Experiencia positiva: The waiting area may look pleasant, but the overall energy of the place is unsettling. The front desk experience is particularly frustrating—staff seem more focused on projecting authority than providing efficient service, often spending 15–20 minutes fumbling through the calendar just to schedule an appointment. In addition, the office staff's inability to address simple matters with the Insurance company, i.e. system generated letters is quite appalling. I was bombarded with calls making mountain out of mole hill. And that's been a repeat pattern here. The dentist’s choice of loud, clunky jewelry is distracting and inappropriate during procedures. During my recent crown appointment, instead of concentrating on my care, the dentist was busy chatting with his assistant about personal matters like family weddings and children. His dismissive attitude during the crown color selection was the peak of arrogance. To make matters worse, I was subjected to a painful cleaning that should have been handled by a hygienist. It felt more like a performance than proper care—one of the worst cleanings I’ve ever endured. Ultimately, the rude atmosphere and lack of professionalism from an insecure and inexperienced team have led me to take my care business elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Dr. Frank Cimato's office in Stamford, CT as a new patient with quite a few dental issues and a lot of anxiety about starting with a new dentist. From my very first visit, Dr. Cimato and his entire staff made me feel at ease. I found Dr. Cimato to be gentle, caring, thorough and a very skilled dentist! He took the time to explain about my procedures and treatments while working on creating a long-term plan for my oral health. I met Carmen the Office Manager on my second visit. Her friendly smile and approachable demeanor was incredibly welcoming! The Patient Care Coordinators, Yesenia and Olesia are awesome! They greeted me warmly, checked me in quickly, scheduled my future appointments, and addressed any immediate patient concerns I had with payments and insurance. Jenn and Ryan are both fantastic Dental Assistants!Jenn made me feel less anxious and relaxed before my examination. I appreciate how understanding and reassuring she was while prepping me for my dental check-up with Dr. Cimato. Ryan was great at taking my very first CT scan of my teeth. He was quick, efficient, and very professional! During my first visit I met Ashley my Dental Hygienist who is extremely personable and easy to talk to! She described what she would be doing and what to expect during my cleaning. This information helped to minimize any discomfort I thought I would be feeling and made this experience much easier than I expected. For the first time in years, I feel hopeful about my dental health. I am grateful to have found this dental group because of it's convenient office location, acceptance of my dental insurance plan and comprehensive dental services. I recommend this amazing team at Harbor Point Dental Group for anyone seeking exceptional dental care and a truly positive experience!

After more than one terrible experience at Trusty Dental in Stamford, I took a long time researching other dentists in the area and spent ample time reading reviews prior to switching. I’ve now been to Harbor Point Dental twice and have only positive things to say. Dr. Guido is a pleasure. As a nervous patient, he was calming, reassuring, attentive and very friendly. He is a wonderful doctor. The office is lovely and incredibly clean. The staff is friendly and even called me prior to my second appointment to inform me exactly what my out of pocket expense would be, I’ve never had a dental office do that before. This had been an incredibly positive experience. The environment is warm and welcoming, and I truly felt comfortable and at ease throughout my visits. Experiencia fantástica: I went to harbor point dental for a cleaning and some work. I'll be honest haven't seen a dentist in awhile and I can be tough to deal with! I ask a lot of questions and all these dental and medical insurances are confusing. I was frustrated and admittedly took it out on the front desk staff. The Manager popped up behind the wall and personally came out and broke down my insurance coverage. She went above and beyond, patiently explaining everything until it made sense. She did address the way I treated the staff, After realizing how I had acted, I made sure to apologize (because I am an adult, Ill take accountability) I also saw the owner dentist Cimatta, who was upfront and honest about the treatment I needed. A stand up guy! The lady who cleaned my teeth, Ashleigh was very thorough and explained I need a deeper cleaning, and to stay consistent with appointments. I asked a lot of questions on that, but she provided printouts of what it was and took her time to explain why. Especially reading the reviews I went in prepared to ask questions. But, I gotta say she was amazing!! All this to say, thank you to the entire team for helping me even when I wasn't the easiest to deal with.

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist ever! I’ve been using Harbor Point Dental since I moved here in 2013. The facility is first class, the staff phenomenal and they are always on time. You won’t find a nicer dentist and staff anywhere be it Greenwhich or Stamford. Dr. Chimato knows exactly what he’s doing at all times. You’ll never see him with a bewildered look on his face as you do with some other dentists. Every day he brings his A game there is no such thing as a B game with him. The assistants/hygienists, especially Liz, are just as skilled in their field and attentive at all times. She won’t let your drool reach the floor because she’s day dreaming or checking her text messages....The atmosphere or vibe is always positive. Additionally the waiting area is amazing with a huge salt water aquarium and also beverages if you so choose. Don’t get too comfortable waiting there because almost always by the time I check in settle down and grab my phone, the assistant is calling out my name to take me in.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this dental clinic for a minor adjustment to my fixed retainer, as the bonding glue had come off. The doctor not only reattached the wire incorrectly—tilted downward, completely compromising the purpose of having a retainer—but after just two months, the glue failed again, and the wire detached once more. When I called to ask if they could fix the poorly done job, I received a rude and unhelpful response. I do not recommend this clinic due to their lack of professionalism.

Experiencia negativa: My first visit I got was pleasant and great. However, I had a different dental hygienist during my second visit. During the duration of my visit she offered me 3 different additional services not included by my insurance. I could tell she was trying to push me to do each one, I politely declined. Each time I declined the hygienist seemed to get more offended. The last offer was to push teeth whitening on me, I’m 27, have no cavities and get compliments on how white my teeth are. I’ve never experienced such a push to upsell at a dentist and the negative response of declining. Unfortunate this makes me question if I ever had problems with my teeth, if they would unethically suggest the most profitable procedure for the corporation. And based on my last experience, I feel that is what they would do. Update 8.5.24- there are no lapses in my insurance for regular dental coverage and the response from the company below is false. I was not charged anything extra. They also never reached out on the issue.

Experiencia fantástica: I just had my second appointment with harbor point dental and am very pleased with their service and attention to detail! The receptionist is always friendly and the waiting area is comfortable. I only waited 10 minutes before seeing my dental hygienist, Dalma, who I cannot say enough nice things about. She was extremely kind, a good communicator, and she was very diligent during my cleaning. She also constantly made sure I was comfortable during the cleaning. After the appointment was complete, Dalma reminded me of all of the things I needed to keep up with in order to maintain healthy teeth. She then walked me over to the receptionist to make sure I got a follow up appointment as needed. Overall, in my 2 appointments with harbor point dental I have had a very pleasant experience and I will be coming back regularly.

I walked in and was greeted very kindly, they seated me and I barely waited! My dental hygienist, Dalma, was extremely kind and made sure I was always comfortable during the cleaning. After it was done she made sure I was informed on all of the things I needed to be careful of regarding my smile and how to keep it healthy. She gave me a referral as well to an orthodontist! It was a very pleasant experience and I will be coming back regularly.

Experiencia negativa: ***WARNING**** Scam artists I went in for a cleaning. I was charged hundreds of dollars for X-rays , and other services I never agreed to. When I asked if the services being done to me are under the visit of a cleaning, I was told yes and not to worry about it. I ended up with a $600 dollar bill for a simple cleaning, and the same thing happened for my wife. Since the moment they start working on you they try everything to upcharge you and sell their dental products because “you really need these and you can’t find these anywhere else” even after telling them multiple times I’m not interested in their $50 toothpaste they still proceeded to push things on me. I will absolutely be fighting this bill and spreading awareness of this office ripping people off without their knowledge

It is a very clean/ state of the art modern dental office. Their equipment and dental tools are high quality and high tech. I had my teeth cleaned by Dalma who was very kind and did an amazing job. I had 3 cavities filled by Dr. Greco who is kind, and did an excellent job!

Having moved from New York to Connecticut six years ago, I have struggled to find a dentist that will take my husband’s local New York Engineering insurance, as a result, my family and I would take the trip to New York to have our dental needs taken care of. When my crown fell out, I had to find a local dentist; it took me days because the dentist near me either stopped taking my husband‘s insurance or the reviews were horrible. After calling about 20 places, the last option in Connecticut was Harbor-point. Not only did they take my husband’s insurance, they saw me the same day! The front desk staff, big shout out to Carmen, were so nice and so friendly. The female doctor who saw me, I do not remember her name, she was so nice and friendly; had a needle didn’t even feel the pain! It is state of the art waiting area, high-tech equipment, multitude of parking; where has this place been on my life! My husband, my daughter and I have found a new dentist. It is so worth the trip on 95.!

I had a cleaning with Angela, the hygienist, and she was absolutely incredible - I've never felt more interested and engaged by what is going on with my teeth!! On top of that, her and the whole staff, were so informative and helpful when it came to what my insurance would cover and how I could keep costs down for anything that wasn't covered. Dr. Cimato and his team was nice enough to redo it for free because we didnt have insurance anymore . He always advocate for his patients.

The front office staff are pleasant and always calls to squeeze you in if there are cancellations. One day I showed up with no appointment because my tooth was hurting. Dr. Cimato squeezed me in and did a root canal so I would not stay in pain. He is the only dentist that I met that walks every patient out. He literally walks you to the front door! Experiencia negativa: This place is more interested in extracting money out of my pockets. Didn't feel that they really cared and are being genuine. Horrible treatment. I was asked to pay right in the middle of a cleaning session. They didn't tell me before starting the job! Despite of going with a comprehensive dental insurance, they find ways to make you pay by offering things that aren't covered! Like some exclusive xrays, extra deep cleaning, etc. All this on my well maintained tooth that really had no issues but was there to get my annual cleanup. I can only imagine how much they would charge to those who are in real need. Find an other place who is genuine and not act just like a commercial business.
