Experiencia fantástica: We've been coming here since 2018 and we absolutely love them. The front ladies are always very nice and attentive and the doctors and assistants are always very thorough and professional. We have since moved out of Tacoma and still drive down from North Seattle (45mins) just to keep this as our primary children's dentistry. The only change i wished to see was that they have bigger exam chairs because my child is very tall (6'2) for 13 but thats an us issue and not the businesses fault LOL. Highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Almost all of my kids ages 6-14 have dentist anxiety. My 14 y/o needed to have some crowns taken out and was put on nitrous oxide at first he was scared but his dentist eased his worries and was joking with him the whole time. I highly recommend them I won't take my kids any where else. We drive from federal way. Update: My kids have gone to this dentist office since 2016 & all but one out grew them. My youngest still comes here & we still love this place. I highly recommend them especially if you maybe have kiddos that are a little anxious about seeing the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been taking my child here for the past 9 years and we loved our dentist! He always took the time to explain things and make the checkup educational and kid friendly. This past visit was horrible by comparison and I have concerns with the quality of care now being administered. I’m not sure if this location has been taken over by new management, or if something else is going on, but our most recent visit there was a totally new dentist, the hygienist told us was from a temp company, and they spent all of 2 minutes doing the cleaning, checkup, and education. I brought up a previous challenge that we’d had with a cavity not getting filled because of an issue with the sedation not working plus my child’s sensory issues, and the dentist said there was nothing they could do, other than “brush better” to deal with the existing cavity. Then she demonstrated “how to brush teeth” by aggressively scrubbing side to side with the toothbrush, which made my daughter cry and fuss (especially because of her sensory struggles, which is in her file). The dentist said the solution is to just make my child lie down and brush her teeth for her, even if she cries. Then the dentist rushed out to the next patient, the temp hygienist apologized and said she was going to go ask about how the cavity is going to get addressed, and chased after the dentist. Neither of them followed up after that, and we were directed to the checkout counter. I’m really quite disappointed, and hopefully this was just a bad day or something like that, but ultimately her teeth barely even got cleaned, and the one concern I brought up was not addressed at all. I didn’t even see the X-rays that were taken, and the dentist never reviewed them (that I saw). I was hoping to find out if the cavity had gotten any worse since the last visit, as that was my main concern. Unfortunately I’ll have to look for a new dentist so we can learn that information, and get the cavity filled, as it seems that’s not a feasible level of care with this new setup.

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was my daughter’s first time ever at a dentist and everyone here was so nice and friendly. They were great with my daughter and didn’t “force” her to open her mouth for them when she wasn’t feeling it. They let her do what she was doing and play with a toy and had a movie on the ceiling for her to try to help her relax while they checked her teeth.

Experiencia negativa: My children has been coming to this dental clinic for the last 3 years. The dental assistant and dentist were very friendly at the beginning; however, the past 2 appointments that we’ve attended- there is a dental assistant who seemed to be annoyed and irritated at my kids. She did not speak in a kind tone and seemed like she wasn’t very happy with her job. She was telling my daughter that she needed to take care of her teeth and brush properly (mind you, my daughter had an accident and fell on the playground when she was little and it injured her front tooth)- this dental assistant girl was so rude and assumed that it was her oral hygiene. And the second appointment, she was flossing my other daughter’s teeth for cleaning and she wa doing it so roughly. My daughters gum started to bleed and she even said, “ow,” but this stupid dental assistant girl acted like she wasn’t doing it rough and said, “that’s why it hurts and it’s bleeding cause you don’t floss your teeth and take care of it.” Her tone was unreasonable and she was very rude. I understand that yes, maybe my kids need to learn better oral hygiene techniques but it doesn’t give you the right to talk to them like that. It was unkind and unnecessary. The only reason why you have a job is because of your patients. Get off your high horse or quit your job and find something else that you can do that won’t piss you off! If my husband was there, you wouldn’t be talking to my kids the way you did.

Experiencia positiva: Front desk, to check in my Kids I give her a 10* Rating!! With the Professionalism that the Nurses or Medical assistance were suppose to have was great at First but as soon as my youngest went to the back for his Xray this medical assistant that was doing my Kids cleaning was either tired or something because her and the other medical assistant decided to be RUDE while I sit and I wait there for all three of my kids to be done with the Doctor and His Exams . I give the Doctor 10* for because he heard what I had to say about his workers and told me to get them !! Being Professional is a Key going ladies so next time you shouldn't say too much if the Mother speaks full English!! Not a perfect timing for you and your coworker to talk about my Kids time slots!! Experiencia negativa: The whole reason I stayed at this clinic for so long was Dr Mike and Stephanie the receptionist. Stephanie is extremely professional, kind, and easy to talk too. Easily 5 stars! But once Dr Mike left we should of left too. He really made the clinic enjoyable for patients and staff. There's no smiles for kids anymore. When the dentists in clinic don't agree on care plan, that dosent give you a right to yell at a parent for doing what was told of me by another dentist in the same clinic.

I was very surprised at how bad since last visit it had gotten… felt very ‘Tacoma’ and as much as my daughter likes going there versus last place .. I am concerned and might look for something else .. the doctors are never the same! And hard to grow a relationship w pediatric dentist when it’s a diff person each time … wasn’t very happy I could barely understand what they were asking Masked and quiet talking and would not have agreed to flourish had I know that’s what she had said !!

Experiencia negativa: This establishment has gone downhill in the last 7 years. Every time I go in, its uncomfortable. The front staff and the dental assistants are awkward and have no personality and shouldn't be around children. Our last visit, the dental assistant put gloves on, then buttoned her scrub, before moving the light around and putting her hands in/near my sons mouth for his flossing and cleaning. I understand it's probably where they learn how to do their job, but they shouldn't be left alone with patients until they have been observed for awhile.

Experiencia fantástica: Originally found this place because my daughter was having a dental emergency and they were the only ones with an opening at the time. Wasn't my first choice by any means and I was oh so wrong. Everyone here from the dentist to the assistants and front desk staff is wonderful. They are just on it and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Always professional, kind, efficient, and so fantastic with my daughter. If they saw adults I would go here! We have stayed loyal to this hidden gem of a dental office ever since. Highly recommend and appreciate them.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible experience. The administrative staff at this location clearly have no idea what they’re doing. Communication was a mess from the start, and they completely failed to coordinate with our previous dentist or handle the insurance properly. After jumping through all their hoops just to get our daughter approved for anesthesia, they canceled the appointment while we were literally on our way there. This made no sense—we already had the pediatric referral for the initial visit, and suddenly there were “issues” when it came time to actually treat the cavity. Completely unacceptable. We’re now looking for a new pediatric dentist and will never return to this office.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve been bringing my kids here for years. There’s some perks and there are some things that we would change. The kids like that They get stickers and prizes when they’re done, but after getting two cavities filled yesterday, my daughter suggested that they come up with a healthier frozen snack Rather than the popsicles that has a bunch of sugar in it. She also felt like the dentist didn’t talk to her enough and tell her what to do when it came to the laughing gas. She also doesn’t like that a parent isn’t allowed to come back and sit with them while they’re doing the procedure however, I don’t know if if there’s any way to get around that

Experiencia negativa: HEARTBROKEN AFTER MY EXPERIENCE My 10 year old daughter has been going here for years, and up until now we’ve always had good experiences. My child is severely afraid of dental work and we’ve used sedation for dental work in the past. Yesterday we came in for two baby teeth extractions and a filling. She was scared and crying and it took me awhile to get her in the chair. The dentist started putting numbing gel on her teeth for extraction but almost immediately decided that she wasn’t going to be able to handle the filling. Without waiting for the numbing agent to kick in, he just pulled the two baby teeth out. Neither of them were very loose, and one was stuck tight and she was screaming in pain. I didn’t know how to react. I have never experienced anything like that at a dentist. Dr. Mike was great back in the day, but I will not be bringing my child back to this place again.

So good even my 2 yr old surprisingly did very well. I would definitely recommend Smiles 4 Kids too all parents!

Experiencia fantástica: It's always a kind of scary experience to have your child go under anesthesia for the first time. The doctor obviously knew her job well. She came and explain everything to us before. My son had some complications with the anesthesia and we could not be more happy with how the doctor handled it and her caring nature towards our son. Not only that most of the staff is so nice. I would recommend this children's dentist to anyone I know.

Experiencia negativa: My kids have been going there for years now and we have have seen people come and go from dentists to dental assistant's. Usually a decent experience for them. I wish the same Asian gentleman dentist was there from about four years ago. He was the best with children, very personable. I did run into some issues through the years. From some blood on a chair, this being years ago, i was called immediately and aplogized to tremendouly. To yesterday the younger black woman taking xrays of my oldest child's teeth was aggressive and just down right rude to the point of me confronting her infront of the dentist to have witnesses of her behavior in hopes of something being done about her behavior. I wish they would find great staff that would stay. Onto the positive my daughters dental assistant was a older woman that was sweet and was great at her job. My review is in-between it's not great and not horrible when the right staff is present.

Experiencia fantástica: Smiles 4 kids has been nothing but amazing! I originally was taking my son to just for kids dentistry for the past 3 years but I called them to get in for my son’s tooth pain and they wouldn’t see him for almost a month. I did some searching and found smiles 4 kids on a Saturday and was able to get him seen that Monday they addressed all concerns that day and were super nice to my son and I (didn’t feel any judgement at all) we scheduled for his procedure since he is a toddler, pain got worse for him about 3 days later to where he couldn’t sleep or eat without crying and I called they fit me in first thing the next morning and performed the procedure! I cannot be more thankful to the wonderful doctors and assistants! needless to say this will be our new permanent dentistry.

Experiencia negativa: Took my daughter here as an emergency due to pain from a cavity. The dentist didn’t say hello to me at all and did not introduce himself to my daughter (6). He then proceeded to pull up the X-rays take a couple second look and tell me she had a cavity in every tooth then glared at me like I was a horrible mother. Then he proceeded to tell me they’d be capping 6 teeth and doing baby root canals. Then told me she has no adult teeth above her canines but those would need to be pulled. They then rushed us out and didn’t offer any antibiotics and medication for the pain she’s experiencing that causing her to not eat. As we went to check out I felt very rushed and forced into agreeing to the surgery date to basically ruin my daughter’s mouth. I would not recommend this place to anyone for the well being of your children. My daughter got in the car crying begging me to not let them pull all of her teeth out and is now scared of the dentist where as before she had no problem going. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. We have since found a different dentist and have an upcoming appointment. When I told them what happened they were absolutely appalled.

Experiencia fantástica: This was our third time going there. My granddaughter is almost 3 she was complaining because her bottom front tooth hurt. So I called they got me in same day for an emergency appointment. And it wasn’t her tooth at all. She had a canker sore underneath her front tooth on her gum line. I was extremely impressed that they got me in same day. And they found the problem immediately I like how they have TVs above the chairs so the kids could watch cartoons and keep them occupied while they’re getting their teeth looked at. Everybody there is extremely friendly. We only had to sit in the waiting room literally five minutes before we were seen.

Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE CARE, POOR COMMUNICATION YOU ARE NOT THE BEST AND THE ONLY ONE These staffs are rude and lying to their clients. Checked in before my child's appointment time. They let us waited 40" and took others clients (who had the same time appointment as us and even came to check in after us) without notices. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

They even had a drawing for the kids with no cavities and my kiddo won!!!! She was extremely excited about that. They make it and enjoyable experience and for that I'm grateful ❤️

This last visit she had X-rays along with a cleaning & my 3 year old did great and was so happy with the service she even wanted to go back again she can’t wait for her next visit. Experiencia negativa: My 11 year old daughter had an appointment to get some work done on her teeth. After we arrived and got her prepared for the appointment, the dentist asked her if she wanted to proceed with the appointment. She hates going to the dentist, so she said "no". I was then asked to reschedule the appointment because they weren't going to work on her teeth if she didn't want them to. I also recently learned that they lost my children's files or something. I take my children to the dentist every 6 months (except we missed one appointment but rescheduled immediately). During one of our last visits, the dentist tried to tell me that my children haven't been seen by a dentist in over 3 years!! My oldest daughter even tried telling them that wasn't true as she remembers getting X-rays done during her last visit recently (which was 6 months earlier). They didn't have those X-rays on file. I used to enjoy taking my children to Smiles 4 Kids on 72nd street. Since they have made some staffing changes, I hate going there now. Once my daughter gets the work done that she needs, we will be going somewhere else. The staff isn't very friendly either. We had a much better experience before the new staff came in. We have also had scheduling issues (they gave our appointment to someone else). I've had to give them my updated phone number 4 times and they still call the wrong number to confirm appointments (that's why our appointment was given to another patient). It's been a headache dealing with this place. I would recommend going anywhere but here.

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend this office. During treatment the dentist grabbed my son's head and pushed it instead of simply asking him to turn his head. During the next appointment another dentist ignored my son raising his hand three times to indicate he was in pain. Neither dentist asked him how he was doing during treatment nor gave him any indication of progress, warnings they were going to drill, or asked him about his comfort level. Neither dentist even greeted him or said his name. One of the two didn't even say hello to me.

Experiencia negativa: Previously reviewed at 5 stars but am amending. Been coming here since my sons first visit when he was 6 months old. He’s now 5 years old and it’s time to schedule my 1 year old and we are looking for a new dentist. It’s been filthy the last two times. Even trash on the floor in the back. Also they were so brief the last visit. Whole exam took like 7 minutes at most. X ray machine broken. Gave them a second shot since the first time could have been a fluke and it was always awesome in the past but two visits 6 months apart was enough for me to know that ever since Dr. Mike left, things have taken a turn.

Experiencia fantástica: We have always had such good service at Smiles for Kids. My girls were so afraid of the dentist when we started going there 10 years ago, they made all of us feel comfortable and girls were no longer scared. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Super bad experience. Either the office staff needs more help , or to just practice more thoroughness. Or they need a dentist who don’t quit the day of right before an appointment and not tell anyone until minutes before the procedure when we were in the waiting room. If the dentist had an emergency and did have to leave at that minute the office staff should have said something, to that effect. And if they knew prior that the dentist wouldn’t be there , they should have called before we were in the waiting room. Don’t know if it’s office being understaffed, or having a reliable dentist , or some other reason I would understand if there was an emergency, or understaffed like everywhere else. but other than that , this was completely unacceptable . Ok , rant over. Just really disappointed in the service from here.

Experiencia positiva: Although the dentists are great the front office staff could do better. Today I had an appointment for my grandaught and they said I did not have an appointment? They saw her brefiely but did not do the cleaning and then she wasn't due tell April. We had been there about 3 weeks ago to finish up her treatment and they said she was due for a cleaning so we made the appointment for today but today I was told she wasn't due tell April? I've sat in the waiting room before and the same thing happened to another woman and she said it's happened twice now and she insisted on them seeing her daughter anyway. The person scheduling should be retrained or let go

Experiencia negativa: Normally this office is outstanding. Today on the other hand not so much...Some of the Worst patient care we've ever had there. Not as friendly as normal, the dental assistant wasn't very sanitary about how she did things, opened sterilized tools with no gloves on, no hand hygiene..... Just was an overall bad experience today, not sure if they were all having bad days or what .... Hopefully next visit will be different.....

Experiencia fantástica: The #1 dentist I've ever been to for my kids. Took my daughter in to remove 6 of her teeth because they were hurting and they made my daughter not so scared in the dentist office anymore. My daughter usually screams her head off when she goes in to any dentist but this one made her feel like she's family. I'm so happy I found a great dental office for my kids. Thankful for the operation going well for my daughter. I was so scared for her but she was a champ after. Thank you dentist. ❤☺

Experiencia negativa: We’ve been here for a while it was amazing place when dr Mike was there! It’s gone down hill ever since! Horrible customer service the dentist is new every time we go! Won’t let parents in the room during procedures dentist said because parents make it worse. I will not be leaving my baby alone sedated sorry not sorry! Worst place ever pick somewhere different for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love this dental office, they are so sweet and always so caring for my children. The last place we had gone they made my daughter cry and then claimed she was faking it (Lindquist Dental). She was not as she has a very small mouth compared to other children. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone for their kiddos. :)

Experiencia negativa: Response to owner: would love to but no one picks up with that number. Update:got home and my daughters still have plaque on their teeth after their "cleaning". I am done with this place. My daughters have been going here since they first got teeth, but this past year has been a real pain. First, they do not answer their phones. I had tried rescheduling and finally canceling through a message on their machine. Then tried to reschedule again. All of this over the course of 4 months. I finally dialed the wrong location and the one on union picked up on the first ring. Then I was informed this was not the one on 72nd. I asked what the phone number was and double checked it against the one I had been dialing. I then asked if they could schedule me since no one from their 72nd location picks up or answers voice-mails. They could not but told me I could schedule online. I ended up doing that with a half hour between each girl since it would be just me taking them in. I put a note to call me so I could speak with someone, no calls. Appointment time comes around, replied confirm to auto texts (still no calls) and showed up on time for the first daughter. I was informed that my very young under 7 daughters would need to be placed in different rooms for their cleanings. I said this cannot be right, one does not have an appointment for a half half an hour.i was informed they had to go to different hygienists because I did not specify the same one and they had patients scheduled after . I was confused because I made different time slots so I should be that one later. After back and forth and saying I would not leave my young minor daughter by herself and both being scared wanting to hold my hand I almost walked.they then came back and said next time make it with the same hygienists. Hard to Do when no one answers and all of them are on social media while working. The dentist who we loved for is gone and the the staff plus new dentist rushed the appointments.thank you for making me fee like you did us a favor, now we will do you one and leave.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently took our daughter in to have some cavities capped and sealant applied on her teeth. She was very nervous and so were we because she had never had anesthesia before. The staff and especially Dan, the anesthesiologist, was incredible. He helped so much with putting us at ease and making us feel comfortable. After meeting him and just the way he explained everything and his humor helped our daughter and us so much. We are so grateful for his efforts and kind and caring personality. Thank you so much!

Experiencia negativa: The office staff are absolutely horrible at scheduling - they schedule an appointment for my child, give me a card, and then days before let me know that my child has no appointment scheduled...and they cancel appointments all the time due to "emergencies"...I'm a working parent and have to take time off to get my child to her appointments. My time is not respected and doesn't matter to Smiles 4 Kids - they're not professional and don't seem to know what they're doing. This has happened too many times to count...I'm switching dentists.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give Dr. Mike more stars I would, he is absolutely the best! My kids were terrified of the dentist before seeing him. He is very good with the kids, he makes them feel safe, also jokes around to make it fun. Beside that he preforms exceptional dental work. We recently moved to Seattle and I was thinking about switching providers, my daughter insisted we stay at smiles for kids! We will make the commute for our dental needs. Thanks Dr. Mike for all you and your staff do! :) After Dr.Mike left and opened his new practice, there is no point in returning. Front office staff are not personable and very rude. I would rather follow Dr. Mike for the best care. He is over at floss is boss in University place off of Mildred.

Experiencia negativa: Front office staff is not friendly or understanding to the needs of the current and are not cooperative with parents. Refuses to let parents come back with their children. Dentist himself is nice and does good work but his staff is terrible. My kids will not be going back there due to the front and back staff actions and attitudes. Unfortunately because the dentist is a nice person and does great work. But the staff won't even give him a message to call me when he is done with his patients for the day. That's not the kind of office I want my small kids seen in. Wouldn't recommend this office at all until there was a whole new support staff to the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter is autistic, and Dr. Mike and his wonderful staff are so patient with her and very caring. Both my children love going to the dentist, and that is a great thing. They are the best dentist office we have been to. Thank you! We appreciate you and your staff. This is not the same office as it used to be. Always a new hygienist and dentist. Not as courteous as they used to be. Doesn't have the same vibe as it used to, don't understand autistic patients anymore.

Experiencia positiva: I would recommend smile for kids they are kind and so caring that was makes them different and unique they treat your kids friendly and try their best so your kids aren’t scared or afraid which is very nice to have paciente dentists. The only thing I dislike is that they make check you check in 15 minutes early and they aren’t on time. For example if your appointment is at 12.00pm they make you check in at 11:45am and most of the time they aren’t ready till 12:15pm sometimes longer and if your 10mins late they cancel you and reschedule weeks later.

Experiencia negativa: The miscommunication in this place is terrible. Somehow the dentist verbally telling me my child would get 1 crown for a bad cavity and fillings for small ones turned into "a couple crowns" when I was signing my child's General Anesthesia paperwork. I get him home and there are EIGHT crowns in his mouth. The response was "They're baby teeth" and "Well the treatment plan paperwork says". How the treatment plan paperwork changed without my knowledge eludes me. While I was in the office another client was suppose to have General Anesthesia for their child due to Disability and they only gave him Oral Sedation which was already in progress when she'd brought up that in their chart it states General Anesthesia! What a joke. We won't be back, thank god they're JuST Baby TeEtH.

I brought my daughter in for sealants and she was scared and the dental assistant said I have 4 year olds come in here and act better then your acting right now and the boss never did anything about it we will not be back. Experiencia positiva: I absolutely love the doctor here, my kiddos have been coming here for over 7 years, my youngest started at 6 months. However, the receptionist needs to learn how to speak to people, watch what she says around children and not change things without consent. I had an appointment that I had to book 6 months out, showed up for the appointment and my time was changed without my knowledge or approval. When I showed up for my regular time with email and texts confirming my date and time, I was turned away and forced to make another appointment even further out. The receptionist was extremely rude and didn't care at all that she made a mistake that impacted my 6 year old. Not once said sorry. Another lady helped set up the new appointment because I could not tolerate the disrespect from the other lady - thank you for the lady who stepped in. Today my children are here for regular cleaning and I'm not happy with the same disrespectful receptionists. Talking about car accidents and laughing about someone almost dying, using inappropriate language when there is literally a waiting room full of children that don't need to hear all that nonsense. I give the place, doctors and assistants, 5 starts hands down. This one receptionist is hurting the place.

Experiencia negativa: I do not suggest Smiles for kids on 72nd street. My 4yo daughter has an abscess tooth and because she has a cough they can't have her come in to look at it. Which that I can understand, but they won't even allow us to send a picture of the abscess and get antibiotics sent to a pharmacy. This is an emergency situation, and they could care less. If it was their child, they wouldn't wait. This could be life or death. This isn't the first situation we have had with them. But it's definitely the worst. I don't care that's its been just over 12 months since she has been seen there. You can't even come outside and look at her. You all are heartless and don't care about children. Your response shows just how unprofessional you all are. You violated hippa by putting information on here that I did not give you permission to share.

I called to reschedule my kids appointments this morning, and Dulce answered the phone. I asked her to please change my child's name to their preferred name and she made it clear she is transphobic. She said she can't do that but can list it as "his" nickname. She consistently kept dead naming my child, misgendering her, and lacked empathy at all. Having worked in medical, I know how insurance works, which was her excuse. There is no reason you have to call someone by their birth name for "insurance purposes", that is purely on paper. Extremely disappointed in such disgusting disregard for someone who is different.

First off back when we had the snow storm my appointment was Saturday. Drove in the snow just for them to be closed no call or anything ahead of time. Then a month ago they cancel while I’m LITERALLY SITTING in the office waiting to be called back because they decide they won’t have time . Now 2 days ago I came 10 min late (my fault which is fine) but you claim to have a 10 min policy I was exactly 10 min late so they refused My child and reschedule for tomorrow 9/3/21 . Now they call TODAY saying they can’t see my child tomorrow because they are leaving early ! And want to book me 2 months out. It’s ridiculous . STOP OVER BOOKING . Money hungry people it’s frustrating wasting my time and gas , calling out of work to take my child just for them to CONTINUOUSLY CANCEL. I’m going to make sure I let everyone know NOT TO GO HERE . And as soon as I find a new dentist I’m out of there too . It sucks because the dentists are amazing but the way they run is HORRIBLE .

Experiencia negativa: Usually this place is great which is the only reason they're getting two stars today (I've given them five stars on past reviews) but today, here's my experience- a while back they changed their confirmation policy to you have to confirm via text plus confirm verbally which is totally understandable because I'm sure no shows cost them money. But now their new policy is you have to verbally confirm via text plus 2 verbal confirmations. I didn't know the new policy until today after I took a day off of work, drove all the way to my child's orthodontist office to have her wires removed only to drive to the dentist office for them to tell me oh sorry you didn't confirm a third time because now you have to verbally confirm twice in addition to the text confirmation and so even though we talked to you 3 days ago and you confirmed, you didn't answer your phone yesterday when we called and so we canceled your appointment. They don't have another appointment until January unless I wanted to take an appointment tomorrow but I had to take off work today so I can't take off work again so soon. This new policy is stupid, I don't see how the new policy prevents no shows since you confirm the first time a couple of days ahead of time, this Dentist serves a lot of low income people who cannot afford to waste their time driving around and taking time off of work, it's thoughtless and a ridiculous policy. One verbal confirmation a couple of days before the appointment should be enough!

Received voice mail last Monday (didn't listen to until Friday after the appointment) that the clinic would be closed on Friday. Received text on Tuesday confirming appointment. Went to clinic on Friday and told they are only doing sedation appointments today, our appointment was canceled!!! Clinic was open. Next available appointment about seven weeks out. Asked for supervisor. Supervisor set an appointment for the next day, Saturday. Saturday morning received phone call that appointment is canceled because clinic is closed. What a joke! Incredibly not professional, and incompetent staffing.

When I asked the front deskady she lied and said she didn't bump me. They need to retrain the customer service part of this clinic because you have great dentists but incompetent front desk people. I wanted both of my kids to go here but I don't want to bumped for a different patient.I am not sure if I will even go back because I felt not valued

Experiencia negativa: Apparently even if you have an appointment will allow people to cut in front and delay your own schedule because other people manage their own time. After the major delay that then caused an issue of picking up a kid from a summer camp. Then afterwards the front desk people could only come up with a time 5 months out for a tooth that was said needed to come out right away. Dentists are great, however with the bad handling of scheduled appointments and lack of availability to handle situations, it maybe time to look else where.

Experiencia fantástica: My kids all love going to the dentist, and that's all thanks to Dr. Mike. He's an absolutely amazing pediatric dentist; he jokes around and puts children at ease, but is also efficient and practical. I believe Dr. Mike cares about more than just the dental health of his patients; he always makes encouraging comments about the kids' interests, attitudes, and comportment. No matter if they have cavities or not, my kids leave feeling encouraged. Also, I (Mom) get a kick out of Dr. Mike commending me when the kids' teeth look great-- we both know that any good in that area is entirely thanks to me; left to their own devices, these kids would never touch a toothbrush

Experiencia negativa: Both the dentists that worked on my child were great. The front staff desperately needs customer service training. No one could explain to me what amount my insurance was paying vs my copay for the cavities being filled. I called again for the second procedure to see if they had figured it out yet and then reduced my co pay by almost $200 which makes me thing they were price gouging or they are very bad at being clear as to what the costs really are. The second visit I witnessed a front desk person speaking to a parent in spanish using the word "chillona" (crybaby) to describe an after anesthesia symptom. They definitely need more training in my opinion on how to and what language to use when speaking to patients and their parents.

The lady behind the wall said I canceled it they weren't in here. The receptionist reiterated this and then asked did I speak with someone? I said yes they went over covid questions and asked me to sit in the car until called. Theres only 3 girls in the office and NO ONE NOT ONE claimed to speak to me. No one took responsibility. There is only 3 of you. Own up to thr mistake. That is what made this worse not one would own up to it.

Experiencia negativa: Been told 4 times in a few months they will sent a referral to Seattle children's and everytime I call to check they haven't sent it. I'm so sick of having to beg them to send a referel for my sons needed dental work! Cried on the phone and explained that he needs this and the lady assured me she would sent it and call me back well guess what, she never did. I will never be taking any of my kids here again.

Experiencia fantástica: My son had an appointment for a check up for cavity Clarence the dentist was very thorough my son. my son has autism and I was not satisfied with the previous provider so I switched to Dr. Mike and I was very happy with today’s visit with leaving the office with a knowing my son has zero cavities, to have a clearance to be sent to ortho. Very pleased with the office very friendly dental assistant and very knowledgeable! Also Dr. Mike is a very friendly dentist and was very pleased to be sent to a orthodontist that he loves to work with !

Experiencia positiva: Today was my kids (6yrs & 3yrs) first dentist appointment. We did not wait long and they did a great job at making my kids comfortable and accommodated to their specific needs. The doctor explained everything that needed to be done and set up a plan to do so. Based on my first experience, I believe this is a great place to take your children.

We had an appointment scheduled for my autistic son which we made early but the receptionist said they “cancelled” our appointment because we were not there early enough. We were still well before our appointment time. Huge waste of my time AND it’s hard to change an autistic child’s schedule. We had this appointment scheduled for WEEKS and they cancelled it right before. I had no idea until I called to check in. The first time we had an appointment to put my son under anesthesia to examine his mouth. We showed up and they didn’t have our appointment. The staff scrambled around and tried to say I cancelled it which I did not. They screwed up my sons chart and another patients which resulted in the cancellation. He also wasn’t able to eat the night before that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for any family with individuals with special needs! I even canceled my youngest sons appointment. This company does NOT care about kids. So disappointed.

The staff is always so friendly and so wonderful with my daughter!! Also Dr. Mike is an awesome dentist, who is always smiling and takes the time out to answer any questions you have!! Mind you i called after their opening hours. I call in the afternoon, she’s already gone for the day. They tell me they can have her call me back the next day. A day passes no phone call. I call again, she’s at another office. Since the manager wouldn’t take my call. Your assistant reddish hair was rude and not patient with my kid. You front office staff was not welcoming. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible. We waited 3 months for an appointment and when we went, they had my old phone number (even though I updated it several times). So when we showed up they told us that they left me a message (on my old phone) that he would need a referral. I waited 4 months to get into the new dentist just to find out that Smiles 4 kids never sent the right referral info. Now I am sitting in the waiting room of the referral doctor who has no idea why we are there. This place needs to be shut down or they need to do some proper training of their staff.

Experiencia fantástica: They were very welcoming and nice. My son’s dentist dressed as a banana and it is nice to see it is a kid friendly environment that’s meant to take care of children. They were very patient with my son and actually cared and didn’t give attitude with my son’s vivid crying. That is why I continue to take my son there. It has been nothing but great experience for my family and I. Would highly recommend, nothing but nice people all around there.

She had to have two baby teeth pulled to make room for her adult teeth and she was so entertained she didn’t even know he had pulled them out until she saw a little blood on her tissue. (Funniest video ever). I truly love being able to take my daughter someplace to get her teeth cleaned that she loves to go to. I couldn’t recommend them more!!

I have had to reschedule appointments for my son 4 or 5 times all being months out in advance due to the lack of communication they have. The first appointment I made there no one stated that he needed to be there 15 mins early she said she left it on my voicemail and we showed her it was no where in the voicemail she left. When making the appointment she didn't conform time or date I had to ask her because she left the most importantdetail out. She didn't even want to hear the voicemail she left. We then spoke with someone else who helped us reschedule they tried to tell us that he wouldn't be able to be seen for 3 month out at that time my husband had to argue with them to magically have a sooner date. We scheduled his oral surgery appointment the big one and i confirmed via text and then she called back to say that they needed verbal confirmation i called 30 minutes later and she had already filled the spot and offered me an appointment 3 months later. They never explained to us at the time of making the appointment that we needed to confirm a certain way nor did they become apologetic at either mistake they made. They are very unclear with directions and what they expect from clients when confirming appointments or making appointments.

In the entire hour of my time waiting, not once was anything wiped down Nor was the counter or signature pen cleaned. The office was very busy and a lot of kids. I feel less concern going to store. I would hope, with the Covid running rampant again, they would have more concern for the patient.
