88 refund, every time they say account under review. Billing department not giving answer, several emails wrote by front desk still no feed back, still I have not received refund

Experiencia negativa: Office management is a revolving door the last few years apparently. Be sure to save your bills/paperwork as they'll try to find something to charge you for years later. Also be sure to get everything in writing such as a promise by the dentist or manager for reduced charges or reduced procedures. They'll send it to collections and ignore attempts to resolve it

Experiencia negativa: Not sure why these review systems on any platform don't allow for a "ZERO" star rating. My first & LAST visit to Wheatland Dental Care – let me explain. First, the front office is: Unhelpful. Inconsiderate. Uncooperative. Unwilling to help in any way. New patient. Miserable weekend with tooth issue as anyone can imagine. Spent time researching dental offices in the area with good reviews. Found Wheatland Dental Care and it was nearby. Used THEIR online scheduling system to book a 7:30am with Dr. John Marsala. Over the weekend I completed all the required paperwork. Evening before, morning of, and just before the appt, I received all their emails and text messages confirming the 7:30am appt. Everyone loves a 7:30am Monday morning visit to the dentist right?? 7:15am, receive a voicemail from Wheatland Dental Office saying my appointment was canceled due to the Dr. not coming in now until 8am and the 8am appt was already taken. They arbitrarily rescheduled my appt for 9:30am (without asking or checking my schedule). Phoned the office, explained my schedule, and advised I would like to be moved to 8am and that their office simply needed to rearrange other appts to somewhat accommodate everyone in this situation. Was told the doors open at 7:50am. I advised that I was going to come to the office and be ready for the 8am slot. Front office did NOT advise that this wasn’t going to work for them or the Dr. They in fact said they were going to call the Dr. and advise him of the scheduling conflict so he was prepared and could perhaps be in slightly early. Being considerate to the staff, no breakfast, no coffee, nothing. Brushed twice and headed to the office. Arrived, doors open, went in. Faced an unhelpful, inconsiderate, uncooperative, and unwilling to help, front office staff. In a very smug manner, was told that the Dr. said he was not going to see me and to reschedule for an entirely different day. Unhappy – YES. Go back or refer this practice to anyone else – NOPE.

I have worked at the same place for 18 years and have been going to Wheatland for as long. I phoned my HR and got the info, but why is this happening? Plus the appointment was scheduled for a month. I feel like there are office issues lately. Very frustrating.

Experiencia fantástica: I've beenhoing to wheatland dental for over 20 years. They have some of the best dentists. Dr. Yazdii is who I usually see and she is kind and very experienced dentist. My kids see Dr. DeLeon and absolutely adore her. All the dentists I have seen throughout the years there have been excellent. Experiencia negativa: I went there for routine dental cleaning and they did an extra X-ray without my permission that is not covered by my insurance and then stuck me with a bill. Routine X-rays are covered by my insurance. They did a no routine X-ray. I called their office and billing department and no one returned my phone call. No other dentist before this has ever done that. Dentist Marsala was very rude during the visit. I’m switching dentist and going where my family goes instead. Don’t go here as this office will ring up your bill and do things without your knowledge and try to swindle you for money.
