Experiencia negativa: On 1/5/2026, I called the office to make an emergency appointment for a broken tooth and extreme pain and swelling in my jaw and cheek. I emphasized that I was in a great deal of pain and needed seen as soon as possible. They were able to schedule me for 8 AM on 1/6/2026 and asked me to arrive 15 minutes early. So this morning, I drove 30 minutes from my home into Eugene, and as I was about to arrive, I received a phone call from the office telling me that the doctor wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t see me today. They said I could reschedule for tomorrow (but if the doctor is sick, won’t he likely be sick tomorrow, too) or drive another hour away to their other office in Lebanon. This is very unprofessional and has caused a great deal of inconvenience. I had already arranged to be off of work today for the appointment today, not tomorrow. It would be logical to have another dentist on call for situations like this, but instead it appears that they just cancel all appointments. Beware of this location if you value your time or need emergency care.

Experiencia fantástica: PC Smiles Dental and Dr. Dale McNutt, I finally found a dentist that looked at my teeth and didn’t say, “there’s nothing I can do for you”. I caused severe damage to my smile by grinding my teeth. From my late teens until I was about 40 I took my teeth for granted. I was lazy about my oral hygiene and didn’t really recognize a problem until the damage was severe. My back teeth were ground down which forced my front teeth to wear down as well. I didn’t get a night guard until my mid to late thirties, by that time the damage had been done. The dentist I was seeing said that I had two choices, I could try to have my teeth fixed or I could accept that my teeth would always be unsightly and I would have to focus on preventing more deterioration. If I chose to fix the problem, all of my back teeth would need to be replaced before they could do anything with my front teeth, it would take years and cost $60k - $80k minimum. I was told virtually the same thing from other dentist’s as well. “Are you planning on doing some modeling?” they would ask. “Well, then don’t worry about it” they would say after I shook my head. I grew a beard and mustache to help hide my smile. All front teeth were ground down to about 1/8th of an inch with big gaps in between. Completely different experience with Dr. McNutt. On my first visit the dentist walked in, he introduced himself, shook my hand and from that point on the priority was to fix my smile. No rude questions, no subtle shame, no shying away from a difficult repair job. The dentist, the technicians, the support staff even the equipment a facility are top notch, an efficient and hard working team of professionals. In addition to that they worked very generously with me on the bill. It took almost 4 hours with me in the chair to get the bulk of the prep work done, then I walked out with a temporary bridge on my upper 6 front teeth. A week later i went in to remove the temporary bridge and install crowns on all 6 of my front teeth and they look amazing! They look, and feel, completely natural and I’m still amazed weeks later. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to Dr. McNutt and the entire team. Thank you!

Experiencia positiva: The cleaning was more uncomfortable than before: some water got up my nose, and the water suction device gave me a bruise inside my upper lip. I finally asked to control the suction after that. The extractions were pretty easy, as expected since the teeth were somewhat loose.

Experiencia positiva: I had an odontoplasty. My feedback for dr. Mcnutt would be to check in frequently with the patient so that not too much tooth is removed. He ended up taking more off than I would have liked, which is something that cannot be undone. I wish I would have raised my hand earlier but I was told he would check in & do it gradually. Otherwise I love the dental hygienists, they are great communicators and provide great education! Love Kayla especially

Experiencia fantástica: I had a really traumatic experience at my last dentist (four crowns, no water, hot drill, not fully numb, four+ hours in the chair, not my regular dentist, no warning, to name just a few things). I have never had a fear of going to the dentist, but I didn’t go for a year because of it. At my very first appointment at Smiles, I was warmly welcomed by the front staff and my hygienist was amazing. Dr. McNutt came in for my exam and the first thing he asked me was “what can I do to make this a comfortable and safe experience for you?” Well…starting with that question was a great first step. I have had nothing but great experiences since then. The entire team is so great. I had three of the four faulty crowns replaced today and I could’ve fallen asleep in the chair. I recommended them to my daughter and she has also had nothing but great experiences.

Going to the dentist can often be a less than ideal experience all around. The team at Smiles Dental have made it as easy and pleasant as possible.

Experiencia positiva: My experience today was better, than previously. Before today, I was recommended a crown to replace one that had fallen out. My insurance paid $1200 for this crown. Found out today, I cannot use this crown and have additional options. $1200.00 down the drain, by a recommendation by Smiles dental. I have gained some confidence with today's staff. What a difficult experience to overcome, because of previous staff.

Experiencia negativa: We came in here thinking we had an appt here but it was actually the place next door. Staff was very short and unhelpful. Kept repeating we did not have an appt and staring. Could have said "maybe next door? We often get mixed up with them", that would have been great customer service but no. Just kind of glaring and waiting for us to go. I was very flustered and stressed.

(After seeing 2 other dentists this was called an extreme choice of treatment and unnecessary.) I highly recommend choosing any other dentist in town.

Staff are always willing to explain anything, from dental terms to insurance coverage. Chairs are comfy, and the view is nice. I was recommended to come here, and I would recommend it to anyone with anxiety about their own dental health.

Experiencia negativa: Hounding me for a $70 “deductible” for 3 years now when I only received a cleaning. My insurance covered preventative appointments with a $25 co-pay. I disputed the charge on the phone, never heard back, and continued to receive emails and text messages asking for the full amount. Wouldn’t recommend. Send it to collections. -Karen
