Experiencia fantástica: It's a real treat to visit Doctor Smith's office. Today i have an appointment with her, which I look forward to. Last night a tooth on my bridge came lose, so when I arrived for my appointment and told her what had happened, she said it would need to be sent to the lab for repair. I travel 2 hours to her practice, so that ment i would need to return in a couple of days. As she an her staff were working on my scheduled appointment, she looked closer at my bridge, and said she could do the repair in her office, saving me another trip to her office. Her and her staff always go the extra to make it as easy on their patients as possible. That kind of service is hard to find in this time we are in. Dr. Joy and Staff are awesome from the moment you enter, to the moment you leave. If you have ever felt uneasy going to a dentist, guess what, you make an appointment with her and it's like seeing an old friend. So make an appointment today, and you will be as happy as I am to see her and her staff. They will not disappoint. Thank you again Dr. and Staff. 5 stars plus a cookie .

Experiencia negativa: I have dental insurance which this office would not accept. My insurance in good insurance offered through an employer. I had a dental assessment because my mouth was in pain. I have not been to a dentist in a long time as I have an avoidance to dental work. I was not told how long my dentist appointment would take but I assumed 1 hour to 1 & 1/2 hours. NOT!! I was in that chair for 3 hours!! The assistant was very delightful and kind. Dr. Joy-Smith was very thorough but her assessment of my dental work needed was wrong. I sought a second opinion from a very reputable dentist who did NOT agree with the assessment of work necessary. I specifically asked about the areas of work that Dr. Joy-Smith stated were required. Not close to the same. Additionally, Dr. Joy-Smith was going to charge me a total of $20,100.00 for all the work. My new dentist that accepts my very good insurance- my share of cost after billing my insurance is a total $6,000. My advice is get a second opinion. Do NOT pay the outrageous amount that Dr. Joy-Smith’s office charges. She quoted work that did NOT need to be done. Also was going to extract teeth that didn’t need to be extracted. Proceed with caution. She is very nice but get a second opinion.

Update - I'm still very happy with this office. And it's still the best. I recently had a bone spur which can happen. Dr Barnes was new, or new to me anyway. She is so nice and gentle. I didn't want to be knocked out so we tried novacaine. I hardly felt the shot and I'm a wimp. She talked me through each step and I was relaxed and felt no pain at all. This is the best place to go, honestly. Top of the line equipment and amazing staff.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Smith rushes through everything and it's hard to believe she's still in business. She is crooked, will recommend extractions over treatment because she is lazy, will get upset and irritated with you if you don't love her bad work the first time. She has caused multiple problems in my mouth only to not take accountability. I left her office worse off than when I arrived. She only cares about your money not your mouth health or happiness. She scheduled an appointment for me after her filling failed after a WEEK and then rushed through it in 5 minutes and only when I started crying did her assistant finish it for me and make it look decent. She is not a good person and she is not a good dentist.

I have some tricky medical things and they coordinate around that well and they are very caring about it. My teeth are in poor condition and they have never made me feel bad or judged. Experiencia fantástica: I reached out to Dr. Smith’s office on February 14th. A friend of mine recommended her. I left a message and received a text about my missed call. I explained I was looking to replace my old dentures and would like to get an appointment. In the course of the texting I was asked if I was looking to get implants. Having researched costs (per Google) I was hesitant explaining I was a cash client (no dental insurance). An appointment for today 3/4/25 was set, and it was decided we could at least discuss implants. I was welcomed with professional friendliness and as I waited I asked two of the women in the waiting room how long they’d been coming. One said 25 years including her daughter, the other was 10 years. That spoke volumes. The assistant who took my X-rays using modern equipment was also friendly. Then she explained how the implants worked. When Dr. Smith came in I was again greeted with warm friendliness. She had looked at my X-ray and was pleased with the amount of bone available for a transplant. It was also determined my dentures, though ~16 years old would be sufficient and I wouldn’t need to purchase more. I never felt pressured to choose implants and was told Dr. Smith would help with whatever decision I made. I did decide to go forward with implants (4-6) lower jaw only. I had another friend tell me how well her lower denture sits with her implants. One of the office staff came in with the quote and I was in shock that it was much LOWER than what my research led me to believe might be my cost. I was given information on a payment plan I could apply for. Later I had a question about it the payment plan and asked through text. I received a response within the hour. I’m looking forward to having my dental work done at Dr. Smith’s office!

On the morning of the procedure I saw Dr. Smith on Your California Life and what a blessing!! After talking to her office I cancelled my other appointment and made an appointment with Dr. Smith. Well not only did she not remove my bridge she didn’t try to Up sale me, as a matter of fact she told me I didn’t need to do everything the the other Dentist said I needed!! Experiencia negativa: UPDATE: Dr. Smith wasn't able to give me the natural-looking teeth she promised me. Two of the implant posts that she drilled into my gums are loose and painful. I also have holes in my tongue from the posts rubbing on them every time I eat. I asked for a refund of the money I paid her and got the runaround. That was over two months ago, and I still haven't gotten my money back. She knows about the loose posts but completely ignored my concern about it. Instead, she offered to give me permanent implants. I declined her offer and clarified that I wanted my money back. I will have to have these posts taken out of my gums because they cause me so much pain. She destroyed the dentures I already had, and now I will have to hire a lawyer to get my money back. I don't know what to say, she isn't the professional I believed she was.

This was an “emergency “ appointment we had for my 101 year old momma. She had a tooth to be pulled and we were told to come in immediately for care. We are so happy with the entire office, from the front office to the back office, and of course, Dr.Smith!! To think this jewel has been right in the neighborhood all this time!! We are so pleased with the professionalism and dedication to this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had some dental issues and returned to Dr. Andrea Joy Smith's office to take care of some missing teeth. Two years earlier had a partial denture procedure due to a fall that broke my teeth and a couple of crowns. I was somewhat nervous as it was going to be removing most of my upper teeth. Once I met Dr. Smith and her staff I was no longer nervous they made me feel so comfortable absolutely the best. Dr Smith is a genius in her field, my denture looked great. It is so refreshing to find such caring and friendly people. I would and have recommended Dr. Smith to anyone that wants very the best dental care.

I highly recommend Dr Smith and her amazing team. Update: Today, after 4 months I had my permanent teeth installed! It’s been a journey. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Smith and her awesome team! They take such great care of you every time you come to the office. They make sure you’re comfortable, answer your questions, and best of all none of this hurt one bit! I do not feel troubled with the procedure so I am satisfied that I returned. My check up for Round II going well so my rating stands. As proclaimed my second round is going well. My implants procedure was difficult for me to follow but I got on track by following proper care procedures which has been rocky to stay on proper edibles although doable.
