Experiencia fantástica: As with my previous visits, everyone I encountered was very welcoming and kind. My hygienist today (didn't catch her name...darn mask!) was super nice and thorough. Dr. Adams, once again, was very clear and transparent in explaining this exam. Update for 7 June, 2023. Got a new crown today. Dr. Adams and his assistant (gosh I couldn't catch her name as she was wearing a mask, but she was excellent) were awesome! Very minimal discomfort and the chair was super comfy...I almost fell asleep! Dr. Adams created the new crown in office, which was a pleasant surprise...no having to return in two week's time! Thank you again and see you in August for a cleaning! Another bonus: the staff texted me to see if I could come in two hours earlier...that was great because I was able to leave two hours early! Update for 1 August, 2023. All went well. Friendly staff. Very thorough cleaning. Dr. Adams did a post-cleaning exam, and was also friendly, caring and thorough. Christina Garvin did a great cleaning! Update for 6 February, 2024. Chris did her usual great job with cleaning. An exam showed that I need a crown and a filling in the near future. Based on the previous crown I received, I'm confident it will go well. Update on 6 August, 2024: I needed a crown and filling. Dr. Sykes and assistant Cassidy did a great job in less time than expected. I hardly felt a thing, and I appreciate that they do the crown while you wait, eliminating the need to return. Thanks again, you guys rock! Update for 24 February, 2026: This visit, as well as the previous one were great. The front office staff are welcoming. Dr. Jordan and hygienist Chris were friendly and knowledgeable. Chris has been cleaning my teeth for several years, and continues to be detail oriented and thorough. The exams are quick and painless (I once had a dentist whose assistant performed exams that came close to inducing tears). I had a little difficulty getting there due to the road construction, so I would suggest allowing extra time to get there. I do have another crown that needs replacing sooner than later. They make the crown in office so there's no need for a temporary and return visit!

I had an emergency and got the appointment 4 hrs later ,I had to extract my tooth and everything was done in 30 min and the recovery was fast and didn't hurt AT ALL! The prices are high but not the highest I saw - luckily my insurance cover most of it. Great place and I wont go nowhere else.

Brianna was most professional in introducing me to the services available and compassionate, making me feel that I was among friends interested in my welfare. Dr. Shane Sykes gave a through and detailed explanation of all necessary work in a way that was very easy to understand. I am confident of his abilities and his concern for what is the best approach for my dental needs with my personal circumstances. Melissa was my hygienist and after 10+ years of no dental work we were both scared of what we were going to find in my mouth! I told her i had really bad experiences with previous dentists and was really scared to start my dental journey again. She was very understanding and she kindly talked me through every step of what she was doing, why she was doing it, and if there would be even the slightest bit of pain. The following week I came back to get 2 small cavities filled. Jordan was my dentist and she was also amazing! ( I feel horrible cause i don't remember her assistants name but she was also great!) . I told her of my previous experiences with dentist and she had no problem making sure i was 100% numb before starting her work. I now have no cavities, a clean mouth, and will be going nowhere else for my dental needs! Thank you so much for making this such a pleasant experience! You gained a customer for life!

Experiencia fantástica: Dental hygienist is awesome! Spends a lot of time on my teeth. Always checks in that I’m doing good and nothing feels uncomfortable. I’ve never had to wait long for the dentist to check my teeth. I have been going to this dentistry for about 5 years.

Experiencia fantástica: This is by far the best dental office in town!! I have a medical condition, Sjogren's Syndrome, that causes excessive dental damage. Dr. Jordan has not only created a dental plan for me but also rechecks teeth from previous appointments to ensure that everything is still looking good. Dr. Jordan and the staff are so amazing!! I will never go to any other dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: Kerri was so accommodating and friendly. Dr Jordan was able to explain a better and cost effective treatment plan suited for me. It was just unfortunate that their suction malfunctioned, they could've started my treatment plan since I was leaving at the end of the month. But will definitely come back to finish my treatment. I have never been so comfortable going to the dentist. Hopefully after my treatment, I will regain that confident smile I needed. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Good first experience. Was explained things in depth and well. I had lots of questions. Look forward to moving on with treatments knowing I can ask questions and be talked to in a coherent (non doctor lingo) type way that I can understand. Example: “my cave tooth here is probably gonna get worse, eh?” , “around here we call that (————) but yeah, your cavetooth is gonna start acting up and cause (————-) which is well crappy to future you.” Playful questions, playful but informative info. Easier to get at the “root” of the problem.

Experiencia negativa: Only place in town somehow more sketchy then Absolute dental. Bearing the name Reno and making the City look bad while overcharging for inexperienced work. I was overcharged here in 2024 after going in for a cleaning and extraction. Cleaning was rough and rude, everyone there treated me like a child. They had some weird disrespect towards me, maybe because at the time I didn't have insurance?? I don't know, but It cost me an arm and a leg for a cleaning and extraction. Hopefully the next poor soul to wander in had insurance, maybe then they won't discriminate as much. Who knows?

High tech (like crazy good high tech,) friendly people, doctors that want to know who you are not just take care of your teeth, and a wonderful view while being seen; these are the reasons I highly recommend The Reno Dentist. I was heard, I was seen, I was validated. And I can actually afford the care because they aren't as expensive as other dentist's in the area. Very happy!

Experiencia fantástica: I used to dread everything about dentistry and waited too long to go because of it. I am sure a lot of people say that . When I knew I had to go back after some issues, I switched to these folks and it was a breeze. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Everyone here is awesome! If you don’t like great customer service, singing (Britney Spears) in the background, or going the extra mile to help you feel better about your smile this place isn’t for you. But I would definitely recommend them to everyone!

Experiencia negativa: I'm a long-haul trucker. I called this place because I'm in terrible, excruciating pain over a filling that fell out. The receptionist was more concerned about payment than the patient. I have cash to pay for the services! Unbelievably rude! "Here's the thing...." Money over Care!! Update: I noticed that only Good Reviews get a response. WOW!

Experiencia negativa: I was spending $700+ on single scaling and root planning cleanings at this place for my "irreversible periodontitis". And they claimed I needed 4 cleanings a year which would amount to THOUSANDS. I saw another dentist today and he told me I DO NOT have periodontitis and my teeth are very healthy. He said i only need $60 prophylaxis cleanings. So either my periodontitis magically cured itself (not possible) or I was paying nearly thousands for a disease I did not have at this office. Disappointing.

Experiencia positiva: I went here because of the high ratings, but I had an underwhelming and a bit unpleasant experience. My appointment was for an exam, x-rays, & cleaning. The receptionist that I spoke to on the phone told me the total would be $461 without insurance. I thought this was reasonable since it was similar pricing to my previous dentist in NYC. After arriving, I paid the $461 and Melissa took my x-rays and I met with Dr. Morales, who were both very friendly. I was then told that my cleaning would be an additional $188 which meant my total was really $649. This seemed dishonest to do and I wished the receptionist had been upfront about the cost. I wouldn’t have minded, but the cleaning was a bit strange from what I was used to. It seemed like Melissa only used hand instruments on my teeth and there was no ultrasonic scaler used in conjunction. I don’t know if they just didn’t have a Cavitron or I wasn’t given the choice, but it’s something I would’ve preferred as a patient. It was also awkward how she said I can rinse my teeth, but put water in my mouth as I was lying down and suctioned it out. Wouldn’t it be more comfortable to hand me a cup of water and let me do it sitting up? I want to say Melissa did a good job cleaning my teeth. I just didn’t like my experience because this place was more expensive than my dentist in NY, but lacked the comfort I was used to.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a summer job in Truckee when I started having on and off severe tooth pain which would not go away. Not having a local doctor I started searching for an emergency dentist in Reno. I found The Reno Dentist on google and they had a lot of great reviews, especially about taking emergency patients. I read the Bios of the 3 dentists at the practice and about the services they provide. I called on Monday and Dr. Jordan (Hasfurther) was able to see my the next morning (Tuesday). All of the staff and Dr. Jordan were very friendly. Dr. Jordan took in to account my extreme anxiety about going to a dentist and made me very comfortable and as calm as she could. Because of my anxiety she, after making a diagnosis that I needed a root canal, referred me to an endodontist who does sedation-which went very very well (thanks to my great neighbor who drove me to and from the appointment due to the sedation). I returned to Dr. Jordan for her to place a crown on the tooth which was very fast as they have a machine to make crowns in-house. Because I hadn't been to a dentist in years, Dr. Jordan put together a dental plan during my initial visit and I am hoping to complete it before my summer job ends to get my mouth back in shape. My dentist anxiety has been greatly reduced. Thank you to Dr. Jordan and staff at The Reno Dentist. Highly recommended.

Experiencia negativa: I went to the Reno Dentist for years and it slowly became more about the up-sell to products that they carried or something to make more money. They were mad when my husband said that he did not want to pay out of pocket $300 for a "deep cleaning", after that they didn't want to do anything for him. After several years of going to them, I decided to get another dentist for us. I found out last week that they did not have the decency to call me and let me know that I had a credit of over $600, my information was all the same, but instead of contacting me, they sent it to the State because of an inactive account. Also, over the years, they would never tell me when I had a credit but would always send me a bill if I owed. Something is wrong with this way of business.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had to change dentists due to insurance coverage issues. The Reno dentists were amazing. They got both myself and my son in very quickly. I was greeted by an amazing front desk team. When I met Dr. Jordan, Megan and other team members, we were instantly put at ease. We were well informed to what they were doing, looking for and gave us the information that most practices do not. My son and I are so glad we found this dentist and her amazing team. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. By far the best service I’ve experienced at a dental practice, period. Highly recommend.

My crown came off while eating salt water taffy, and they were able to get me in within the week, and fixed me right up! They were able to make a new crown on the spot, none of that send away stuff. And there was NO pain! I get so nervous going to the dentist, but they made this a great experience. Thank you so much! Update: I had another great experience today! I have to say it again, everyone here is so nice! I get so nervous at the dentist usually. But here, for some reason, my dental anxiety isn't as bad. Yay!!

But when i called Reno Dentist not only did they get me in asap the reassurances that the would do there best to get me out of pain. To the point of letting big issues go, like broken teeth, etc. Not only was the staff understanding but worked with me. I had a tooth extracted less than hour ago. Trauma free. Professional. Everything was explained. No hidden costs. I highly recommend the Reno Dentist team. I never want to go anywhere else. I am even going to make an appointment for a regular check up!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a root canal get infected while in town and 4 other dentists turned me away. I took a chance here and just showed up and the compassionate receptionist squeezed me in even though they were fully booked. Every person I worked with treated me so well and helped with a temporary solution until I can see my dentist at home tomorrow. Anyone who has had severe tooth pain knows how quickly they escalate and what a relief it is when you can get any help. Thank you for your big hearts ladies!

Experiencia fantástica: Like most , I am not a big fan of going to the dentist. Necessary evil and all that. Since I moved to Reno , I have switched to Reno Dentist and they have been fantastic. Super friendly from the front desk all the way to the dentist. I have a recession that always causes pain when getting my teeth cleaned. Today, I had my first pain free teeth cleaning. Amazing . They spent time making sure I was cleaned without pain. Amazing! Can't recommend them highly enough .

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give them 100 stars out of 5 I would. Easily the best customer service I have ever experienced. Everyone was so friendly, happy, and knowledgeable. I was nervous about finding a new dentist but The Reno Dentist staff gave me an incredible experience. Going to the dentist for the first time in 5 years is intimidating for obvious reasons. Turns out, it wasn’t bad at all. They were able to quickly tell me what type of cleaning I need and I’ll be having them pull my wisdom teeth in a few months. I highly would recommend giving them a visit.

The great service continued with Chris and Dr. Sykes. Chris provided my cleaning and she was very sweet and soft-toned. Dr. Skyes was amazing! He had very effective interpersonal communication and made me feel like family. They have completely changed my perception of dentistry, and I am excited to go back in 6 months. They got me in to diagnose & perform a route canal the same day! They definitely lived up to their name. Excellent service & this will be my new go-to dentist.

They even called the morning of to offer an earlier appointment time . I’m not one for liking dentist appointments but they were all so nice and made me feel very comfortable while going over all my options and future dental care/work . Dr. Jordan did such an amazing job! Definitely would recommend

Experiencia fantástica: I went in incredibly nervous. I have not been to a dentist in over a decade. The staff there where incredible. They made the whole experience amazing. Talked me though what was to be expected. They addressed the cavities that where causing me discomfort first and foremost. The dentist and assistant where professional and truly kind. My teeth look amazing. Could not even tell I had a cavity on my front teeth. Front staff made sure I was aware exactly the break down with my insurance. Zero hidden fees. 12/10 Highly Recommend. I will be coming back for a full comprehensive and cleaning later this month. They have made me a loyal patient.

Experiencia fantástica: What a wonderful environment! My eight year old twins and I visited the Reno dentist for the very first time today. It’s always nerve wracking switching dentists! However, right when you walk in, you feel at ease. The font desk ladies were amazing and sweet and both my dentist Jordan and hygienist Kris were extremely personable and kind and explained everything in an easy way for me to understand. Even after leaving my daughter voiced how friendly and nice everyone was. Would absolutely recommend anyone to the Reno Dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with the Reno Dentist team has been excellent from start to finish. They really take care of their patients, and they were very organized and transparent, not only about the costs of procedures, but also what the procedures actually are and how they can help. Like, they actually taught me and showed me how to brush my teeth well, so I don’t continue to flatten toothbrushes. Also, I work late hours and have a hectic schedule, and they were able to work with me and find a time to fit me in. The hygienist and dentists have all been super friendly and genuinely took the time to figure out what my needs are and even made accommodations to make sure I can get the full benefits of my insurance. Good people and a solid team — would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dentist. Thank you all!

Experiencia fantástica: I called this morning as a new patient with wisdom tooth pain, they were able to get me in within 2 hours. All the staff is so kind and made this experience so much more comfortable than other dentist experiences I’ve had. Completely judgement free and SO NICE. Their office and exam rooms were all clean and modern too.
