Experiencia fantástica: The ladies that work in both offices are AMAZING! The only problem is the wait. Our appointment was at 1pm, the doctor did not come back into the office until 2:30pm. This is everytime we have been in the past 6 years. But he is super nice and patient with my daughter who has difficulty with new people due to her autism. If you have the time to spend I would definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and Doctor at Mobile Bay Vision in Bel Air Mall were awesome! I had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Went in filled out paperwork and had my exam in no time. The young lady at the front desk helped me pick out glasses so I had that done before the exam. The cost was reasonable also. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. Rescheduled my appointment 20 minutes before I was supposed to come in. I call back to confirm the reschedule date ( ortho appointment was already scheduled to follow this routine cleaning appointment) and they say they “don’t have any of my insurance information” and “can’t book an appointment until then” (mind you I submitted all of this information and even received a confirmation email after doing so. If you have time for the run around and constant back and forth then please give them your business.

Experiencia negativa: Be advised!! THEY VALUE THEIR TIME, but they certainly WON’T value YOURS. I am extremely disappointed with how this office treats established patients. I had a 3:00 PM appointment for my children that I had previously rescheduled specifically to ensure we could make it. I even spent a significant amount of time completing their lengthy pre-registration paperwork via text—a clear sign that I was coming. Despite all that effort, I showed up only to be told they had canceled my appointment because I didn’t "confirm" a single phone call. My phone filters calls, but they have my text and email on file (which is how they sent the paperwork!). They had days to send a follow-up text or email, and they had all day the day of the appointment to let me know it was canceled. Instead, they let me drive all the way there just to turn me away. What makes it worse is that they require you to sign a "no-show" fee agreement to protect their time, yet they have no problem wasting hours of a parent's time due to their own rigid and outdated policies. If you are looking for a dentist that respects your schedule and uses common sense, look elsewhere. We will not be back.

My optometrist explained everything to me and spent lots of time making sure everything was healthy and like it’s suppose to be. I would def recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I've been coming here since I was 14, the last time I came here I did not like how I was treated and rushed out the door by the doctor. Every time I come here for a cleaning they are always finding a cavity in my mouth and the cavity that they found I told them it wasn't bothering me and that I've been doing what I've suppose to do with my teeth, so this time I was concerned and wanted to ask questions because I am a type 2 diabetic and it could be affecting my teeth but nope I couldn't ask anything! They barely give me information on my wisdom teeth, Last year I had to ask the lady if those were my wisdom teeth on the X-Ray because she said nothing about it and after the last 2 visits I had to tell them to give me a referral. I don't think I will be coming back here, they ignorant and all about money.

I have a bad toothache and being bothered with it since the beginning of March and they won't see me until late April. I keep calling them they still won't see me till April 24.

Experiencia fantástica: Hello everyone! So I had an appointment this morning and I had a good visit, so I wanted to type a review One thing about it, I hate going to the dentist! The worst part I dread is the infamous scraper! Oh my goodness. I feel like my gums will get stabbed and my teeth scraped off! lol. but Miss Annie took good care of me and she did such a great job! I mean.. yeah the scraper was very uncomfortable and sometimes painful but she had to do what she needed to get the build up off (I hadn’t been since 2023). Miss Annie asked me was I okay throughout the cleaning and she was very gentle. I felt at ease with her and she was the best cleaner I have ever had! I wish I could request her every single time I go I also really enjoy how dim they have the lights in the room. Makes me feel like I am at home besides getting my teeth scraped lol. I understand the person who cleans your teeth can totally make or break your visit. Just know if you get Miss Annie, you are in good hands!

They did not communicate to me they were running behind until 45 mins after my appt time. If there is going to be that long of a delay they should have informed me earlier. They can do a better job of communicating with their patients.

Experiencia negativa: I recently visited Mobile Bay dental and Vision the mall location and wanted to share my experience. While the dental care provided was professional. I found that the atmosphere was not particularly child-friendly. Yes they do allow children as patients, I believe it’s important to note that this does not automatically equate to a child-friendly environment. A truly child-friendly practice goes beyond just accepting young patients; it involves creating a welcoming and comforting atmosphere. As a parent, I was hoping for a more welcoming environment for my child. The x ray rooms felt a bit intimidating, and there weren't many activities or distractions available to help ease my child's anxiety. My child felt rushed through the process, which made her anxious and uncomfortable . The tech was very impatient with my 3 year old. She was so quick to say “it’s okay we just won’t worry about x-rays this visit “ She didn’t take the time to actually explain to her about biting the clip or have patience with her at all. After X-rays we were then sent across the hall to the actual chair. The tech asked my SPEECH DELAYED child what flavor toothpaste she wanted. Once my child didn’t respond in the way she wanted. They said “we’re just going to make this into what we call a happy visit today “ I tried to explain to her that my baby has level 1 autism and she’s more of a hands on type person. She was like like “ohh okay “ also once visit was over we were rushed out. My child noticed the child in the lobby had a toy and she didn’t. I then had to go and ask for the toy for my child. I believe that creating a more child-friendly atmosphere could greatly enhance the experience for families. Overall, the dental care itself was good, but I hope to see improvements in accommodating young patients in the future

Experiencia negativa: Semmes location. Nice front desk staff. Terrible communication with parents and the procedures they're doing on their kids. There was a huge miscommunication on the procedures being done with my daughter because the assistant didn't read the chart correctly and was quoting things like needing a crown which she already had. I was flustered when the dentist walked in. She was rude and immediately went to she "didn't feel comfortable doing a filling" but "cavities are infections that can spread to your brain, heart.." while frowning (btw this had my daughter in tears when we left bc the dentist acted like cavities were a life threatening emergency while simultaneously refusing to do a filling). I was told at her cleaning over the summer that she could get fillings on her 2 adult teeth first; she was already 10 and would be losing her baby molars. Months later when finally getting an appt they filled 1 baby tooth and rescheduled for what I thought was the other adult tooth. So after the assistant mistakingly saying my kid needed 4 fillings and a crown, the dentist claimed that she needed 3 fillings and would be getting a baby tooth and adult tooth filled. I asked why the adult tooth wasn't filled on the other side at the last appointment and was told "it's alot of anesthesia for a kid". My kid didn't get put to sleep. She's 5'4", 140 lbs the size of an adult and they planned on doing 2 fillings that day, so it didn't make sense they didn't address her other adult tooth at the previous appointment. The dentist didn't know why they prioritized 1 baby tooth at her last appointment. The dentist said she didn't feel comfortable doing the adult tooth first as I had originally been told would happen and kept saying she'd give me a referral for someone else. I left with both my kids' charts to go elsewhere and told the mom that referred me and she said she'd be going elsewhere as well.

The practice standards are well above the norm. It's really the personality and the caring aptitude that makes them shine. Location is convenient, the parking is not so bad. Adults can also make appointments to be seen.

The wait can sometimes be longer than usual but the staff is always updating me on what’s going on. Dr. Reed who is the vision doctor is always pleasant as well. He has a way of making the patient feel comfortable and at home. He’s also great at making good conversations and making you laugh!
