You’ll notice the nice atmosphere when you walk in to a very friendly welcome from the receptionist. Today was my third visit there and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Dr. Pless has a great team to take care of all your dental needs, especially Denise, my hygienists. Oh, it’s especially nice to have the massaging chair and to watch Netflix while being taken care of.

Dr. Pless and her team evaluated our baby and offered the release procedures-but did not pressure us to get them at all. She was so thorough and compassionate every step of the way. When we came back for our last follow up, she could tell it had been a morning and a long drive to get there...she went above and beyond to answer all of my closing questions and she was so sweet and bought me a cup of coffee for my drive home! Procedure and post procedure went smoothly! Staff is wonderful and Dr. Pless is AMAZING!

Experiencia fantástica: I am so thankful for Dr. Pless and her team (Jackie and Summerlin.) I have a good dentist but he can be difficult to schedule with-good for him not so good for me. I was worrying about how to organize a plan of care that included teeth being pulled, a potential bridge or implant and on top of that my jaw was hurting again. I decided to call Dr. Pless after reading about her practice online and seeing all the good reviews. She was able to see me that afternoon!. She is calm, kind and thoughtful. She helped sort out a treatment plan, gave me new options to consider and then referred me on for another root canal evaluation. She and her team worked on their day off to set up the appointment and follow up with me to be sure I didn't need an antibiotic or pain meds. I am looking forward to continuing to work with Dr. Pless and her team. Update April 2025 It's been 5 years and I'm just as happy with Dr. Please today as I was when I first saw her. She and her team are professional, caring and skilled. I've referred several people to her practice and they are also pleased with the care they've received. I feel fortunate to be a patient with this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: In my experience, Renaissance Dental is light years ahead of other offices. They are able to use digital scans of your teeth to make sure your cap fits well. Dr. Pless carefully, and without any pain or discomfort, removed my old crown and Dr Cook made sure my new crown fit and was the correct color. They, as well as their very professional dental assistant and office staff, make a great team and I highly recommend them.

The office was immaculate while the staff was friendly and professional. I have several issues to take care of and the Dr came up with a great treatment plan. They are so personable and were always attentive to my comfort. Seriously, you’ll instantly feel like they’re good friends!

Experiencia negativa: Summary: NOT PRESENT or UP TO STANDARD… Why: Plessey and her dentists Missed 3 Very infected teeth, (2 failed root canals in each of my 3rd molars and an impacted wisdom tooth)… in addition to a 4th big problem. One root canal was so badly broken, my new dentist had to extract multiple pieces from the gum to remove all the infection and frayed pieces. It was very close to my sinus cavities and was incredibly intensive. Related or not, I was sick with sinus issues for about 3 weeks afterwards. Needed steroids and 2 rounds of antibiotics. Now, I had been to Dr. Plessey’s office 3 times over the course of a year and a half. My previous local dentist sent them all my records with their information. Each visit I paid around $200 for a cleaning and an exam. Apparently, these 3 infected teeth were “under watch” from my first visit in Sept. 2022 here. This was LITERALLY all they could tell me after another dentist in Wilmington checked me and found critical dental problems. I was told everything was good and checked out after my visits at Renaissance. They are well aware of this, but don’t claim any responsibility. This is an incredible oversight. Not only were there 3 teeth that needed extracted immediately as they were in an emergency state, there was a 4th tooth with a big issue that ALSO wasn’t addressed. This tooth on my bottom row has a crown that doesn’t go all the way to the root. I had this crown replaced about 5 years ago. And go to the dentist every 4/6 months minimum. Anyways, during a recent visit with Pless to follow up on the information I received from City Dental, which she quickly confirmed was correct, proceeded to pat my shoulder, and tell me that those 3 teeth did need to go, and this 4th tooth (which City Dental brought to my attention by the way) was also bad. That’s 4 teeth now that were missed!! *The kicker, Pless says this 4th tooth could be saved and a simple fix. The crown doesn’t go all the way to the root. She said the crown could be extended and the gap filled. Oh wait, since that didn’t get caught, and or brought up to me that this MIGHT become a problem, it’s not an easy fix. *She tells me we need to replace the entire crown. Wait she says, there’s actually bacteria got under it because of the placement (the crown not covering entire tooth) and now this tooth needs to go. And I will need an implant. And the new crown. Unbelievable. I was told they hope I feel better. Thanks, I appreciate that genuine concern.

Experiencia fantástica: I just moved to town and was referred here by my real estate agent who grew up in town and OMG let me tell you I am so happy. I have had a phenomenal experience from scheduling my appointment until I left the office. When you walk in the office is absolutely stunning super clean very comfortable. They even have a special waiting room area for children. I was asked by three different people if I wanted a drink of water or anything while I was waiting to be seen and honestly, I waited maybe 10 minutes, I was greeted with unbelievable friendliness by every single person in that office. The facility is fully modernized with updated technical equipment beyond my expectations. They took x-rays and pictures of my teeth gave me a cleaning that was so relaxing, and then I had a very amazing exam and conversation with the dr about my teeth and any work that needs to be done, ( I came in with a cracked tooth I knew I would need something ) I opted to get my teeth whitened ( it was something I knew I wanted to do before I went in) And they came out beautiful. I forgot to mention dental the chair vibrates like a massaging chair also has heat and they gave me headphones and they had a TV screen that I could watch Netflix. They treated me like I’ve been a patient there for 20 years. I felt so welcome and so comfortable. It is a must go to very professional dental facility. I am definitely going to be a regular patient there … they also offer an in house dental plan for those that do not have dental insurance that includes two cleanings a year X-rays and fluoride and a discount on any other treatment I may need including Invisalign ( which is cosmetic ) but they still offer a discount

Also best experience bc I had due to laser and due to anxiety I had laughing gas which helped my nerves. My old crown broke (they didn't place it) recently and it's been fun mess with another practice messing it up and aggravating my TMJ issues. The staff and doctors here have been able to assist me and gave their feedback if they could help or not. I'm grateful and that speaks to their integrity so I can have a more comfortable fit. I have a prosodentist who is now able to assist me and this staff and doctors has been nothing but helpful assisting me in getting the right care. I wish I could have reatined them as my primary dentists but I have since moved. They are probably the best dentists due to their tech and their quality of care for their patients even if I wasn't there long and I'm grateful for the scans they did bc now it gives the specialist something to go on. Thank you all so much!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a patient at Renaissance Dental for a couple of years. Routine cleanings have been done and everything has been top notch. I’ve had a tooth that was recommended to be crowned and I kept putting it off. Finally a piece of that tooth broke off. I called to make an appt., not as an emergency since I had no pain or sensitivity, they got me in that same week. The crown was done in the same day, from start to finish. The first hour was numbing, taking a scan of my teeth and grinding down the tooth. I took a break for an hour while they milled the tooth in office. The second hour in the chair was fitting and placing the tooth. I couldn’t ask for a better experience or outcome of this crown. I am beyond pleased. My bite is perfect, the fit is perfect so it’s not a food trap and it looks great. Little sensitive to heat and cold right now but that’s to be expected, should subside in a week or so. Dr. Pless and the staff, Brenda, Cheyenne, Denise to name a few are always so pleasant and professional. Thanks Dr. Pless and Team!! See ya next month for my cleaning.

Experiencia fantástica: Renaissance dental is the second dental experience I’ve had since moving back home to Wilmington, NC. I’ve missed a ton of years while in college in the triangle and when I got back here post covid I realized it was time to get back on track. The first was okay, but once I went to Renaissance i was blown away. The staff is great The experience with tv’s is great. They’ve got me all set up for future cleanings and within 6 months I have come a LONG way. Trust me! Highly recommended whether in or out of network with you, they work with you & are the best. Not to mention the amazing location, so go to the beach before or after your visit. Thanks Renaissance and team & if anyone sees this and has questions I’m an open book :)

Experiencia fantástica: This morning I went in for my routine Invisalign check up since I am on my last aligners. Hannah was very friendly as always and caught me up to speed on the process going forward after finishing my aligners. Furthermore, Dr. Pless took a look at my progression with my teeth which she was very happy with the results! She did what she had to do for the appointment so that I can be ready for my final aligner for the future. Overall, a phenomenal experience as always I am very happy with the experience I receive as soon as I want in the front door. Thank you to all of the staff there at Renaissance Dental Studio! I recommend Invisalign to anyone along with Dr. Pless & Renaissance Dental Studio.

I think they are both are professional, very skilled, give great care and take the time to explain any issues with my teeth. The Hygenist Denise was very receptive to my needs & to keep me comfortable during my cleaning, she did a fabulous job. Experiencia fantástica: I brought my 3 week old here to have her tongue and lip tie looked at and loved working with Dr. Sarah, Jennifer and Jess! They were so caring and thorough while assessing my daughter and explaining to me what the were doing and looking for. I ending up getting her ties released and I felt like the care team did not rush me through but spent time with me answering all my questions and making sure I was comfortable making the right decision and also with after care after the procedure. I highly recommend and would not think to go anywhere else!

Both Dentists Dr Pless and Dr Cook explained every step of what they were doing and what they saw. They gave me options and told me what to expect. My opinion mattered to them. They offered so many new and better ways to do things that were done differently in my past and much easier and less invasive. Their service and attention was stellar and informative. I was told to try Renaissance dental. right from the start i was impressed. Got a call to verify my appt, The woman on the phone was awesome. Very polite and gave me step by step directions to the facility. Once I arrived my wait time to be seen was under 5 minutes. The assistants and Dr Pless are super friendly they went over all my options. Including a payment plan. Highly recommend them for all dental needs Thanks Renaissance dental!!

Experiencia fantástica: First off, walking into this dentist office is like a dream! Decorations for Halloween, a toddler area for kids to play and the best music playlist playing for a calming atmosphere. Everyone at the front desk was so polite at the door, offering water or coffee or to help me with my infant if I needed to use the restroom. The bathroom in there was amazing and the baby changing station was nice and look really high end and safe. Dr Pless answered all my questions and really took a lot of time to talk to me in preparation for my infant’s tongue tie appointment and I want to stress that I wasnt rushed at all which is such a good feeling when you have a procedure for a little one. They sent me home with videos and even offered that I can text them with questions on how to care for my infants follow up healing. The room for the evaluation of my infants tongue tie was private and comfortable for me and my infant. The procedure itself took minutes and it was great because my infant didn’t need anesthesia since it was a quick laser treatment. They were very invested in my infant and me as a mom and I felt like they genuinely cared about my child. I HIGHLY recommend this place. My insurance was out of network with them but because they use a laser on infant instead of anesthesia I’d rather pay for the safety of my infant. If I didn’t already have a dentist I’ve been seeing since I was a kid myself I’d go here for my own teeth. They even gave my infant a onesie with their name on it. 10/10 recommend this place

My son had a tongue and lip tie release by Dr. Pless as an infant. She was so patient, kind, and loving throughout the whole thing! He is now 3 years old and LOVES going to the dentist to see Dr. Pless! My 1 year old also had her first appointment today and it was just wonderful! I am always very nervous going to the dentist and don’t trust just anyone with my teeth but they walk me through ever step to make sure I felt comfortable. The environment itself is so peaceful and clean. So glad I was able to find this studio in Wilmington. It’s so hard to find a good practice that genuinely cares about what is best for you and your smile. I can not rave enough!!

The transparency is such a huge relief and I feel confident that I’m going to be well taken care of from here on out. They even had a toothbrush I could use before my cleaning cause I was self conscious—like what?!? They clearly strive to think of every little thing to make you feel welcomed and very comfortable from start to finish! I’ll never go to another dental office again if I can help it!
